Exit button not functioning in MSS Team - Recruiting - Create new Candidate Assessment iview
Location of exit button :Create new Candidate Assessment iview we have next button when we click on we can see exit button in next iview
any idea why it not functioning / help on this / or is it a bug from SAP

do need to add extra patch for this.

Exit button not function

I have a form after click on the exit button, the form won exit. Only if after insert value to the 1st item of the block, then the exit button will work as normal. Can anybody tell what cause the problem ? I wish to allow user to exit from the form anytime.

Well i think the item in which u have to insert the value has its required property set to yes.That why your form does not exit without u inserting a value.
But if that field is a primary key and the button is also in same block than move that button to another block.

Cancel and Exit button not working

Dear Experts,

I am calling a screen from inside a report program
using SET SCREEN 9000.
2 of the date fields(start date end date)
on this screen are Mandatory.
I am not able to Come out of this screen 9000 using
CANCEL or EXIT button
without giving a date entry in both of
Mandatory fields (start date end date).
Can someone help me with a solution?

Hi..
To avoid this problem you have to use AT EXIT-COMMAND Module.
1. In the GUI Status for both EXIT and CANCEL buttons assign the Function type E (Exit Command)
2. In the PAI of the Screen Call this module.
   MODULE EXIT_SCREEN AT EXIT COMMAND.
3. Now check the OK_CODE or Sy-ucomm in this module to Leave the Screen
   MODULE EXIT_SCREEN INPUT.
       CASE OK_CODE.
      WHEN 'EXIT' .
            LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.
      WHEN 'CANCEL'.
      ENDCASE.
   ENDMODULE.
This will surely work.

Which version are you using, please the exact number? Exit depends also on the browser, not only on Captivate.

Customer exit is not functioning after ECC upgrade/support package

Did you mean set a break point in the follow code?(Include ZXCOZU02), I tried set a break point in this code, but It didn't stop .

MSS Error in creating new requisition request

Hi All,
I am getting a error when I try to create a new requisition request .
I had looked in to the below mentioned thread but i am not clear what I need to do ?

I am also getting the error saying "Hiring manager Personnel number is required " when I try to create a new requisition request for hiring process?
According to the above mentioned thread I had created a Position and assigned a personnel number to that position. I am not sure what is mean by :
You have to maintain the one more manager position (i mean requister line manager) and give the proper reporting relationship and ren the program RCF_CREATE_USER, it automatically creates the CP relationship.
What the report "RCF_CREATE_USER" will do??

Exit button not working on Personal Information DC

Hi,
The exit button in Personal Information ( Home Address & Phone ) DC is not working. The issue is when I click on Exit button the screen is getting refresh, but no action is taken place.
Is the issue related to SPRO Configuration? Because the respective method is calling from FPM -fpm.navigate(wdThis.wdGetFcNavigationInterface().getNavigationTargetExitApplication());
So I tried by writing following method, but when I click on Exit button from Edit & Review views, the page is opening in a new window instead of opening in a content area where as Overview page is opening in Content Area.

Create an alert with name close_alert write message of you choice give lable to button1 and button2 Yes and No respectively.
On your exit button write below code

Custom Exit Button not working..looks for required input field on screen?

I defined this EXIT button as type E in Menu Painter.
I am using "MODULE At EXIT-COMMAND" in my PAI.
SAP message still asks for the required input field when I select the function EXIT button?
The logic still will not break into the At EXIT-COMMAND of my PAI?

Which is the sense to create a button for exit-command and doesn't allow the exit if the input field is empty?
In SE41 I entered "Back" over the back button, "EXIT" over the exit button, and "CANCEL" over the cancel button.
I selected each one, and got a popup to enter "E" for each type. As I said they appear, but do nothing?
Did I need to set a status for these?
No you don't, it's only important to define a functional having the attribute for EXIT-COMMAND

Exit Button not working through Workflow

Hi,
I'm using a Custom Business Object for triggering my workflow. I've used own transaction and used in my method. The workflow triggers and works properly. My problem is when i run the transaction code manually and click on 'Back' or 'Exit' button, it leaves program and comes out. But when i go through the workflow and execute from my inbox, it doesn't come out of the tcode i.e it doesn't leaves the program. It remains in the same screen...
Can anyone know what is the problem ??
Do i need to end the event or something have to be done for exit ?

