  • Reg: Exporting the data into excel in ADF 11g application.

    Hi All,
    We have developed an application in ADF 11g which retrieves the data from database in the form of table. Now we have a requirement to export that data into an excel sheet.
    Can anyone please help us regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Harsha

    Hi Harsha,
    you can use <af:exportCollectionActionListener /> component to do that. Set the exportedId property to point to of the table. You have options to export all rows or only selected rows.
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="Export All Rows to Excel" immediate="true"
                                                   id="exportAll">
    <af:exportCollectionActionListener type="excelHTML" exportedId="table"
                                                     filename="export.xls"
                                                     title="ADF Faces Export - All" exportedRows="all"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="Export Selected Rows to Excel" immediate="true"
                                            id="exportSelected">
    <af:exportCollectionActionListener type="excelHTML" exportedId="table"
                                                     filename="export.xls"
                                                     title="ADF Faces Export - Selected Rows"
                                                      exportedRows="selected"/>

  • Can I use Bridge to export image data into a .txt file?

    I have a folder of images and I would like to export the File Name, Resolution, Dimensions and Color Mode for each file into one text file. Can I use Bridge to export image data into a .txt file?

    Hello
    You may try the following AppleScript script. It will ask you to choose a root folder where to start searching for *.map files and then create a CSV file named "out.csv" on desktop which you may import to Excel.
    set f to (choose folder with prompt "Choose the root folder to start searching")'s POSIX path
    if f ends with "/" then set f to f's text 1 thru -2
    do shell script "/usr/bin/perl -CSDA -w <<'EOF' - " & f's quoted form & " > ~/Desktop/out.csv
    use strict;
    use open IN => ':crlf';
    chdir $ARGV[0] or die qq($!);
    local $/ = qq(\\0);
    my @ff = map {chomp; $_} qx(find . -type f -iname '*.map' -print0);
    local $/ = qq(\\n);
    #     CSV spec
    #     - record separator is CRLF
    #     - field separator is comma
    #     - every field is quoted
    #     - text encoding is UTF-8
    local $\\ = qq(\\015\\012);    # CRLF
    local $, = qq(,);            # COMMA
    # print column header row
    my @dd = ('column 1', 'column 2', 'column 3', 'column 4', 'column 5', 'column 6');
    print map { s/\"/\"\"/og; qq(\").$_.qq(\"); } @dd;
    # print data row per each file
    while (@ff) {
        my $f = shift @ff;    # file path
        if ( ! open(IN, '<', $f) ) {
            warn qq(Failed to open $f: $!);
            next;
        $f =~ s%^.*/%%og;    # file name
        @dd = ('', $f, '', '', '', '');
        while (<IN>) {
            chomp;
            $dd[0] = \"$2/$1/$3\" if m%Link Time\\s+=\\s+([0-9]{2})/([0-9]{2})/([0-9]{4})%o;
            ($dd[2] = $1) =~ s/ //g if m/([0-9 ]+)\\s+bytes of CODE\\s/o;
            ($dd[3] = $1) =~ s/ //g if m/([0-9 ]+)\\s+bytes of DATA\\s/o;

  • Split data into different fields in TR

    I have a flat file with space (multiple spaces between different fields) as a delimiter. The problem is, file is coming from 3rd party and they don't want to change the separator as comma or tab delimited CSV file. I have to load data in ODS (BW 3x).
    Now I am thinking to load line by line and then split data into different objects in Transfer rules.
    The Records looks like:
    *009785499 ssss BC sssss 2988 ssss 244 sss 772 sss  200
    *000000033 ssss AB ssss        0  ssss   0 ssss 0 ssss 0
    *000004533 ssss EE ssss        8  ssss   3 ssss 2 ssss 4
    s = space
    Now I want data to split like:
    Field1 = 009785499
    Field2 = BC
    Field3 = 2988
    Field4 = 244
    Field5 = 772
    Field6 = 200
    After 1st line load, go to 2nd line and split the data as above and so on. Could you help me with the code pleaseu2026?
    Is it a good design to load data? Any other idea?
    I appreciate your helps..

