Everytime my 30g gets close to being full..it says i need to restore..
i have to set my ipod on manual because i dont have enough room on my computer for all of my music..so i have to put the music on my ipod and delete them from the computer. well. everytime my 30 gig is almost full (1gig of freespace or less)it eventually says i need to restore it, and it deletes everything off of my ipod. and i cant really afford a memory stick thingy..thats over 6000 songs deleted within 5 minutes after months of putting it back on. its done it about 6 times now. what do i do?

You have posted this in the iPod classic forum which you don't have. iPod classics are 80G or 160GB only, not 30GB. You probably have a 5th Generation iPod.
First you should not use your iPod as the only source of your music, it is not a backup device.
Perhaps you need to burn some DVD's of your music then you can restore it if you lose it again.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

My ipod was being updated, computer went on standby - now itunes says i need to restore it?! But i CANT loose my notes, what do i do?! Hw do i fix or repair/resore and get it all back - without loosing anything. Its 32GB, i will do anyhing to avoid loosing my data/notes (600+), and current appox 23000 pics (20000 loaded on computer)
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

I tried to update my iPhone 4S but I now keep getting an error saying I need to restore my phone before it can be used because it's in recovery mode! Anything that was on the phone is already gone. You have no choice but to restore. If you were backing up and syncing the phone on a regular basis, you should be able to restore your backup with minimal data loss.

When i tried to download iOS8 on my iPad Mini it told me that I needed to connect my iPad to iTunes, I have done that and now it says I need to restore my iPad. How can I get my iPad working without losing everything on my iPad? I don't want to lose my apps and photos!
Help would be much appreciated!If you are getting the connect to iTunes screen then it's too late to take a new backup and/or copy anything off it. Prior to starting the update did you take a backup, either to the cloud and/or to your computer's iTunes ? If not then have you recently taken a backup that might have your photos and apps content/settings in it ?
As long as the apps are still in your country's store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the App Store app (and the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes), and if the apps store their content on a server/cloud service then you might be able to get their content back from that - if they store their content on the device then you will need to have a backup.
For our photos you could try doing a search for programs that claim to be able to recover content from a device - I haven't used any so I can't suggest one. -
My iPod Touch 3Gen keeps saying I need to restore it. I have 7 times, and everytime it dies, I have to do it again. Also, last time I restored it, it wouldn't connect to my house's wifi, I reset it and it only worked for a minute. It worked fine before, then all of a sudden this stuff happened. It is a "refreshed" one. I broke my old one, but since I had a warranty I got a "refreshed" one. In the box they gave me a number to call if anything happened, but my brother threw it away. Do you think I could conact them, and if I can, does anyone know if the number on the card is the # here on the website?
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

New Computer and Now Everytime I Connect My iPhone It Says It Needs To Restore?
I got a new lap top at Christmas and successfully transferred my music and pictures via USB from my old computer to a new computer. I successfully synced my phone to my lap top (I can't remember if it went into restore mode the first time I connected it). Now whenever I connect my phone to iTunes, it says it does not recognize the phone and it needs to restore to factory settings. I have authorized my computer so I don't believe that's the problem but I can't figure what else to do. I keep having to back up my phone everytime I connect it to my computer because it causes me to lose everything if I don't.

As an iPhone user myself, I know it must be very much a problem to have the phone out of service because of an error such as you are seeing. Let's see if we can get you back up and running.

Mi I Pod shows me that I need to plug it in to I Tunes. When I do I get a pop up stating that I need to enter my passcode in order to do so. Unfornuately my I pod Touch won't give the option to do so. Any suggestions anyone?
You will need to restore the device. You will also need to put the device in Recovery Mode.

I have Win Vista. After I upgraded Firefox to 8.0 a window is popping up and continually saying Firefox needs the computer to restart to finalize installation. I've done the restart when prompted - the next time I start up the computer it does it again, same message.
Just went down this road. Bought two new iPhones last week, one is having this same problem. No help from the store, no help from apple. Re-setting, re-booting, updating, all did nothing. Time to move away from apple. When you have to go through as much as we did to try to solve such a very simple issue, after paying so much money, it's definitely time to try a different product. Apple charges a fortune, yet they provide the same ridiculous service as everyone else. Why get hosed?

You need to follow the instructions in this article that best apply to your situation:

If you do not have a backup in either iCloud or iTunes, then you will have no way to retain the information on your device because you will have to restore it in order to access it again.

Please help, I an unable to update any apps on my ipad through the App Store. It will not connect. Also, I am no longer able to log in to bingo bash app and my towers app will not connect either. If I restore my ipad will that fix the problem and if so, will my apps return to levels I am currently on? Ex. Level 346 in candy crush or will I have to start it all over? It worked fine until we left a week ago for vacation and would not work on hotel wifi. Did not work when we returned home.

I downloaded the new IOS software update today and now my 4s is stuck on the "connect to iTunes" icon on the screen. When I connect it, it says my cell needs to be restored to factory settings. They will be gone from the iphone, but you should be syning all contacts to your computer regularly and should be importing all pics to your computer regularly, particularly before any update.

Try restarting your router by removing power to it for 30 seconds. This may correct the problem.

How can i get iPhoto to open if it says i need to use a new version?
When I try to open IPhoto it says "You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto." I have been through the discussion lists and have seen other people having the same issues. They were told to dump the preferences file, and to rebuild a new library. Neither of these seem to work for me. Can anybody help?
