Error while running a KPI Watchlist in obiee 11g dashboard

I am getting the following error while running a KPI Watchlist :
*" Odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW) "*
I added two KPI's (KPI 1 & KPI 2)into that Watchlist , one from the default "Sample Sales Lite" (sub 1) and another from sub 2 which have essbase as data source .
KPI 1 (created from sub 1) is working fine , but while placing KPI 2 (created from sub 2 ) in the watchlist , its throwing the above error . However , while running KPI 2 individually , its showing meaningful results .
Let me know if the problem statement is not clear .
OBIEE version used : 11.1.1.5.0 .

Could anyone reply this thread. I am also getting the same error . Even server logs are also not helping.

In OBIEE 11g we are facing an issue regarding exporting a few reports to pdf. It is resulting in following error: "Error generating PDF document".
The reports are placed on a dashboard which has a prompt too. However, when we remove the prompts, the export is working fine.
We will really appreciate any help in this regard.

Looks like this is a sort of known bug with PDF creator in 11g. Try implementing the below solution:
To configure the Javahost service, edit the Javahost service configuration parameters in the
instanceconfig.xml file. The parameters are
identified by their relative path starting from the /WebConfig/ServerInstance node
For example:
<JavaHost>
<PDF>
<InputStreamLimitInKB>50000</InputStreamLimitInKB>
</PDF>
</JavaHost>
After changes restart Siebel Analytics Java Host and Siebel Analytics Web services
If it doesn't work try to create same report in xml publisher as presentations services in obiee has limited capacities in printing out reports.

Error while running statically linked OCCI application on 11G client

Hello,
Till recently we used RogueWave classes to connect to Oracle database both 10G and 11G server. So we used to do a build on 10.2.0.4 client and then use that same build with 10.2.0.4 as well as 11.1.0.7 client to connect to 10G and 11G server databases respectively.
Now we replaced RogueWave classes with Oracle Template Library solution which is a open source solution and want it to run the same way as in use Oracle 10.2.0.4 client to connect to Oracle 10G database and Oracle 11.1.0.7 client to connect to Oracle 11.1.0.7 database. But here when we used to do a build and link with occi library of 10.2.0.4 client we were unable to run that build by changing oracle client to 11.1.0.7 as name of occi library in Solaris 10.2.0.4 client is libocci.so.10.1 . This is not available in 11.1.0.7.
So we used static version of same library libocci10.a and we were successfully able to run our application on both 10.2.0.4 as well as 11.1.0.7 client but occasionally we get below message on console although no error is observed in data in databases.
ld.so.1: oracle: fatal: libskgxp11.so: open failed: No such file or directory
Here is the details.

One of your services is not running. Are you able to login to the Enterprise Manager Console:
http://serverrname:7001/em (or whatever port WL is deployed on)
If so, you will see what is not running.
If you are not able to pull this URL up, then WebLoigc is not running. 11g on Windows only installs 2 out of box services, "Process Manager" and "Node Manager". You still need to start WebLoigc or create it as a windows services. From there you can access the EM and manage all the other services.

Error while running OBIA configuration configApps.bat

I am receiving error while running configapps.bat.
I have the following wnvironment installed:
64 Bit windows
Java 6 (JDK1.6.x)
Weblogic server 10.3.6 in software only mode
Ran OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 RCU utility to create BIPLATFORM and MDS schemas.
configured OBIEE 11.1.1.7
Installed ODI 11.1.1.7 with All components and “Skip Repository Configuration”
Ran OBI Apps RCU to create schemas for:
ODI Master and Work Repositories (DEV_BIA_ODIREPO)
Oracle Business Applications Components (DEV_BIACOMP)
Oracle Business Analytics Datwarehouse (DEV_DW)
Update to MDS schema.
Installed BI Apps 11.1.1.7.1
Applied FMW Platform Patches
Updated BIACOMP Schema with ATGLite patch scripts
Everything was up and running until now, when i try to configure OBIA via running configApps.bat, it is getting stuck at ODI configuration.
Also the server seems to be going to idle/suspended state every now and after 5-6 mins of startup and i see this message repeated again and again in server log :

The re-install has been successful. Didnt encounter any issues in any configuration.
However the waring still appears

Also in the log i am getting the following errors as well in the Weblogic server log
BEA -101020 Servelet failed with exception Java.lang.illegalstateexception: Cannot forward a response that is already committed
Oracle.as.management.mbeans.opmn OPMN.queryProcessStatus failed with the following exception oracle.as.management.opmn.optic.OpticBadConnectionException: Failed to create secure socket for OPMN
All patches were applied successfully, including weblogic one's.
Has anyone got any idea how to resolve these issues.

This is most probably because the Periodicity input value has been configured as "Required" and no value has been input for it.
Please enter a value and try to re-run Quick Pay.

500 Internal server error while running sqlsrv_query in PHP

Hello everyone I am having a problem with sqlsrv_query I will be grateful to you please provide some help.
I am running a query through php:
$ls_parcel_query = "select * from ParcelDetail order by ExtractDate";
$result = sqlsrv_query($conn, $ls_parcel_query, array(), array("Scrollable"=>"keyset","QueryTimeout"=>300));
$no_of_rows = sqlsrv_num_rows($result);
echo "<br/>".$no_of_rows;
It gives (After 30 seconds):
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
I have php.ini settings like below:
max_execution_time = 90
memory_limit = 128M
While running this query in SQL SERVER 2008 R2, it successfully gives result in some times in 1 minute and sometimes in 2 minutes.

Error while running the Report

Hi ,
I am trying to run the Report in Bex Analyzer. and once I enter the value for the variable, it gives me message that "Element is not correctly define (please check query)" and when i click on the error it gives me detail message as below :

Additional elements that do not have the same dimension, such as quantities and amounts or amounts and ratios, are added to element Sales Qty Gallons .
Procedure
Check your definition.
If you still want to use this addition, you can suppress the dimensionality of one or both subexpressions by using the 'NODIM' operator. The system then interprets this or these subexpressions as nondimensional numbers.
In the executed query, you can use the Key Figure Definition function to analyze element Sales Qty Gallons .</b></b>
Now the thing is I am already using "NODIM" operator to add those elements. and I m not sure why this error is coming up now because I have created this query a while ago and it wasnt giving me any error at that time but now I have make some changes into it and it;s giving me this error while running the Report. But the thing is I didnt change anything in the element for which it;s showing me error.

There are two or more key figures in your report. They are defined by different dimensions and somewhere you have a formula with both these key figure.
Edit your query and select the Check Query icon. It will tell you which calculation you have the problem with. Edit this calculation to see which key figures are present.
If the formula is logically correct, best thing to do is to put a NODIM( ) on your key figures that make up the formula, and then change you formula to look at the NODIM( ) version.
That will fix things for you,

I am getting following error while running a jsp report from Jdeveloper. I am using version 10.1.2.1.0. The same report is working fine when I am running it from report builder. ( Both these tools were installed using Oracle Developer Suite 10g version 10.1.2). I did search in oracle discussion forums and google, but I could not arrive at a resolution of error. Any help in resolving this issue would be grateful.

It seems to be a very common error. Try checking your map assignments when the source (from) is empty (null). These mappings with null values may produce the error you are facing...