    Hi,
    Not sure how efficient this is, but you can try an approach on the lines of this link /people/sap.user72/blog/2006/05/27/long-texts-in-sap-bw-modeling
    Make your transfer structure in this format. Say the length of each line is 200 characters. Make the first field of the structure of length 200. That is, the length of Field1 in the Trans Struc will be 200.
    The second field can be the length of Field2 as you need in your ODS, and similarly for Field3 to Field6. Load it as a CSV file. Since there are no commas, the entire line will enter into the first field of the Trans Structure. This can be broken up into individual fields in the Transfer Rules.
    Now, in your Start Routine of transfer rules, write code like this (similar to the ex in the blog):
    Field-symbols <fs> type transfer-structure.
    Loop at Datapak assigning <fs>.
        split <fs>-Field1 at 'ssss' into <fs>-field1 <fs>-field2 <fs>-field3....
        modify datapak from <fs>
    endloop.
    Now you can assign Field1 of Trans Struc to Field1 of Comm Struc, Field2 of Trans Struc to Field2 of Comm Struc and so on.
    Hope it helps!

  • What's the best way to export UTF8 data into Excel?

    Hi,
    Database charterer set is UTF8
         PARAMETER     VALUE
    1     NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET UTF8
    2     NLS_CHARACTERSET     UTF8
    My requirement is that I want to export oracle data into excel file by using UTL_FILE oracle supplied package.
    But while writing data into excel files it’s looses in UTF8 encoding and writes some garbage data into file.
    I am very much sure that while retrieving the data form database it is perfectly encoded with UTF8, but after data is written to the file it eats the UTF encoding resulting into some garbage data.
    e.g.
    I am retrieving this filed from database which is UTF8 encoded in DB “Langäcker 55” but when it is written into excel it becomes “Langäcker 55”.
    Is Oracle UTL_FILE eating the UTF8 encoding while writing into file? if yes, is there utility which can help me to remain the UTF8 encoding as it is while writing in to excel file? Is there anythingi can do in Oracle to get this done?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Until now I have not found anyone who could write real Excel files (MS binary format) in PL/SQL. So I assume that you write your data in strings separated by a character like ; or |, aka CSV.
    Try to open your file with 'wb' (write binary) instead of 'w' and then use
    -- write data
    utl_file.put_raw(v_file,utl_raw.cast_to_raw(<your data>));
    --write remaining data
    utl_file.fflush(v_file);
    --close the file
    utl_file.fclose(v_file);Regards

  • SegregatingTable data into different bucket with equal numebr of

    Hi Guys,
    I wanted to process table data in chunks not all the rows at a time. How can we achieve this in oracle.
    Example :
    I have one table EMP which has ten thousands rows(10,000) rows. Now these ten thousands rows are joined with other tables to process data and it takes time. So I wanted to pass one thousands rows at a time as an input to the procedures so that processing should happen only with 1 thousands rows at a time. This table does not have any primary key. So it there any method in oracle using that I can segregating the tables data into different buckets with equal number of rows.
    I have used DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE but its taking lots of time. Any help will be appreciated.

    I have one table EMP which has ten thousands rows(10,000) rows. Now these ten thousands rows are joined with other tables to process data and it takes time.
    OK... So this is your actual problem. And the solution you are trying to come up with does not sound promising. So lets take a step back and re-think our strategy here. First thing would be how about we see some code? Show us your code that you say is running slow. And we can take it from there. The number 10,000 is a very small number. And if that is causing performance issue then you are in some big trouble.
    And also it wouldn't hurt if you could read this Re: 3. How to  improve the performance of my query? / My query is running slow.

