Error Syncing Outlook Calendar

I recenty installed BB Desktop Manager to sync my personal BB Torch.  When I go into Desktop Manager to sync calendar I get the following error message: Error Encounted, Error code: 0x80043ac9 check documention.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Desktop Manager and the problem continues.  I have also shut off the wireless sync as well.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem.  Wasted 3 weeks googling, installing and re-installing the software.  The problem is with invalid characters in one of your calendar items.  My faulty appointment did not have any pre-1900 dates as BlackBerry's website says.  The only way I could find this faulty record was to:
make a backup of all my calendar entries on the phone using Backup in Desktop Software
delete say last month of entries in the calandar on the phone
synchronise, if you get the error again the faulty record is somewhere before the last month
delete another month of entries, synchronise and so on
when you get to the point that you don't get the error message than delete all calandar entries on the phone by using Delete Data in Desktop Software and Restore all the entries from the Backup
then its a matter of isolating the faulty record by deleting week by week in that faulty month.
There is no way to find out which entry corresponds to the record number given at the time the error message is shown.  Pretty annoing.

  • Error syncing Outlook calendars : "sync server failed to sync the phone"; bad Outlook entries?

I just started having problems syncing my calendars from Outlook 2007/WinXP to my iPhone via iTunes, getting the "cannot sync" error. I tried following all the advice elsewhere on these boards -- deleting my backups and resetting sync history, using a different cable/USB port, etc., but nothing helped. I'm strongly averse to doing a backup/recovery unless I absolutely positively know it will fix it, and right now, I doubt that it will.
I looked in the sync log files, and found this:
    [2828 @ Wed Jul 06 15:08:27 2011] [_ISDVLog AppleMobileSync.exe] While filtering - Some ids (<CFArray 0254F1B8 [00BC5078]>{type = immutable, count = 15, values = (
        0 : E8034F72-29A8-7448-8CDE-343B4F9B8420
        1 : 91D1F339-ADF7-064D-9BF4-1634B516832B
        14 : 37C931FA-1102-F44D-B670-4E118229A8B9
)}) to filter were not found in the truth! There must be a reference to a non-existent record
So I suspect the problem lies here, and that it's complaining that some calendar records are somehow corrupt or otherwise problematic for the sync engine. However, I'm at a loss to figure out which items these are, or how to even narrow it down to a specific calendar -- it doesn't matter if I uncheck all of the calendars but one, I still get it no matter what, making me think it could be in a calendar I am explicitly NOT trying to sync.
Or...given that the problem happens if I unselect all my individual calendars (the "Sync Calendars with..." remains checked), could the problem be corrupt records on the phone? I haven't tried removing the calendars entirely on the phone and replacing them, although that may be my next step, but if the sync continues to fail, I'll have NO calendar data (instead of just out-of-date data), which is far worse.
Am I on the right track here?

Well, the answer is that I was on the right track with the second suggestion. The problem seems to have been corrupt records on the phone itself. I checked the option to replace all calendar information on the next sync, then synced a second time, and everything restored fine. (Minus the calendar colors that I had arranged just so, but that's fixable with lots of re-syncing and patience.)

  • Problem Syncing Outlook Calendar: Error code - 0x80043ac9

    Hi,
When I try to sync my Outlook 2003 calendar entries with my Curve, I get the following error:
"Error encountered. Error code - 0x80043ac9. Check documentation."
It seems to be stuck in the "Processing Device Calendar" screen, with "Record 20 of 80 Records", when the above error popped up. See screenshot below.
I have NO PROBLEM syncing Outlook Contacts or Memos. I ONLY have problem when syncing Outlook Calendar.
I've read other posts out there where there was a similar problem when syncing Contacts, and the solution is to remove Birthday contact entries:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Curve-BlackBerry-8900/error-code-0x80043ac9/m-p/56...
But I don't have any Birthday in my contacts, and my problem is with Calendar, not Contacts.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this, or encountered similar problems? It's probably a "bad" calendar entries in there somewhere, but I'm not sure which.
    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums!
    I suggest the following:
Back up the calendar database on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Clear the calendar database on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Note: For instructions on how to clear an individual database on the BlackBerry smartphone, see KB10167.

  • New 3GS hangs when syncing Outlook calendars and contacts

My new 3GS hangs when syncing Outlook calendars and contacts on my PC running XP. I've read a bunch of previous similar posts but haven't seen a solution. Does anyone have any hints? Thanks in advance

This is a rare problem these days; it was common with earlier versions of the firmware. It is usually caused by a corrupted database in Outlook. Open contacts in Outlook and check the first few entries. Open each, make a change, and save it. If you get an error saving it you should either delete it, or export the entire address book from within Outlook, then reimport it. One of these will fix the problem if it is a corrupt entry.

  • Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars.  I am not running exchange server.

Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars?  I am not running exchange server.

    hello,
BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
    1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
    2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
    3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
    4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

I'm trying to sync outlook calendar and contacts via icloud control panel. Everything works when control panel is run manually but it will not run automatically after that. Anyone got any ideas

I am having a very similar problem. Until 12 hours ago, I was using my recently replaced 4s (with iOS7) flawlessly, receiving emails and calendar info from Exchange (Outlook 2010). But starting last night, it all stopped. I have deleted and added the account several times, tried making simple changes (considering whether the username is case sensitive, or not, etc.) and cannot fix it. I have iOS 7.04. Interestingly, the first time I changed the case to lower case, it seemed to respond immediately, and downloaded many emails with no sender, no content, and with a 12/31/69 date. Yes, 1969. And then nothing happened. Help please!

