Exporting Jpegs Extremely Slow After Update
Anyone else having issues doing ANY kind of exporting through Aperture? We export thousands of images to Zenfolio, using their export plugin. After the 3.1 software update exporting anything has been painfully slow. I starting exporting an event yesterday at 4PM and it's still exporting this morning. The sad thing is its only a 1100 images. Any advice?

I'm sorry to hear that your export times are so slow. I have to say that after the 10.6.5 update, exports have been exceptionally fast compared to the hours and hours of previous versions.

CINEWARE EXTREMELY SLOW after update AE 13.2 and Yosemite 10.10.2
Hi everybody, I updated AE (13.2.0.49) and OSX (10.10.2) and CINEWARE got extremely slow even If i try to open a basic simple .C4D project file (just 1 cube with no material, lights or others)
I think the updates has problems! Anyone knows something more about that?
ThxThere are a couple of bugs in the 13.2 version of Cineware, but speed issues weren't really one of them that I recall seeing. Considering the amount of problems Yosemite is causing folks with and without Adobe software, I'd be pretty willing to place the blame on Yosemite. It's like the Windows Vista of Mac OSX...
There is an update coming to After Effects this spring that will likely include an update to Cineware to fix some of the bugs. And hopefully it will work around some of Yosemite's issues too. -
Extremely SLOW after update, sound also a problem
Hiya!
I just did a whole bunch of updates, which ones I can't really remember... but all of a sudden my computer is EXTREMELY slow at opening and closing applications (Safari interestingly seems to work alright). Also, it's extremely slow when I type, and ends up several words behind me.
Worst of all, my sound has gone completely haywire. I can't play sound in itunes or anywhere else, it sounds a bit like a youtube video that didn't load properly (you can hear about every 10th word or beat and then it cuts out again.) Does anyone have any idea what is wrong here?
One of my friends suggested the logicboard, but I honestly have no idea what that is. I ran a hardware test thing and nothing came up, so all seems to be good there. Could I have a virus?thanks for the help.... even thought it didn't work...
basically I think i either have some virus or this is the result of that stupid update I did... I know i did that keyboard one an itunes one a quicktime one and there might've been another. -

HT1688 Why is My iPhone 4 is extremely slow after updated to ios7
My Iphone 4 is basically impossible to use after updating it to ios7. When I type a text message I have timed it taking up to 45 seconds before any letters show up. It also is very slow if I am typing in safari for a website.
I did too. I went to Settings > iCloud > Documents and Data, then turned off documents and data, and now it is back to normal. Apparently you cannot take advantage of both on the iphone 4 and 4s.

Safari extremely slow after update?
Posting this for a friend using OS 10.5.8
"I have noticed my Safari suddenly seems very slow.
It shows ‘Loading’ in the box that also shows ‘RSS feed’ in black (that’s normal), but once it goes to the page required, it still shows ‘loading’ but this time it's greyed out.
Sometimes it goes away in a few seconds, other times it remains there.
This has only started happening today. Yesterday I did a software update for it – it was Safari and ProKit (‘fraid I don’t know what ProKit is).
Have you any ideas/can you help at all?"
Any suggestions appreciated
IanHI,
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Web pages now include a small icon or 'favicon' which is visible in the address bar and next to bookmarks. These icons take up disk space and slow Safari down. It is possible to erase the icons from your computer and start fresh. *To delete Safari's icon cache using the Finder, open your user folder, navigate to ~/Library/Safari/ and move this file "webpageIcons.db to the Trash.*
bpageIcons.db to the Trash.*
Make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
If Safari's performance is still on the slow side, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If Safari runs as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.

DVR extremely slow after update
I'm finding that ever since the DVR menus changed to the new look that my DVR is incredibly slow to do do anything. Setting a program to record takes twice as long. Most other functions are very slow also. Guide is slow to load and navigate.
To fix the the slowness press menu, then go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT, then IN HOME AGENT, then SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION.

IPhone 3G is extremely slow after 4.0 update.
Both my sister and I have experienced our phones to be extremely slow after updating them. The messages take a few seconds to open, same with the apps. Also while typing, nothing will show up then all of a sudden everything you had typed will show up. It just seems like everything on the phone is slow. I've done some research on it, and everyone said to restore it. The people at Apple said not to do that unless it's the last resort. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Why post the same question twice ?

