Downloaded new iOS for iPhone 5. I tried to install up date 3.6.13 and received error message that I didn't have the system permissions required to install it. I am the administrator on my Mac Book Air? Any ideas how to resolve this?

Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device. Once this is done test the results. If the issue persists, I have included a couple troubleshooting articles that I would recommend going through.

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

When launching Illustrator on Mac OSX 10.9 I get an error that the program is no longer supported on PowerPC. I tried moving the plug-ins to a different folder as the Adobe site suggested but no luck. Any ideas how to get this launched again? Same issue for Photoshop and InDesign
You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

If you change the folder of photos to be transferred under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, the previously selected folder of photos will be deleted from your iPhone.
Create a parent folder on your computer and place the folders of photos you want transferred to your iPhone in the parent folder. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. To add another folder of photos, place the folder of photos in the parent folder followed by a sync. To remove a folder of photos from your iPhone, move the folder out of the parent folder on your computer followed by a sync. -

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. Hello everyone. I downoaded PES 2012 for my iPhone (3GS) the I unlocked it by paying EUR 4.99. Yesterday I upgraded my iPhone with OS5 and restored all apps purchased from iTunes. It works everything except for PES 2012 because was restored the application locked. Now If I wish play the game I need to unlock again the application and consequently I have to spent again 4.99 EURO!! How can I do to unlock the application without paying again money?

We just bought a used ipod generation 3 and we are trying to download some games and every game requires the update of 4.3. and ours is at 4.2.1 but it tells us it is up to date and how are you able to get this version?
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
