Excel row height changes when it should not change

I have a client using Office 2010 on a Citrix server. They are using Windows XP Pro SP3 for the desktop and the server is running Windows Server 2003 R2 STD.
I have two users working in a spreadsheet in Excel 2010. The spreadsheet opens fine and they can perform their updates by either adding manually or doing a cut and paste. The problem comes up when all of the sudden a number of rows in the spreadsheet
change height for not reason. The spreadheet has the row height set to 14.5 but for some reason the rows that change height sent the height to 405.9. Usually all the user has to do is go back and reset the row height on these cells and save before they can
go back to making changes.
It's more annoying then anything else so if someone could provide any solutions, it would be greatly apppreciated.

I have been working with Excel for 20years, and have been hit with this resizing of row height and also drawings or shapes, after opening an old XL97-2003 file.
Chad's method below works!
Please try the following to resolve the issue:
1. Boot Excel 2010
2. Open [Excel Options] dialog. ([File]-[Options])
3. Select [Advanced] tab, turn on [Cut, copy and sort inserted objects with their parent cells] option. (In [Cut, copy and paste] section)
*This will not resize rows that are currently set to 409.5 but I would like to know if this keeps rows from doing this in the future.
1) I found that after opening the workbooks the row height and shapes are correct.
2) Save the file, then save as to the new .xlsx format (for a macro free workbook)
3) After reverting to former; turn OFF[Cut, copy and sort inserted objects with their parent cells] option. (In [Cut, copy and paste] section), and then opening the XL97-2003 files, the fault is still there. For the newer xlsx files, though,
the fault has gone.
4) So yes, Chad, it does keep rows from doing this in future, if the newer file format is used. Thanks.

Default Activity changing when it should not

We have a problem where if I use a general task list with 2 operations and both have a seperate activity type assigned, when creating a new SM order we pull the Tasklist into the order but we change the default work centre, this change in default work centre causes the default activity type on the first operation to change to the same default activity type as the one on the second operation which is undesired.
However it is inconsistent when this happens has anyone seen this before or does anyone know if there is an OSS creection for this problem, although I suspect it may be data setup related.

How to set an Excel row height to 0

Using the Office Web API how would one set an Excel row height to 0 or other number?
I would think this is possible since I am able to narrow the row height using a mouse in the same way one does on the Excel client.

What do you mean by "Office Web API"? I assume you mean the "JaveScript API for Office". If so, I'm afarid the current Office Javascript API did not provide the method to set the height of a cell.

Schedule lines should not change 3 weeks time from MRP date

Hi
Is there any specific customisation required to get following results in case of schedule lines.
1) MRP should not change/adjust the already send delivery schedule lines which are lying within 3 weeks time from MRP date
2) System should not allow to book the GRN unless the messages / print out has been generated from the system in case of scheduling agreement.

Hi,
There are 2 possibilities:
1. use MRP fixing using planning time fences, this is done by putting the relevant settings in the MRP1 view of the material master
2. use the firming options of the scheduling agreement, these are set per material number that is entered in the scheduling agreement.
The GR can only be posted for schedule lines that have been processed aka output generated.

If an entirely new Apple ID, all apps include DRM protection that is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. You will need to use the former Apple ID and password to update apps that were downloaded with that Apple ID if an entirely new Apple ID was created.

PR should not change after PO generation

Dear gurus,
when i create a PR from cj20n/cn22 with qty and rate and do the PO against that PR. Having created PO against the PR system is allowing us change the data in the PR(like Qty, Rate..etc.).but the requirement in my project once the PR is converted into PO system should not allow us to do any changes in the PR. please help us in controlling this.

This can not be control by user exit. You have to take Abaper's help to disble the screen qty for modify from enhancement provided by SAP in ecc 6.0. If you have lower version then original screen has to be modified taking sap key for modification

Change of password when i did not change it.

I recieved an e-mail this morning saying my password change was successful. I did not change my password.
The E-mail did not ask for any information nor did it provide a link. So i logged onto my Apple ID account, and changed all passwords, and security questions then added the two step security option.
My question is should i report this to Apple and if so how. The only option is phone call, but i'd rather just report it via message/e-mail and let Apple deal with it. Also which forum is more appropriate. I cannot find a forum so chose this one to post the question.

Many developers when they updated their apps fro the newer iOSs dropped support for the older iOSs. That included Skype and other developers. Unless you have a copy of the apps version that was compatible with your iPod/iOS you are out of luck. Do you cave such a copy in a computer file backup??

Firefighter Configuration - FF Owner should not change the configuration

Hello Experts,
We have requirement to restrict Firefighter configuration changes only to Firefighter Administrators.
1. Restricting Firefighters to make any changes in Firefighter Configuration -- SAP Note 1101665 Superuser Security Role Modifies Tables - Successfully Achieved.
2. Restricting Firefighter ID Owners (having /VIRSA/Z_VFAT_ID_OWNER) to make any changes in Firefighter Configuration --> Need your inputs on how to achieve this.
We want that Firefighter ID Owners can only assign the FFID to Firefighters and assign a new controller only, but no following should be allowed to Firefighter Owners -->
a. Creating a new owner for a FFID.
b. Changing Firefighter configuration.
c. Creating or changing Reason Codes.
And which role should be assigned to Firefighter ID Controller?

