Export to Portal via Broadcaster missing folders

I am using the Broadcaster option 'Export to Portal'.  From the portal, I do the following:
1.  Select Business Intelligence > BEx Broadcaster
2.  I select my Web template
3.  I select Distribution Type = 'Broadcast to the Portal'
4.  For output format, I select 'HTML'.
5.  In the 'Target in Portal' tab, I select 'Export Document to other Folder'.  The only two folders that I have a choice to select from are 'CM Repository View' and 'Collaboration Room'.
Does any one have any idea as to why the folders that I created in the portal do not show up in this list?  I have the super admin role assigned to my user.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Ryan

I have a role assigned to the folder and that role is assigned to my userid.
The input help for selecting the KM folder uses this iView com.sap.ip.bi.portalnavigation.folderselection
When I create my folders, do I need to set some property so that the folders are included in  'com.sap.ip.bi.portalnavigation.folderselection'
Thanks.
Ryan

  • Previews missing at catalog and drive level.  Unable to use filters at this level.  Missing folders.

Using LR4 (not 4.1) and Win7 Home Premium.
Catalog had been upgraded from LR3 and  LR4 catalog was working fine until now. I've been using LR since the begining.
Two problems, probably related.  106K photos over two drives, almost 3Tb.
At the catalog level, there are no previews.  Normally previews of all 106K photos would be displayed. Message is "Click the "import" button to begin."  Filter function does not work Message:  "No photos match the filter"
At the drive level, there are no previews.  Message is "No photos in selected folder" Filter function does not work Message:  "No photos match the filter"
At the folder level, everything is fine, except two folders give the same message "No photos in selected folder"  Filter function does not work in these two folders: Message:  "No photos match the filter"  14K photos between the two bad folders
Dozens, hundreds, of other folders and subfolders are fine. Filter function works fine at folder and subfolder level.
Collections are fine, including photos in the two folders giving the mesage "No photos in selected folder"
    What I've done:
    uninstalled and reinstalled LR4 twice.
    Downloaded and installed clean LR4.
    Same problems
Tried to import the missing folders.  Won't import because they're already in the catalog.  Won't import even if I uncheck "Don't import suspected duplicates"
Exported as a catalog one of the "No photos in selected folder" folders.  It appeared to create a viable catalog with previews, search filters, etc.  I edited a few photos with no problems.  Although it did give a message saying several hundred previews were missing.  But they seem to be there anyway.
Deleted the folder from the catalog and imported from catalog the working folder catalog that I just created.
    Same problems.
Exported as a catalog  the other "No photos in selected folder" folder.  Same result as the first bad folder.  I.e. It appeared to create a viable catalog with previews, search filters, etc.  Although it did give a message saying several hundred previews were missing.  But they seem to be there anyway.
Haven't done anything with this second folder catalog.  Intriguing, the same message about missing previews.
The actual files and *.xmp files are in the bad folders.
    Now what?

Discovered a thread in this forum.  Known problem solved by 4.1 beta.  Upgraded to LR4.1 and problem solved.

  • [SOLVED] - Package xf86-video-via is missing from repositories!

    Hi,
I have a VIA card as follows:
VGA Compatible Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. S3 Unichrome Pro VGA Adapter (rev 01)
My X doesn't work except in VESA mode. But in Vesa mode, when I play videos in mplayer, I can't fullscreen them.
When I checked the sample xorg.conf files mentioned in the Xorg wiki, I find that I am advised to use the xf86-video-via package.
But the package xf86-video-via is missing from repositories!
pacman -Ss xf86-video-via doesn't give results!
    Please help.
    Thanks.

  • ERROR WHILE CREATING .DMP FILE FROM .CMD IN EXPORT/IMPORT PORTAL DB PROVIDE

    Hi,
I have exported a PORTAL DB PROVIDER in Portal release 2 and downloaded the script for NT. But when I try to
export the .CMD script using this command : myexp.cmd -mode export -s [portal_schema]
    -p [portal_schema_password] -c [connect_string] -pu [portal_username] -pp [portal_userpassword] -d [dump_filename], the command line resulted the following :
    Mode Selected is EXPORT
then was unexpected at this time.
Could someone kindly tell me what might went wrong?
    Thanks.

had the same problem and ended up just letting it prompt me for some of the info. For example, run:
    myexp.cmd -mode export -s [portal_schema]
    -p [portal_schema_password] -c [connect_string]
it will then prompt you for the portal_userpassword (used to login to the portal) and then the dump file name. Then it runs.

