I don't want everything added or saved in the location bar. Only urls that I used a lot used to be saved there but now every single url (and url within a url)I visit is being added to it.
How can I stop this? This just started happening.
I'm sure it's a simple browser setting but I've checked and nothing gives an option to control this.

A possibility is to open the links via the right-click context menu or a middle-click in a new tab to make sure that Firefox sees them as regular links.

Every time I restart my mac air some applications like calendar and Microsoft word automatically starts, how can I stop such applications from starting when ever I restart my mac?
One thing to check: when shutting down or restarting, there is a checkbox in the shutdown/restart dialog which asks whether you want currently open applications to open at startup.

Every time I go to touch an app on my iphone 4 it goes straight into wobble mode, as if I want to delete or move it. How can I stop this. Look at source and look for image by clicking on <img src="..."- says it can't find image.
Also Firefox does not follow the CSS standard as the others do.
Current OS is windows XPThe pictures appear OK for me.
With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see the [[site identity button]] article) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.
The encoding for the site is set to "UTF- 8" rather than "UTF-8" -
Every time I turn on my Imac my itunes opens as I have set up to but a window pops up asking me to sign in with my itunes password , is there a way to stop this as it's quite annoying .

Since the last update for "numbers", everytime I open numbers I get a notice that a font is missing. I don't care that it's missing and I would like to not see that message. How can I get rid of it?
A document you had open at the time you quit Numbers has a font that you do not have (probably Calibri). You can change the font to one you have OR close the file before you quit Numbers. Numbers will open files you had open when you quit.

Drop down menu within a form doesnt work.
I use an online database in which i need to upload pictures and answer questions all within a form. When i go to pick an option from a drop down menu within a form, the form doesn't go down and i cant make any choices. any way to fix this?

One potential cause of this is an unwanted extension. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

Whenever I ask Siri a question it just links me to a website instead of just saying the answer. The reason I ask Siri is because i am not in a position to look at my phone. How can I get Siri to just answer my questions??
I found that the only time Siri will read anything to you is if it finds a Wikipedia article. Siri will let you know it found that, and ask if you want it to be read out loud. Other than that you will hear the "I found this, take a look".
The only other thing you can do is activate "Speak Screen". It will involve you taking a look at your phone for a moment, selecting what you'd like to look at, but Siri will read the content to you. It's in Settings > General > Accessibility. Once activated, all you have to do is slide two fingers from the top of the screen and you will have it read to you. I use it all the time because of my astigmatism. It's pretty useful. -

Just so you don't miss important information about Adblock Plus, be aware that it does nothing by itself -- it needs filters. Be sure to install the "EasyList (US)" filter subscription.

Drop down menu missing in every website
Any drop-down menu on website works "fine" but the render was wrong.
When clicked, nothing could be shown but only the drop-back shadow.
It just like the menu become total transparent.
PS: any white colored firefox menu, "New tab""Print""Developer", has the same problem.
Everything will be all right in safe mode,tried to disabled all addons/plugins,reseted setings,be do not help at all.
PS2: Changing theme could fix this problemDisabling hardware acceleration did indeed fix the problem, thanks! Unfortunately, I'm on a Thinkpad and Lenovo is very slow at getting the latest driver updates out. I too have the latest available driver.
This is still an issue Mozilla should try to resolve if folks like me and Mike are on the newest available drivers for our systems.
