Error while creation of web service model in web dynpro
Hi,
I am getting following error "no services available or local server not accessible" while creation of web service model.
I have already created my web service nad deployed it. It was deployed successfully.
In the web service model creation wizard I am not able to see neither my web service nor any other standard service.

Are you using the deprecated Web Services model or the new adaptive web services model?

please tell me1.Create New Model.
2.Select the type of model as Adaptive web service model and click next.
3.Give Model name and Model Package .Select Available WSDL sources.
a.If u get wsdl from local system,select Remote Location/File system.
b.If u get wsdl from Sap location ,u have to configure with esr reposirtry.
4.Select Remote Location/File System and click next.Get WSDL URL from services repositry and click next.
5.Click finish. -
Generate web service model in web dynpro
Hi,
I have a web service which I generated a model in web dynpro and working fine.
But the problem is that when I update my web service(change in method prototype, number of parameters, data type changes) I need to regenerate the model again and need to map to context elements.
So, is there any way so that I can update my model instead of regenerating entire model to reflect to new changes in web service.

Ejbmodule error while building the external service app using web service
Hi,
I am new to SOA. I have developed an external service application using web service. While buiding the project i am getting the ejb module error which is mentioned below and the remaining five internal projects are getting deployed successfully. Can anyone help me out in resolving this issue.

Web Dynpro Import Web Service Model - not a valid NCName
Hi people,
We are having a problem while importing a WSDL as an Adaptive Web Service Model in Web Dynpro (CE 7.2 SP03).
The error is the following:
"Definition of qualified base /schema/element[5]/complexType/sequence/element[4] is not correct. The value of property is not a valid NCName."
We tried importing the same WSDL in other tools (XML Spy and SOAP UI). With these tools it could be read without errors and were able to successfully call the service.
The point is, why the import fails in Web Dynpro if the WSDL can be read in other tools ? Can we do something in WD to import the WSDL that is supposed to be "not correct" ?

I was facing this issue sometime back and i figured out that the ABAP proxy namespace in my case had a '/' in it, because of which the internal name of the service had a '/' character too.
And this was unacceptable for the endpoint binding name in my case.
Since it is occuring for you in case of the service name (i figured it out from attribute definations/services@name), check if the proxy name have a special character like '/'.

Error while creating adaptive web service model
Hi All,
There is a requirement where the webdynpro application is deployed in backend system while the web service is created in the front end system. We need to connect to this web service and execute it in our webdynpro application to get response. For this we have created Logical Destination in backend system that points to the web service in the front end system.
The web service, when tested directly through Web Services Navigator, works fine.
Here, while creating an Adaptive Web Service Model in the webdynpro application, after giving name, package, destination name etc when I enter wsdl url and click on Next I am getting an error as u201CError in downloading the WSDL fileu201D.
The error log says u201Ccom.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.exception.WSModelRuntimeException:Exception on creation of service metadata for WSDL URLu201D.
Even if I try to create model with url only by selecting u201CNo Logical Destinationsu201D, error remains the same.
What may be the reason for this and possible solution?
Appreciate an early response.

Web Service model creation : no error, but no model created

I would like to create a Web Service service model : Models-> Create Model -> Import Web Service model -> Local File System or URL
I am using a local WSDL file. My NWDS version is 7.0.6.
Everything seems to be OK, I don't get any error, but unfortunaltely no model is created, although I see that some files are generated in the 'proxies' folders.

Errors in Adaptive Web Service model
Hi,
We are trying to consume a Webservice created in XI 3 sp18 using Webdynpro adaptive webservice model in Netweaver Developer Studio SP15. The portal version is EP7 SP15
When we give a Model name and specified the destination as EPDes while creating the Adaptive Service model, and configure the destination EPDes in Visual Admin and execute the webdynpro application, we are facing errors.
The application is failing at this first statement itself "PFModel obj = new PFModel();"
The webservice works fine when it is tested through SOAPUI tool.
Please help us in resolve this problem.

