Exchange rate for PO documents

Friends,
We have created an import PO with currency EUR.  We have not given any conversion rate in PO.  System is picking some conversion value in INR.  From where it is getting convered.  I have checked OB08. There is no such EUR to INR conversion rate for exchange rate type M.
Where can i check alternatively.

Hi Deepak,
Why INR to EURO to be checked.  My PO is in EUR and company code currency is INR.  In that case we have to see EUR to INR.  Is it correct.
Actually while going through i found the conversion maintained as below:
Ex. rate type EURX
From currency INR
To currency  EUR
Rate maintained in indirect quotation.
My doubt is why the type is EURX instead M.
From currency to currency is EUR to INR, WHY INR to EUR
Why it has maintained in indirect quotation instead of Direct quotation.

  • Exchange rate for controlling document.

    Hi,
We have 3 currencies in total, 1 local  2 other currencies in USD. During posting system automatically converts local currency amount into USD based on exchange rate available. suppose if this USD amount is manually changed during posting and posted, controlling document (cost center document) is still considering the exchange rate available in system and not manually changed amount. This is leading difference between FI and CO in USD amount where as Local curr amount matches. I checked all the controlling settings.. versions etc to avoid this, but couldnt succeed. Can some one advise if this is standard behavour ? can this be changed by some customisation ?
    thanks

    HI
Yes this is the way SAP works.  You need to reconcile with local currency . However if you want to reconcile with other currency too , you can use the same rate which is being used for transfer of the data into CO. You may have Audit issue in such case , however currency re valuation will take care this aspect too .

  • Which table field stored the exchange rate for controlling documents?

    Hi,
May i know which table field stores the exchange rate used for a controlling document?

    Hi,
The exchange rate is not specifically stored in CO. In table COEP, the data in transaction currency, object currency and controlling Area currency is stored. You can derive the exchange rate from here.

  • Exchange Rate for planned delivery cost

    Hi
In one PO ( Document type NB with item category std) exchange rate for planned delivery charges ( Condition type FRC1) is calculated considering base date as document date of PO.( Exchange Rate is not fixed) while doing Goods Receipt
In other  PO ( Document type NB with item category L -subcontracting ) exchange rate for planned delivery charges ( Condition type FRB1) is calculated considering base date as posting  date of GR.( Exchange Rate is not fixed)
    Can anyone tell why ?

    Dear Murugan
I wish to  putforth the below check for you to solve the issue.
You told that Intially while creating the PO, your supply vendor and freight vendors are different, please check did you enter the vendor code in the freight item condition details. If yes then you have two invoicing parties for the PO.
Now you also told that, you have carried out MIGO for the PO line item which which has Freight also as an additional condition type.  That means for the PO line item your GR have been completed or partly done. If you have done this then how did you change the freight vendor in PO after GR for the item , system does not allow that as you have already carried out the the GRN.
To avoid all such cases of freight vendor change, the best solution is to change the vendor before GRN itself and assign the right vendor in the item condition of the PO,then proceed forthe GRN.
For your case please cancell the GRN also since you have already cancelled the Invoice.
Assign the right Freignt vendor , then proceed for MIGO. Once done In MIRO go for invoice and select goods/service items from the selection menu and process it for the supply vendor.
Then again you can go for MIRO and select planned delivery cost from the drop down and process it.
The above can be done combined also and in any sequence also , there are no holds upon that.

