Server not running!! Failed to start ns-slapd process.
Please help me here. I dont know the PIN for Internal (Software) Token. Please help.

Hi,
it seems you're trying to start an instance which is configured for SSL, so at startup time, it's asking the default keystore password to access the internal security certificate/device.
You should know that password.
Thanks,

I got one reply on a site and it works.
    sathya said,
*I got the same error as above. The fix is fairly simple. Login as “weblogic” user in Oracle and run the script under $BEA_HOME\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\rdbms_security_store_oracle.sql file and you’ll be good to go.*
*I didn’t realize this for quite some time. When I tried to create a new domain, I noticed this message on top bar in the second screen (fine print!)*

  • Error while installing iplanet directory server 5.0

Hi I am trying to install iPlanet directory server 5.0 on my local machine. My computer name doesnot contain any domain name.it is simply like "ERT3210".
While installing Directory server it is asking for the computer name and if i give the computer name without domain it is not accepting. And i am unable to rename my computer name suffixing domain name as it is not contained in any domain..Now How can i give the computer name to install directory server?.Its very urgent for me.It will be great help if any one give reply.

Start/Stop Directory Server and Start/Stop Admin Server are usually present in My Computer/Manage/Services, just start or stop the service.
Assuming the install root directory is %LDAP_ROOT%
You could always create program icons for
    1) start/stop dirrectory server
    %LDAP_ROOT%\slapd-%COMPUTERNAME%\start-slapd.exe
    %LDAP_ROOT%\slapd-%COMPUTERNAME%\stop-slapd.exe

No this is not a clustered environment.
yeah but under domains there are two domains we have created.
    i.e. domains/ domain1 domain2
both are having soa servers as managed server.
in one domain soa is up but in domain2 it is not getting up causing above errors while starting.
FYI : It is causing problem now only.. before this , soa server on both the server have been up & running simultaneously.

    Hi Subin,
Once the server is started, is Auditing to DB successful?
Assuming that you have auditing to DB configured and that it is generally working, I suspect that the errors messages are occurring during the time when the server is making the jndi sources available to the server. If so, the messages are harmless (although I do not think they should happen).

  • Error while starting the managed server

    Hi,
While starting the managed server i get ClassNotFoundException for the following files.
    oracle.as.jmx.framework.wls.spi.StartupListener - jmxframework.jar
    oracle.security.jps.wls.JpsWlsStartupClass - jps-wls.jar
    oracle.security.audit.ajl.loader.JEEAuditLoader
    oracle.dms.wls.DMSStartup - dms.jar
    oracle.core.ojdl.weblogic.ODLConfiguration - odl2.jar
    oracle.ias.cache.Startup -
    oracle.mds.lcm.weblogic.WLLifecycleListener
    oracle.dms.wls.DMSServletFilter
When checked I found jars related to above classes in BEAHOME/jdeveloper/modules folder.
are the jars also present some where in weblogic related folders.
Also "wsil-wls" and "dms" applications are not properly deployed in the ManagedServer.
When I am trying to deploy another application in managed server i get DMSServletFilter ClassNotFoundException.
I tried to add the above jars from jdeveloper folder to the POST_CLASSPATH in setDomainEnv.sh but i still get the same ClassNotFOundException while deploying.
Which config file should i update?
    Thank You.

I think you've changed and added some lines into your startWebLogic.sh script. Can you put your script here?

Most of the time this error is coming from a wrong psservername parameter definition in configuration.properties of your Webserver. Be sure you can ping the servername or IP address defined, and the port is the Jolt port of the AppServer domain.
Please, show us what's the value. And also your PTools, Weblogic, Tuxedo version and OS used.

