ES menu item missing - SMLT problem

We found an R/3 system where when loggend on in ES a lot of menu entries appears in EN.
Our suspect is that the ES language has been imported on the system where Support Packages were already applyed and customer mandant already created.
According Oss note 533888, in the SMLT scren it seems to us it's missing the execution of reporty STLAN_IMPORT_OCS and the execution of the steps on the customer mandant.
As attempt to solve the problem of teh ES menù itme missing, we are in progress to apply Oss Note 533888 , part B).
According that note we think to run report RSTLAN_IMPORT_OCS in client 000 (step 2) and repeat the EN supplement (step 3).
Then to do the steps 5) and 6) in all the custimer mandant where we need to logon in ES.
Our dubts are the followings:
1) we do not know if report RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC is mandatory or not. After the execution of the step above , when we will apply further support packages the ES language will be fixed as well, so it's not claer what the report RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC is supposed to do
2) we do not know if the language supplement with EN for the ES language can be repeated. We see it has been already performed in 000.
It's possible to repeat the language supplementation in client 000 more than one time for the same language ?

I believe the remote features only were available in later generations... Therefore I don't know if those editions know how to accept the watch/remote commands!

'Upgrade Photoshop Elements catalog' menu item missing

Hi,
I have been using PSE for many years and recently upgraded to PSE8 (and PRE8). In addition, I started playing with the LR3 Beta and realized that I wanted to migrate LR from PSE. I just bought LR3 and now want to import my PSE8 catalog into LR3. The Lightroom Help tells me that I should go to File - Upgrade Photoshop Elements Catalog (while in Library module), but this menu item is not showing up in my Lightroom... Is my LR3 not detecting my PSE8 catalog installation? How can I fix this?
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, there is no doubt that the conversion of PSE12 catalogs has been omitted. It's not the first time : I also had to wait for LR4 to be able to convert PSE11 files. We may hope that Adobe will acknowledge the fact, and possibly solve the problem for future versions of PSE.
Of course, it's not a priority for Adobe: the ability to convert PSE catalogs is mainly a sales argument to make the jump from the PSE Organizer to LR easier. Not so many cases, and anyway you can always write metadata to files in PSE and import later in LR. After the jump to LR, you rarely have more PSE catalogs to convert.
However, maintaining misleading update notes by Adobe is not a good point in favour of LR. I do consider that the ability for LR to convert PSE catalog was and still is a very smart demonstration of the ability to deal with database organizational systems. I also consider that once that conversion process is mastered, the update process for each new Elements version is not such a big deal.

Podcast Menu Item Missing in 3.0

Hi, I just updated my Apple Tv to 3.0 and Synched Podcasts and Itunes U media to it, but there is no podcast menu item on the main menu. I rebooted apple tv, but still no podcast menu item. I use the Custom Sync option. Anyone have any idea how to get podcasts to show up?

Well, I bit the bullet and did a factory reset on the apple tv. Then upgraded to 3.0 again and got the poscast menu item. Ten hours later, after re-synching all my media, I am back in business.

1st Gen Movie Menu Items Missing

I have a first generation Apple TV. However, recently I am unable to purchase Movies, TV shows etc because the Menu Items to do so no longer appear. There are main menus for Movies, TV shows etc but there are no sub-menus beneath them to puchase a movie or watch trailers etc. I have switched the Apple TV on and off, logged out and back into my iTunes and WiFi account, done a complete factory reset of the Apple TV and reconnected to iTunes on my MacBook but still the Menu options to purchase movies etc have not reappeared. iTunes on my Macbook syncs perfectly with the Apple TV and I can watch movies that have been synced, I just cannot buy or view movies/TV shows etc because the option to do so are not on the respective menus. Very frustrating. Any help appreciated.

[SOLVED]Xfce menu items missing

Some of my applications that should be in the menu are not there. There are some that I have forgotten about, but one I have missing is flightgear. Sometimes gl-117 shows up in the menu, but sometimes not and never in the games section. Wine does not show up either. Could someone please tell me how to get all the items up. Thanks.

"Check for Updates..." menu item missing Acrobat 9 Mac

Trying a clean install of Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac on a clean Mac OS X.8.3 Mountain Lion. It take the serial number without issue after launching, but in the Help Menu there is no, "Check for Updates..." item.
Installed and logged in as a local admin. The only alternative way to update the software is to go to the products update page at:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh
To download and manually install in succession TWENTY updates to get from v. 9.0 to v. 9.5.4. This shouldn't be this difficult. I bet the Adobe Chat Customer Service that I'd be able to download and install all TWENTY updates before anyone on this forum could provide me with a solution.

