Error with GUI download

Hi,
whenever I use GUI_DOWNLOD (cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download)
I get a popup (title "SapGuI file save options") with the message "The file ... might be overwritten by a download. Do you want to allow this?".
I have to confirm and then the download starts. Note: it happens also when the target file does not exist. Only my home office connected over VPN acts like this. SAp Gui is 640 Final Release Build 760892 Patch level 11.
WS_DOWNLOAD does not show this phenomenon.
Anybody experienced this?

Hi,
I solved the problem by accessing the SapGui options.
Under the local data settings -> Front end security, there is an option I didn't find in the help file.
I unchecked the marker and it solved my problem.
I hoe it helps.

Exception errors with GUI

Hello, I've been working on some Java as part of an engineering project, however my skills with Java aren't great, and my skills with GUI and Networking (which this involves) were only as a user before starting this. A problem that I haven't been able to get around is an exception error when using the actionPerformed method from java.awt.* .
My goal is to be able to, when a button is pushed, send a UDP packet with the command of the button to another PC. My understanding from tutorials is that actionPerformed is the method to use for when buttons are pushed, however creating or using a DatagramSocket inside this method causes an exception error (java.net.SocketException). Normally I would just tell it to throw exceptions, but when trying it says it cannot overwrite the method. I thought I got around this by placing the socket within another method and calling that instead, but that just simply caused a different exception (java.lang.Exception).
Any suggestions on how to make this work, or am I using the wrong method for this sort of thing?

Dump error with GUI 7.1

Hello,
I have GUI 7.1 with patch 6 on my PC. I receive a dump error 'EXCEPTION_ERROR' when I double click on a BI transfer link and can not run the program. On another PC with a lower patch level everything runs fine. I don't think it is caused by a program error but rather something with the GUI. What do you suggest?

Can't download DW5.5. Error with Adobe Download Assistant

I am getting error 100 with the Adobe Download Assistant (ADA). The log is below. IE can connect to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/flex2gateway so why is ADA having problem? I wish Adobe didn't take away the direct download links. Searching the forums it seems lots of people are having problems with iADA and it must be causing support headache for Adobe.
My suggestion is for people who know what they're doing, provide the direct links. For people who don't know what to do after the download or have slow connection, they can use ADA.

Sorry, I thought the Cleaner would do it. Did another search and found these instructions to remove the download manager:

The browser is involved because it runs as a plugin of the browser. Plugins are different for the browsers. IE typically runs through ActiveX whereas other browsers run through a java enabled version. By trying the download in another browser you can rule out where the problem lies. Otherwise, I feel your only solution is to get in touch with Adobe support because this is a user-to-user community and there won't be much more help than KB articles. Also with Adobe email support you can email them log files to look at. It's along the process and will explain as you go.

Error with iTunes download. Can anyone help?

I tried installing the latest version of itunes and after being told that it had successfully installed, I tried to run the program and was greeted with the following message from itunes:
"Entry point not found. The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia. dll"
I clicked 'ok' and got another error message which said:
"itunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127)"
I have tried un-installing and re-installing a few times as well as trying to download in a Firefox browser rather than internet explorer. No luck.

Console error with GUI , return code -17

Hi All,
I have just finished the Installation of SAP IDES 4.7. Installation was sucessful, after that I Installed GUI 640. But when we are starting the Console it is starting without any error which also shows WP table details in run mode. When we logon to gui, console becomes "Yellow" and dispatch process stop with a return code -17.

Thanks for ur reply. Actually when we started the installation process, and GUI, we have not provide the loopback adapter in the Primary DNS, but Loopback Adapter was properly configured with IP.
Later on we realised and added the 127.0.0.1 in the Primary DNS. But its still not working.

hi..
have a problem regarding loging into sap.... the problem is..

Error with a download song on Itunes..

I downloaded a song an it only has 14sec of play time. It has an error message (files not found).