  • How to export image data into XDP

    Hi, All
      I'm working on a healthcare project that needs to export the doctor's signature image into XDP file from the database to fill in the Insurance company claim form. My question is how to export image data into a field node in the XDP file, we know the name of the image field which defined in the PDF form, Is it something like:
      the signature image data ?
    Should the image data in this node be base64 encoded or text encoded or something else?
    Can the image be any kind? e.g. BMP, PNG, JPEG, ..., etc?
    Thanks
    William

    Hi Andre,
    Document will be of ASCII characters right?? but image data will be in binary format. as per database concept it is stored as binary large object. But in datawarehousing the back end is also going to be some database such as Oracle or other DBs.
    which can take blob's. so it would be possible to store the binary data.
    If any one has faced this situation can reply.to this ques.
    can post the step to load image(jpg/bmp or any image format) data in to info cube??
    hi andre if u have done loading image data as you say.pls reply me if you have the steps with you.
    thanks Andre

  • Export XML data into multiple worksheet of an Excel file..using FO processr

    Hi,
    I need to export XML data into Excel output, the data should flow into multiple worksheet of the Excel file.
    Let me know if this can be done using XML publisher. If yes, please provide me the steps to do the same.
    Could not able to achieve this through by the below process:
    (1)     Created a RTF (which has single excel table structure).
    (2)     Generated the XSL file using XSL-FO Style Sheet.
    (3)     Passed the XSL file and XML
    which exported the data into an Excel (single worksheet) format.
    Please let me know, how this can be exported into multiple worksheets.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Dhamodaran VJ.

    Hi Dhamodaran ,
    pass me the template you created and XML. "Created a RTF (which has single excel table structure)."
    Let me have a look at it,

  • How to display rows of data into different columns?

    I'm new to SQL and currently this is what I'm trying to do:
    Display multiple rows of data into different columns within the same row
    I have a table like this:
        CREATE TABLE TRIPLEG(

            CONSTRAINT TRIPLEG_UNIQUE UNIQUE(T#, DEPARTURE, DESTINATION),
            CONSTRAINT TRIPLEG_FKEY1 FOREIGN KEY (T#) REFERENCES TRIP(T#) );
        INSERT INTO TRIPLEG VALUES( 1, 1, 'Sydney', 'Melbourne');
        INSERT INTO TRIPLEG VALUES( 1, 2, 'Melbourne', 'Adelaide');
    The result should be something like this:
    > T#  | ORIGIN  | DESTINATION1  |  DESTINATION2
    > 1   | SYDNEY  | MELBORUNE     | ADELAIDE
    The query should include the `COUNT(T#) < 3` since I only need to display the records less than 3. How can I achieve the results that I want using relational views???

  • Can we send the data into different data target from single datasource how

    Hai
    can we send the data into different data target from single datasource how ?

    Hi,
    Create the transformation for each target and connect through DTP if you are in BI 7.0
    If it is BW 3.5 create transfer rules and load it Info source and then different update rules for different targets then load it using IP.
    If you are speaking about loading data from R3 data source to multiple data sources in BI
    Then follow the below step.
    1)create init IP's and run the IP's with different selection to different DSO(With same selection it is not possible).
    2)Then you will have different delta queues for the same data source in RSA7
    3)Your delta loads will run fine to different data sources from same DS in R3.
    Hope this helps

    Venkatesh

  • Export batch data into CSV file using SQL SP

    Hi,
    I have created WCF-Custom receive adapter to poll Sql SP (WITH xmlnamespaces(DEFAULT 'Namespace' and For XML PATH(''), Type) . Get the result properly in batch while polling and but getting error while converting into CSV by using map.
    Please can anyone give me some idea to export SQL data into CSV file using SP.

