Errors in stand-alone Sharepoint 2013 trial

Hi there, I have installed the stand-alone trial of Sharepoint 2013 on our Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise machine, Service Pack 1.
When I click on the 'Sites' link at the top right, I get the error:
"Not Found
The requested URL /my/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx was not found on this server."
And I get similar errors for any of the links at the top right: 'Newsfeed' and 'SkyDrive'
I have four Web Applications set up:
SharePoint - 20103 http://cr-dc-vygr01:20103/

look like your MySite host and UPA is not configured properly.
Central Admin > Application Management > Manage Services Application...On this page check if the User Profile service is listed their. Click on USer profile services, and check the configuration.
Follow the instruction below to configure Mysite and UPA

I created a SharePoint 2013 master page through Design Manager in Sharepoint 2013 and created a page layout like we do trough sharepoint designer as in sharepoint 2010 steps are below

Hi ,
As the error says, you need to add Content Place holders to Mater Page not the Page Layout.
For inserting left navigation, you can add Vertical Navigation SharePoint component to the master page using Snippets manager:
1.
Open the site then click design manager link from right top corner "Settings".
2.
Click “Edit Master Pages” link.
3.Click your custom mater page. It will open preview page.
4.
Once open the preview page then click Snippets menu from top right side. It will open “Snippet Gallery” in new tab page.
5.
Click the Vertical Navigation menu item in “DESIGN “tab.
6.
In this page we can easy to configure component properties.
After customization must click the update button then only the changes are reflected in the component snippet.
7.
Once click the update button the HTML code automatically generated in the “HTML snippet” box and click “Copy to Clipboard” button.
8.
Open the mapped network drive then open the Mater Page HTML file and paste HTML snippet where you want the navigation to show.

Error activating features in Sharepoint 2013 (Correlation ID)

Error building stand alone application, with LV.7.01

Hi to all....
I always get this pop up error (see picture attached) when trying to build a Stand alone application. I got the full version of Labview 7.01 and the Application builder also. the runtime engine is also 7.01.

All comm. problem are handeled.
The problem was based on the destinations for the .VI's.
Labview 7.1 isn't so got to manage these. It's something the user got to be carefully about.
Allmost solved. But now can't get the default 'labview Icon' to my finnished Application. You know... when you make a stand alone application..
then somewhere under the building process... you can choose if you want your own Icon added as the application starter icon! If you don't choose any.. Labview makes the Labview Icon as your application starter Icon.
And that is my problem now. Any ideas???

Server Error: Unexpected Error when running Napa SharePoint 2013 App

I am getting an error "Server Error : Unexpected error" when I try to run a SharePoint 2013 app in Napa Development environment.
It starts the process normally but after it shows "Uninstalling previous version" it throws the error. This has been happening since yesterday.Someone help

I have a solution to the problem. I had a folder with a JSON file. On renaming the file to .txt, the app ran normally. I believe .json files are not supported in SharePoint hence the error.

Error In Visual WebPart SharePoint 2013

So I was creating a SharePoint 2013 visual web part on Visual Studio 2012 and came to this problem. Visual Studio automatically creates WebPartUserControl.ascx.cs and WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs. the WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs is generated automatically
when you edit the WebPartUserControl.ascx file. So I've added a couple of ContentTemplate tags into .ascx file and Visual Studio generated this code in WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs :

I suggest you check if the parameter is valid in the function.
By default, the parameter is the same as you class name like below:

Range Filter Mode not working and throws error in Power View (SharePoint 2013)

If I select List Filter mode and try to achieve this it works fine no issue but when I use range filter this weird problem occurs. Can't I select multiple values using Range Filter Mode ? Isn't that's what it is intended to do ? Is it a known bug ? Any kind

From your description, I know you get error when you install SharePoint 2013 in Windows Server 2012 R2.
If you have tried all method above. In your case, you have installed the Web Server(IIS), but the
Web Server (IIS) role installation may fail. You could try run commande: aspnet_regii -enable –i.