How are you starting the managed server? Is it a new install? The error suggests that the managed server is already running. You could check the windows task manager to see if there is a Java process running (or two if managed and admin server is on the same machine)

I have OIM installed on a linux 64 bit server with SOA as well. When I start the servers, the Admin and OIM servers get started properly. However when I start SOA I get the following errors in the logs. Also the issue is that none of the default composites for approval workflows are getting loaded into SOA. So whenever I try to raise a request, I get a null exception in the backend oim logs. Also in the em console, soa-infra component, there are no composites deployed and the page shows "No Composites". Hey $id,
    I remember this warning:
"<oracle.jps.authorization> <JPS-03001> <Cannot instantiate permission class "oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialAccessPermission", target "context=SYSTEM,name=*", or actions "*" as defined in the system policy context.>"
I saw this situation once when my Soa Server files were Corrupted into it's domain files:
To fix this into my environment I did:
1)I put down the server;2)I went to the domain folder from which the server was started;2)then go to <domain_home>\servers folder. I did a backup and delete the folder with the server name(...$DOMAIN_HOME\servers\soa_server;3)So, after that restart the server. During startup, the deleted folder with all the required files necessary for the server to start will get created again (...$DOMAIN_HOME\servers\soa_server2) .
This should help if you are facing the domain files corrupt issue as I had.
    I hope this helps,
    Thiago Leoncio.

Seem that is a problem in starting DB instance phase, specificly for DBMS instance (you need to check detailed DB starting log in run directory).
For Run Directory, check this link:
    http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/htmhelp/ff/2d823b572b844ee10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

  • Could not load Logmanager "oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager" error while starting the Admin server

    Hi,
I installed weblogic 12.1.2.0.0 with RHEL5.6.  After the installation, I tried to post the following class path in setDomainEnv.sh file under the domain home directory,
    POST_CLASSPATH="/prosun/jasper/jasperreports-3.6.0.jar:/prosun/jasper/commons-digester-1.7.jar:/prosun/jasper/log4j-1.2.15.jar:/prosun/jasper/org.apache.commons.beanutils_1.6.jar:/prosun/jasper/org.apache.commons.collections_3.1.jar:/prosun/jasper/org.apache.commons.logging_1.0.4.jar:/prosun/jasper/iText-2.1.0.jar:/prosun/jasper/groovy-all-1.5.5.jar"
While i am  trying to start the Admin server, the server didn't started and following exception is reported in nohup.out file.  Please help me to resolve this issue.
The above library jars are required for our applications.

please, don't use root again for weblogic administration.
list all files with root permissions:
move to Middleware Home, example: cd /u01/app/oracle/Middleware
    find . -user root
if there are files with root permissions, change it to oracle:oinstall
    I saw this:
    Could not load Logmanager "oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager"
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager
Please check in DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setDomainEnv.sh file if exist this:
    JAVA_OPTIONS="-Djava.util.logging.manager=oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    export JAVA_OPTIONS
    MWCONFIG_CLASSPATH=${FMWCONFIG_CLASSPATH}${CLASSPATHSEP}${COMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME}/modules/oracle.odl_11.1.1/ojdl.jar
    export FMWCONFIG_CLASSPATH
    if exist, replace for:
    JAVA_OPTIONS="${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    export JAVA_OPTIONS
if not existe, its necesary for you to use /prosun/jasper/org.apache.commons.logging_1.0.4.jar in your classpath?. If it isn't necesary delete it, and restart the AdminServer.

  • Error while starting admin/managed server domain

    Hi,
I have installed Weblogic 10.3.3 on windows 7 64-bit and created a single domain weblogic configuration wizard. As per my understanding single domain server the purpose of admin as well as managed server.
Now while starting domain server, I'm getting below error messages:
    E:\Middleware_Home\user_projects\domains\first_domain\bin>setDomainEnv.cmd
\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip was unexpected at this time.
    E:\Middleware_Home\user_projects\domains\first_domain\bin>startWebLogic.cmd
\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip was unexpected at this time.
    E:\Middleware_Home\user_projects\domains\first_domain\bin>startManagedWebLogic.cmd
\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip was unexpected at this time.
Please help me where I should start looking. There is no log file created in Middleware home. I just started learning Weblogic (3-4 days back).
    Thanks,
    Neeraj