Aditya MetukulAditya, I guess you have created a scenario in XI and made a webservice in XI and trying to call it using Webdynpro model. When we started using XI we did the same and got similar errors and exceptions and we didn't get any positive answer to solve this issue, so we have used following workaround, instead of calling XI webservice, we call the scenario directly using HttpConnection class. Following code sample might help:

You can pass user id password in URL String but it will make it insecure, encoding and setting Authorization property will help you secure your user id and password. encode is not an standard function but uses standard functions to encrypt, here is the implementation:

Problem while importing a web service model.
Hi
I am building a simple send email application using a web service.
While creating a new model i am using following options.
step 1 - Select "Import Adaptive web service model"
step 2 - Select Wsdl Source
2.1 - Local file system or URL
Step 3 - No logical destination
step 4 - choose wsdl file from file system.
Process successfully done and model created.
BUT
when i am trying to run this application it is throwing file not found exception. i.e. not able to locate wsdl file.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\AbysalEmail.wsdl (The system cannot find the file specified)
I am using remote network connection to access NWDS. and in remote drive C: itself i have saned my file.
Then Why it is not able to locate my file.
Please Help me out.

I have created a new Dynamic web service proxie.
And in it under connection settings -> URL i have specified
http://<host>:<port>/
Above is host name and potr from where my WebDynpro application runs.
But my file is located in C:\
I think i am unable to set mapping configuration
from
http://<host>:<port>/
to
C:\
Where shall i ten keep my WSDL file.!!!

Error when using byte array in web service model interface
Hello everybody,
I'm using a web service model in my web dynpro application. The web service requires a byte array as import parameter.
When starting the web dynpro application the following error occurs:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDTypeNotFoundException: type java:byte not found
at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.datatypes.core.DataTypeBroker.getDataType(DataTypeBroker.java:216)
I'm using byte arrays several times in my application --> no problem. So why does the error say "byte not found" when using the web service?

maybe this is the problem. The type is byte and not binary.
But I have the same problem as mentioned in the other thread: I can't change the type.
The type in the WSDL of my web service is "base64binary". Is there maybe a possibility to import a jar-file for this type?

Error when importing Web Service Model
Hi,
I am having trouble importing a Web Service model into my Web Dynpro component.
I have successfully published my SessionBean method as a Web Service which works correctly when used from the Web AS Web Service Navigator.
However, my Web Dynpro cannot correctly create a model from the WSDL. The problem seems to be with the last parameter of the method, a two-dimensional array of Strings. When importing the web service model, the following line of code get created in the respective Model class:
logicalPort.generateMetadata(this.getKeywordsAsArray(), this.srcLang, this.getTgtLangAsArray(), ERROR no prop = parameters
Obviously there is a problem with the code generation for the last parameter (the two-dimensional array) which results in this "ERROR no prop = parameters" message.
Does anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong? Is there a problem with multidimensional arrays in Web Dynpro model classes? I originally wanted to use a HashMap but naturally had to use a simple data type - any other ideas for a workaround?

Web Dynpro - Web service Model- nither output nor the errors
Hi friends,
I am trying a WD application with Web Service model. It is a simple WS, created for GET_FLIGHT_LIST BAPI. When I tried with Adaptive Web Sevice Model I got File not found Exception. So I tried with the Web Sevice Model -- Deprecated.
when I am executing the WS in the application I am getting output nor the errors. But when I am executing this WS in the WS navigator, I am getting the output. I checked all the bindings and mappings. I invalidated all output nodes after execution. And I am passing all mandatory parameters.
Helpful answers will be awarded certainly.

Are you getting any exception on execution of model? did you print any message in the catch block?
If not, please try to print the exception message and exception cause. (ex.getCause).
If you are not getting any exception, try executing the webservice directly in webservice navigator and check whether result is coming or not.