  • Syncing Outlook Calendars and Contacts with iPhone - There is NO SOLUTION

I have searched the Apple support forums, Mac Forums, MS forums, spoken to Microsoft Support and iCloud support. Everybody says that there is no way to directly sync Outlook Calendars and Contacts with iPhone and other remote devices and nobody has a work around. I see 100s of forum threads started with this issue, most have no answer and the few that do are not offering solutions. I post this as a final effort to seek a solution! Who will be my savior? Or should I just admit defeat and allow myself to be cast aside in the battle between two giant corporate babies who don't like to play in the same sandbox?
Is my knight in shining armor out there?!

The information is correct, MS do not support the Dav standard in Outlook for Mac (but they do in Outlook for Windows), until they add support for it Calendars and Contacts will not work with Outlook for Mac.

Yes per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 setup iCloud on all devices under the same account and backup to the cloud. If its two iPhones, are they both one owner? If not,it's best to not setup iCloud on a device that is not the same owner.

  • Curve 8310 Problems Syncing Outlook Calendar & Desktop Manager Freezing

Hi: I recently bought a Curve 8310. It has Desktop Manager version 4.2.2.14; my laptop has Vista Home Premium and I use Outlook 2007.
Just a day or two ago Desktop Manager started crashing while syncing Outlook Calendar. It stops at Calendar entry 76 and then freezes. From checking the Technical Solution Center I understand the problem may be a corrupt Calendar entry. Dealing with this apparently involves going into Configure Synchronization but Desktop Manager won't let me do this. If I start it when the phone is connected to my laptop it doesn't register the connection and often freezes. If I start it, then connect the phone, and stop the synchronization process before it crashes Manager, clicking on any of the Desktop Manager ikons, including Synchronize, doesn't have any effect. I've tried reinstalling Desktop Manager from the CD supplied by my phone provider but it's made no difference.
I'd be grateful for any advice; Before this problem developed I was really enjoying my BlackBurry.

    Hi,
First we need to do a clean reinstall of the software to makes sure all registry and files have been completely removed:
     Link 1.
Then we need too reinstall the 4.2 software, taking into account the Vista considerations for install:
    Link 2
After install reboot the PC, start DM, Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute,
Let the device reboot 1-3 min,  Plug the BB into the USB cable, Go to synchronization options and rest the options to only
Synch the calendar, sync for two way, select no other programs. Start the sync process.
Please let us know the results,

It appears you have 2 files with the exact same name. MCC/Term break.  What you need to do is locate one of them and either delete it or change it's name or make like MCC  lower case letters and it should sync.  Hope this helps...

  • Sync Outlook Calendar message "Apple Outlook DAV Config has stopped working"

    Hi There,
I've installed the Windows iCloud Control Panel tool, and I'm trying to sync some of my Outlook data to iCloud. Contacts works fine, and tasks appeared to work fine the first time, but syncing my calendar consistently fails with this message:
"Apple Outlook DAV config has stopped working"
My calendar is rather large, but it was larger still (over 5000 entries), so I archived some older items, but it still fails now at about 1800 items out of 2000.
Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?
    Cheers,
    Trevor

    Hi Levanterman,
Yes I tried that, and there were errors. I fixed my pst file. But then my I got a new error. Which resulted in the process actually generating an email would you believe it to Apple support staff, I presume saying:
Help Apple improve its products by sending us diagnostic and usage information about iCloud.
By sending this message, you agree that Apple will collect and use this information as part of its support services and to improve its products and services. This information is collected anonymously. To learn more about Apple's Privacy Policy, see http://www.apple.com/legal/privacy.
Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error.
    Error: 0x80040604: No reason set
So you can imagine my frustration with all of this, but I agee, I think with dylanfromhuxley above, it is probably some errant specific calendar item. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to go to the trouble of "demolishing" my calendar to re-build it again, just to get the iCloud sync going ... I'l probably revert to doing good old wired syncing here, until I here confirmed reprots that that this clearly 1.0 version of the Outlook integration has matured somewhat.
    Cheers,
    Trevor.

  • Sync Outlook Calendar

This is for my Dad - he has an iPad2 with the latest iOS version and the latest iTunes on his machine.  He is trying to sync his calendar to the iPad - it was working, but something got messed up and now he's getting an error message when he tries to recreate the connection that you need Outlook 2007 or 2010 installed.  He has Outlook 2003 - is this no longer supported?
    Thanks,

I configure the Contacts and Calendar settings for my Outlook account in Link (actually leave them at default)
If I choose to synchronize contacts only, e. g. if I check the checkbox at Contact and clear that one at Calendar, all goes well
If I choose to sync Calendar or both, I get the following error:

I looked into that file and found nothing like DevicePin in it at all...

Mako, what I've learned is that Link doesn't like changes to the sync config after the fact.  To get things to work properly I did a Reset Settings, then configured both Contacts and Calendar.  Then Sync Contacts/Calendar worked.  Don't make any changes to the check boxes or Configure links after doing a sync.
