Error message when watching movie

I am watching a rented movie on apple tv and the message "an error occurred loading this content"  this also happens when i try to watch a movie rented first on my mac computer and watching on  tv.  Not sure what to do.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general.
You should also try restarting your router.

  • Error message when syncing movie to my classic 120gig

    Hi There,
Hoping someone can help me figure out why I get the error message "your computer is not authorized to play this movie" when trying to sync a purchased movie from itunes. The movie shows up in my purchased movies section on itunes and I have authorized it through the itunes store as instructed but it still says I'm not authorized. Also, the movie does not have audio or video but the title credits are there and the run time displays the movie as running but the screen is blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Error message when copying .mov files

    Hello,
I'm trying to copy .mov files to back up from my desktop and from an external hardrive (250gb) to a new external hardrive (350gb) but each time I am getting the an error message saying the operation can not be completed due to unexpected error (error code 0). The files i am trying to copy are between 7gb and 20gb. Does anyone what what the error message means or how I can get around it please?!
    Thanks!

If you want to use large files you have to reformat it. It will erase any data that is on the drive, If the drive will be used only with OSX, format it as Mac Extended (HFS+) Journaled with the GUID partition table.
Start Disk Utility (Utilities Folder). Select the drive in the left column (be sure to select the drive, all the way at the left, not the volume indented below it). Select the "Partition" tab. Set "Volume Scheme" to "1 Partition". Click the "Options" button. Select "GUID Partition Table". Click the "OK" button. Enter the volume name and click the "Apply" button.

  • Error message when downloading movies

I have tried to download a couple movies without success for the past two weeks. I continue to go "search for downloads" and restart the process, but still no success. They both attempt to download and after 1 hour or so into the download I get one of the following error messages.
The error message numbers that I'm getting is "9003" and "8003" Has anyone had this problem and solved it?
    Thanks

Launch Image Capture and see if it can see and download the iPhone's videos to the Desktop. There are some apps, like iPhone Explorer and iPhone Photo Transfer that might be able to download those files to the Desktop,
You can find them by searching for "iPhone" at MacUpdate.com.
    Happy Holidays

  • TS3354 What is the solution for the error message when playing movies on a windows computer that doesn't support HDCP?

How do I make my Windows computer Dell Latitude E7440 play the movies I just purchased? I am getting the message, "To play this movie in HD, your PC must have Windows 7 and a built-in display or a display that supports HDCP."
Is there a fix or solution ot this problem? Please help!

    Hello Mendeezee,
Depending on the age of the monitor, you may not be able to playback any HD content that is purchased in iTunes. One way to check is to download the SD version that comes with the HD version. Check out the articles below for more clarification.
iTunes for Windows: Unable to view or play HD video content that requires HDCP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3354
iTunes: Purchasing and viewing HD videos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3209
In iTunes for Windows, in order to view HD content, both the display hardware (computer screen, LCD, external monitor, and so on) and video card driver must support HDCP.
Note: Depending on your computer's hardware limitations, you may be unable to purchase, rent, or view HD content from the iTunes Store. If you are trying to view HD video on an external display, the display must have a digital connection (DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI) and support HDCP.

  • Error message when trying to import Quicktime movies

All of the sudden, I'm getting this weird error message when trying to import various Quicktime movies. I've never seen this message before:
File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown
Any thoughts why this might be happening? Any input would be appreciated.

I now see that two of them have been encoded using the AAC, Sorenson Video 3 codec which is not one I've seen before so I suspect that would be it.
The other one I'm having trouble with is encoded using Integer (Big Endian), Animation. I know I've seen the Integer (Big Endian) codec before so do you think that because it's animation that's a problem? I imported several other uncompressed files that were encoded with Integer (Big Endian) that worked fine so that's my suspicion.
Tom, you've always been very helpful on these boards for my questions. Thank you so much.

  • Getting error message when opening i-movie!

Why I am getting this error message when I try to open i-movie?
"i-movie requires a graphic card that is compatible with Quartz Extreme. One of your graphics cards does not support Quartz Extreme."
I need to do a quick project tonight and need this program to open. I have not updated or done anything to my computer.
    HELP!!!!

iMovie is saying it doesn't think you have it installed on a computer that has the proper video card.
This usually ends up requiring that you reinstall your OS, but try the basic troubleshooting first: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3249

i'm gettin an error message when I try to play a movie a rented using Apple TV 2nd generation. How do I solve this?

I don't believe I've seen a solution to that error code. There's a new version of iTunes out, have you installed it yet, it might be worth trying. You might also try restarting your Apple TV and router.

  • HT5731 Have 55GB available, but get error message when trying to download movie to add storage

Have 55GB available, but get error message when trying to download movie to add storage

Go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage. Let all of the apps load in the window. You can see how much storage you have used and how much you have left. You will need about twice the size of the download of free storage in order to be able to download the movie. Also, the iOS will not let you use every bit of available storage on the device.
You can delete content in there if needed, but if you sync with iTunes it's a good idea to transfer purchased into iTunes and backup your iPad before you delete content. If you use iCloud only, backup with iCloud before you delete any content.

Never mind I fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this problem, after you reinstall iTunes you have to delete all your old music, and if you have iTunes match all the songs you have saved on itunes match will display and you just have to download them to your Macbook.