My observations are, if you assign Firefighter Owner and Controller role only, then user is not able to make any configuration change, Reason Code change, etc, etc - behaviour is as expected.
And in our case, this problem is coming as FF owners/controllers have been assignbed few other roles/profiles which seems to override the authorisations of FF owner role and allow changes in FF configuration.
Now searching through each of these roles/profiles for extra set of authorisation objects is a huge security job.
And we don't have much experience in Security - so as per your experiences what should be the best way to restrict FF owners to not make any change in FF configurations, without removing existing roles/profiles ( as we don't know what all would be removed if we remove all of these roles).
Is it possible to specify a condition/check so that if a user has been assigned FF owner role, inspite of whatever extra permission he has - he should not be able to make configuration changes - please bear with me if i am expecting too much over here.
Which authorisation objects controls FF configurations changes?

Firefox automatically adds port number in address bar when it should not.

I work for an ISP company that regularly sets up routers for customer locations. One of the things that I have to change on it is to set the management port to 8080. For instance 192.168.0.1:8080. Once I try to setup a new router Firefox automatically assumes that I want to go to the same 8080 port and automatically enters it in for me. Since the new router has not been setup with 8080 yet I can not get in. So basically I would like to see if I can stop Firefox from automatically entering this bit of information in. It is very annoying and even more annoying that I have to use a different browser to make the changes since Firefox can not. I did find a similar fix posted when Firefox automatically enters in ".www" but that did not fix my problem.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

When Matching Users Via Email, Changing Email Address Does Not Change Login

Well, the subject pretty much says it all, but here're some examples of what's going on:
Initial Data
- Create 2 Business Partners in SAP, C1 and C2.
- Create 2 Contact Employees in SAP, Adam with email adam at eden.org in C1 and Eve with no email in C2.
Synch
- Run Initial Synch followed by Standard Synch (for good measure).
- Web Tools gets user Adam with username adam at eden.org.
- Web Tools gets user Eve with username 2, the unique key for SAP's Contact Employee.
Data Change In SAP
- Adam's email is removed.
- Eve's email is populated with eve at eden.org.
Resynch
- Run Standard Synch.
- Web Tools changes both email addresses, with Adam's being erased and Eve's becoming eve at eden.org.
- Web Tools does not change the UserID, leaving Adam's as adam at eden.org and Eve's as 2.
That last bullet is the big problem: if a user changes an email address, the username doesn't change. Is there any way to change this across the board, or perhaps even force users to login via their current email address?

Also, there is a field in the Users table called EmailLogin. I have tried without success to change this field so that the user would use this field to login instead of the UserID, but have been unsuccessful in getting it to work.
As an alternative, the login control in /plugins/loginblock.ascx contains, as a portion, the following code:

Again, the benefit to this is that you can synch using the Internal B1 Contact Code, which will remain constant and unique, and have the availability to change the way the user logs in by modifying the email address. Of course, email addresses would have to remain unique as well, but that's an easy enough thing to check for.

Default Logic Script, Appears to Run when It should not

Hello Experts,
I need help with something. When using a Logic Script within the Default Logic in BPC, It runs everytime data is submitted. I have one logic script that copies a "Full-year" value input to each month. See below. So WHEN AuditTrail CC_FY is changed, it copies the value divided by 12 to each month and Audittrail CC. This works correctly. However, an issue came up that when a user wants to change the monthly Value, it defaults back to the value written by the CC_FY Logic Script. I think the Logic script is running again after the user makes a change. Below is the Logic Script and some other screen shots.

For Example, I enter $12,000 into December, CC_FY, it puts $1,000 into each month for CC correctly
So then I try to Change January to $250, Save Data
The Value then Returns to $1000. I think its because the CC_FY.LGF is running again, but it shouldn't because there was no Change to the CC_FY AuditTrail Dimension. On the Backend, you can see the changes, and also the reversal of the change, leaving the starting amount $1000.
What am I missing?! Thank you for any input.

Changing cell padding does not change margin

The text in the cell of an existing table is clearly indented from the cell border. However, the cell padding is set to 0. When I change the cell padding to 10, 50, or any other number, the text margin does not change.
I am trying to create another table. The text in the new table is flush left. Whatever I set the cell padding to, the text margin does not change.
The documentation indicates that the only way to change the cell margins is to change cell padding. Obviously that does not work. How do I change the cell padding?

Can you please anwser couple of queries to nail down the issue?
1) Please let us know the Contribute Version and OS you are using.
2) Is this happening with a particular page?
3) Can you try creating a new blank page, insert a table and modify the Cell Padding value.Check whether it is getting reflected and also verify the cell padding parameter is added in the code.
4) Previously if it worked and broken suddently, please try clearing the Contribute preference. Refer to the blog post, blogs.adobe.com/contribute/2011/11/launch-contribute-freshly-by-deleting-preferences.html

Event times changed when daylight savings time changed - that's just wrong!

My events that were scheduled for certain times all were changed one hour back, when DST changed. Why should that happen? An event that is scheduled for 8:15 should still be 8:15, however, it automatically got moved to 7:15, as did all my other scheduled events.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Well if you are syncing they should both be set the same way. Try turning it on on the Mac and see if the events go back to their correct times.
