I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.

Well, the problem isn't the back up because I already have a backup saved that I can restore from, I honestly don't know how, but I do, and it has all my apps. The problem is restoring it. I keep getting the "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod "King". A duplicate file name was specified. With my 3G iPod touch, I did not have it named as "King". I had it as another name. I don't know if that helps, but as I said before, Backup-wise I'm okay for now. Restore-wise I'm not.
NOTE: Reinstalling iTunes doesn't help.

So the Mac you have did you buy it new or used?
If you bought it used you have to contact Apple and have it removed from the original owners name and Apple ID and then register it under your Apple ID.
The iLife apps on newer Mac computers, ones that came with Lion or newer version of OS X , are now tied to the Apple ID of the original owner. No other Apple ID and password can be used to do any updates on them or Re-Download them if you wipe the drive. That is until you have that Mac's serial number removed from the origiinal owners Apple ID.

But, every time I try to "sync" my ipod with my computer now, it keeps downloading her music onto my i-pod, even though her tunes are NOT checked. The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps

Seriously, you can't run a Mac with only 85 MB of free hard drive space. It's not quite as bad as KBs, but it's still dismall.

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

PSE 10 Keeps freezing EVERY TIME I try to open it.

I have a less than 3 year old MacBook Pro running OS 10.8.3. I purchased elements 10 NEW in october 2012.
EVERY TIME I try to open elements 10 Editor, it freezes before I can do anything. I have looked in other discussions. Tried to restart from another thread I tried the following...

1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

For anyone else who stumbles upon this thread....
Took the computer to Apple Genius Bar. They found the problem. In the Applications folder>Utilities>Activity Monitor, open and select System Memory at the bottom. Sort by %CPU. Find the icons showing at the left of the list. The ones at the top take the most memory. If whatever you are working on works way too slowly, you may find something above it (or bouncing around-up and down-on the list that is causing the problem (Mail and FireFox in my case). Quit those applications and things should speed up or, in my case, not freeze.

I get 'Error 6' every time I try and open photoshop!

I purchased photoshop a little over a month ago. I functioned for about three weeks, and for the past week every time I try and open it I get a window that says 'licensing for the product has stopped working.........Error: 6'--I have attached it here for clarity.
I have had no luck getting through to customer service. I did find an article on adobe.come that led me through some steps to correct this issue, but they did not work.
It is so frustrating! Anyone have a solution? Thanks!

I have a similar problem.
I have a macbook pro with a 320gb internal disk and a 64gb solid state disk. i run the OS and apps off the SSD and keep my data on the spinning disk.
My system has been running well for months. it crashed today. i fixed permissions on all disks.
I can start photoshop CS4 when i boot off the internal disk, but i get "Error 6" when i boot off the SSD.
I have read a bunch of articles and tried some things that haven't worked.
I'm up for un-installing and re-installing if it will help.
