Excel integration for importing of data
Hi all,
I'm currently looking at a way of testing the funcionality of forms by importing a range of input data.
The data is being collated in an Excel spreadsheet. Does anyone know a way of integrating forms with the spreadsheet to populate the specified fields?

I think i got my error. I have to say 'import database dimensions from data_file........' instead of 'import database data from data_file............'. I dont know how to delete this post so i am not deleting it.

Roland MC500 into logic - setting tempo for imported midi data
My mate has an Roland MC500, where he's programmed multi-tracked midi info for songs etc, and we've sussed how to import the channels into separate regions in logic.
We've set the tempo as per the tempo on the MC500, but after importing the track, after a certain length of time the tempo goes out of sync. All the midi data has come across, and when assigning soft-synths etc it plays fine, but just moves out of tempo.
Is there a way that, when you have imported midi data in this way, you can ask logic to confirm/set the tempo?
I've had a read thru the manuals etc, but may have missed where it describes that bit?

you need to set the MC500 to send the MMC over its MIDI outs... than in Logic you must set th sync "Blue button"
the picture shows MTC but if you scroll down the menu you will find MMC settings... that must be turned ON on Logic settings Synchronization.
Logic must be setted as Slave... because Roland device is the slower one!

Error while importing configuratio data of stellent 7.5.1 in OCS 10gR3
Hi,
I am upgrading Stellent 7.5.1 to Oracle Content Server 10gR3. On Stellent 7.5.1 I created a Template i.e. wwCmuExport and then explicitly selected Aliases, Security Groups, Roles & Personalization Data from Content Server Section. While importing it on 10gR3 it just hangs at Roles dependencies check and always gets the following error:

Error reading binder 'C:/Oracle/ucm/cmu/idc/bundles/user-roles-stellent_file-11-20090826T190001/roles/' File 'C:\Oracle\ucm\cmu\idc\bundles\user-roles-stellent_file-11-20090826T190001\roles' does not exist.On stellent 7.5.1 there are roles,groups tc. I even tried taking a full export of everything but it always fail at the Roles dependencies check. Any idea what might be the issue or which log file to look at. As I have external LDAP providers defined on Stellent 7.5.1 but on 10gR3 I did not define those yet and just am trying to import the configuration data etc. Are there any pre-reqs for importing nfiguration data that LDAPproviders etc shouldbethre. Don't know if the roles thing have to do anything with the providers not yet being defined on 10gR3. Any help is appreciated.

From the 7.5.1 machine can you open a command prompt and then telnet to the 10gR3 instance on port 4444? If you do that and you just get a hung response that means it connected. If you attempt and you get denied right away then you have kind of firewall/network stuff to work out.

About the exporting and importing xml data file in the pdf form
Hi all,
I need help for importing xml data file in the pdf form. When I write some thing in the text field with fill color and typeface (font) and exported xml data using email button. When I imported that xml file in the same pdf file that is used for exporting the xml data then all the data are shown in the control but not color and font typeface. Anyone has suggestion for solving this problem. Please help me for solving this problem.

As a professional news and sports photographer I cannot use Aperture for this problem alone. I live and die by my captions and if a photo isn't captioned, or incorrectly captioned, it might as well not exist at all. Fixing the IPTC import problem is No 1 priority for me.
As it is at the moment only half of the caption (description) comes in and some fields are missing entirely. This is only with RAW files, JPEG files import perfectly.
Whilst we wait for this issue to be resolved (and PLEASE can it be soon!) is there anyway of working with the IPTC from the JPEG?
If I shoot RAW and JPEG together can Aperture show both the RAW and the JPEG side by side so that I can lift from JPEG and stamp the RAW with the IPTC data? Even better, can something be written into Aperture where I can select all the RAW & JPEG images and just select a command saying 'copy IPTC data from RAW to JPEG'? This would be a very helpful temporary workaround.
Finally, and I've put this in the feedback, can we have a much bigger window for IPTC data entry? Personally I would like a pop-up window similar to PhotoMechanic, and I'd like to be able to save my caption so that the next time I import images I can just selected the saved caption instead of going through all the fields setting it up again.
For Aperture to be used as a DAM for my huge library I need the IPTC to be fully featured.

It worked fine for me when i import Relationship Data of Type Parent/Child either using Data Manager or using Import Manager.
But the Problem is that if i create relationship of Type Sibling say relationship name "Related_Item" then during Import using Import Manager this "Related_Item" relationship is not enabled when i select into Destination Table. So how to enable this as it is enabled for Parent/Child relationship during Import Manager.
So, i m able to import relationships of Type Parent/Child when created into relationship table of MDM Console. But Relationship of Type Sibling Created in MDM console is not imported using MDM Import Manager but sucessfully exported and imported Relationship of Type Sibling using MDM Data Manager.
So, Could you please check and tell how to import this Relationship of Type Sibling when created into Relationship table of MDM Console using MDM Import Manager.

How can I import UDOs data in earlier 2007 versions (before PL46)

I made an UIAPI AddOn that has several u201CChoose from listu201D (CFLs) and is working fine, In order to use CFLs I had to make an UDO.
Mi problem is that my customer has SAP B1 PL42 and in this version the Data Transfer (DTW) cannot import UDOs data (this feature supposed to be available in the SP01PL06 version) and the DIAPI has no support to add UDOs rows (this feature is available from PL46).
My question is, ¿How the old AddOns (PL42 and olders) that have CFLs did to import its data?, ¿How can I import UDOs data in PL42?

