Essbase Errors in the log and applications crashing - 11.1.2.0 and 11.1.2.1

We recently started installing a new DEV, CERT and Prod environment. We installed 11.1.2.0 in Dev and then 11.1.2.1 in Cert and Prod. In all three environments we are getting error messages in our essbase logs...“Essbase Error 1042017 - Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay” We have done all the usual changes to the config file by changing the netretrycount and netdelay settings, however the problem still persists. We are only working with developed applications in Dev, and there it causes those applications to stop. In Cert and Prod, only the sample apps are loaded, but again we get these errors in our logs. Since it spans multiple environments it seems that this is some thing with our environment, but not sure what that would be. Any thoughts?

    RDBMS version 11.1.0.7.0
    OS RHEL 5.4
    All of a sudden I am not able to access my R12 system.It shows me 500 Internal server error.
    I am not able to connect to database from client either.(SQLPLUS or any other tools hangs while trying to connect to DB)
    Although I can connect to database from server.

    I tried to bounce the system.
    When I executed ./adstpall.sh it took a long time (about 15 mins) and exited with status 1.
    You are running adstpall.sh version 120.10
    adstpall.sh: Database connection could not be established. Either the database is down or the APPS credentials supplied are wrong.
    USAGE: adstpall.sh <appsusername/appspassword>
    adstpall.sh: exiting with status 1
    But I check from server that the database is up and running.
    Please help asap

    I do not any ORA-12518 or TNS-12518 errors in the log file entries you posted above. However, please see (ORA-00610 And/Or "unable to spawn jobq slave process " And/Or "Process(<>) creation failed" In The Alert Log And/Or TNS-12518/ TNS-12500 In Listener Log [ID 416244.1]).

  • Photoshop CS3 "There was an error initializing the adobe help application..."

    So, I just installed CS3 and I went to the photoshop help (F1) and an error pops up that says "There was an error initializing the adobe help application. You may need to reinstall the application and the help component.". I have uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop multiple times, I have also used "WinCS3Clean" to clean it out and the same thing happens. Would anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    What are your system language settings, in which language do you install and in which language do you run Photoshop? If there's a mismatch, Help will not launch even if it sits somewhere on the disc. In any case, you can find all help files online at http://livedocs.adobe.com, often with updated info and user comments.

  • Import Fails, No Error in the Logs

    I am trying to do a full export and import, including SSO, SEC, CAs and Pages, but not all pages import, only the first few pages actually import.
    No error in the log files.
    Any guidance as to what I should be looking for to see where it fails?

    Click on the hard drive on the desktop, then File > Get Info. What does it say about permissions?  If this is just a data drive you may want to consider "ignore ownership on this volume".
    Otherwise I can only say I have not been reading good things about Seagate drives recently.  I have some of their rock-solid ones from about 10 years ago (still running well), but now...?

    OK, OSX can read that but not write, but...
    A few options...
    You could format that HDD as Fat32/MS-DOS, but you'd be limited to 4 GB Filesizes.

    Media and apps are not part of the backup. They need to be re-synced from your itunes library or re-downloaded from the store.

    How could I fix these?
    And could these errors have an influence on the following ( I have installed Application Server and Database Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.2.0 on the same machine)?
    * I can run DB on its own fine.
    * I can run AppServer on its own fine.
    * If I start DB and then start the AppServer:
    - I can use DB ok but not the AppServer. Error when I log into the Enterprise Manager.
    * If I start AppServer and then DB:
    - I can use AppServer but DB does not start cleanly.

    You are going to have to provide more information...
    The only time I ever encountered this was when I went to do a service call on someone with a loose connection on the plug right in the back of his iMac. Not every time but often when he wiggled the screen to adjust it he moved the power bar and / or power cable just enough to momentarily break contact.
    We plugged everything in securely and the problem never recurred...
    If yours is shutting down & restarting because of a power circuit fault there must be a problem with it that should be looked at.

    You didn't have enough battery power left when performing the update, and it died? That's bad.
    You should be able to reinstall OS X using OS X Recovery or in the case of an older MacBook Air running Snow Leopard, by using your original System Install DVD and Remote Install OS X from another Mac.
    Reinstalling OS X does not erase your user accounts or data.

  • Snow leopard logs out and applications crashing

    I replaced hard drive in macbook and decided good time to upgrade to snow leopard.  well now with clean install on new hard drive snow leopard randomly logs me out and i get a blue screen flash then end up on log in. it does it on regular log in and safe mode. It also does it with aftermarket 4g of ram and apple 1g of ram that came with macbook. Also before it logs out if im in safari it keeps reloading the page almost everytime i touch the track pad
    any help would be appreciated.

    Solved.
    Hardware test said everything was good. I ended up using imac at home to make bootable usb drive of snow leopard. installed that and got same results. finally someone suggested redoing partition since i did original partition on the superdrive in macbook. New partition, clean install and everyting working great
