Error: No valid application component hierarchy exists in RSA5

Hi Gurus,
We have recently installed SAP R/3 for BW. when i get in to RSA5 i am getting error message "no valid application component hierarchy exists" . Do i need to do any settings here. When click enter later on, i can see all the data sources under new_hier_root.
And under new_hier_root i have unassinged notes
New_Hier_root -> unassigned notes -> application components.

first we need to transfer application hierarchy.
try this one SBIW>Business Content DS>Transfer Application Component Hierarchy or RSA9.

Hi,
Our BW pulls data from CRM.
In CRM Development, all content/generic datasources are placed under specific nodes in Application Hierarchy which I can see in RSA6.
But all these datasources exist under NODESNOTCONNECTED node in CRM-Quality !!! How can I transport application component hierarchy ??

If your application component hierarchy is assigned to local object then first you need to change the package.
Go to TCode: SE03
For Object Type Selection use: DSAA
Object: APCO
Now change object directory from $TMP to the one being used in your porject.
Also check OSS notes:

For changing the paackage:
Go to TCode: SE03
Select option Change Object Directory entries (Under Folder Object Directory)
In the next screen you box Selection by Object you look for the 1st emptly line
Or you can also click on create object directory button
In the Object type box (Small box for 4 chars) type in DSAA or you can also do F4 and find it..
Then in the box next to it you put in the Object Name
In this case it should be APCO (if this does not work try apco_merged)
Select it and hit execute...
OR
try se09 - choose workbench request - cursor position on request, menu - request/task->object list->include object->freely selected objects
under 'selection by type and name' choose 'selected', mark the checkbox on last blank line, and give 'dsaa' and *
in next screen, cursor on 'apco' and click icon 'in request' (include in request), do the same for 'apco_merged'.
release the request and transport.

Missing Application Component Hierarchy for source system

Hi
I have a problem I hope you can help me with.
We have created a sandbox as a copy of an existing APO/BW production system. On this system we have created 2 source systems: 1) R/3, 2) The system itself (EAX).
The R/3 source system seems to work fine, but there is a problem with EAX. First time i opened the system I was met with the message "Application component hierarchy does not exist, Create?". Nothing happened when choosing create.
After reading through similar topics on this forum, I went into RSA6. The view in here is similar to that on production, so I saved and tried again. Now it does come up with a tree, but it only has one node (NEW_HIER_ROOT(No Text Found)) and no datasources.
I then tried to transport the Application component hierarchy" from the production system. That didn't solve it either (still looks the same).
Does anyone know how to fix this? It would be much appreciated.

Unable to view complete Application Component Hierarchy.( Its Urgent)

While creating Datasources with RSO2, I am selecting Application components, In the Application Component Hierarchy, I am unable to view the complete Hierarchy, ie subtrees are not available .
Say Under PA-> PA-PA-IO is visible . ie All subtrees are missing under this application component, Including transaction data sources under PA and also Master Datasources under PA-PA-IO. Like this all subtrees under each application components are not visible.
I have checked the Datasources delivered by SAP ie using RSA5 . Here all Application components are available including subtrees.
I have tried with RSA9 tried to transfer the Application component hierarchy but invain.
Please help me in this regard. Its very Urgent.

You can rename your <JDev_Home>\jdev\system to <JDev_Home>\jdev\system_backup, f.ex.
But it means you will lose your preferences, DB connections, ...

Allocation of Info sources to Application Component Hierarchy

Hi Friends,
I have to allocate Info sources zo other nodes of application component hierarchy as they are allocated now.
Is there a way to do this benath 'Drag and Drop' in RSA1 ?
Or can someone tell me the name of the table where this relation is stored ?

Hi,
U just drag and drop the required ISs to the rquired application component hierarchy. I have no idea about the Table where it maintains the relation between the ISs and the application componet hierarchies.

While modifying extractor (LO Cokpit) I am getting this error.. I have deleted data through t.code LBWQ & LBWG still I am getting this ERROR,
" Entries for application 13 still exist in the extraction queue -> "
and it is givig the Diagnosis as below
Diagnosis
You are not allowed to change the extract structure MC13VD0ITM forapplication 13. This is because unprocessed entries are still presentin an extraction queue of application 13 for at least one client.
If an extraction structure is changed for which there are still openentries in an extraction queue, these entries can no longer be read andthe collective update terminates.
Please help me out..it is urgent...

Do one things, to fix this problem, go to the BW for that info package, it seems
its already exists..if yes..delete the initialization request from the package
and come back to R/3 try to delete the application 13 and it will allow to make
the changes to the struc.

Urgent:Application component hierarchy is not available in BI

Experts!
I want to extract data from r/3 to bi,
I 've activated appln comp hier from sbiw,n activated datasourses as well in R/3
when i want replicate data sourses in BI, there is no appln comp hier in BI
if i double click on sourse system in rsa1,it should display data sourse tree,but this is not happening,
My ques is whatis the problem, do i need to check any other settings,
please provide me right solution,

Use the transaction code RSA9 in R/3 inorder to transfer application component hierarchy this step needs to perform first.
Use tcode RSA5 to activate the data sources then do the set up necessary in r/3 and after wards replicate.

Application component Hierarchy Transfer from Dev to QA

HI,
We need to transport the application Component Hierarchy from r/3 dev to r/3 qa .
when we select the datasources and click the transport button it does not show up a transport request.
when i tried to run RSA9 transaction in r/3qa it does not get executed and says " no changes allowed" as the system is locked . Our r/3 qa is locked so that no changes are allowed in the system as testing is under progress. our application component hierarchy looks blank with no data sources .
Is there any work around so that i can transfer the application component hierarchy in r/3 qa so that i can replicate the datasources on the bw side or should we open the client and run the RSA9 transaction so that the application component hierarchy is visble and replication can be done on the bw side.
I can only transfer Data sources from Dev to QA. Since I am not able to transfer the "Application component hierarchy" I cann't replicate the Data Sources into BW.

