The procedure apex_cdc.enable_table_capture i created myself with no authid mentioned explicitly, so it uses definer rights, by default.
BUt this procedure is simply a wrapper for sys.dbms_cdc_publish.create_change_table.

  • Error when calling an EJB from a web sevice

    Hi all,
    I am getting the following error while trying to the lookup for my session bean
    com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at java:comp, the whole lookup name is java:comp/env/ejb/MyProcessorBean
    here's a part of my code:
    String WebserviceFunction()
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    BiasProcessorLocalHome orderHome =(BiasProcessorLocalHome)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/MyProcessorBean");
    I am using NWDS Version: 7.0.09
    SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
    I did find some threads related to it but none has been answered or weren't
    that helpful in solving my problem.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    What is the implementation of your Web service? If it's another EJB then you have to define an ejb-local-ref in the deployment descriptor for that other EJB, like this:
    <ejb-local-ref>
        <ejb-ref-name>ejb/MyProcessorBean</ejb-ref-name>
        <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
        <local-home>your.package.BiasProcessorLocalHome</local-home>
        <local>your.package.BiasProcessorLocal</local>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    If it's not a J2EE component, there is no java:comp environment naming context (ENC) available. In this case you can look up the EJB local home from the "localejbs/" context, e.g. "localejbs/provider.name/YourAppName/YourEjbName". By default the provider name is "sap.com".

  • Error when calling a procedure from my apex application

    Hello.
    I want to create a small APEX application that can configure asynchronous change data capture (distributed hotlog) on certain tables.
    Basically, what the application should do is to simply create change tables. Everything else is set up as prerequisite.
    My problem is that when I run the following script from schema apex_cdd (using sqldeveloper) , it works; but if I run it from my apex application by calling it when pressing a button as a pl/sql process, it doen't work.
    BEGIN
    apex_cdc.enable_table_capture
         (     i_owner => 'staging_cdcpub',
              i_change_table_name     => 'g_changeTable',
              i_change_set_name     => 'Source_changeSet',
              i_change_source          => 'orcl01_cs',
              i_source_schema          => 'My_src',
              i_source_table          => 'G',
              i_column_type_list     => 'STARTDATE DATE,STATUS CHAR(1),NAME VARCHAR2(10),ENDDATE DATE,DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(255),ID NUMBER(8,0),VALUE NUMBER(10,2)'
    END;
    If I look in the trace file, i see that the error is:
    CDCdebug:in ChangeTable.java enableDisabledTriggers: ORA-06550: line 1, column 8:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'SYS.DBMS_CDC_SYS_IPUBLISH' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 8:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleSQLException: ORA-06550: line 1, column 8:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'SYS.DBMS_CDC_SYS_IPUBLISH' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 8:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    Other remarks:
    - My procedure calls: sys.DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH.CREATE_CHANGE_TABLE.
    - I gave the same rights that I gave for apex_cdc schema to flows_030200 and APEX_PUBLIC_USER schemas (just to see if it works), but it doens't.
    Is APEX calling the procedure from another schema ?
    Does anyone has an idea why this procedure crashes if called from APEX application, but works ok if called from the same schema APEX application runs on, but using SQLDeveloper ?
    Any thoughts are appreciated.
    Radian

    Hi,
    I didn't configure the JNDI stuff in WLS per se. I created a simple session bean and the meta data in the jar of this determined the JNDI setup.
    Once this is deployed on either WLS it can then be seen in Weblogic Console by clicking on View JNDI Tree. The full JNDI name is present and correct on both WLS to which it is deployed.
    Does that answer your questions or are you asking how I configured the SOA Suite composite? In which case I selected the EJB in the Partner Link swimlane. Viewed the properties and added
    java.naming.provider.url
    t3://myremotehost:7001

    Hi all,
    I have a Personalized Button, my button call a customized form (with a parameter named TAINV_PARAM). Function of customized Form is TAINV_FORM

  • Error in calling an EJB from another EJB

    Hello All,
    I have a scenario where i need to call a method of an ejb from another ejb.
    Both the EJB's are in different DC's.
    EG: DC1 using DC2
    I have added the public part of DC2 in DC1.
    The following code is written in DC1 to access the EJB of DC2
          MyRemote l_remote;
           MyHome l_home;
           InitialContext l_ctx = new InitialContext();
    >>       l_home = (MyHome)l_ctx.lookup("JNDI Name");
           l_remote = (MyRemote)l_home.create();
    There is no error at build time and deploy time, but at run time "MyHome" class is not found.
    Even i am not able to access the helper class defined in the DC2 at runtime.
    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance

    First off, wrong forum section.
    Check if your JNDI name is correctly placed for the bean you're calling -- check j2ee-engine.xml for that. Check the EJB container if the ear file you deployed is there and updated.
    Try placing  "localejbs/JNDI name" on your lookup parameter.