    How are you doing this.
    You would have got XML representation for the XML batch received from SQL
    You should have a flat-file schema representing the CSV file which you want to send.
    Map the received XML representation of data from SQL to flat-file schema
    have custom pipeline with flat-file assembler on the assembler stage of the send pipeline.
    In the send port use the map which convert received XML from SQL to flat file schema and use the above custom flat-file disassembler send port

  • Can I export 8i data using 10g client to import it into 10g

    Dear All,
    I have 8i databae and want to import few of its data in 10g.
    Can I do it and how?
    I tried to export using 10g client but not worked.
    Aqeel Nawaz

    Hello,
    You should export the data of the 8i database using the *8i* export utility.
    Then, you import the generated dump to the 10g database with the *10g* import utility.
    Else, you may care of the character set so as to avoid conversion.
    Sorry Azar, I didn't see that you answered already.
    Hope this help.

  • Exporting table data into text files

    I got a request to export the data from about 85 tables into 85 text files. I assume that they will want a header row and some delimiter character. This is a process that must run every night by a sql job.
    Obviously I want it to be flexible. Tables could be addede and removed and columns could be added and removed. There will probably be a control table that has the list of tables to export.
    Looked at bcp - but seems that it is command line only?
    SSIS package?
    What other options are there?

    Wanted to post my solution. Ended up using bcp in a PowerShell Script. I was unable to use bcp in SQL because it requires xp_cmdshell and that is not allowed at many of our client sites. So wrote a Powershell script that executes bcp. The ps script
    loops through a table that contains a row for each table/view to export along with many values and switches for the table/view export: export path, include column headers, enclose each field in double quotes, double up embedded double quotes, how to format
    dates, what to return for NULL integers - basically the stuff that is not flexible in bcp. To get this flexibility I created a SQL proc that takes these values as input and creates a view. Then the PS bcp does a SELECT on the view. Many of my tables are
    very wide and bcp has a limit of 4000/8000. Some of my SELECT statements ended up being GT 35k in length. So using a view got around this size limitation.
    Anyway, the view creation and bcp download is really fast. It can download about 4 gb of data in 20 minutes. It can download it faster the 7z can zip it.
    Below is the SQL proc to format the SELECT statement to create the view for bcp (or some other utility like SQLCMD, Invoke-SQLCMD) or SQL query by "SELECT * from v_ExportData". the proc can be used from SQL or PS, or anything that can call a SQL
    Proc and then read a SQL view.
    IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.objects WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[dbo].[ExportTablesCreateView]') AND type in (N'P', N'PC'))
    DROP PROCEDURE [dbo].[ExportTablesCreateView]
    GO
    CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[ExportTablesCreateView]
    ExportTablesCreateView
    Description:
    Read in a tablename or viewname with parameters and create a view v_ExportTable of the
    data. The view will typically be read by bcp to download SQL table data to flat files.
    bcp does not have the options to include column headers, include fields in double quotes,
    format dates or use '0' for integer NULLS. Also, bcp has a limit of varhar 4000 and
    wider tables could not be directly called by bcp. So create the v_ExportTable and have
    bcp SELECT v_ExportTable instead of the original table or view.
    Parameters:
    @pTableName VARCHAR(128) - table or view to create v_ExportTable from
    @pColumnHeader INT =1 - include column headers in the first row
    @pDoubleQuoteFields INT = 1 - put double quotes " around all column values including column headers
    @pDouble_EmbeddedDoubleQuotes INT = 1 - This is usually used with @pDoubleQuoteFields INT = 1. 'ab"c"d would be 'ab""c""d.
    @pNumNULLValue VARCHAR(1) = '0' - NULL number data types will export this value instead of bcp default of ''
    @pDateTimeFormat INT = 121 - DateTime data types will use this format value
    Example:
    EXEC ExportTablesCreateView 'custname', 1, 1, 1, '0', 121
    @pTableName VARCHAR(128),
    @pColumnHeader INT = 1,
    @pDoubleQuoteFields INT = 1,

  • Can I export Numbers data into a calendar format?

    I have project names and their deadlines in a table and would like to export/view them in a calendar format so I can see, at a glance, what is due when...does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks.
