  • Exports with Oracle Database Vault

    Hi!
    I've running a Database in version 10.2.0.4 and it has installed Oracle Database Vault, wich is running quite well...
    I'm trying to export a schema that is protected with a REALM and only the owner of that schema has permision to access the data. So, users like sys o system can´t access to the data of the schema. It's the aim of Database Vault and it do it well.
    The problem is that I'm performing a export of that schema and it run successfully! I have the .dmp file which I can import in other Databases (with Database Vault no installed) and it runs perfectly!
    So... if Database Vault avoid that user sys can access the data, why it permit to perfom EXPORTS??
    Thank,

  • Export of Oracle Database objects

    Hi,
    I have question on exporting oracle objects.
    Can we export all of oracle objects in form of xml file?
    Like we have exp command to take the dump of database, is there a way to take db dump in form of xml.
    Why xml, because it can be easily read by other languages like Java, plsql, VB and later objects can be created in Database.
    Please suggest me a way to achieve the requirement.
    Thanks in advance

I am not an XML expert but as much as I know about it, it just have tags and you don't want to show your client's credit card number in a text based XML based file under a tag called CreditCard would you? What you can do is that you can get the structure of the table of yours in the XML format using the package dbms_metadata . The data is going to be , at least in my knowledge, would be exported through the export binary and not in XML. Again, I am not an XML expert so I may be wrong too.

  • Enterprise Manager Job for Scripting DataPump Export for Oracle Database Running On MS Windows Server 2008

    Greetings,
    I would like an example of an Enterprise Manager Job that uses an OS Script for MS Windows that would effectively run a datapump export of my Oracle 11g database (11.2.0.3) running on a Windows 2008 server.  My OEM OMS is running on a Linux server with an Oracle 12c repository.  I'd like to be able to set environment variables for date and time, my export file name (that includes SID, and export date and time, job name, and other information pertinent to the datapump export.  Thus far, I have been unsuccessful with using the % delimiter around my variables.  Also, I have put the "cmd/c" as the "Interpreter" but I am not getting anywhere in a hurry :-(
    Thanks  Million!!!

  • Oracle Database Export - 8.1.7.4 on linux

    Hello All,
    With reference to the below Link.
    Oracle Upgrade 8.1.7.4 to 10g in Red hat linux
    I am trying to export the oracle database (8.1.7.4) in our landscape using the installation master - system copy. But I am not able to export the database due  to the  options like (database version 920 and 102) and due to this not able to export the 817 database. But In the sap press books guide they clearly mentioned that its possible to export the database of oracle 817 database. So, I believe I am using the wrong isntallation master.
    If anyone having idea about exporting the 817 oracle database, please let me know

  • Parser - CSV files to Oracle database

    Hello all,
    I wrote a csv parser that parse csv files to micorsoft access database. Now I need to parse the dataset to oracle database. This is part of my exporter class
    class MdbExporter : IExporter
    /// <summary>
    /// Exportiert das DataSet in eine Mdb-Datei.
    /// </summary>
    /// <param name="ds">Zu exportierendes DataSet.</param>
    public void Write(DataSet ds, string[] names)
    string conStr = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" +
    "Data Source=" + names[0] + ";";
    Console.WriteLine("Exporting to database {0} ...", names[0]);
    Any ideas how can I do that?
    Thanks for any replay in advance.

    I wrote a parser that goes through several folders containing csv files, reads them and creates a dataset that contains 15 tables ( which I need for an intranet application after that). I succeed to write a MDB exporter that export this dataset to microsoft access database. Now I need an exporter that will export my dataset to ORACLE database. Below is the full code for my MDB exporter:
    public void Write(DataSet ds, string[] names)
    string conStr = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" +
    "Data Source=" + names[0] + ";";
    Console.WriteLine("Exporting to database {0} ...", names[0]);
    DbConnection connection = new OleDbConnection(conStr);
    try
    connection.Open();
    catch (DbException e)
    ConsoleEx.WriteException(true, e, "Unable to open database: {0}", names[0]);
    throw;
    DbCommand command = connection.CreateCommand();
    foreach (DataTable table in ds.Tables)
    Console.WriteLine("\tDeleting table: {0}", table.TableName);
    // delete old tables
    command.CommandText = string.Format("drop table {0}", table.TableName);
    TryExecute(command, false);
    // create new
    Console.WriteLine("\tCreating new table: {0}", table.TableName);
    string[] columnStrings = new string[table.Columns.Count];
    for (int i = 0; i < table.Columns.Count; i++)
    columnStrings[i] = "`" + table.Columns.ColumnName + "`" + " varchar";
    command.CommandText = string.Format("create table {0} ({1})",
    table.TableName, string.Join(", \n", columnStrings));
    TryExecute(command, true);
    // add rows
    for (int row = 0; row < table.Rows.Count; row++)
    for (int col = 0; col < table.Columns.Count; col++)
    columnStrings[col] = "'" + Convert.ToString(table.Rows[row].ItemArray[col]) + "'";
    command.CommandText = string.Format("insert into {0} values ({1})",
    table.TableName, string.Join(", \n", columnStrings));
    TryExecute(command, true);
    connection.Close();
    I need similar exporter to Oracle database. Starting with SQL LOADER from the beginning its really not a good in my opinion since I am almost done with this approach.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sven

  • Export import - using TOAD FOR ORACLE  and ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS or s

    Hi all,
    Could you please kindly help me?
    I am using TOAD FOR ORACLE to export a table to flat file A. The tool just supports to distinguish fields by "spaces".
    And the web page of ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS to import the data from flat file A to another database. To load data to a table from a text file, the web page bases on "comma" to distinguish fields.
    So could you have any suggestion for me? I need to export data via TOAD FOR ORACLE. And then import it to another database by the home page of ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS or sqlplus.
    Thank you so much for your help!

    Dont use TOAD for exporting your data. Use PL/SQL. Below is the code given in Asktom.com that does what you want.

    Hi,
    I think you can use DBMS_DATAPUMP (10.1+), see [DBMS_DATAPUMP|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_datpmp.htm#i1007277], for examples see [http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_datapump.html]

  • Export database from BerkeleyDB to Oracle Database

    Hi,
    Within the framework of some projetc, for creating reports, I need to export data from BerkeleyDB to Oracle database.
    How can I do it ?

    Hello,
    One way to export data from a Berkeley DB database into an Oracle DB table
    is to use the OCI interface on the Oracle DB side and the C API on the Berkeley DB side. If you have access to "My Oracle Support" an example can be found in Note 797537.1.
