Error when generating update program

Hi,
I was loading transactional data in to Cube. The load had failed and in RSMO status tab is showing that Error when generating update program. could you please suggest me some one how to resolve it.

Hi,
Actually when you are loading data, the update program is executed. It is generated while you create the update rules for your data target. Please check whether the update rules are active or just go to the update rules and activate it again. Try loading data after activation and let us know the results.

Recently there was an SP upgrade and my Planning Book started giving me this error message (SCM version =5.0 and SP = 7)
"Error when generating the program" Message no. /SAPAPO/TSM141
Diagnosis: Generated programs are programs that are generated based on individual data objects, such as planning object structure, planning areas and Infocubes. These programs are then executed in the transaction. An error occured during the generation of such a program
Possible causes:
1. The template has been corrupted
2. The object that the template uses to generate the program contains inconsistencies; for instance an Infocube has not been activated
This error occurs when I try to open the my planning book/creating the selection profile. I've re-activated the Infocube and later deactivate and active my POS and tried to do the same for the Planning Area....but the error still persists. I tried to create a new planning area and tried it again but the error still persists. I've tried to fix any inconsistencies in the planning area time series objects by running the consistency check....however the same error pops up during the consistency check....
Anyone encountered this error message and any possible solutions to this issue.

I did find an ABAP Dump when looking at ST22. The short message is as follows:

     The current ABAP program "GP_MET_PSTRU_BASIC_FORMS" had to be terminate
      because it has
     come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
     Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
     To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
     administrator.
     Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
     at and manage termination messages, and you can also
     keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
     During the generation of program "GP_MET_PSTRU_BASIC_FORMS", the system
      determined that
     within an ABAP event a control structure (for example, IF..ENDIF
     or LOOP..ENDLOOP) or a routine (for example, FORM routine) has
     become too large. The resulting jump distance is too large so that
    it could no longer be generated.
    With the internal load format, the jump distance must not be
    greater than 32768 (this is the size of approximately 10.000
    ABAP statements).
    The jump distance that is to be generated, however, is 50885.
How to correct the error
   The ABAP application program must be changed.

Syntax Error when generate print program in HRFORMS

Dear All,
I created form for payslip using HRFORMS, the name form is ZPS_TPI_01. When I activate the form, the error raised: Generated print program contains a syntax error
Diagnosis
Generated print program /PYXXFO/ZPS_TPI_01_PRNT conains a syntax error in line 9 of include /PYXXFO?ZPS_TPI_01_PAYR.
I have already apply note 878168 but it is not work.
Please advise me.

can you let me know for which country are you trying to generate the HR form for payslip?
There are certain countries for which payslip isnt supported.
For such countries you get a similar error.

Yes,there is just a single line of code in the start routine
DELETE DATA_PACKAGE WHERE CUSTOMER is initial.
and update rules for Business partner and customer market which are object mapped 1:1. No routines or formulaes.
Could this be a technical issue on the flexible update or a data quality ?

Try activating both the cubes using RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE. Activate them even thou they seem active.

We faced the below problem in while executing the infopackages for BW statistics in BI7.0
7099 records from 7099 records..but shows request is red.

Caller 01 : If there is any inconsistecy while loading the data or if the program cannot able to execute a specific task it will give the caller errors.
check in the transaction ST22
check for the OSS notes 631668, 860475

Do a check on the update rules and see if it returns no errors...
if that is the case, then check the short dump and try to get the program name for the update rules..In se38 putting the program name, you can go inside it and do a check there as well if there are any errors....
If in the end yo still dont find anything, try to delete and re-create the update rules..
But i think you will get quite useful info from the dumps if there are any..

I had to include a new key figure in the cube and the planning area with configuration semantic = 000.
The problem is, in my DEV system, the modification was perfect. Then when I did in the QA system, I´ve got the error "Error when generating program /SAPAPO/TSM141" and u201CErrors in source systemu201D when trying to load data in the Infopackage.
Do you have any idea of what this could be?

The problem may come from the inconsistency between the datasource settings and the content in table /SAPAPO/TSAREATE.
- SE16, go to table /SAPAPO/TSAREATE, input the planning area name, check the extraction structure, which is started from '/1APO/EXT_STRU'.
- SE16, go to table /SAPAPO/TSAREAEX, input the datasource name, and check the extraction structure.
Are the two extraction structures the same or different ?
If they're different, please read the below solutions, otherwise, you can ignore the following.
In general and most customer cases this inconsistency happens during transporting of datasource alone. In many cases the planning area is directly created at target system and datasoucre transported from a a different system which causes incorrect export structure entry in planning area table.
Please refer to following content from note 549184:
Q4: Why could I have extraction problem after transport of DataSource?
A4: DataSources for DP/SNP planning areas depend directly on the structure of the planning areas. That's why the planning area MUST ALWAYS be transported with or before the DataSource.
The simple solution will be to create a dummy data source for this planning area. This will regenerate the extract structure for all other data sources as well and update the corresponding tables. After that you can delete the dummy datasource.
After delete the dummy datasource, in case of inconsistency, please also run the report /SAPAPO/TS_PSTRU_GEN report for
- Basis - form routines
- Create planning objects
- Planning area extractor
with the flags "Reset generation time stamp" and "Generate" set.
And in order to transfer datasource correctly, please also refer to the consulting note 514524.