I'm very troubled by this issue because I have been purchasing music from the ITunes Store for years but the problem basically is that when I try to buy the one song again it says I have already purchased it so it automatically downloads it when I try to buy it again which continues the same problem and I tried to hide it from the purchase menu and that did not work i unhid it and the problem seems to continue can anyone kindly please help me figure out what I did wrong because I'm sure its ITunes Store's fault on this one.

DoScript Execution Error with GUI

The modal dialog that is open is your own!
You need to close it before you execute any code which touches the InDesign-specific part of the DOM...

I tried to install the software via the HP website. It's not working.

I am trying to download my photos from my iphone to my mac-iphoto. It keeps trying but about halfway through it says there is an error with a photo therefore it wont download any of my pictures or videos. It wont tell me which picture is the issue.

I took a lot of pictures and video on my recent trip to Ireland. Now I am trying to download the photos and videos from my iphone to my mac - iphoto. I have tried 3 times and each time (at a different point) I get a message telling me that there was an error with one of my photos and it wont load the pictures. Help!!

Try using Image Capture to download to a folder on the Desktop. If there's a damaged file on the iPhone that's preventing the download you can isolate it with Image Capture and then delete it from the iPhone.

Constant Error Messages with Purchasing & Downloading on iTunes with iOS 7

This is getting ridiculous. Ever since I downloaded iOS 7 when it first came out, I've had difficulties making purchases and downloading content wirelessly using iTunes on my iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Every time I tap "Buy" I get a message that says the "Content Cannot Be Purchased At This Time." I then have to close iTunes completely (double-tapping the HOME button and swiping up on the iTunes window), then re-launch iTunes, find the content again and re-hit Buy and then I finally get the button to Download Now and Download Later. Choosing Download Now, I get another error message saying "Content Cannot Be Downloaded At This Time," and I have to do the whole shut down/re-start process all over again to finally have the download start. This happens when I attempt purchases using 3G and on wifi (and I've tried several different wifi networks and I get this error all the time).
I never used ot have problems like this on my 4S or iPad 2 before iOS 7. I tried restoring to factory settings and then moving all the content manually back from the iCloud and my computer and I still get the error. I tried signing out of my AppleID and logging back in, still get the error. I downloaded the latest iOS 7 software (currently running 7.0.4) and I STILL GET THE BLOODY ERROR. Calling AppleCare, they have no freaking clue why I'm getting this error and neither do the Genius Bar people.
There doesn't seem to be anybody else (that I can find online) who has the same problem. But there also doesn't seem to be anybody at Apple looking in to this which is incredibly frusturating. I've been submitting Bug Reports to the Apple Feedback pages for over a year now and still no acknowledgment from Apple. I also have been having the issue where my iPhone/iPad iCal apps keep reversing my Alert preferences (which I've noticed people complaining about for over 3 years with no solution from Apple).
This is getting out of hand. I've been a loyal Apple customer for the better part of a decade. I switched to Apple over PC because of their committment to excellence and relatively lack of bugs in their software. But lately, Apple's quality has suffered tremendously. When there are iOS software glitches that continue after 3 major updates (and several minor ones), clearly Apple engineers don't give a crap about their customers or the user experience. If these issues aren't addressed, I'm seriously going to take my business elsewhere. There is simply no excuse.

Reset your iPad and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

App-V 5 SP1: Error with SAP GUI 7.3

We work on a project to use SAP GUI 7.3 with latest fixes with App-V 5. This works fine so far with the exception of only one transaction in SAP - SWDD. This windows shows no icons on top. After waiting for a while this transaction stops working and SAP
GUI crashes. SAP support says it's an error with App-V. So we tried to find some error with process monitor. We are able to see many of these errors:

The Name not found indicates that it is looking for a registry key (location is the path) and not finding it. That may not be a problem, as it usually traverses multiple locations (HKCU and / or HKLM, native and virtual..).
First question is;
On a machine with SAP installed natively - is there an entry named;
HKLM\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3BE786A0-0366-4F5C-9434-25CF162E475E}\ExtendedErrors
or
HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3BE786A0-0366-4F5C-9434-25CF162E475E}\ExtendedErrors
If yes, does it exist in the package?