  • Exchange rate according to document date

    Hello all,
We are creating PO and then Goods receipt. I need to change exchange rate according to document date while creating Goods Reiceipt. We have done few customizing changes for this. Translation date has been updated with the document date but exchange rate is still derived from posting date. My new translation date is ignored for exchange rate derivation. If Where should be a problem?
I looked into note 619330 for this issue. If someone has implemented this note already for this issue, could you please let me know whether this note will solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Priya

  • Exchange Rate in Billing Document and FI document differ

    Hi,
We're facing an issue with the exchange rates b/w 2 currencies in the FI document. While the billing document shows one exchange rate for the item (based on pricing date of invoice) , the FI document shows a different exchange rate(latest date in 0B08).
As a result the local currencies in the two documents differ.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
Please chcek the EXCHANGE RATE TYPE in the COPY CONTROL from Delivery to Billing in the transaction code VTFL at item level
Change the EXCHANGE RATE type to DETERMINE THE EXCHANGE RATE BASED ON CURRENT DATE, then it will determine the EXCHANGE RATE in the Billing document based on the OB08 settings.
After making these changes the accounting document and the Billing will show the same value.
Please revert back if you need further details.
    thanks,

  • BADI exchange rate according to document date instead of posting date

    Hello,
I am looking for a BADI that will enable us to change the exchange rate according to document date instead of posting date.
This change is needed for documents of travel expenses.
I tried to use substitution but it didn't work for documents created in Tcode PRRW.
    Thank you,
    Dan

    Friend,
Try to use Field exit functionality.
You can create field exit for Translation date(WWERT). While currency converstion this date only taken as base.
Technically you can pass Doc.Date(BLDAT) value to Translation date.
Or in Substituton(GGB1) also for the header "Transaltion date = Docu.Date".
I hope it serves your purpose.

  • Manual exchange rate for F-03 account clearing

I want to enter a manual exchange rate during F-03 account clearing instead of the system proposed rate. how can i do that?

    Hi,
F-03 is for clearing already posted items.  I am not sure why you want to specify an exchange rate.  The document already posted with an exchange rate will be cleared here.  If you want to clear 2 already posted items, you cant specify any exchange rates.  If you cleared in a currency other than LC then, exchange rate loss/gain will be posted for the difference in LC.
If you are entering any 1 line item manually, then also you can't specify the exchange rate, but still you can specify the amount in local currency as well.

  • Why Exchange rate of accounting document different than sales order?

    Dear Gurus,
    In sales order;
    Exchange rate used as "B".
    In VF01-Items-exchange rate also B.
But accounting document is posted as  Currency type M.
I don t want accounting doc as M. It should be B as in order or invoice.
    How can I fix it?

    Dear Fsmehmet ,
System by default will check exchange rate for accounting by considering M irrespective of the exchange rate type maintained in the customer master.
I hope B in your case refers to the exchange rate type maintained in the customer master.
Please follow the below SAP note.
    SAP Note 22781
    Solution is as follows.
Make a copy of routine 007 in the copy control and write your logic to fetch KNVV-KURST of the Sold-to-party
The input this KURST in TCURR table and fetch the latest value.
Assign this new routine in copy control between your delivery and invoice.
    This will surely work.
Check and revert back if you have any issues.

  • Exchange rate on approved document

    Dear experts,
I have a scenario where while i raise a marketing document like Purchase Order. My exchange rate on the table is 1 Dollar = 81 KSH. When i raise a purchase order i change the exchange rate on the document to 80. If this document goes for approval the exchange rate picks from the table but if it doesnt it remains as 80. Does anyone has a reason why this could be the case cause i should be able to edit the my document to a different exchange rate and maintain that on the document. please advice
    Regards,

    Hi,
What B1 version are you using ? I am afraid it could be bugs.
Log a message to SAP support. They can provide solution for that.
Other cause is the approval document is performed in the day after document created. However, it should not change the rate. You could also read the ees pdf file on exchange rate from SAP AG

  • Exchange rate in billing document

    Hi,
I am facing issue in determining the exchange rate in billing document.  During billing document creation, system is picking the exchange rate based on the item level exchange rate.  This exchange rate is determining based on the pricing date but this pricing date in billing document is equal to the sales order pricing date.  But my requirement is to determine exchange rate based on the billing date.
I done the following settings -
    1. Maintained the exchange rates in exchange rate table
    2. Defined copy control between delivery to billing and in that maintained pricing exchange rate settings as
C Exchange rate determination according to billing date
But still system is determining the exchange rate based on Condition Pricing date which is copied from the sales order (sales order pricing date is equal to billing pricing date).
Please help, how to make pricing date as today's date or billing date
    Regards
    Goutham

