Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7 - additionals mailboxes does not refresh automatically

On Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7 , my additionals mailboxes does not refresh automatically (Outlook 2010 up-to-date).
i need to perform "send/receive" and "update the folder" to get the mail.
Primary mailbox is running correctly and new mails are displayed .

Based on the description, you added additional mailboxes from Outlook, but messges sent to these additional mailboxes didn't show until you tried the option "update the folder".
How many additional mailboxes did you add?
Did this issue affect all users?
If possible, please remove these additional mailboxes and then re-add them. I recommend you add one additional mailbox first to check if the issue occurs. Then you can add another additional mailbox to check result.

Yes, Windows Server 2008 SP2 is supported on Exchange Server 2010 SP3. Windows 7 SP1 is only supported for Exchange management tools, not for Exchange server.

Exchange 2010 SP3 maximum journal mailbox size for performance

Does anyone know if there is a limit mailbox
size near 01 terabyte than
above it generates performance problems?
We have a journaling mailbox that
reached today 1.077 GB and
from there began the process very

All (4) Exchange Hub Trasnport that try to connect to this store get an 4.32 store drive error. A new
journal mailbox was created in the same

Base on my knowledge, journaling mailbox as the same as any other mailbox, the maximum size depends on the data to be stored in the mailbox, the hardware resources available, and the disaster recovery requirements
for the server where the journaling mailbox is located.
If you configure journaling mailboxes without storage quotas, monitor the Mailbox server to ensure that it doesn't exceed the available hardware resources or disaster recovery capabilities.

BO XIR3.1 CMC does not refresh automatically

Inside CMC, there are various rights set to different groups (for e.g. the rights for "Administrators" are different from the rights of "Everyone"). When I click on one of the folders and check their user security, the other folder shows the same rights as of the first one. It doesn't change automatically to the rights of the next folder. I guess it has to do with automatic refresh.
I have noticed that CMC does not refresh pages properly. For example, I was checking the Access Rights set on a Public Folder, it shows all rights are granted for "Administrators". But, when I switch to "Everyone", it still shows all rights are granted, which is incorrect because they should be Unassigned.
I have to log off CMC, clear the cache/cookies in web browser and then Login again in order to see the correct settings.
That means, every time after I view the settings for an object, I have log out, clear cache, and re-login. Otherwise I will see incorrect information for the next one. Changing and configuring User Security settings is even a bigger challenge because I am not sure whether the values displayed on the screen are correct and what will the system remember.

Windows Explorer Does Not Refresh Automatically (Needs F5) AND Takes A Long Long Time To Make New File

In Windows 7, it will go into this state where it won't update folders automatically, and I have to hit F5, as well, if I go for example, New->Text Document - it will hang the desktop and take like 3-4 minutes before coming back and showing the file.
It is like something is preventing or slowing down the refresh of windows explorer.
It happens about once a day, sometimes I reboot to see if I can get it to go away.

This kind of issue can be caused by several reasons, such as third party program, out-dated drivers.
To troubleshoot this issue, please perform the following steps:
1. Update BIOS and device drivers to the latest version.
2. If any security program is installed (anti-virus, firewall), please temporarily disable it
3. Test it in Clean Boot mode.
4. Reset Folder option:

1. Click the Start button, type Folder Options in the Start Search box and press Enter.
2. Click View tab.
3. Click Reset folders.
4. Click Apply, click OK.
5. If it does not work, try a new account:
Create a new user account

1. Click the Start Button, type User Accounts in the start search pane and press Enter.
2. Click Manage user accounts.
3. Click Create a new account, and type the name.
4. Choose account type as Computer administrator.
5. Click Create Account.
6. Log off and log on with the new account.

Exchange 2010 (SP3 - withn SBS2011) OWA seach not working

I know such issues have been reported many times in the past, but I haven't found any report for SP3 (which actually thought would resolve this for good).
I had the same problem repeatedly with SP1, with SP2, with various rollups, I have tried the various vix solutions (re-touching AD schema, rebuilding the indexes etc.) and indeed they fix the problem... for a while.
Or until the next update.
Can someone help me reach a more stable solution?
Or is it a common issue that Microsoft actually cannot solve for good???
Right now I have the problem (again) after installing SP3. So I am open to all proposals.

'Drafts' mailbox does not appear automatically

I am a new user of the Mail app. I have asked a similar question in another category of these Discussions, but have not had a useful answer, so I am trying here.
If I start typing a new e-mail message and then 'Save' it, a 'Drafts' mailbox almost never appears until I go to the Mailbox tab and select 'Go to favorite mailbox > Drafts'. Just once or twice, but apparently at random, a Drafts mailbox has appeared spontabneously, but very rarely. Why is this? Shoul;d it not appear spontaneously?
This behaviour (or non-behaviour) seems to be independent of whether I choose 'Store messages on server' or not in Mail Prefetences.

