Ever since I upgraded to firefox 5, a site that required flash player doesn't work - it worked with the older version
A site that worked on your old version doesn't work anymore. When I go to the page it says to download a plugin, but then it comes up with "no suitable plugins were found." I believe the site requires flash player. I have reinstalled it and it works with other programs that require it.
I wasn't able to get to any of those sites without having serious hanging issues. I just uninstalled Flash, rebooted, then reinstalled it. Everything seems to be working fine now.

I'm having trouble visiting sites or pages that require Flash Player, Firefox will just freeze when they're partially loaded and it will stay frozen until I close Firefox. This will happen with any page that uses flash player. I can disable it, but then I can't access the content which requires Flash Player, have to use a different browser and I'd rather just use Firefox.

I play Zuma Blitz on FB; Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 4 I can't play the game the darn frog pauses before shooting and it's a mess; you know it's what I enjoy doing and it needs to be fixed can you help me with this??? Both my wife and I have iPhone 5 and we use Siri a lot. Ever since we upgraded to IOS 7 we found that frequently we get a reply from Siri something like "This is embarrassing but I cannot handle a request right now". Prior to IOS 7 this did not happen.
tonefox is probably right. Server overload. I also notice that when siri does respond correctly, it is slower. My wife has a 4s and same story, and she has not upgraded to IOS 7.

Specifically, I am trying to open brokerage statements with Charles Schwab. I go to the link using Firefox and click and all I get is a blank box with ABOUT: BLANK in the header at the top. Yet, I had no trouble viewing the statements with the older version of Firefox and I also have no problem viewing the document using Internet Explorer. Any help you can offer is appreciated. I would rather continue to use Firefox as my browser and not have to use IE.

I have not been able to use my digitalPersona v4.11.3826 (fingerprint login) since I downloaded firefox 4.0.1. Will this be incorporated to the add-ons or if not, can you tell me what the easiest way is to go back to using the older version of Firefox?

I have a Mac OS 10.4.11. I had a glitch while I was trying to register to a new WordPress and that site sent me to Firefox and told me to download. Before checking compatibility with my operating system, I download and put it in my applications folder. When I tried to open Firefox, I got a message saying 4.0.1 wasn't compatible with my computer.

In the old version of Firefox I could save all my open tabs when I shutdown Firefox but now with the new version it does not give me that option to save the tabs before closing Firefox.
You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.

I cannot access billpay from my homebanking website ever since I upgraded my firefox browser.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

Ever since I upgraded to firefox 3.6.15 the pages are loading extremely slowly, why?
I use a MacBook pro - about a year old and I have OS 10.6.6 installed. Ever since you pushed firefox 3.6.15 to me the pages are very slow in loading. Is it a cache problem? A second visit to the same page loads faster. sometimes it is slower than others and I don't know why. I have done a speed check on uploads and downloads and all seems to be fine.
I can get the photos to display in 3 columns if I do this:

In the Fonts & Colors section, click the Advanced... button.
Change '''Minimum Font Size''' to '''None''' and OK out of Options.
But most people are not going to do that. I prefer a minimum font size of at least 10.
So... how to fix it. The way the thumbnails are sized is that they are 10em with a base font size of 5px. If the minimum size is set to 10px, the pictures double in height and width.
It would make more sense if the base font size in your stylesheet was larger. Can you edit it? If so, try doubling the font size and halving the relative image size:

I think that will be more broadly compatible. There may well be some details I've missed, but hopefully this helps.
I don't know why the minimum font size wasn't applied this way in Firefox 3.6, but I suspect this is the new normal. -
I don't know if upgrading to 5 would help.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I have never been so upset with an application! I swore by Firefox before but now I might just go back to Safari. I'm not willing to ge into the innards of 2 computers to try and fix things. I just want to revert to the last 3 series Firefox I had before downloading Firefox 4.

Marc-AndréSnow Leopard breaks quite a few drivers - my Canon exhibited the same problem.
I eventually found updated drivers on the Canon website. You can try that with the HP, but if the all-in-one is more than a year or so old, don't hold your breath.
You can also try Software Update to see if it will offer new drivers, or failing that go to the Support Downloads site and search for HP updates.
In fact there's a new one for HP at the top of the list just now.
You may not necessarily want the latest one, though - check the specs to see if your model is covered; if not, search for the previous update etc. -

I cant get my bluetooth to pair with any of my devices. In fact it cannot pikc any bluetootch devices at all. This issue has been in place since I upgrades my softwareHey ergjam! I actually found a solution. Just follow this tutorial and it should work. On the PC's with Window's 8, where it mentions the whole iTunes Library.itl (I believe) it popped up as a song icon beside it with another file name. I took a chance and deleted that file and it was the correct file to delete, if that makes any sense. Is there a way to disable Firefox from telling me that Adobe Flash Player is out of date?
We run a program that does not allow students to update programs or make any other changes. The problem is, Firefox thinks that we HAVE to update Flash Player every time there is a new release. This is just not feasible with as many computers as we support. 99% of the time, the update is not necessary.
They do have ESR version for Win/Mac at https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html where it is mainly security/stability fixes.

Just like with Flash 16.0 the 13.0 ESR gets security and stability updates as Adobe was trying to fix critical exploits proven in wild as to why there were five updates in a short time. https://helpx.adobe.com/security.html#flashplayer
ESR means it is a version supported for a longer period of time compared to the main version at time. The first Flash 16.0 I believe was 16.0.0.235 released early December 2014.
