Hello.
This is pretty old but. Any ways. I think it will help some one who looks for the solution.
I think that ANALYZE TABLE XXX compute statistics will helps you.
Also, you shold try one of these:
- CREATE TABLE copy_of_main AS SELECT * FROM main_table - no errors
- Check if there is enough space on the device you are going to put .dmp file on.
- Changing the size of buffer parameter
- Using dbverify against datafiles that contain table data gives no errors.
- SELECT * FROM this table gives no errors.
ANALYZE TABLE works for me in almost every case.
Take care.
Alex.

  • Export/Import Issues

FYI, I recently exported my app to a different workspace and noticed the following:
    - My calendar day link was gone.
    - The return values in one of my Static LOVs had become character instead of number.
    Bill

    Scott,
Both of my apps are on 1.6.0.00.87. I exported the original app from one workspace and imported it to another on the same server. The issue is that something that was working fine on the original app stopped working on the imported app.
When the page in question loads, the item in question uses an SQL query to set its value. The query calls a value from a table column of type NUMBER(10,8). Since the item type is "display as text (based on LOV, saves state)", the item must correlate the value retrieved from the table with a display value retrieved from the LOV. For some reason it considers the return values in the LOV to be character instead of number. I have to add the "to_char" function to the query to make it work. I don't need that in the pre-export, original app. In that app the LOV return values are considered number type.
Well, I did find a work around so it's no big deal, but thought you might want to keep track of it.
    Thanks!
    Bill

  • Scenario Export /Import Issue: Import file error

The Procedure scenario when I am trying to import in higher environment, it is giving me error " Import file error" and when I click on Details, it shows following message.
I am trying to import scenario with INSERT/UPDATE mode and trying to replace with the same version. The scenario is executing fine in dev environment. What could be the cause. I have tried importing the same, 2-3 times ...even on different days with connecting and disconnecting the repository. What could be the reason. I am exporting the scenario from designer/procedure/scenario. using same option, I have exported the scenario many times but did not get any issue so far while importing into higher environment

  • Export Import Issue in NWDS

    Dear All,
I am using NWDS 7 for web dynpro development.
I created a development component for customer master in web dynpro and it is perfectly integrated with R/3 and saving the data in R/3.
Now I exported this component using File->Export->File System->Development Component ,
Then I created a new development component and imported the same exported DC in this component.
It imported the DC successfully but when I tried to deploy it after rebuild it is showing error--

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi alternatively try this
    1.      Create a new Web Dynpro DC Project.
This creates an empty container for a Web Dynpro DC that does not have yet have any functions. The new DC should include all relevant development objects in the local project.
Do not check the newly created DC into the DTR yet.
    2.      In the Web Dynpro perspective, switch to the Navigator view.
    3.      Select the local Web Dynpro project that you want to migrate and expand the project structure.
    4.      Select the source folder src and the Model Folder, then choose Copy in the context menu (right mouse click).
    5.      Now choose the DC project that you have just created and expand the project structure in the Navigator view down to the source folder.
    6.      Select the Packages node and choose Paste.
    7.      Choose OK to confirm your selection.
    8.      Assign a DTR activity either by creating a new activity or choosing an existing one.
    9.      Switch to Web Dynpro Explorer.
    10.      Choose the project node for the DC project and choose the  Reload function.
    11.      A dialog box appears. Choose Reload again.
    12.      Execute a local rebuild for the entire DC project. Choose the  Rebuild project function.
    13.      If there are no errors in the task view, execute a DC-based build by choosing Development Component Build.
This build is identical to the central build tool; it is needed to cater for mutual dependencies of DCs during the build.

  • Export/import in 904 versus 10.1.2

We have two 10G AS 904 installs (dev and prod - same O/S too). From time to time we move our production portal content to the dev server. We sometimes get corruption and have to use the Schema validation Utility scripts to fix the import to the dev server. Not a show stopper but this adds another manual step to the process.
I see the 10.1.2 version has improved import/export checks. Can anyone give feedback on the improvements in the export/import process?
    Thanks
    Kevin

    Kevin,
Careful with this approach. Passing from DEV to PROD is ok, but then to DEV back again, what I suggest you is that you have a clean start on DEV, ie, clean the DEV machine and later do the same to the PROD. Portal Export / Import works only in one-way and not both ways (this basically has to do with the checks we do make and with possible conflicts with the objects on both sides). Also check the available documentation... which is all compiled in Metalink Note:263995.1 - Master Note for OracleAS Portal Export / Import Issues
As to the improvement of the process, please give it a check on the New Features papers (make a find on "export" - it is easier to pick the references):-
    10.1.2 -- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/pdf/1012_nf_paper.pdf
    10.1.4 -- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/pdf/portal_1014_new_features.pdf
    I hope it helps...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

We currently are working in PLM 6.1.1 and users are experiencing Export/Import Issues, the error appears frequently with several users.
    Steps:
    1. A new token is generated from our QA environment
    2. The user logs into Dev and transfers the token
    3. In the export ADMIN area the user selects a section
    4. In the QA environment the user schedules the import
    5. The import is scheduled however the error is received after a few mins

This is likely a DRL issue. verify DRL is configured correctly and a valid PLM4P user is setup in the setup assistant. in addition, make sure you added the new app in IIS for DRLService (this is a doc bug we are correcting that we failed to include in the 611 guide). verify you can attach and then open an attachment on a material spec.