Thanks for your quick reply, Matt Clinton. I have three mail accounts: Btinternet (IMAP), gmail (Google IMAP) and the mail account of the college where I teach (Exchange). It is the BT one that I almost always use.
Neither gmail nor my college account has a Drafts folder, Btiinternet, however, has many folders, one of which is called Draft (without the 's' at the end). I have tried ctrl-clicking it, but there is no 'Use Mailbox For' there. All there is in that menu is New Mailbox, Rename Mailbox, Delete Mailbox, Export Mailbox, Erase deleted items, Synchronize Btinternet, Take Btinternet offlinw, Edit "Btinternet" and Get Account Information.
What can I do now?

My email is very slow and does not refresh automatically.

My Yahoo and Gmail accounts on my iPhone are very slow. They do no refresh automatically and I often have to restart the wireless to push emails out. I thought it might be the email provider but it happens with both accounts.

Try these basic troubleshooting steps and see if any of them help.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Exchange 2010 SP3 CU7 Index / Search not Indexing / no result

I Have Problemes with an Exchange 2010 Sp3 Ru7 Server. The SearchEngine does not index anything. No Database have index Data. When i went to OWA no Searchresult on Server.
I have start the resetsearchindex etc. The Microsoft-Exchange-Troubleshooters/Operational gives no error, Mailbox Repair also no error. When i start resetsearchindex the Folder in the Database Directory ist going delete an renew. Then he create 19Files but
nothing more happend.
i configure Perfmon to see activity. There i see that under MSFTESQL-ExchangeCatalog the Counter ""Batches completed w/errors 1800"
After few hours an error in Eventlog came.

Here are some suggestions, please try these to check result.
Please check to see if you are using a 3rd party disk defragmenter. If you are using this type of software, stop all the 3rd party defragmentation services temporarily.
Please check to see if the CatalogData folder is being scanned by file-level antivirus OR on-demand antivirus. If it is, reconfigure both file-level and on-demand antivirus, so it is not scanning the CatalogData folder.
Please turn up logging to expert for MSExchange Search Indexer\Configuration and MSExchange Search Indexer\General.
Please rebuild search catalog and check if event 110 is logged in the application log. Event 110 means the full crawl is completed successfully.

Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 7 not showing right version

I have installed Rollup 7. I can see it in programs installed / updates
but when I check the version number via the shell or console it show the number corresponding to sp3 no rollups
tried to re install rollup7, but it fails

There is:
Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 SP2,
and Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 SP1
But, as far as I know, there is no Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010
SP3 yet.

That's correct Idan. Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7 is the latest - released in August this year:

Just like in Exchange 2003 & 2007 only service packs increment the version # you see in the management console and shell. Check the exsetup file as mentioned in the first post Idan linked.

Exchange 2010 SP3 RU8

I am trying to rollback Exchange 2010 SP3 RU8. When I uninstall the update the installer asks for exchangeserver.msi for Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7. I downloaded RU7 from the Microsoft website. It did not accept it as the correct msi. I ran the Exchange 2010
SP3 RU7 update I download and it comes up as RU8. I need the exchangeserver.msi from Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7. Thank you for your help.

Transport service does not start automatically after upgrade to exchange 2010 SP2 from Exchange 2010 SP1

I am trying to upgrade Exchange 2010 SP2 from SP1, but Transport service does not start automatically.
Tried manually start services, it started successfully but again goes down within few seconds automatically.
Reboot server. but no luck.
Any help.

Hi,
I recommend you use event viewer to check if there are any relate event logs. This may help us to find the cause.
In addition, as Amit mentioned, Exchange 2010 SP2 isn't supported by Microsoft, I think upgrading to SP3 is a much more sensible approach.

SME 6.1 works fine, but is not compatible with SnapDrive 7.1.1 (causes verifications to fail because server can't mount clone) and lower SnapDrive versions are not compatible with Ontap 8.2.3. Outlook 2013 Category view not updating after Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3

After updating to Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3 last night, users who use categories view in Outlook 2013 are complaining that the view does not update. The alert is received in the notification area and the unread message count next to Inbox updates appropriately.
The view can be force updated by switching between All and Unread, by using Reset View, or closing and opening Outlook. It seems anything that forces a 'redraw' of the view will update it - except for the actual reception of email. I easily replicated
this issue. For reference:
Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3
Windows 7 x64 Ent
Outlook 2013 (15.0.4551.1004) 32-bit
I do see that SP3 RU4 has been released, however the only change listed is a security patch.

This has been a known issue for a very long time – we have people at our workplace that are very disappointed since a feature as great as categorizing email (not using tasks) has become broken and has not even been considered to be fixed for
over half a year. It was not fixed in the updates for Patch Tuesday this week.
I would like to confirm that this is an issue with Outlook 2010 and 2013 when running the latest Exchange 2010 and there is NO FIX
– I have scoured the internet for a solution – all proposed "textbook" solutions do not work and I am positive that the issue can be recreated; however, everyone from Microsoft does not mention trying to recreate the issue at all.
The workaround of creating a rule to send new emails to a category could break other pre-existing rules and cause more frustration and wasted time for users/IT before and after the issue is fixed.
Please fix this issue sooner than later, as the Categories view is completely broken and unusable at this point in time.
