Error when I try and change settings in iTunes

When I try and add audiobooks, iPod games, party shuffle or change iTunes to my default player (thru edit > preferences in iTunes) I receive this error:
An error occurred while updating the default player for audio file types. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation
Now whatever I pick will show in iTunes after the error message. But will be gone when I close iTunes and reopen.
I am the only one who uses this PC I am not sure how I do not have 'enough access privileges' to change ANY thing in iTunes... Any help to make sense of this would be wonderful thank you in advance.

okay lets say I want to add audiobooks to the library in iTunes. I go into edit > preferences, check audiobooks I get the error about 'not having enough permission to change anything.' All the changes I do make will say. I prefer tunes imported to my 60 gig iPod to be in wav not aac I have to change that. Get the error and move on. It is when I shut down iTunes and re-open is the problem. I have to go in and change everything all back the way I want, every time. So yeah iTunes still works but it is not a major thing I am trying to do, just change my preferences. I don't even want to use iTunes any more.

Hi,
When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it won't support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor reverts back to the original resolution.
Regarding screen resolution, we may follow the below two articles to change it:

Getting the best display on your monitor
Follow the steps below:
1. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution.
2.Click the drop-down list next to Resolution. Check for the resolution marked (recommended). This is your LCD monitor's native resolution—usually the highest resolution your monitor can support.
And if the monitor is LCD monitor, The monitor's manufacturer or reseller should also be able to tell you the native resolution for your LCD monitor. Or we may check the monitor's manual to adjust.

When I try and change my Apple ID email address to my Me account email, it won't let me. I want to change it so it goes through my Me email. How do I do this?

So basically as the question above says...
I have had an Apple ID for a few years now under a Hotmail email. Recently I got a Me account and I want to change my primary email address on my Apple ID to this new Me email address as I no longer use the Hotmail email.
However, when I try and change it, it simply states "This domain name is reserved for MobileMe accounts."
Could really use the help, and I thank people in advance for any advice!

Photoshop CS6 keeps crashing when I try and change brush colour

Hi, my Photoshop CS6 keeps crashing when I try and change brush colour. I use layer masks a lot and consequently need to switch between black and white brushes. CS6 crashes a lot and gets closed by Windows 7 when I either click in the icon to swap brush colour or press the X keyboard shortcut. It's driving me crazy. I run Windows 7 on a high spec Dell PC. The problem has only started a couple of months ago, had CS6 since it came out. Can I advise me please? Thanks.

HT1414 Ive got a iPod 3G running 4.2.1 and want to upgrade the OS, iTunes keeps saying its the latest version. Ive downloaded a 4.3.5.ipsw but when I try and restore from this iTunes says the firmware isn't compatible...any idea's what to do next?

The iPod 3g will only support iOS up to 4.2.1 and nothing beyond that.

Help! I can not get Illustrator to work - I reinstalled my wacom driver and have troubleshooted with Wacom. This seems to be an issue with Illustrator.
When I open a doc or create a new doc the minute I try and change the font it crashes.

Read the signs for what they are: Your fonts are busted and you have a "bad" font somewhere in there. Remove al lextra fonts and add them back only as needed.

Okay ... it's sounding a bit like you've got something stuck in your "pending update" machinery (the stuff that gets invoked when an update requires a restart). That can interfere with iTunes installs, although it's more common to see a lot of 8000FFFF errors in the Update History when that's going on.
Rather than experimenting with 8000FFFF instructions, I think instead we should try getting you on the radar screens of some Windows Updates specialists.
Try posting over at the Windows Update forums at Microsoft Answers:

In your post there, describe the error message you're getting when installing updates, and the other symptoms (otherwise updates are apparently okay, and so on).
If the Microsoft Answers folks get you past the Service Pack message, can you then install the new iTunes version?
