Ever since downloading and opening Firefox 4 beta, when I try to launch 3.6.8, I get an error message saying that Firefox is already running; it is not. I have removed 4.0 beta from the computer, but don't know where else to look for any bits and pieces.

I need to restart the computer in order to launch FF 3.6.8. Also, in Dreamweaver CS5, I have defined FF 3.6.8 as my default browser, but when I try to view a page in FF, I get the same message that FF is already running. Where else do I need to look to find hidden files that are causing this?

Did you uninstall the Firefox 4.0 beta version ?
If you did then did you remove the personal data or otherwise removed to Firefox profile folder ?
Make sure that you still have a (default) Firefox profile folder.<br />

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376 it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck!

It sounds like your iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to not copy photos during import, i.e. a Referenced library:
Check your Advanced preferences to see if that's the case. If it is the best solution would be to select the checkbox to copy the photos and reimport the photos from the flash drive. Then check the new import. It it was OK you can delete the previous event with the "missing" photos.

If it is asking for the screen-lock passcode then:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) Or maybe it was they had me transfer a folder to the EHD. I don't exactally remember it was a few years back. But I tried to plug in the EHD before starting and...nothing. It would have saved to your camera roll. Connect the phone to your Air via a USB cable and then run Image Capture which is located either in your Utilities folder or Other folder, depending on what version of Mac OS X your are running. You will then see all the photos and videos stored on your iPhone and can then download them.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.