  • Network-related or Instance-specfic error when attempting remote connection from SSMS

    Hello,
    I have installed SQL Server express on a Win7 desktop and want to connect to it via SSMS on a laptop. I have set up a SQL login on the desktop so I can login, but when I try to connect to the instance from the laptop via SSMS I get the error 26 with saying
    there is a network related or instance specific issue and that there is an error locating the Server/Instance specified.
    I am trying to connect to a named instance on the SQL Server on the win desktop. Remote connections are enabled and TCP 1433 and UPD 1434 ports are open in Windows Firewall. Antything else I should watch for?
    Thanks

    Hi MrDAndersen,
    According to your description, you come across the errors of pre-login handshake and wait operation timing out. Please help to post the full error log for further analysis.
    Based on my research, this issue could occur when .NET Framework 4.5 and non-IFS BSP/LSP are installed on the machine, and non-IFS BSP/LSP interferes with the call to Winsock.
    To work around the issue, you could use one of the two methods below.
    1. Determine whether a non-IFS BSP or LSP is installed. You could use the "netsh WinSock Show Catalog" command and examine every Winsock Catalog Provider Entry item that is returned. If the 0x20000 bit is clear (not set), it is a non-IFS BSP or
    LSP and remove the installed non-IFS Winsock LSPs. For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2568167
    2. Download and apply .NET Framework 4.5.2:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42643

  • Calling remote EJB from Weblogic 8.1 to websphere 5.1

    <b>java.net.UnknownHostException: remoteDNS:remoteDNS</b>
    but, it appears not at the beginning the connection, it appears when the EJB I've called, returns me the method I invoked and my weblogic didn't recognize the remote server because it have to return a DNS or IP: port and it doesn't occour, I'm not behind a FW.
    Then I made modifications to the sever I register some websphere jars in the classpath but when I made this another problem become, the log shows me a message that says that the initialcontext class could not be loaded, and when I modified the classpath to recognize this the other parts of my site breakdown because their initialcontext were different.
    Basically, I want some help in How to make the connection to websphere via IIOP or another protocol and what are the requeriments that I need to modify in my Weblogic, and in my class of connection.
    I almost tried to make a network channel to comunicate to the websphere but it didn't work.
    Can anybody give me suggestions on what to try??

    I believe there is a document that describes this.
    Java EE 4 interop requires that you do not need to put WebSphere
    ORB/ICF classes in your WLS classpath and vice versa. You should
    simply be able to make EJB refs to the remote side using an
    appropriate corbaloc URL.
    Can you post your EJB config and code?

  • Error when calling a report from Server?

    We have a .NET application on the server and we want to call a crystal report (.rpt) from one of the forms (.NET aspx page).  We are getting below error.  The report works fine on the desktop where it is developed.  Please let us know if there is any specific process to move the reports to server.  Any help is appreciated.
    The report is developed in Crystal Reports 2008 and we are using Visual Studio 2005.  We are using Crystal Report Viewer control to call / associate the report developed.
    Error message,
    An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

    Hi,
    It seems that you are having issue with Crystal reports .Net SDK's.
    Post your question in Crystal Reports .NET SDK forum.
    That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all .NET SDK queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
    Thank you for your understanding,

    XPath 2.0 specifications define a fn:format-date function but Oracle has not included yet in its XQuery implementation.
    Easiest way to go is A_Non's solution, but if you need to format at multiple places in the query, you can declare a local XQuery function.
    For example, to format to "DD/MM/YYYY" from the canonical xs:date format "YYYY-MM-DD" :
    {code}
    declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
    let $s := xs:string($d)
    return concat(
    substring($s, 10, 2), "/",
    substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
    substring($s, 2, 4)
    {code}
    and an example of use :
    {code}
    SQL> CREATE TABLE test_xqdate AS SELECT sysdate dt FROM dual;
    Table created
    SQL> SELECT *
    2 FROM XMLTable(
    3 'declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
    4 {
    5 let $s := xs:string($d)
    6 return concat(

    8 substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
    9 substring($s, 2, 4)