If you can not download the updates from the help menu any more, then for the MAC the updates are available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh. Generally you have to install these updates in order. It is simplest to download the latest first and work back to see if any can be skipped. Once the product hits end of life (and I think AA9 is there), the only updates that are provided are for critical security updates. For instance there has not been an update for AA 8 since Sept 2011. Since the releases are about every 2 years, it is indeed the end-of-life time in the cycle for AA 9 based on the history of the products. The upgrade may be worth it at some time, particularly as your OS or word processor or such change over time. Since the MAC version does not have PDF Maker (as I understand it), the upgrades may not be as critical for you as for PC folks working with newer versions of MS OFFICE -- who have gotten used to those features.

Soundtrack Menu Items Missing...?

With the exception of the Apple logo (which is itself unresponsive to a click), there are NO menu entries across the top of my Soundtrack 1.5 application window. Keyboard commands provide their limited help, but all the other, normal commands are unavailable because the line is blank (at least across to the other icons like Bluetooth, Spaces, etc. which operate normally).
Is this a known Soundtrack problem?

Well, it's been known to me since I upgraded to Leopard. The same situation exists in LiveType, only you see the menu names - they don't function, though. I upgraded my Mac to a 2.66 dual core, hoping that would solve the problem, then purchased and installed v4 of FCE. Still, no solution. At one point, Apple techs told me to set up a new User and fire the programs up from there. That worked while I was on the phone to him, but a week later I tried to save a file and the program wouldn't allow me to save the document. The tech had said that "there's some file on your computer that these programs doesn't like, and you'll probably never find it." Great...

Adobe Reader Security Settings menu item missing

On a user PC, under Adobe Reader XI (11.0.2), I am not finding the Security Setting Menu option. I searched for this, and I found out that it must be under "Edit/Protection".

Also, I found another issue.
After I managed to create the Signature using Windows Certificate Option, I tried to take a backup from the certificate store from Internet Options -> Content -> Certificate -> Export, then I am unable to export the Private Key. Only the public key option is available, and the other option "Yes, export the Private key" is dimmed or disabled.
Is this also new feature of Adobe Reader XI?
I am 100% sure that in other installations on another PC, after I create the Windows Certificate of the Digital Signature from Adobe Reader Security Settings, then I can take a backup of this certificate from Internet Options and I can select this option "Yes, export the Private key" during export of the certificate.
Appreciate your feedback on this matter.

CK-200 Audio qualiy, missing menu items and softwa...

Hi all. First post and all that jazz.
Wonder if anyone can assist with several issues I'm having with a CK-200. to list them:
Audio quality. This is perhaps the worst problem. I can hear the person I'm talking to quite clearly, (ISO version on decent car speakers) but the background noise reported by the other person is really really bad. Whilst my car isn't the quietest in the world (LandRover Discovery) it's certainly not loud, but everyone has commented that they can barely hear me when I'm at motorway speeds. Does the external microphone help remove background noise much? I certainly hope so, as at the moment I have to be at 40mph or below to be heard properly. I've tried calling someone else driving my car, and sure enough it sounds like the microphone is in the engine bay, and the person I'm talking to is in the boot!
Second: When I first got the kit, it appeared to understand that one of my phones (E90) was not compatible with downloading the address book, and so it didn't try, but if I made a few calls the kit remembered the numbers called. After "updating" the software a few months ago, it now constantly tries to download the address book, fails, and if I try to do a "last number redial" it tells me that it can't download the address book.
Lastly... (and has been mentioned in another thread) There appears to be a number of menu items missing, most noticeably the option to read a received text message. The icon appears to tell me I have a new text, but there's absolutely nothing I can do about it!
Shame, as it's a nice car kit, and the two-phone-connectivity is excellent, but I really must address these issues!
Any and all assistance gratefully received!

PS. as a sidenote, where can I actually buy a CA-134 for this kit from? I know it's the cable I need, but I can't actually find one for sale anywhere!