Any idea how can we do export/import in module pool program to Workflow method?

    Hi sanjana,
Please check the link. Here you can find some examples also.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fc/eb3bf8358411d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm
You just need to create a key and an ID to save data into INDX table.Once its saved you can use same key and id to import .
Again mentioning , dont forget to delete using same key and ID once you have imported else it may give error.

  • ABAP Memory (EXPORT/IMPORT) - Performance Issue

Performance wise, is it a good idea to use ABAP memory to export and import data between programs?
    Thanks in advance,

IMHO is you EXPORT/IMPORT a couple of variable...Your not going get any performance issues....So go ahead -:)

  • Issues with Export/Import using Database & Shared buffer

    Hi All,
I have a method that calls a program via a job and I am having issues passing data between the two.
Note that two different users process the method and program (via job) resp. This is how I am calling the second prog-
    SUBMIT ZPROGRAM
                 VIA JOB     l_jobname
                     NUMBER  l_jobcount
                     USER    i_user
                 AND RETURN.
I need to pass data from method to  the second program and vice versa and then the method continues its processing with the data acquired from the second program.
I have tried using Import/Export using database and also shared buffer. What I have found is that most of the times I am able to pass data from method to program. However the job takes a couple of min to execute and I think that the data is not making back to the method in time.
I have looked at some useful forum links-
Problem with export/import in back ground
    Re: EXPORT/IMPORT  to MEMORY
but havent been able to find an answer yet. Any solution? Thanks in advance for your help!
    Liz

    Hi Suhas, Subhankar
I have tested the scenario without the job previously itself and it works. Thats the reason, i am trying with the job now as my requirement is that I need to change the user while executing the second report.
Here is an example of my import/export - I am passing the return value from the second report to the first.
    Code in second report-
DATA: INDXKEY LIKE INDX-SRTFD VALUE 'RET1'.
    INDX-AEDAT = SY-DATUM.
    INDX-USERA = SY-UNAME.
EXPORT RETURN1 TO SHARED BUFFER INDX(ST) ID INDXKEY.
    Code in first report -
    SUBMIT ZPROGRAM
                     VIA JOB     l_jobname
                         NUMBER  l_jobcount
                         USER    i_user
                     AND RETURN.
Once Job close FM is executed successfully, I import the values as follows
IMPORT RETURN1 TO RETURN1 FROM SHARED BUFFER INDX(ST) ID INDXKEY3.
    INDXKEY is having value RET1.
However Return1 is not having any values in first report. It has some value in executed without the job
Please note that I have tried Export/import with Database too and I am getting the same results.
    Thanks for your suggestions.
    Regards, Liz

  • OWB - issue in export  import

    hi,
When i do an export – import from one OWB repository to another of an OWB mapping having a MERGE statement some of the columns are missing in the MERGE. I am using OWB 10g R2.
Eg: if the MERGE is based on columns c1, c2, c3 after the export-import the mapping to a different environment the imported mapping is having the MERGE based on only c1
    Thanks

There is Bug 5705198: LOADING PROPERTIES CHANGED AFTER MDL EXPORT/IMPORT (fixed in 10.2.0.4 OWB patchset), similar problem with lost MATCH COLUMN WHEN UPDATING ROW property during MDL import.
    Maybe it is your case.
There is not workaround for this problem, only patching to OWB 10.2.0.4

  • Issue with Oracle Export/Import

    Hello Oracle,
I m using Oracle Import Utility to Import data .This utility, i m controlling through a C#.Net Application.
But I want to show the time estimation required to complete the Export/Import process in advance just like the windows feature when we are copying files from one place to another.
How can we get time estimation in advance to import the dump file or after analysis of dump file ?
Is Oracle providing any information regarding estimated time required to import the dump in data base.
    Pls guide me.
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Tarun

But I want to show the time estimation required to
complete the Export/Import process in advance just
like the windows feature when we are copying files
from one place to another. So you want to show the user that it will be another 10 minutes left to complete the export/import, and just when he/she thinks it is nearly complete the time to remaining is reported in some 20+ digit number? ;)
The export and import utilities do not have a method to report the time remaining to complete that I have seen.