You wouldn't happen to have a loop there, and steps that continue within a dialogue session, so it is actually new workitems you keep executing?
Perhaps not, so the problem may be caused by the way you are calling the code that presents the user interface. When you submit a program and the program tries to leave the screen it will go to the screen it came from. But it didn't really come from a screen. I believe that may be your problem in this case.
For a synchronous task I would recommend calling a function module - the function module can open a screen, or do whatever you need. The main point is that the function module can return a value to the method which can be used to determine whether you should call the macro exit_cancelled to indicate that the user cancelled execution.

Captivate Exit button not exiting

I updated the SCORM.htm file to stop bookmarking, which is
now working wonderfully (thanks to all who posted those
solutions!). BUT, now the Exit button is no longer closing the
course. I click the Exit button on the skin and it just sits there.
Before updating the SCORM.htm file to stop bookmarking, the Exit
button was working fine.
I am using the Meridian LMS and Captivate 2. Any suggestions?

You indicated that the lesson closes after several seconds.
Have you checked the timeline on the last slide? Perhaps you have
something continuing to run for several seconds, preventing the
slide from ending and thus triggering the built-in window close
functionality?
I use a button to pause my last slide and am continually
having to reset the timing of the rest of the objects to make sure
the slide ends at 2.5 seconds (the button pauses the slide at 1.5
seconds, so add 0.5 seconds for slide fade out + 0.5 seconds for "I
like things to start and end on 0.5 second intervals").
Also, it may be possible that the movie is waiting on a
response from the LMS before closing the window. I don't claim to
know how Captivate's SCORM implementation works, but if the
behavior is consistent and it's not a timeline issue, that may be
what's going on.
If that's the case, then a suggestion would be to add a new
slide at the end of your file that says something like "Submitting
your results... please do not close this window or your completion
information may be lost." This would at least keep the user from
closing the window before the movie has a chance to do so on it's
own.

Exit button not working in exe file made with Aggregator

Hi,
I created an .exe file using Aggregator in full screen mode but the exit button on the skin doesn't work. When I click the exit button, the dislay hiccups (wobbles a bit) but the file keeps playing and doesn't close. This is especially problematic since this occurs in full screen. The only way to exit is by hitting the Escape key on the keyboard. The exit button works fine in individual .exe files of the modules; it's just in the aggregated .exe file that the exit button doesn't work. Is there anything special I need to do to make the exit button work with Aggregator?

Hi, this is more J2EE related stuff, SAP came with a solution but is taking ages to get the next page after the "Exit" button is pushed:
Go to VisualAdnmin >server(n) >Services >Configuration Adapter >
(Right side Pane) webdynpro >sap.com >tcwddispwda >PropertySheet
default.
Edit the property sheet and change the custom value for the property
"sap.locking.maxWaitInterval" to 200.
Note 1113811, explains why these kind of errors happen.
I still waiting for a better solution from SAP.

all of a sudden. They work in FireFox but in MS IE. We are using

Exit Button not working in ESS

Hi All,
We have configured ESS in our landscape. When I go to any Overview/Edit/Review Page (in W-4 Tax, Add/Change dependents etc..), the Exit button which is present is not working. When I click the Exit button, it doesn't exit the current view, but instead stays at the current location.
Can anyone tell me the reason for this strange behaviour? Also, where should I make the code level changes for the Exit button work.
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Exit button not working in Captivate 7 published output

Hi. I am using Capivate v7 and am experiecing this problem with published output:
I am using an Exit button that runs the standard javascript code
javascript:window.close()
so that the user can exit the presentation. The button works fine when I test out the presentation using Internet Explorer 8, but when I generate an output and try running the .swf file, the button does not work.
How do I get an Exit button to work for the .swf output?

Yes, the close X does work 100% of the time. That's because the browser itself is just a window in the operating system. And you are commanding the window to close.
And you might find yourself asking why that would work while the Exit button fails. And it would be that it's a security issue. Security prevents the window from closing because if a web site was nefarious, it could actually trap you by making changes and quickly closing the window and preventing you from browsing elsewhere.
It's simple to turn off the Exit button. Just click Project > Skin Editor and clear the Close checkbox.

Exit button not visible in standard applications

Hi all,
When we call a standard ESS application ( bank or address) from the detailed navigation, the exit button is not appearing in the application.
However, when we open the same application from the area page, the exit button is appearing correctly.
Any idea why this could be happening?

Hello Diana,
no you cant. In this case the system wouldnt know which one to call. But as you have said you have multiple roles each role has its own (version) iview of the area- and areagrouppage. You just have to change the iView setting by editing the iview which you embedded into the role. Open the role and click you through to the iview, adjust the view properties to pass the correct areapage as application parameter. By doing this you neither change the settings of the original iview nor do you change the properties of the iviews of the other roles.