  • Export/import portal favorites

Hi, we have NW2004 Portal SP16.  Is it possible to export/import portal favorites between users?  The reason I asked is that we are planning on using 2 LDAP data sources in production and some users will be migrated in Active Directory from companyA.com to companyB.com.  We noticed in our development environment that the favorites are gone.
    Thanks in advance

I asked OSS and they said :
you should be able to transport these as an
offline package using ICE. It should simply be a case of transporting
over the userhome directory. However, please insure that the user is
a system principal and has full control of all the userhome
directories otherwise you may experience problems with permissions.
Please see the link below regarding transporting Offline content in ICE

  • How to run Import/Export for Portal Page

    Hi all !
I have to export the Portal page .What are the steps I have to follow to complete the process ?I'm new to Oracle portal..
Please help . Thanks in advance
    chris

You could check out the Export/Import FAQ for some of your questions
    http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/OTN_CONTENT/MAINPAGE/DEPLOY_PERFORM/EXPORT_IMPORT_FAQ_1120.HTM
Also see if you can get access to configuration guide for your version of portal. There has to be a chapter on how to use Export/Import utilities in Portal
The simplest way to explain the process is
    1. Click on Export link next to the object to be exported
    2. Give a name for the transport set and export it.
    3. Download scripts for migrating the content and run it in export mode to generate the dump file.
    4. FTP the script and dump file to target
    5. Run the script in import mode to transfer the contents of dump file in target portal. The usage of scripts in export/import mode is given when you run the script without any parameters
    6. Go to the Export/Import portlet and select the transport set for import.
    7. View the logs to see if the migration has been successful.
    8. Go to the navigator and check if the object you migrated has been brought in successfully.

  • Missing folders in iTunes music folder.

There are several artist folders missing in my iTunes music folder, but in the song info in iTunes it says the songs are located in the missing folders. What could the problem be??

Try playing the songs and see if iTunes has the location correct. If they play then select Get Info on those songs and iTunes will show you where they are located. If iTunes can't find the songs then they have been moved or deleted. Have you been moving your music around manually?

  • Missing folders on XHD in CS4 Bridge

I automatically back up my hard daily, but do it using an incremental command rather than a full back-up. That has resulted in many folders on my XHD, all named with numbers. Over the years I have renamed some of the folders by content so I can find them quickly. I've given a color label to one so I can filter and get that folder immediately.
This has worked in CS3 and now in CS4, which I installed in early December.
Suddenly, the folders with English names and Adobe labels are not showing up. I ran a trial version of a recovery software program and it says nothing's been deleted (I know that). When I run the menu for the XHD, it says that some files have been deleted or may be located on an XHD or network. Well, there is no network and there is no additional XHD.
The missing folders don't show up in Windows Explorer either.
Finally, I can tell from checking the properties value of the XHD that the missing folders are there. The space used v. the space available is the consistent with previous checks.
In Bridge, I've used the View menu and gotten nothing. When I switch to my Filter menu, it does not show any filters in play. Where did they go?
My system worked find in CS3 and with the same XHD so I think it's a CS4 issue. Anyone having the same problem and how did you solve it?
    Thank you.

This is just a shot in the dark suggestion as I am not familiar with dual language versions. In past posts I remember that some users have had various problems with them, and the solution was the language check mark. I remember one that said they changed from English to international English and that solved the problem. If that makes sense worth a look into.

  • My 'export to wav' function is missing in Quicktime.

I have QuickTime 7 Pro, and all my export-to-audio options are missing. If I go to File > Export, the dropdown selector only shows video options.
I've tried several different files in different formats, and the result is always the same. The audio options are just entirely missing.
I suspect that I did this to myself, unintentionally messing up settings. Have any of you run into this?

You were right. I thought that there had been a system change because I believed I had been using the same file types all along. Further checking revealed that I'd changed an output setting a while ago, and once I switched it to an alternate format, I was able to output the audio to wav again.
    Thanks!

I shoot with a Panasonic AG-DVX100, news stories, the edit with FCP 5. I would like to export the final product to a CD rather than back to tape. What would you suggest are the best EXPORT settings?
Thank you in advance for your feedback

This mystic native setting of which I speak is merely that which is contained within the sequence preset your sequence is using.
You said you're shooting DV, right? So your sequence setting is probably some flavor of DV. If you export a QuickTime Movie (not QuickTime Conversion) you will export a movie whose codec matches that of your sequence.
But there is no "make me an ideal broadcast movie" button. It starts with what you shoot. You say you're shooting on DV, that could be considered a bad start and therefore impossible ever to achieve "ideal broadcast" quality, but if we ignore that then we know that DV is the best you're ever going to get. Staying DV and not recompressing to some other codec will help you ensure you're not screwing it up.
I think you are best off, however, going back to tape. It seems that you know how to do that, and you know that when you do it you have a good master. Since you don't know what you're doing with this "ideal broadcast export" business, you're just asking for trouble.
If you want a file when you're done, capture your edited master back in and then make a Quicktime Movie from that. That way, even if you screw up the export to QuickTime, at least your MiniDV master will be safe.

  • Keep having to find missing folders for network image files, although library is on local drive

I use Lightroom to store my image files on a networked drive.  Whenever I open up Lightroom and want to access the files, it keeps losing the path to the drive and folders.  I have to keep using find missing folders on all the subdirectories to see the files.  Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening each time?

What is this BSD Name: disk0s1 for that occupy 209.7MB?
That is your EFI partition and shouldn't be touched.
I'm missing around 349GB of disc, after I sum up all my folders.. freeing most huge files.
    First, empty your trash.
Open Finder, Click the Apple Logo > About This Mac > More Info.. > Storage