  • Import and export performance issue

    Hi,
There is #CLIENT_TEST# table having 2170178 records.
I am using following command to exp and imp, which is taking up more time, around 4 to 5 hrs.
Please help to improve the exp/imp performance. I'm using Oracle 10.2 version.
    _Export:_
    exp user/paswd@orcl file=<path> tables=(CLIENT_TEST) log=<path> buffer=409600  grants=Y rows=Y compress=N direct = Y
    _Import:_
    imp user/paswd@orcl  file=<path>  tables=(CLIENT_TEST)  log=<path>commit=Y  IGNORE=YES indexes=N Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
you can have a look at the newer kind of export/import: EXPDP and IMPDP. See documentation: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dp_overview.htm#SUTIL100
It is faster than the old EXP/IMP.

While doing export there was a problem with table  SOFFCONT1 , So we have followed the note 1922094  and changed the size of the package  from  1 GB to 2 GB  in SOFFCONT1.cmd , After this We have exported the data from the source system using SWPM tool. Now we are importing in to Target system , During the Import ABAP phase we are facing the below issue for same table SOFFCONT1 . Could you please tell us how to fix this issue . • Best choice for exporting / importing EUL

    Hi all
I have been tasked with migrating an EUL from a R11 to a R12 environment. The Discoverer version on both environments is 10.1.2 and the OS is Solaris on oracle db's.
I am unfortunately not experienced with Discoverer and there seems to be no one available to assist for various reasons. So I have been reading the manual and forum posts and viewing metalink articles.
I tried exporting the entire eul via the wizard and then importing it to the new environment but i was not successfull and experienced the system hanging for many hours with a white screen and the log file just ended.
I assumed this was a memory problem or slow network issues causing this delay. Someone suggested I export import the EUL in pieces and this seemed to be effective but I got missing item warnings when trying to open reports. This piece meal approach also worried me regarding consistency.
So I decided to try do the full import on the server to try negate the first problem I experienced. Due to the clients security policies I am not able to open the source eul and send it to our dev. I was able to get it from their dev 11 system but I dismissed this as the dev reports were not working and the only reliable eul is the Prod one. I managed to get a prod eex file from a client resource but the upload to my server was extremely slow.
I asked the dba to assit with the third option of exporting a db dump of the eul_us and importing this into my r12 dev environment. I managed this but had to export the db file using sys which alleviated a priviledge problem when logging in, I have reports that run and my user can see the reports but there are reports that were not shared to sysadmin in the source enviroment are now prefixed with the version 11 user_id in my desktop and the user cannot see her reports only the sysadmin ones.
I refreshed the BA's using a shell script I made up which uses the java cmd with parameters.
After some re reading I tried selecting all the options in the validate menu and refreshing in the discover admin tool.
If I validate and refresh the BA using the admin tool I get the hanging screen and a lot of warnings that items are missing( so much for my java cmd refresh!) and now the report will not open and I see the substitute missing item dialogue boxes.
My question to the forum is which would be the best approach to migrate the entire eul from a R11 instance to a R12 instance in these circumstances?
    Many thanks
    Regards
    Nick

    Hi Srini
The os and db details are as follows:
    Source:
    eBus 11.5.2
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bi
    SunOS 5.10 Generic_142900-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V890
    Target:
    ebus 12.1.2
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production DEV12
    SunOS 5.10 Generic_142900-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V890
Yes the DBA initially did an exp for me using EUL_US as the owner but a strange thing happened with privileges and also, some of the imported tables appeared in the target environment under the apps schema(21 tables) even though the eul_us exp had been 48 tables.
I also had a problem on the db with "eul_us has insufficient privileges on table space discoverer" type errors.
I checked the eul_us db privileges and was unable to resolve this initial privilege error even though the privileges were granted to eul_us.
The dba managed to exp as system and then import it with the full=y flag in the import command which seems to bring in the privileges.
Then I ran the eul5_id.sql and then made up a list of the business areas and made a sh script to refresh the business areas as follows:
    java -jar eulbuilder.jar -connect sysadmin/oracle1@dev -apps_user -apps_responsibility "System Administrator" -refresh_business_area "ABM Activities" -log refresh.log
This runs successfully and I can log in select business area and grant access to the users. The reports return data.
Then one of the users said she can't see all her reports. I noticed some if I opened desktop that were sitting there prefixed with a hash and her version 11 user id.
So back to the manuals and in the disco admin help the instructions are to first go to view > validate > select all options then go to the business area and click file refresh. This gives me a lot of warnings about items that are missing. I assume this is because the item identifiers brought across in the db dump are the version 11 ones and thus not found in the new system.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks
    Nick
