Everytime Firefox starts it says it will install an update and nothing happens

When I start FF, I get a message that an update is being installed, & FF will start in a moment. Then I get a grey screen with a link to learn more bout the update. When I click on it nothing happens. So I close it and FF starts in a few minutes. This happens with every start.

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.

If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version. 
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.
It is possible that your security software is using or locking files, so you can try to temporarily disable that software during the installation.

Windows 7 64Bit Says Connecting Majic Mouse ... and nothing happens.

I'm trying to connect my majic mouse to windows 7 under boot camp on my macbook pro and after I locate the majic mouse and click connect for the magic mouse nothing happens. Is there a work around for this problem. I have tried rebooting windows and some other basic stuff and nothing happens!

if you can see the mouse in the bluetooth setup window in windows 7 then click on the icon and select properties. then click on the hardware tab and click install hardware and drivers i think. that usually connects the mouse shortly after and will remember the connection the next time you boot into windows 7.

CS3 will not install, double click and nothing happens

I attempted to install CS3, it failed due to not enough RAM. I installed more RAM. Next when I attempted an install I got a Java Script error.I used the CS5 removal utility. Now when I attempt to install, nothing happens.

I am unable to upgrade Firefox. I have tried to download over mine and nothing happens. What to do?

I only use Firefox and it constantly pops up that I need to download the newer version. When I click on yes, it just sits, even for hours, with the green bar, nothing happening. I turn off the computer, after many hours, boot up again, still no upgrade. I have tried so many times. I have tried several times to start all over and download the Firefox 4 over my version of Firefox, it shows that it is downloading, and when I turn on my my computer again, I get the same pop up message that I need to really need to upgrade to Firefox 3.6 (or whatever it is), so it is not working. What do I do now? I am not a computer genius.

I would recommend to download the driver appropriate for your system from the Canon webiste or, after installing it, to run software update and it will detect it for you.
If you have the last driver appropriate for your system, you may wish to reset the printing system. To do this, go to Sys prefs/print and fax and, upon clicking minus button, also press Option/alt key. You will be asked to confirm, do it. Then, add the printer by pressing plus button, it should work now.
But, before doing this, download the last good driver, CDs usually contain outdated drivers.

When opening firefox, a banner saying downloading the latest applications appears but nothing happens.

Starting today, when I open Firefox a blue banner just under the toolbar pops up saying "Downloading the latest applications". Nothing is downloaded. I'm not sure if this is a function of Firefox or my default page Google. I tried to reload the latest version of Firefox and the problems persists.

If it is any consolation this started happening to me today. I am in Toronto. I am wondering if there is a copyright issue here. I have done nothing to solve it - mostly because I suspect this has nothing to do with my computer.

Restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. How you do this is when you hear the startup tone hold down the Shift Key until you see the progress bar appear. Let it fully boot, then open System Preferences - Startup Disk and ensure your internal HD is selected and then click Restart to test. If you still don't have luck you should run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode, you may need to run the test 2-3 times to report any errors. Hp smart web printing does not work on firefox. HP says this is not their problem and to contact Mozilla. Is there a plug in available?

I just bought a new hp printer. the software has a feature called HP web smart printing. The feature works on explorer but not on Firefox. HP says this is not their problem and suggested I contact Mozilla. Is an add on available and if not will one be made available.
I am using v. 3.6.13. and the printer is HP Officejet 4500.

HP smart web printing is an application that only works with IE. In spite of what HP have told you, if they want their application to work with Firefox they will need to make a version for Firefox. It is not down to Mozilla to make a version of the HP software for Firefox.

You have not closed the 'pubdate' tag - there should be a '>' as the 9th character. Because the tag has been left open, it invalidates everything which follows it, and thus the entire feed. iTunes therefore cannot read it, which is why the Store has not updated. Add the '>' and republish, and all should be well.
It's always worth checking your feed by subscribing manually, from the 'Advanced' menu, or by clicking the 'subscribe free' button on the Store page (both do the same thing) - if you can subscribe to the feed it should be OK.

Not always. I tried. Easier to reinstall Windows 7 over itself, activated fine. Or just do the legal thing and buy full copy. Mac Pro owners that want dual processor support need Pro or Ultimate (Enterprise also) rather than Home Premium.
I would NOT use Boot Camp 3.1, it causes problems for number of Mac Pro owners, though maybe not all so unclear what/why) but just stay with Boot Camp 3.0x from the Snow Leopard DVD (which can have trouble with AppleHFS)

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.

Did you try to charge it using the adapter or your computer?