Unfortunately, there was no supported method for importing UDO data in versions prior to PL 46. The only option is to use the UDO form itself, within the SBO client, to load data. I have previously used the B1 Test Tools utility to load UDO data (which takes control of the UI so using it doesn't bypass SAP"s support rules) but it does take a bit of work to set up and you can't control the test tools through code.
SAP don't allow the direct use of SQL statements on system tables. As all UDOs use system tables to some degree (ie ONNM etc), you can't use SQL statements to load data without breaching SAP's support rules and risking loss of support for your system.

Excel integration with Entry and Approval for SSM not working
Iu2019m having trouble getting excel integrated with E&A for being able to enter large number of historic data points into a cube-built model u2013 Iu2019ve gone through all the docs several times and there is no good concrete explanation on how to do this. I keep getting the following error message:
Error opening Excel Automation server can't create object. This can be caused by:
1. - The application is not installed on your machine
2. - The browser security does not support ActiveX scripts.
3. - Your were prompted to run ActiveX and you said No, if that is the cause close all browser instances and reopen.
However, I've done the following:
- Iu2019ve installed the excel add-in on both the server and my local machine, and Iu2019ve enabled the add-in part in Excel on my local machine.
- The browser security is definitely set to accept all active X scripts
- I am never prompted to run activeX when I select u201CHistorical Datau201D within entry/approval. I just get the above error message.
- Iu2019ve flushed cache and restarted listener several times.
What am I missing? I donu2019t see it in any of the docs.

Looking at what you've done, there doesn't seem to be an obvious answer. The best suggestion I can make is to fill out a support ticket on this. There must be other factors at work here that will require a deeper look.

SriniYou can connect to Oracle from Excel directly. I know you can read data but am not sure if you can export data.
Other option is to import the data into Access.

Character problem in toad import table data from excel
Hi everybody,
I want to import data from an excel file to an Oracle table, so I'm using Toad's "Import Table Data" tool for this purpose.
The problem is Oracle doesn't import non-english characters properly.
My database is XE and character set is 'AL32UTF8'.
I searched web, but didn't find the solution.

Character encoding of Excel causes the problem.
I exported an unicode encoded csv file from excel and tried to load data from that file. It worked.

I am trying to import a PDF file from my desktop PC in to Excel using XI Pro. When the data imports in to excel, the majority of the data is vertical along the far left comumn instead of horizonal along the colums such as name, address, etc. I need to be able to import the data in to the horizonal categories so I can categorize the data after it is in excel. I'm sorry to hear that your file didn't convert well for you. Can you please tell me more about the PDF that you're trying to convert? Do you know how it was created? The quality of a conversion depends on the quality of the PDF, and it sounds like the file you have may not include the tagging information that is required to convert that properly into an Excel file. I had a large database of my songs on MS Access which included the following info for each song: Title(Name), Artist and Date. The Date was the mm/dd/yy which the song first entered the Top 40 according to Billboard (from one of their reference books).
I have imported all my music into iTunes and while I am satisfied with the automatic entry of Name & Artist during the rip, I would like to find a way to copy or enter the Top 40 Date for each song. I'd like to create playlists sorted by the Top 40 Date.
Is it possible to add this info - hopefully in a scripted way?
The only solution I can see is to enter a date in "yyyy-mm-dd" format into an unoccupied field such as "Sort Show" which is found under the SORTING Tab when you do a "Get Info" (ctrl-I) on a song. This requires entering the date for each song manually which in my case is prohibitive since I have over 2000 songs.
Are there any scripts, apps or suggestions that simplify the process? Any easy way to import the data?Hi,
1) getting date from Excel:
What format does the date have?
Are you able to convert the value to the Date Type ?
2) putting into the SBO form:
Are you filling it into the DataSource, or just typing it as a String into the EditText?
These are the basic questions, you have to ask yourself.
1)
For example: there is a difference when accessing the Excell Cells(x,y).Value and the Cells(x,y).Text
.Value is usually in Date_Variable format, but the Text is formated to for example MM-DD-YYYY format.
Perhaps you're not able to convert the MM-DD-YYYY into the date variable, thus you will have to change the "MM-DD-YYYY" into the "DD.MM.YYYY" format so you can put it somewhere.
2)
Same problem is with the insertion of date into the SBO, when filling the EditText.String, you will have to convert it into the date, according to the SBO settings ... for example: "MM.DD.YYYY"
There is also the SBObob object, which has the "Format_StringToDate" method, which will convert the string, into the format for DataSource...

Importing Live Data from Onedrive for Business
I have a number of excel spreadsheets sitting in one drive for business. These spreadsheets are updated on a daily basis by a number of people (all using excel online).
What I need to do is bring this data from the individual spreadsheets into one place so that I can create a dashboard that updates in real time based on the data in the individual sheets. I understand that it is not possible to create this directly using
excel (i.e. excel to excel). And that is probably not ideal anyway as the relationships will not be linear.
So, I am trying to find the best way to do this. Would it be best to create an access database for each of the excel sheets? Or can I import the data from the various excel sheets to a database, and then create the dashboard from the database?
Is anybody able to help me with the best and easiest way to do this?