Error when generating program /SAPAPO/TSM141

Hello APO Experts!!
I have one infocube for sales history, which has one key figure that contains the sales history values.
First, I was using this key figure in one planning area. This Key Figure Semantics for Read and Write Operations was 002 = Semantics for InfoCube key figures.
Now, I had to include the same key figure in another planning area and with the same configuration Semantics = 002.
The problem is, in my DEV system, the modification was perfect. Then when I did in the QA system, I´ve got the error "Error when generating program /SAPAPO/TSM141" when trying to access the data in the planning books that are created in the first planning area.
For the second planning area, nothing happens, everything is working correctly.
Do you have any idea of what this could be?

Sounds like a Planning Area extraction problem. First of all check that all your required BW InfoObjects are created for the Planning Areas, then check that the Semantics you mentioned are the same for all Aggregates in the Planning Area.
Also try running program /SAPAPO/TS_PSTRU_GEN to regenerate the planning area extractor.
Delete and recreate the data source.

Error when generating program when creating CVC using infoprovider

We are receiving the message "Error when generating program" when
creating CVC using infoprovider.
This may have something to do with the fact that we added an attribute
to the infoObject 9ALOCNO. We are getting an information message if we
run a consistency check in the POS.
We had this same issue in our development system. Here, I deactivated
and then reactivated the CVCs and this resolved the problem. However,
this is not a good solution since this is also a problem in our
production system and we do not want to deactivate the POS.
is there another option to fix this problem?

Hi Rumi,
i would try these:
1. Make sure the cube is active and every thing ok there
2. Run programs /SAPAPO/TS_PSTRU_CONS_CHECK on POS and /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK on planning area respectively.
3. Check the CVC creation log in transaction /n/sapapo/mc62 for more details.

Error when transpotring Update Rules

Dear colleagues.
When transporting an update Rules into our Quality enviroment the system pops up the following error:
IC=ZWEPP_C02 IS=ZWE_BOM_RMX_IS syntax error: rows 0.
I've verified the Update Rules on the Quality System and everything is correct but it remains inactive due to the transport fails.

Error when activating update rule

The original transfer rule for 2LIS_11_VAITM was deleted accidently and I created new one and mapped with the existing infosource. The system always generates the following error at the time of transport to another client.

Hi,
When you say that update rule was accidently deleted, was that attached to transport request and transported to your QA & PRD at that time.
Because it may happen that, your old rules are still there in QA & PRD and the new rules are failing to overwrite that.
If it is the case, then you may have to open the client for QA & PRD and delete the existing update rule (doesnt sound good practice though), and then create a fresh update rule and transport.

Error when generating catalog SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG

We are trying to transfer product and contract catalogs from SRM server to Catalog authoring tool. The RFC connections were created and scenarios in XI have been imported as per the cookbook. The XI part seems to be working fine and a correct response was received by XI (as per SXMB_MONI), but we find the following error in the SRM application log (tcode: SLG1)
The following exception was raised:
/CCM/CX_OBJECT_CREATION_FAILED
Error when generating catalog SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG
The exception occurred at the following point:
Program /CCM/CL_CATALOG_MANAGER=======CP
$EXC_CLASS /CCM/CX_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND
The earlier threads seemed to mention applying service packs so we did a check and found everything fairly up to date, as follows:
SRM Server 5.5 (Service Pack 4)
ABAP Rel 7 (Service Pack 7)
CCM Server 2 (Service Pack 4)
As I'm basically an XI person, I'm not sure how to debug this error. Can anyone please help me out on his?

Mass processing - Error when processing Java programs / VMC out of memory

When running a mass update background process that updates the status of a service order in CRM the job fails due to error 'Error when processing Java programs'. I checked the VMC (SM52) and noticed that there is an error about the VMC running out of memory.
The background program can either be a PPF Action or a Z-ABAP program that performs the update. Both programs are performing a CRM_ORDER_INITIALIZE but it seems that the VMC is not releasing the memory fast enough.
Is there anyway we can force the VMC to release the memory after processing of each individual order?

I got similar issue and it got resolved by useing CRM_ORDER_INITILAIZE. Initalization should happen after every Order processing and see that only one header guid is passed to the the FM. May not be good option ,but just try by putting wait for 5secs after CRM_ORDER_INITILAIZE.

Hi Carmen,
I'm working with SAP BW 700 and I had also this error during a characteristic activation in my QA system. This happened when I tried to transport the activated characteristic from my DEV system.
I found also message TK425 when I was trying activation through RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE program.
I solved this error message with OSS note 01458319 700SP24: "Transport fails during the impact analysis of DTP".-