    Hi,
u can achive though copy controls vtfl u go to there item level u find exchange rate type 'C' Pricing date will based on billing date.
    Best regards,

  • PO exchange rate in GRN document

    Hi All
Without maintaining the exchangerate in Table(ob08), i want flow the PO exchange rate in MIGO document.
that is my (GRN) documents should update with PO exchange rate. System should not pick(exchange rate from table).
Can any one tell me how can i do?
    Regards
    M S K

    Hi
As per standard the PO exchange rate gets automatically determined based on the values maintained in Configuration OBO8.
If you want the GRN to be based on a fixed exchange rate then you can flag the exchange rate fixed indicator in the PO header tab Delivery/ Invoice.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Exchange rate for FI postings in Billing

    Dear Experts,
Can Exchange rate for FI postings in Billing be determinated by the Pricing date instead of the billing date when we create it?
    Br
    Sophie

    Hi Sophie,
When you create a sales order, the exchange rate is determined only based on the pricing date and not based on the billing date. This is the standard SAP behaviour. You can enable different dates for these and maintain different exchange rates in OB08 to confirm this.
When you create an invoice for such a sales order, two cases can work
If there is no redetermination of pricing, then the exchange rate from SO will just be copied to invoice. The exchange rate will be redetermined only either if there is new pricing or when there is redetermination of exchange rate. Even in this case, the exchange rate is determined only based on the pricing date, not based on billing date. You can confirm this if you maintain two different dates and maintain different exchange rates for these dates.
So what you are asking is already there in system. You only have to reorganise your master data and configuration accordingly for the functionality to take effect.

  • Foreign Exchange rate for INR to EURO

    Hello,
I want to maintain Exchange rate for INR to EURO.
What exchange rate type "m", "EURX" or "EURX" is relevant for the conversion of INR to EURO.
How to maintain direct & indirect rate for the same ? I understand that system is not accepting rates maintained in "Direct Quote" coloumn.
    Thanks & Rgds
    Dwijendra

    Dear Venkatesh,
For exchange rate from INR to EURO, system will not take rates maintained under exchange rate type "m". It only considers exchange rate type "EURX".
    Hope I am clear.

  • How system calculate Exchange Rate for material?

I have some doubt how system calculate exchange rate for material when doing GR.
For example, standard price of material is 0.01 USD per ea. PO is created in foreign currency (THB) with qty: 40,000 ea (THB 2,852.00)
Actually when I do GR ea then accounting doc is:
Dr. Inventory 400 USD (12,800 THB)
       Cr. GR/IR    88.64- USD (2,852.00- THB)
Cr. Variant 311.36- USD (9,948.00- THB)
for 2nd and 3rd line item, exchange rate M (THB -> USD) is 0.03108 which is correct.
Could anyone advise where system get exchange rate for 1st line item?

    Hi
First of all, as mentioned by you, the exchange rate for Item 2 and 3 is not 0.03108.. It is as below, based on the figures given by you...
Dr. Inventory 400 USD (12,800 THB)........ Exch rate is 0.03125
Cr. GR/IR 88.64- USD (2,852.00- THB)....... Exch rate is 0.03108
Cr. Variant 311.36- USD (9,948.00- THB).... Exch rate is 0.0313
I guess the item 3 is just a derivation from Items 1 and 2.. The Price diff results as a difference between std cost and purchase price...
I believe, the exchange rate would have been 0.03125 at the time of GR... You need to check this in your system... For sure, it uses  exch rate type M in the standard... Check if 0.03125 (USD -> THB) or 32 THB -> USD exists in your system at all
Item 2 is based on your PO negotiated rate...
    Regards
    Ajay M
