Error while writing data to View Object programmetically

Hi,
I want to create a poplist with dynamic values.
For the same,
I have created a View Object(CustomVO) using the VO wizard.The view object does not have a datasource.I have added 2 transient attributes(TubeCode and TubeName).The viewobject is attached to a poplist.
The custom method written in the AM is as follows.
OAViewObjectImpl vo = this.getCustomVO1();
Row row = vo.createRow();
row.setAttribute("TubeCode","SS");
row.setAttribute("TubeName","Stainless Steel");
vo.insertRow(row);
row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
I have attached the AM to the PageLayoutRN and display/value attributes to the poplist and the AM custom method is invoked in the controller.(Process Request)
When I run the page I get the following error and poplist does not contain the values.Please help me to sort it out
oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyViewObjectException: JBO-25016: View object CustomVO1 is read only.

Hi,
I set the Updateable property of view attributes to "Always".
It was set to "Never" by default.
The poplist is populated successfully.

I am working in a new enviorment and i am trying to save a report to the Crystal Server via the CMC. I am uploading the report from the objects tab and attempting to save to a folder. The report has 1 static defined parameter and that's it. When i click submit to save the report i receive the following error message: "There was an error while writing data back to the server: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder." There is not a anothe report within the folder with that name. What could be causing this error message and equally important, what is the solution.

hte message you received about duplicate user probably means something hadn't fully updated yet. Once it did then it worked...

Error while updating data from DataStore object

Hi,
Currently we are upgrading BW3.5 to BI7.0 for technical only,
we found and errors during process chain run in further processing step. This step is basically a delta loading from DSO to Cube.
The error message are:
Error while updating data from DataStore object 0GLS_INV
Message no. RSMPC146
Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red
Message no. RSM078
That's all no further errors message can be explained clearly here from system.
I have applied SAP note 1152453 and reactivate the datasource, infosource, and data target.
Still no help here!?
Please advise if you encountered these errors before.

Getting error while importing metadata using View Objects

Hi All,
I am trying to create a repository using View Object in OBIEE 11.1.5.1 but getting error while viewing the data, after importing the metadata in the repository "[nQSError: 77031] Error occurs while calling remote service ADFService11G. Details: Runtime error for service -- ADFService11G - oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/ApplSession".
I am also getting error "žADFException-2015: The BI Server is incompatible with the BI-ADF Broker Servlet: BI Server protocol version = null, BI-ADF Broker Servlet protocol version = 1" during testing my sample which is deployed to Admin server. I followed BI Adminstrator help file guide in order to create the sample for creating repository using view object.

I am able to import metadata using view object but getting above error("[nQSError: 77031] Error occurs while calling remote service ADFService11G. Details: Runtime error for service -- ADFService11G - oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/ApplSession".") while validating the data.
It fails at step 5 of "To import metadata from an ADF Business Component data source:" section of above URL.

Error while loading data to ods object from flatfile

hello all
Iam loading data from flatfile to ods object and the processing type is PSA and then to data target(package by package),data arrived in PSA(its green) but in monitor the request is in red and in details tab of subsequent processing its showing as ODS activation?(change-log):not yet activated and overall the error is Missing Messages.
and its also saying like "Activation of data records from ODS object ODS_SALES terminated.
and in help node its saying like data arrived in BW and try to change the request from red to green?
can anyone tell me what will be the problem?
In settings of ODS object everthing is set to automatically.

problem is generic here.
In monitor tab the request and overall the statuts is "RED",but when I went into the mange tab of ODS object here the request is "GREEN",but the data is not available here.but data is still available in "New data",how come data is not yet activated.
bcoz in settings all are set to "automatically",so there is no question of manual activation?
One more question is in Settings Iam finding one column like "Unique Data Records",whats's this,if v check this what happens ifnot what happens?

In my message mapping I need to call a web service to which I need to send a field value consist of SIGNED DATA.
I am using SAP SSF API to read the certificate stored in NWA and Signing the Data as explained in

when I have tested using Test tab of message mapping it is working fine and I am able to access the certificate Keystore of NWA(we have created a keystore view and keystore entry to store the certificate) and generate the signed data ,but when I test end to end scenario from ECC system,it is getting failed in mapping with the error
' Error while signing data - Private key or certificate of signer not availableu2019.
Appreciate your expert help to resolve this issue urgently please.

Error while reading data for Virtual Infoprovider 0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_VC12

Hi ,
The standard reports based on 0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_VC12 are working fine in development system. When we moved the following objects to test system ,
0TCT_VC11 - 0TCT_IS11 & 0TCT_DS11
0TCT_VC12 - 0TCT_IS12 & 0TCT_DS12
We are not able to view data either in the MP nor at the report level.We face the following issue
There is still no data source assigned to VirtualProvider 0TCT_VC11
Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0TCT_VC11
Error while reading data; navigation is possible
Can anybody help me on this.