Blackberry Z10 became extremely slow after OS update to version 10.3.1.2243
Hi,
My Blackberry Z10 became extremely slow after OS update to version 10.3.1.2243. For example it sends text message 10-15 seconds after send button has been hit.
Can not answer the phone when a caller is calling (answer slide interface is unrespnsovie), if I want to launch any application screen turns black and nothing happens, etc.
Does anyone experience similar issues?
Thank you.
Michal.Hi and Welcome to the Community!
A quick read of this site will answer your final question quite clearly. The "fix" depends on several factors, but given what you describe I recommend you immediately update, via AutoLoader, to the most recent version (.2582)...some of the prior versions contain some particularly challenging issues, which are reported to be fixed in this version.
Good luck and let us know!

Itunes starts extremely slow after an update of windows 8.1.
Itunes starts extremely slow after an update of windows 8.1.
It takes up to 10 minutus.
If I see the appliction log in event viewer then I see the following errors on the Bonjour service.
For instance:
Client application bug: DNSServiceResolve(a8:fa:d8:3a:1e:8f@fe80::aafa:d8ff:fe3a:1e8f._apple-mobdev2._t cp.local.) active for over two minutes. This places considerable burden on the network.
followed by
SendWakeupPacket error: sent -1 bytes: 10065
What can this be?
Already thanks,
JohnI did all the step with save mode and that didn't gave the same result.
Then I created a new account and there itunes started up normally.
So I contued with the user section.
I removed the itunes directory from
c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
This gave the same result in not starting up.
Then I removed the itunes directory from
c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
The a popup appears that the Bonjour Service has been disabled.
I looked in services and saw that is was still running.
But I tried to restart this service and it took a long time to stop this service.
Even if I selected restart the Bonjour Service didn't start.
Manually starting was not a problem.
Clicking OK on the popup let itunes start quickly. And closing and starting it again was also quickly.
So Matt thanks for your answer.
If it happens again I have to see if it was the removing of the itunes directory from roaming or restarting the Bonjour Service. -
My mbp (mid 2010) is running extremely slow after installing some mavericks updates on May 22nd. Earlier I thought this behavior is due to spotlight indexing but it finished after 3 days. I deleted all caches from library. But no luck, still running extremely slow. I checked activity monitor for cpu usage, it shows above 90% is idle. The memory usage always shows PM - 4 GB, Memory Used 3.96 GB, VM - 4 GB, Swaped used 0 bytes, App Memory 1.82 GB, File Cache 1.44 GB, Wired Memory 480 MB.
Thanks in adavnce for help. Was it the combo updater that was installed or the OS X 10.9.3 update. There is a difference.
MORE INFO ON WHY RUNNING COMBO FIXES ISSUES
Apple updates available from the Software Update application are incremental updates. Delta updates are also incremental updates and are available from Apple Downloads (software updates are generally smaller than delta updates). The Combo updates contain all incremental updates and will update files that could have become corrupted.
Combo updaters will install on the same version as they're applying--no need to roll back or do a clean install. So if you think you've got a borked 10.8.4 install from a regular update, just run the 10.8.4 Combo Updater on that system.
"Delta" updaters can only take you from one version to the next. For example: 10.9.1 to 10.9.2. If somehow the 10.9.2 is missing something it should have, and that something isn't changed between 10.9.1 and 10.9.2 it will still be stale after the delta update. -

Macbook Pro running extremely slow since updating to Yosemite
Hello All,
I am new to the community and I'm hoping your pooled expertise can assist me with my issues. I went ahead and posted the results of my diagnostic scan below. My main concerns are that my Macbook Pro is now extremely slow after OSX updates. Also, laptop is running extremely hot to touch. I have mentioned other ongoing issues. I offer thanks in advance for any assistance.
Problem description:
Macbook Pro 13":
Purchased in mid-2010.
Most Recent Issue (Main Concern):
(1) I recently updated OS X from Mountain Lion to Maverick. Computer began running extremely slow and “jerky.”
(1.1) Shortly after this I updated to OS X Yosemite. Computer runs, and types, even slower than before.
Ongoing Issues (Greater than one year):
(1) Extremely short battery life (may last two hours on full charge)
(2) Macbook runs extremely hot to touch (fan runs continuously but can’t begin to keep it cool)
(3) SD Card reader doesn't recognize/open an SD card when inserted.
Lex Cschellings Requested the Following:
No obvious elements in the list.
This may well be a dying disk and/or a very bad battery.
Do following:
make a new etrecheck list and in the problem description put what Applications->Utilities->SystemInformation says about the battery (under the Power heading in the left panel): give cycle count and battery condition.
Then post the link in a new thread.
In the meantime the crash report is probably a French Dictionary issue (font? garcon garçon) you have installed, uninstall that and see if it happens again.
