Error When Trying to Repair HD - Want to Save Files - Help

Inexplicably, when I went to Restart, the screen got stuck at the grey apple with the spinning gear. Called Apple and they helped me reset PMU on bottom of console, then run Disk Utility to try to repair the HD. The error message that came up was "The underlying task reported failure on exit." It also said, "The volume HD could not be repaired." I would like to save the many files I have on this computer (photos, genealogy, mail, etc.). How do I do that? The application "DiskWarrior" was recommended. Will it help in this case to recover my files? I have an external HD which can be attached. Can this help?

external drive must be a FireWire, then just connect it.
restart iMac, hold down mouse button, CD tray will open up, put in OS install CD that came with the iMac (or retail OS CD)
it will start off the CD eventually if the hard drive is not working.
after that just follow the steps for installation, select external drive as a target (it'll have a yellow icon with FireWire logo)
installing to the external drive may affect files already on the drive though, so if there are any important files on the external drive try at your own risk.

Adobe 7.07 error when trying a repair option

I am getting this error when trying to run a repair on Adobe 7.07
error 1327 Invalid Drive: g:\
I have searched the registry to find where this may be located but have not had any luck. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to resolve it?

Error 1327 Invalid drive /G: FREE FIX
I have received this error when installing several different programs.
The simple fix it to put a jump drive into your USB ports. Then open My Computer to see if drive /G: or what ever drive appears.
Your computer and the setup program know that you have used some type of memory storage in those USB ports. The setup program just needs to validate that the memory is still there. It does not need to use it, it just needs to see that it is there.
Worked for me. In sure there is a technical way to change or fix it so that your USB ports are not involved, but it probably will take too much time.

Unknown Error when trying to export movie with certain PNG files in Adobe Premiere

Hi!
I've made an animation video in Premiere Pro CC2014 combining apple pro-res live action with png animation. When trying to export, some parts of the video are no problem, and some (seemingly random) png files Adobe Premiere just doesn't like?? I don't understand why it will export some and not others?

Error compiling movie can be anything from gap to bad clip, transition, effect, nest, you name it.
Export from AME with preview open and watch were in the timeline it goes wrong.
That is the place to fix it.

Error When Trying to use Steam... Please Help!!

Strange error when trying to sync video and cannot get past HELP!

My Ipod (and I have another one as well, a photo that works just fine with everything) will simply not sync all the way. It works until it encounters an error, and then quits. This ipod, a 60 gig video does this as well as another ipod I have, a 30 gig video. Yes I have 3 ipods, its crazy.
It happends EVERY time it gets to 30 days, Immigaration. I have tried not syncing it but it still happens again later, some of the videos will download though.

Error -36, disk cannot be read from or written to error syncing iPod in iTunes.
iTunes displays error 69 when syncing iPod.

Error when trying to set FF8 as default browser (uninstall/helper.exe unable to connect)

I've recently installed Firefox 8 alongside Firefox 3.x using a different profile. However, when I try to open a link from Outlook, it totally resets my profile. I didn't have this problem with Firefox 5 alongside 3. I have FF3 installed in the main Firefox program files folder, and Firefox 8 in a sub-folder within that one (FF5 also has an installation folder in there).
In the options when I check the box to set Firefox 8 as the default, I get the following error:

I should mention, this only happens when launching Firefox. If the browser is already open, it'll open the link in the current window just fine.

Thanks, I've done that, however the problem is when I try to open a link from an external program (like Outlook, DestroyTwitter, etc) that launches Firefox when it wasn't already running. For some reason it's getting hung up since I have more than one version installed and thus launches Firefox (sometimes 3, sometimes 8) and each time it appears to completely reset the profile, ignoring the one I had set.
My "FF8" profile is current set as default in the profiles.ini.
I don't understand why it keeps trying to load the uninstall\helper.exe when I try to set 8 as the default in the options menu.

Prohibited sign on start up and error when trying to re-install os x maverick. Help?

So I get the prohibited sign on start up, and i tried using the command-option-p-r and os x utilities popped up. I checked if any of my disks needed repairing and all of them were fine. But whenever I try to re-install os x mavericks an error would come up saying that I need to restart the application.

This is what I would try:
Since a 2008 MBP came with Leopard (10.5) and to install Lion (10.7) or later requires a Snow Leopard disk (10.6), I would use one of those disks. Again check the status of the HDD with Disk Utility>First Aid using the disk and install an OSX. You will then have to download the Snow Leopard combo update (10.6.8).

You will have to erase the disk so have your data backed up, Once you have established that you have a working OSX installed, then I would download Mavericks.
If you cannot install an OSX with the disks then there is a hardware problem and a trip to an Apple store genius bar will be the best option. The evaluation will be FREE.

In case you try to generate an amended RL1 XML file and you get the error "Element content is invalid according to the DTD/Schema", it means the system incorrectly missed the tag corresponding to Box O. Error when trying to preview screen in screen file

A few of us are receiving an error when trying to 'preview' a screen via screen file in rulebase. A large error window pops up with about 30 lines of text in it. The window is 'Preview in Web Determinations'. It starts with:
class com.oracle.determinations.interview. engine.exceptions.CorruptSessionException: A unauthorised change to the Rule Session has been detected.
further down in error there are multiple lines starting org.apache.catalina ......
Has anyone seen this error, it's intermittent, not all screens, but once it's appeared for a particular screen, it won't stop (for that particular screen), even after re-boots etc.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have faced this type of scenario and it will happen if we are in interview screen for long time with (inactive mode) and when we try to "Preview". You can try being at interview screen (some time inactive) and you can reproduce this type of Error.

I am getting an error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking on the Web Mgmt interface. I verified that the admin account trying to access is in the Organization Management group and has the correct Role Assignment Policy applied.
I searched through this thread below and saw that matching the msExchRoleLink and msExchUserLink attributes fixed the issue.

However I have another environment where this is not the case and works just fine; the msExchUserLink attribute has a value of CN=Organization Management,OU=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups,DC=Domain,DC=Local which is different as per the issue outlined in

I then had a look at the IIS permissions for ecp and owa. The account did not have permissions so I added them there but still got the same error. I’ve also tried all of the above with a newly-created account but still got the same issue.
Any ideas as to what the above event log is specifically referring to?

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
If you want to search message tracking logs, the account you use should be a member of the role groups below:
Organization Management role group, Records Management role group, Recipient Management role group.

CUOM error when trying to poll performance data from IPCC Express

Hi Network Professionals,
Using CUOM 2.1 SP1 I get an error when trying to access the Performance menu for a IPCC Express Server in the Service Level View.
Error Message:
Performance polling is not supported for the current capability.
The server is fully monitored and I get enviroment, system, interface and application information.
I the Polling Parameters menu (Voice Utilization Settings) the only parameter listed is "Communication Manager and Registred MGCP Gateway Utilization".
The IPCC Express version is 5.0.(2)SR01_Build045.
Is anything missing on the IPCC server? I have only configured it with SNMP.

well I bother you because I have a problem similar to that raised earlier, I have a vm INTAL CUOM 2.1 SP1 and the problem is that computers add-in-law his administration IPCC view the service level ... but when I fall into a custom group created the group and add the teams the same ip ipcc already visible, in my group I want to generate displays custom cloud but do not show me the equipment, except that I want to add IVR servers and I do not under any circumstances the samples .. lso probe and reset everything and anything related services, install the SP! and nothing. Can you help me with this or if I recommend CUOM up version of the 2.3 that I could not even see the difference with 2.1 CUOM thanks greetings
