Follow the steps below and check if that resolve the issue:
1. Open Mcafee software, from the Virus and Spyware Protection section click on Schedule and run scans. Click on Real time scanning and then on Turn Off. select till I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the Turn Off button.
Now try reinstalling the HP Software and check if the installation goes as expected.
If the issue persists continue following the next steps below:
2. Open the run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir% and click on OK.
3. Type hpoins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
4. Type hpwins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
5. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
6. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
7. Run the installation file and check for any difference.

WinNT has a Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) but Win2k has COM+ instead; does that make a difference in terms of the installer looking for MTS?     I am doing the following.
    1. I am installing Oracle 10.2.01 Database(Not Client) on my windows Xp laptop. While installation i Choose the custom option and Check the Oracle Windows Interface. In that i check the "Install Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server" checkbox. The installation goes on fine till 99% and when it tries to install the
    Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server it gives an error saying that "Microsoft Transaction server" was not found on the system.
    I had previously installed the same on my laptop and it was working fine. but after uninstallation when i try to re install i get this problem.
    If i go to the services.msc option in windows i still see the OracleMTSRecoveryService option even when i have uninstalled oracle. But when i try to start the services i get the following error
    Could Not start the OracleMTSRecoveryService on the local computer.
    Error 3: The system cannot find the file specified.
    Any help on how to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated

  • Error while installing a patch for Mainwin 5.0.2 on Solaris 2.8

    Hi,
    I am relatively new in this field, so i apologise for any slip-ups.
    We use a Solaris 2.8-SPARC server. I was given an external drive which contained the porting software Visual Mainwin 5.0.2 and was told to install it from the drive. On checking it, i found that the entire folder structure of the software was damaged, i.e. every file of the software was changed to uppercase. UNIX being highly case-sensitive, i manually changed each and every file present in the software directory to lowercase and then ran it.
    The software ran fine, it got installed and the license server was also up. the licenses were also nicely distributed. everything was fine until i was asked to install the patch 'vmw502_sunos5_HF1.sh'. While installing i got the following output :

    Hope you already tried: ls -l /export/home/tools/solaris/env/mainsoft/../mwver/mwversion.ini If ls returns the file name, try running the script under truss to find some clues.

    Thanks Désirée for your answer and apologies for the late update on this one.
    This issue is resolved now, the reason for the error was a lack of memory which probably triggered a timeout in sapinst. After upgrading the memory to 7GB and re-starting the ABAP+Java AS and resuming sapinst everything went through fine. However, this was hard to spot because the logs wouldn't tell you about the lack of memory but about everything else!

    I am in the middle of installing Identity Synchronization for Windows and I am running into a probelm.
    After I gave the ldap address of the Java Directory server, (which is installed in the same machine that I am installing ISW on), then I specified the "Configuration Root Suffix" , and then I gave the "cn=Directory Manager" credentials, It returns an error saying...
    The selected Directory Server is not a configuration
    directory server. You must select a directory server that
    has "o=netscaperoot". Please note that merely adding the
    +"o=netscaperoot" entry will not suffice.+
    I am running Solaris 10 (SPARC) on a T2000, and I downloaded the latest version of "Sun Java System Directory Server Enterprise Edition" (6.2 I think it is...is there a way to find out?) and I downloaded ISW (1.1 SP1) from Sun.com...
    Anyone else had this problem? Any solutions? Thanks.

  • Error while installing ifrs starterkit for nw

    I just installed the ifrs starter kit as mentioned in the installation document troughh bw.
    it has been installed with errors relating the following dimensions: INTERCO,RPTCURRENCY and OWNACCOUNT.
    Invalid attribute name (MBR__SEQ) in dimension (INTERCO)
    Invalid attribute name (MBR__SEQ) in dimension (OWNACCOUNT)
    Invalid attribute name (MBR__SEQ) in dimension (RPTCURRENCY)
    and the log message indicates that INTERCO dimension has invalid mmbers.
    Member (I_S000) of dimension (INTERCO) is not a valid member (there are several of this message)
    i can access the appset trough bw and bpc and as i opened the INTERCO dimension it was empty. than tried to update it with the delivered dimension excelsheet (which appears on my pc after extracting the file) bpc sends an error message as i try to process this dimension.
    the message is "Invalid attribute name (MBR__SEQ) in dimension (INTERCO)"
    on the excel client the templates can be opened but data send does not work.
    has any one else had same problems? what can be the reason?

    you should also be sure that your Apshell is installed correctly and your system is running correct. you can chek the structure of any of your appset trough SA38 by running UJA_DATA_CHECKER.
    THESE STEPS SHOULD RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM
    BEST REGARDS
    In NetWeaver, run transaction SA38.
    Enter in the Program:  UJA_MIGRATE_MBR_SEQ
    Click the Execute button.
    Manually enter in the APPSET(in your case the name of ifrs kit) name and Dimension name and click Execute.  Please note, if you leave the Dimension field blank, all dimensions for that appset will be checked for MBR_SEQ and the attribuite will be added as needed.
    While this is running, you will see status updates in the bottom left hand corner.  Once the process completes, you will get a message:
    Member sequence was added to dimension <Dimension>
    NOTE:  The APPSET name is case sensitive and are listed in the APPSET_ID column of table UJA_APPSET_INFO.  For example, ApShell and APSHELL are not the same Application Set (AppSet).
    If you do not have the program UJA_MIGRATE_MBR_SEQ, please see note 1563414.

    I am trying to install oracle 9.2.0.1 on my windows 2003 machine and when i click on setup.exe nothing happens. when i tried to run it thru command prompt again nothing happens when i check in computer management => event views it throws following error.
    The application, C:\DOCUME~1\barb\Local Settings\Temp\1\OraInstall2006-08-11_05-19-46AM\jre\bin\javaw.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 08/11/2006 @ 05:19:56.356 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 6D4CF9A0 (jvm!JVM_TraceMethodCalls)
    can anybody suggest me what could be the problem or i will have to install jvm first and then try installing oracle?

    I am sure that you tried to install with a user ID which does not have administrator rights. Restart with full admin ID and it will be fine

    I got this same error both when trying to download Lightroom from Creative Cloud, from the Lightroom 5 install disk I have, and from the 5.6 update that downloaded.
    The problem started when my version of 5.4 (which was working fine) told me to upgrade to 5.6. The upgrade happily removed 5.4, and then failed in the middle of the 5.6 upgrade.
    Since then, I can't install any version of 5.x, even after rebooting Windows.

    No. I tried those suggestions that Ned Murphy sent, but still got the same install error.
    Last night, I had some Apple installs (iTunes update) fail as well with an "internal error" on that same PC. Using tracing tools, I think it is something to do with the registry. I think it is probably time for me to reinstall Windows.
    If I didn't do gaming on that computer, I'd ditch it for a Mac, as it is my last computer running that horrible Microsoft sludge known as Windows with their infernal, complex, buggy registry. I have switched to Mac on every other computer in my world (work, living-room entertainment).
    Anyway, sorry for the negativity, but this problem is immensely frustrating. I have a library of 150,000 images that I now cannot use Lightroom to manage.

    Hello,
    When I am installing the SAP SAP J2EE add-on for SAP NW XI installation I am getting the follwing error:
    CJS-00084 SQL statement or script failed. DIAGNOSIS: Error message: Executable /oracle/XID/920_64/bin/sqlplus returns 127.. SOLUTION: See ora_sql_results.log and the Oracle documentation for details
    Could some one help me to resolve this error and install the SAP J2EE add-on?

    Kindly use the latest installation Masted in Service market place. That will possibly solve your problem.
