EXPORT TO JPEG WITH UNIQUE BOOKMARK AS FILENAME

I have a fifty page document and each page is bookmarked with a unique name. I'd like to export each page as a jpeg and have the resulting jpeg filenames reflect their corresponding bookmark name. By default, acrobat saves each file with master document name with an appended number.
Any tips?

You can't go from a page to it's assigned bookmark, but you can execute a bookmark. So you need to scan and execute all bookmarks, exporting the selected page each time.

  • Exporting to jpeg with grayscale images on the page crashes Indesign

    Hi,
I have noticed a bug in Indesign CS4.
When I have grayscale psd images on a page the export to jpeg crashes.

That's been happening to me too, but I didn't realize it was just the grayscale .psd causing it, since I never use the feature in the real world and was only trying to confirm a posted behavior.

  • Export as JPEG with embedded colour profile

I want to save my raw image as a JPEG and tag the picture with a printer-specific profile, so I can send to a 3rd party printing company. I have a copy of their profile and placed in the appropriate filder on my system but when I do the export, this profile does not appear as an option in the Color Space drop down. I only get the 3 options as stated in the manual.
"Color Space Converts the photos to sRGB, AdobeRGB, or ProPhoto RGB color space and tags the photos with the color profile."
Is it possible to do what I want with Lightroom? Is there an equivalent of the PS convert to profile facility?
    Thanks
    Lee

What you can do is to create an action -- or better yet, a droplet -- for Photoshop that will provide this conversion to the destination space of your choice. Then you do an export from LR to a 16-bit ProPhoto TIFF, then drag your exported images onto the droplet (which is responsible for the color space conversion as well as dropping down to 8 bits if required). The droplet can help speed up the process if you have lots of these images to do.

  • Exporting as jpeg with use artboards adds to file name

When I export from Illustrator CS5 with "Use Artboards" checked it adds a "-01" to the end of my file name before the extention. I'm assuming that its because its artboard #1 or something. It happens with the all or the range button checked. It doesnt show the -01 when you are saving the file name. This is pretty annoying because I have to go back and re name the files when this happens. Any advice? Thanks!

    Same problem, Gex.
Been trying to get this resolved for months with no joy. I have recently produced over 250 brand logos for a large multi national, all of which have to supplied in various formats and file types including .jpg. I too use only one artboard and since I don't want the logos cropped tight to the image, I check "use artboard" with the result that I get logoname-01.jpg on every file.
It may not seem to be too much of a sweat to then delete the offending -01 from the resulting file name, but when you have to do this repeatedly it is extremely tiresome... and so unnecessary!! I too do not want, or need, to append the file name with anything at all.
I really am at a loss to know why, if i have one artboard (AND ONLY ONE) it has to have a number at all. With 2 or more artboards, sure, it may be useful to identify each, but with 1... that is it, that is all there is. The only one. One of one. No more, no less. Very little chance of confusion i would have thought!
So, Adobe can we have a radio button (or preference) along the lines of: "add pasteboard number" or "remove pasteboard number" or perhaps a more enlightened soul at Adobe can respond with a workaround (unlikely, it is Adobe after all!).

  • Help needed to export to jpeg with out losing quality!

Hello, I have a photo that is around 18mb in size. After processing in Lightroom 5 i try to export the photo as a jpeg but the size of the file is now only 5mb and the quality is really poor. The quality setting for exporting is set to 100, help please!!

    mattgiori wrote:
The original file is a raw. It looks no difference but the size is very different.
    Okay, stop right there.
When you examine the file sizes and the RAW is 18mb and the JPG is 5mb, that means NOTHING. The file size does not indicate the quality of the image. Furthermore, JPGs are supposed to smaller than the RAW, so there is nothing here that indicates a problem or a loss of quality.
As long as you are paying attention to file sizes, you will come to the wrong conclusions.
You want to examine the pixel dimensions of the exported photo and the original RAW. That is meaningful information, and you haven't provided that information.
It looks no difference but the size is very different. And then when I try to blow it up the poor quality shows.
It looks no different because, as JimHess said above, you won't find a difference unless you look extremely closely, and again that's as it should be.
You still haven't told us what you are doing to blow up the image, and what the poor quality looks like.

  • Why jpeg file exported from Aperture with 300 dpi's it opens with 72 dpi's on PS ( image size)? I've tried several combinations and all give different results. And I am confused on what is the best workflow for me.

    Ok.
    My workflow is
RAW > Aperture Library > export jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > one file on PS > edit > Save us jpeg. The I realised that files from PS were being save in a smaller size from the ones exported form Aperture. That is when I went o see <image size> on PS and files were with 72.
Since ten I've trying different things
    1. Aperture > export as PSD > open on PS > edit > Save us jpeg = small file (around 15 MB)
    2. Aperture > export as jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > open on PS > CHANGE dpi's to 300 on <image size> edit > Save us jpeg = big file (Huge, actually)
What am I doing wrong? Would someone give me guidance and tell me what is the best workflow, considering I edit photos to deliver to my clients and I shall give them 300 dpi's.
    Thank you

I have imported my pictures into aperture, how do I export into jpeg files so i can share files with friends who dont use aperture ?