Error while installing MS Project Server 2013(trial) on Sharepoint 2013(CAL)

My problem is that I get the following error:
trial editions and licensed editions of SharePoint, Project Server, and Office Web Apps products may not be installed on the same server
when I try to install MS Project Server 2013(180 days-evaluation) over a Sharepoint 2013(MAPS license).
What does exactly this error say?
Do I need to have Sharepoint and MS Project Server with same type of license?
If so, I suppose I'll have to remove Sharepoint(MAPS) and install a 180 days-evaluation Sharepoint. Will this re-installation be acceptable or I'll get some license type incompatibility issues?

Hello. You are correct, you will need to have the same license types either both trials or both licensed. Uninstalling/ reinstalling with trials should work fine or build another trial farm. Paul

Workflow Canceled Error in Sharepoint 2013

A new SP 2013 installation, one server with SP, WF, etc and the other is simply SQL Server. Went through the installation steps for Workflow including the powershell bits. In designer, I am able to create a simple workflow and select 2013 as the type.
When the workflow is run, is shows internal status is canceled and has the following error text below. Note that I am running the workflow as a basic user, not as a system account.

I've found few instances of this via various searches, most discuss not running the workflow as a system account, which is not the case here. The other mentions User Profile Service. I have no desire to have My Sites setup and whenever I start looking at
initiation User Profile Service it begins by creating a MySite web app and site collection to associate the UPS to. Is this all required to get Workflow going?

The WF is designed in SPD2013 and it has below steps..
1. Send email to sharepoint group member.
2. Start WF task with same group.
3. Add item to another list based on WF Outcome variable value.
4. End WF.
I have single server stand alone setup, everything on one server. Setting done for SMTP server on Central Admin out going mail and I am receiving the mail.
User ID used to to login to server is a member of Farm admin and also has Site Collection Admin rights. The WorkFlow service is running using different service account.
Any direction to get the exact error would be great help! Many thanks in advance.

Custom SharePoint 2013 workflow activities in site template throw error on site creation

Hi all,
I have created a number of custom activities for SharePoint 2013 Workflows and I am using them on an Office 365 environment. The custom activities are packaged as a sandbox solution and deployed on my Office 365 site. Everything works as expected.
I have now created a site with all the functionality I need, including some Site and List workflows - all of them containing my custom activities. I saved the site as a template - including content - and the process was completed successfully.
My problem is that when I try to create a site based on that template, I get the following error:

After a number of trials and errors, I am certain that this relates to my custom activities. i have already tested all of the following scenarios:
Delete the workflow with the custom actions: Site is created successfully.
Create a new workflow with no custom actions and save the site as a template:
Site is created successfully.
Save the site template including a workflow with my custom activities, but not including content:
Site is created successfully, but my workflow is not there.
Create a new custom workflow activities sandbox with one custom activity that just writes something to the history list - just to make sure that this is not related to any specific solution. Save the site as a template:
Site creation throws the same error.
Packaged my workflow (with my custom activities) as a wsp from SharePoint Designer and deployed it as a custom solution. Activated the feature in the target site. The workflow gets created and executing finally. Saved the site as template: Site
creation throws the same error.
Same as above, but without activating the feature in the target site: Site created successfully, workflow works fine after I activate the feature in the new site.
My custom activities feature is always enabled in the site I save as template - in all of the above scenarios.
I have tested all of the above scenarios both on SharePoint 2013 on-premise and Office 365. There is
a forum post regarding some inconsistencies in the wsp file, but unfortunately this is not my case. Am I doing something wrong? Are custom 2013 workflow activities not supported in site templates - which would not actually make any sense, as it would "break"
the fundamental concept of re-usability.
Any ideas/feedback/guidance?

Error with table 'DocMetaDefinition'.
The column 'dDecimalScale' does not exist in this table.
I am using 11.1.1.6 free version of webcenter content and using appropriate database with required tables created by RCU of appropriate version and also using required weblogic server.
Is there anything like , we are not allowed to use stand alone application in free version ? or problem is something else.

I have had a few virtual machines that built fine... one I’ve been using to test with works about 33% of the time and fails with the same error other times.
I have tweaked the RAM and the # of Virtual Procs and nothing seems to consistently fix it. Specifically I've disabled dynamic memory, set the RAM to 8GB and the number of procs to