Hello Lavanya,
Please activate the direct access for the virtual providers. Also note that it is only possible to use the BI admin cockpit in a myself system.
Please follow the below steps to activate the same:
TX: RSA1 ->Infoproviders-> Business Information-> BI Statistics->select
Virtual provider-> Go to context menu of the virtual cubes-> Activate
Direct Access. ( Eg virtual cube name )
Please also generate the reports by following the below steps:
RSRT -> Query name -> Generate Report.

ORA-2002 : error while writing to audit trail

Hi all ,
I am oracle 11g and on SPARC OS.
I enabled audit in my database by setting the parameter audit_trail=DB and then i restarted my instance.
On doing so the database started but whenever i am trying to connect using pl/sql developer , i am getting the following list of errors :
ORA-00604 : error occured at recursive SQL level 1
ora-00904 : "DBID" invalid identifier
Ora-02002 : error while writing to audit trail

I checked on the net for ora-02002 and increased the size of the system tablespace from 750 M to 1000M.
My system tablespace is dictionary managed.
bounced the database also , but still getting the same errors.

Error while saving date value in Java dictionary

Hello Everybody,
I got following error while saving date value in one of the fields of the Java table.
Internal error occured in submit request: Error in method updateRequestContact : The object of type java.sql.Date with the value '2005-12-04 08:00:00.0' assigned to host variable 9 is not normalized. It must not contain time components in the time zone running the virtual machine.
I can't find why it is taking time value in the date object.
This value is coming from the RFC as a date value, and I am saving this value in Java dictionary table.
Same code for this was working fine earlier. But, now suddenly it gives error like this.
Even if I provide date on the screen from webdynpro application, this date value can't save in the Java dictionary and gives same error.
What should be the problem behind this?

More Information:
I have dat value in the Date object: target_date
But Now I have made new Date object as following:
Date target_Date1 = new Date(target_date.getYear(),target_date.getMonth(),target_date.getDate());
Then I am passing this object to Java dictionary. Still it gives same error.
Then I have changed code as following:
 int l_year;
 int l_month;
 int l_days;
 l_year = target_Date.getYear();
 l_month = target_Date.getMonth();
 l_days = target_Date.getDate();
 Date target_Date1 = new Date(l_year,l_month,l_days);
Now it works for me.
But I guess this is not the perment solution. It looks very strange. I have used so many date objects at various palces. So, this solution is not the final for me.
I want to findout the main cause of it.
One more thing: This code was working for a mornth or two. But, now suddenly it is giving this error.
Please help me if anybody knows.

Error while generating Data provider

We are facing a weird issue while using Design Studio 1.2. Locally the tool works fine but when we use it from BI-Launchpad or through BI Enterprise it gives intermittent error "Error while generating Data Provider"
Same setup works fine in our Validation Environment.
We have tried running repair for Design Studio, redeploy the war files, creating new view but issue still exist.
We have BI 4.0 SP7 installed on Windows 2008 R2 system.
4 CMS running in cluster, Design Studio 1.2 is installed on 3 Nodes out of 4.
For now we are using 1 tomcat to access the system to narrow down the issue.
Experts please help us to resolve this issue.

I am not clear what your data source is, but I recommend checking the PAM https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001013822013E because there are some limitations with Design Studio and BI4.0

Error while trying to remove an object with dsrm command

hello,
i get an error while trying to delete an object computer with the command line tool, DSRM. i get this view:
actually, it's a one of hundreds of commands, that help cleaning the active directory of the obsolete objects. it is saying : "Access Denied" (in french, accès refusé). i say that the account used to execute this command, is a member of domain
admins group, and enterprise admins group too. so i cannot believe it's a mater of some missing rights... :/

Hi,
I was able to reproduce your issue when using a non-elevated command prompt in a 2008R2 box. So please try to elevate your command prompt and your command will most likely go through.
In addition to above, I'd suggest you look in to PowerShell instead, which in most cases is more effective.(and doesn't need to run in an elevated prompt to make AD-Changes)
The same as above could be done with the powershell cmdlet Remove-AdComputer.

This error occurs when you try to create a materialized view , but if you run the sql the results are perfectly fine. Well it happend to me also and to fix this I made sure all the coulmns have the same data type which are used in joins or in where clause.

Error while writing wsdl file

Hi,
i' m working on jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 and when i want to add a partner link to my BPEL project i get 'error while writing wsdl file' 'exception null' error then i couldn't create file.
so how can i solve this problem?

Once the wrapper procedure is created by the adapter, the adapter does a second search to obtain the information about the wrapper (i.e. parameters, their data types, etc.). What's likely happening here is that the wrapper is getting created, but the adapter can't find it. The XSD is based on the wrapper, so if it can't be found, then no XSD can be generated. Try removing the existing wrapper package or choose that option in the wizard when it generates a new one.