I believe the problem is that your app comp hier is not assigned to a package. You need to change this from $TMP to some other package. You can do this using the transport organizer tools transaction SE03(Change Obj Directory Entries). The object type is dsaa. If you search RSA9 in OSS I think you'll find some mention of this.

Transport Application component hierarchy problem

Hello, I need to transport the App Comp Hierarchy, in our R3 when i do RSA9 it asks for package, but in our ICH and SRM box it didnt prompt the request. I've read the previous posts where create a request and assign a objects manually
as in note 382471

when i try to do this either in our Customizing or ABAP client i get this error..

Logon on to ur development system go to RSA9 then it will pop up u the screen to transfer the application component yes or no , u say yes then it will ask for the package name ,give the package name which u have already created ,
then go to se09 & relase the request ,now logon in to other system eg: - quality system ask u basis person to import that request in to quality

Error while validating application in version 11.1.2.2

Hi guys,
This is the first time I work with EPMA, and I find it really challenging!
1) While trying to deploy the application after updating the Shared Library (all dimensions in the application are shared), I got the following error:
"Error: The 'View' dimension has been modified since the first successful deployment of the application".
I read it's not recommended to change the View dimension, but... if it is necessary, can you do it? The Scenario default frequency is MTD, and the only members I have in the View dimension are: YTD, QTD and Periodic. Periodic and MTD should work the same way, but I'm not sure if I can use it.
2) I also get some warnings in the Account dimension:
"The 'Hierarchies' section contains a duplicate entry for member "Sales_Tot'. I think this is related to an alternate roll up (IsPrimary property is set as "N"), but does it mean that the account is not going to be added to the alternate account roll up? Is there any way to avoid this kind of warning?

If I remember correctly I think it caches the dimension information so if you add a new hierarchy doesn't update the cache, restarting clears the cache. Probably one to log with Oracle to see what they have to say.

BPC Error in Validation "0RATE_TYPE does not exist in source"

Hi Experts,
We are on BPC 7.5 Netweaver version SP7.
I am loading FX RATES to BPC from BI DSO using Data Manager. I am getting an error while doing validation for One of the InfoObject in DSO stating "0RATE_TYPE is not a valide command or 0RATE_TYPE does not exist in source " . I find that same infoObject 0RATE_TYPE is missing from the "field list " in "set selection" parameter while validating the transformation file; In datatype I am selcting "Transaction data from NW BW InfoProvider"
Pl let me know how it is possible that the transformation file has mapping for my InfoObject 0RATE_TYPE but my InfoObject 0RATE_TYPE is not available for selection.
Also if we can change the selection where to make required changes in BI Or BPC.

Can not create an Application Component on SAP R/3 system

I have a source as SAP R/3 ( ECC 6.0 ) and Target as SAP BW 7.0
a)Log on to SAP BW 7.0 and used the ID3CLNT400 source system , by using Modeling --
> Source System -- choose Customizing Extractors from the context menu of the source system ID3CLNT400
In the transaction SBIW on the SAP Source system , choose the Business Information Warehouse -- > Post Processing of DataSources
 > Edit DataSources and Application Component Hierarchies.
Choose the IMG Activity Here , I am getting one warning.
"NO Valid Application Component Exists"
When I hit the continue button .
Here when I create an Application Component and SAVE the changes, I am getting the following error.
Package "Z_Train" doesnt exists. Chose "Display Object " or "Cancel"
Because of this , I couldnt creat an Application component and also couldnot load any thing on the SAP BW side. Also , I am no way connected to the "Z_TRAIN" Package

Currently no application component hierarchy ("APCO_MERGED", database table RODSAPPL and RODSAPPLT) exists in the system. This is required in BW so that the DataSources can be displayed correctly in the source system tree.
Procedure
Copy the application component hierarchy from the Content using transaction RSA9.
In development system I went to RSA9 & transferred the application componet then its asks or pkg name I have given the pkg name also before use the datasrcs , I have transported the same thing to production before transporting the datasrcs but in production the application component herarachy did not get transported I think that why its giving the msg No valid application component hierarchy exists but my datasrcs got transported ,pls suggest me what has to be done
Should I import the same request in to production again
Or shall I run rsa9 again & transfer the application component hierarchy again & transport it to production id I do this will already transported datarscs have any effect in production

Error in Integration Scenario: No software Component version exists

Hi Experts,
We have external product and software component like Product "Project Management" we have imported the CIM content for it
Now when we create an Application Component for the same in Integration Scenario in ESR (PI7.1)
while trying to do right click --> Edit Action it gives Error
"" No imported software component version exists for product"
Also note that it allows us to Add new Action there
that is we can right click --> Add action

Application component does not exist in source system

hello all,
I was check the datasources in RSA5 but i cant see any application component hierarchy ...
all i can see is unassigned nodes...and all the datasources are under these 'unassigned nodes'
Could anybody tell me why its like this and what we can do to fix it...

Run RSA9 to transfer it, and then you should see it in RSA5.

About application component

When I execute the rsa6 and see the logs.The system display the title of message:Application component 0CRM_SALES of DataSource 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 does not exist.and other message as follow:
Diagnosis
You tried to assign a DataSource to the application component 0CRM_SALES. This application component is, however, not entered in the RODSAPPL table as an application component.
System response
The DataSource is saved, but is not visible in BW under the node NODESNOTCONNECTED.
Procedure
You do not have the option yet to transfer the application component hierarchy from the Content.
You transfer the hierarchy with Business Content.
I do the hierachy also can not deal the question.pls give me some help