Little confused by the download issues. The CK-200 can download your contacts as one aspect but also your call history (calls made/missed/received etc) as another.
The contacts (address book) download certainly seems to stop dead when you set auto to off on all version and handsets I have tried. On recent software versions Nokia introduced the automatic download of call history, as far as I know this cannot be disabled - I would quite like to be able to as I don't really need it and it delays the initial connection before you can make a call. But anyway it sounds like its this thats giving you trouble. It may be down to some setting in your phone you can make to deny it permission to cooperate with the CK-200. Anyway see how it goes with V.3 first of course. (can't be long now )

Why does my Desktop Mouse freeze (moves erratically) when selecting menu items in PSE13 Editor?

It seems that my computer with 8GB of memory may not be enough to use PSE13. The Organizer menu works fine when I select menu items. The problem is when I switch to the Editor. My mouse starts to freeze, move fast, or too slow. It is difficult to select
a menu item in this situation.

Unusual. In theory PSE13 should be better as it's a 64 bit application.
Can you try re-setting the prefs then close and re-launch the Editor. First you need to go to:
Edit >> Preferences >> General
Then click the button shown on the image below.

Trouble with Arrays of Menus and Menu Items

Okay the short story is I am designing a GUI for an application, it has a lot of menus, and a lot of menu items per menu.
I thought like in normal Java I could simply make an array of Menus and several arrays of menu items. My problem is that it compiles fine, but spews tons of exceptions. I am using Netbeans as my IDE.
Here is a sample of my code. Its not the whole thing, but its the part that I suspect has problems since it worked before I switched to doing them as arrays.

I am not really sure what to do. I would like some recommendations.
If possible I would still like to use arrays of Menus and Menu Items, but if its not possible, I would like to know and understand why not.

I apologize if I don't fully understand. I am still kind new to this. But It was my understanding that .jar file was made after compiling not before. I am not really sure what you mean by class path. Could you give an example. Again this code worked wonderfully before I used arrays. If I comment it out and replace it with dummy code like this it compiles and runs just fine.

Menu bar items missing

Hi, i got a problem with the Sap Easy Access, if i login with language EN i can't see the menu items "System" nor "Help" (not visible), but if i login with other language, for instance "PT" those menu items are available.
Anyone got any ideia to justify this behaviour?

Missing preferences, tool bars, menu items after receiving CS3 file while I have CS2

I have Indesign CS2. I rec'd a CS3 file not knowing it was CS3. A message appeared as follows:
Cannot Open. Please upgrade your plugins to the latest versions, or upgrade to the latest edition of Indesign.
I went into HELP, Configure plugins. Chose "all" and "required" plugins. I then clicked ok and it said "All plugins available when you restart application" and it still wouldn't open. Then I was sent an exchange version of the same file and it still wouldn't open. I received this message:
Cannot open. InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing or the file may be open in another application.
After this I wasn't able to get my CS2 screen back the way it was before. There's no introduction when I open the program, my tool bars aren't present, and the menu items aren't as extensive as they were before.
It was then suggested I reinstall Cs2. I logged in under the administrator. CS2 was different than the way I had it before but the tool bars were present. I then logged in under my name and there are still problems;no tool bars, missing menu items, no intro, etc.
I then tried rebuilding my preferences using these instructions;
The fastest way to do this for InDesign CS2 (and any CS2 program) is to quit the program, then hold down Command-Option-Shift-Control immediately after starting it up again, and keep those keys held down. (On Windows, hold down Control-Alt-Shift.)
If you mashed on those keys quickly enough, youll get an alert when the splash screen appears offering to Delete InDesign Preferences File?. Click Yes, but dont release the modifier keys while you do so, because youre going to get a second alert to which you should also click Yes.
Now you can release the keys and InDesign will complete the boot-up process with fresh, clean Preferences.
Nothing happened so my program is still missing preferences, menu items and toolbars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, you need to realize that resetting preferences will put them back to ground zero, not the way they were the last time you were happy.
You can try the key combination again and see if you are any faster (we're talking near instantaneous) or you can open your user profile, show hidden files and folders and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 4.0 and rename the two files InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData.
In your case, a better first option, I think, would be to try System Restore which you'll find in System Tools under the Programs > Accessories heading on the start menu. Go back to the first restore point before you tried to open the file, if you can.
In any case, for you to open a CS3 .inx file you will need to be fully patched the the last CS2 update, and you should expect to see some text reflow issues, as well as missing any CS3 features that the author used which aren't supported in CS2.
