I was updating my phone when it somehow restarted everything, how do i retrieve all my lost apps, messages, photo's and basically everything else??

If you update the Windows software on your computer, there might be cases in which the computer is recognized as never been synced with by the phone. In that case syncing will erase the phone.

If you have no backup of your computer data and the iphone backup saved by iTunes, your data is gone.

Well, I struggled with setting up an iPod last year for my mother using my sister's laptop and had to figure out how to NOT sync my sister's music...my mother was not thrilled with her tastes
Once you have struggled through that you don't forget the pain.

Maybe you could try deleting the apps in iTunes on your compute and then sync the phone

Settings>General>Restrictions...are yours on? If so, deleting apps can be restricted here.
Also, you cannot delete any of the pre-installed apps, only third-party apps.

Calendar entries made, edited or deleted on my iphone are not pushing to my PC outlook calendar.

For some reason any calendar event or entry that I create, edit or delete on my Iphone 3GS is not pushing on to my PC Outlook calendar. When I check my calendar via the web at Icloud.com the entries I create, edit or delete on my Iphone are all correct.....but for some reason they don't seem to make it on to my Outlook calendar.
On the other hand, when I create, edit or delete an event on my PC Outlook calendar they do get pushed correctly on to my Iphone.....so it seems to only be working one way.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Workded for me as well. i had reset my phone and deleted my podcast app. i had to use itunes to reload podcast app. after it was installed i had to go into the podcast app and i deleted all my subcriptions i had in the libarary. after that the appstore started working again like normal. what darn headache apple cmon lol. fix this sht.

I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in. Bad news first and we hope for good news as well
The device is in Recovery Mode and the data has already been deleted, you need to restore the device with iTunes in order to get the iPhone back into a working state
When the iPhone is restored you can then restore it from your latest backup using iTunes or iCloud and regain some, if not all, of your data.
The good news part only happens if you had a backup.

Adding and deleting photos INDIVIDUALLY using iPhone 3GS

Is it possible to add (and then delete) photos from iPhoto onto iPhone 3GS INDIVIDUALLY?
I have all my photos filed neatly away in albums, but most of the time I don't want the entire album to be synced across to my iPhone....only the best photos. I need to keep what free memory space I have available.
I can't seem to even find an 'Edit' feature on the iPhone and I'm finding the whole thing to be very frustrating.
Can anyone provide any suggestions?? Thanks.

Only photos in the Camera Roll can be deleted. The rest of the photos got there by synching to your computer. You get them off the same way.

IPhone 3GS everything syncs except PC calendar events

iPhone 3GS v6.1.2; iTunes v11.0.1.12; PC Windows 7 & Outlook 2010. Sometime during my trip (HI > NV > TX > HI) my iPhone and Outlook calendar stopped syncing. Everything syncs except the calendar events; even the birthdays sync. I only have one PC calendar and one iPhone calendar. When I use the Advanced - Replace information on this iPhone - Calendar feature, the result is only Birthdays appear on my iPhone until I manually select the calendar under From My PC on the iPhone. It is as though iTunes isn't recognizing the iPhone calendar. Every test to add or delete an event from either the iPhone or PC calendar does not get sent to the other device. The usual iTunes sync error allowing me to select which event is correct never appears. Any and all ideas will be appreciated. I've spent several days reading through the various "sync" issues posts to no avail. I'm sure it is something I did incorrectly trying to resolve the issue but ...

IPhone 3GS app stuck installing - can't be deleted

I purchased a Tavelocity app for my iPad that requires iOS7. When I later went to use my 3GS iPhone (iOS v 6.1.6) I discovered that it was attempting to install the Travelocity app on the iPhone. It is now stuck in a "waiting" mode and cannot be deleted. When I press the Home button the app does not display an "X" to be deleted. When I connect to iTunes it shows the app in the right panes representing my iPhone, but not in the list to the left. Therefore, I cannot select it to be removed when I sync. I have searched the web for solutions but none have worked. Why would my iPhone 3GS attempt to install an app that requires iOS7 and what can I do to remove this app from my iPhone? Ever since this happened, my battery life has reduced significantly and if I attempt to do anything that requires a lot of power it crashes. Can someone please recommend a solution? I don't know if this is related to the problem I described above, but after downloading and installing updates to other apps from the App Store app, when I select to see the Purchased apps, it attempts to display them but is unable to do so. The list is blank.

Only photos taken by iPhone can be deleted normally, the ones synced via iTunes require a new photo sync.
Create a empty folder on your computer.
Connect device to iTunes.
Choose "sync photos".
Choose the empty folder you created.
Start sync.
Done.