If you want the same export settings on some or all of the images you can select all that have the same export requirements and export them as a group.
If all the images have the same requirements then you can select them all and run the export command.

I am using Lightroom on my MAC where I import the finalized JPEG-pictures into iPhoto to create a slideshow (for instance in combination with films). When exporting the slideshow with a 1080p resolution to iTunes I experience difficulties (missing slides and black transitions). When using JPEG-pictures directly from the camera there are no problems, so the manipulation in Lightroom seem to cause corrupt files. Does anyone recognize tje problem and could it have anything to do with the introduction of the Yosemite software? Is Lightroom already Yosemite-proof?

  • Exporting jpegs with embedded previews?

For compatibility with a web application I wrote using an old workflow ending with a save-for-web in Photoshop, I need to export jpegs with embedded previews. (Not DNG or other format files with embedded jpeg previews.) This happens by default with Photoshop, but Lightroom doesn't do it and I can't find anything to change that in the settings. Am I missing something? And if this isn't included, is it on the to-do list for improvements?

  • With existing large managed library, can I export only jpegs to a laptop?

    Hi folks,
The subject line is perhaps not well phrased, but I'm wondering is it possible to do the following: given that I have a large, well-established Aperture library with all of my RAWs on my desktop machine, is it possible to nicely export the JPEGs of those RAWs into a library file that could fit on my laptop, for preview purposes?
It'd be necessary to keep ratings and other metadata, of course, although I don't care about syncing any changes I make on the laptop back.

If you use referenced masters, then generate previews of all of your images (will take a long time). The previews live in the library. Copy that library to your laptop, then you can delete the previews in your main library.
Since you use managed masters, you'll have to relocate them temporarily.

  • Adobe Illustrator Export to JPEG (*.JPG) vs ICC Color Profiles vs Behance

    Hi,
I work with Adobe Illustrator CC 2014. When I export my projects into *.JPG format (using both: 'Adobe Illustrator > File > Export' and 'Adobe Illustrator > File > Save for Web') I use ‘Embed ICC’ profile option. Every common image viewer I use (including web browsers and Adobe Bridge) respects those color settings and displays exactly what has been embedded. But when posting on Behance, my color settings are converted into something else! The only solution is to place my Adobe Illustrator file into a new Adobe Photoshop document , then export it into .JPG (with embedded color settings) and then post it to Behance. With this workaround my colors look pretty correct.
Did someone experience the same and  could explain why Behance doesn’t respect the Adobe Illustrator export with embedded ICC profile settings?
one thing more – even if my *.JPG produced with Adobe Photoshop (the correct one)  is displayed correctly, the cover photo (taken from the original) is still converted into different (Behance’s default??) color space. I believe this shouldn’t work this way. Is there any workaround to this? Is there any way my covers (miniatures) display the 'true' colors?
    Please advise

ok. I give up. It seems that Adobe Illustrator can export only to the JPEG File Interchange Format (JFIF) and Behence doesn’t fully support this format (for example it cannot read its icc color data correctly):
(JPEG) Formally, the EXIF and JFIF standards are incompatible. This is because both specify that their particular application segment (APP0 for JFIF, APP1 for Exif) must be the first in the image file. In practice, many programs and digital cameras produce files with both application segments included. This will not affect the image decoding for most decoders, but poorly designed JFIF or Exif parsers may not recognize the file properly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_File_Interchange_Format#Exif_comparison)
I’ve analyzed my files using JPEGsnoop 1.6.1 (really cool app by Calvin Hass, http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/) and here is what I’ve found:
    A) *.jpg produced with Adobe Illustrator > File > Export > JPEG > ICC profile embedded:
    *** Marker: SOI (xFFD8) ***
    OFFSET: 0x00000000
    *** Marker: APP0 (xFFE0) ***

    Dir Length = 0x0003
    [ColorSpace ] = sRGB
    [ExifImageWidth ] = 200
    [ExifImageHeight ] = 200
So unfortunately the only option to produce the EXIF JPEG from an Adobe Illustrator project is to: Export *.ai file to JPEG (under Adobe Illustrator) > go to Photoshop > Create new project > Paste the *.jpg > and Sava As JPEG with icc embedded.

  • Failed to export the JPEG file

When I attempt to export a jpeg from InDesign I get the following error message, please help:
"Failed to export the JPEG file: File cannot be written.
Disc may be locked or full."
The disc it is writing to has 90Gb of memory free and I've tried knocking the quality of the export down with no success.

    Thanks.

I'm trying to export to the hard drive on the Mac as usual, and have never had this issue before?

  • InDesign CS6 "Failed to export the JPEG file. File cannot be written. Disk may be locked or full."

I get this error "Failed to export the JPEG file. File cannot be written. Disk may be locked or full." when sending small (3"x3") and large (40"x60") files to a printer hot folder. Sometime if I close the program and restart it will let me export. What could be causing this to happen?
I am on Windows 7 with 4GB RAM PC.

I guess the printer is grabbing the file before it is entirely written…
Workaround: Do not save to a hot folder. Move the files after exporting to the hot folder.
