Exporting Motion project as FLV (Flash)

Does anyone know the best way to export a project as a FLV (flash)?
If that is not possible I think it should be added with the great things you can do to the online streaming.
What does everyone think?

I figured that would be a way, but I was wondering if it could be done straight from Motion its self. I guess I will bring it straight back to FCP to do it.
I still think having that plug in part of motion is a great way to finish up a project that will be going to the web.

  • Exporting project as flv in Premiere Elements 10

I need to export my project file as an flv, but I don't want to export it immediately to Youtube. How do I do this in Adobe Premiere Elements 10? Thank you!

Note that you'll need a Flash player to play this file, of course. (Adobe has a free one.)

  • 720p Motion project stretched vertically on Quicktime export...why????

Everything is fine in my HD 720p24 Motion project. But when it comes to exporting it as a Quicktime movie, the project gets vertically squeezed...as though Motion were squeezing 16x9 into 4x3.
Does anyone know the solution to this problem??? Isn't there a letterbox option in Export settings so that the exported movie remains 16x9???

Or keep it as 960x720 if you want to continue using it in FCP...

  • Motion project exports out of sync

Hi - I'm quite new to motion and have just learned to use it for keying - however I'm quite perplexed by the fact that whenever I export my finished project, it plays back out of sync. I am working at HDV 1080i50 mode, (fairly certain there is nothing telling the machine it's NTSC or anything...)
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Best wishes, Dan

HDV files are probably to hefty to be using in Motion. Try exporting them as Pro Res and reconnecting them. You could also try to bring the Motion Project into FCP and exporting from there.... On other thoughts, does your project have a separate audio file being used? If so, You might want to export the audio file as another format or change it's bit rate.

  • MOTION not allowing export of project after MAVERICKS upgrade.  What do I do?!

After upgrading to MAVERICKS, MOTION 5 has no response when I choose to export my project.

When you say "no response", what do you mean? Does the share menu not come up? Are the options grayed out?  Does Motion freeeze? You'll need to be more specific.
As starting points, I'd recomend deleteing the application and re-installing it.  Also, do you use any third party applications like MacKeeper?

  • Export Motion HD project to SD DVD

I currently have a project in Motion (1440X1080) that I would like to export to SD DVD use.  I know that the final format needs to be MPEG-2 but after doing so the quality significantly downgrades.  For example, the color looses some of its luster and the text becomes jagged.  I've tried using Compressor with no success.  Any ideas?

Using DVD Studio Pro.  I was hoping to create one Motion project and export one in HD and one in SD.  Will have just have to create an SD project?  Will this remedy the issue?

  • Motion Project clip in FCP clip does not export

    Dear All,
I edited one clip from FCP 06 sequence with Motion Project and replaced the original clip with the motion project version. I did frame blending effect on the original FCP clip, which had 25% slow motion applied (constant) through FCP. After the clip was replaced with the new one, I exported the whole sequence from FCP to a couple of formats through Compressor (a custom DVD and a custom H.264 formats), the fragment where the Motion Project clip supposed to be did not show the effect of the frame blending. However it shows fince on the timeline in FCP.
    I will appreciate any suggestions,
    Izabela

    Hi Izabela,
Did you render the Motion effects in FCP prior to sending to Compressor? Are you using the 'Send to Compressor' (Not that that is wrong, it's just so I know your workflow)?
If it's just the Frame blending that is a problem for you just check your sequence settings in FCP. With the sequence window selected do Cmd-0(zero) to open the sequence settings. In the Render Control tab under Master Templates and Motion Projects, change the Quality to Best and tick the box underneath.
Now check to see if the Motion clip has become unrendered. If not, double click it and in the viewer goto the Motion tab and change the scale then back to it's original setting (just to unrender the clip). Now rerender the clip and retry your send to compressor.

  • Motion Project Won't Export

So, one of my editors in a different town is having an issue that has me stumped... Hopefully someone can help.
He's trying to export a :30 project from motion. It's a commercial base as the bottom layer, and a bunch of text and CG over the top of the ad. Really simple.
When he gets in the export window, he's set at DV-NTSC, and then has the compressor set to Animation. When he goes to click on the export button, he just gets the 'beep' sound effect that he's doing something wrong.
When he uses the "Export Using Compressor" setting it works fine. When he drags the motion project over his FCP timeline, it works fine. It just won't export using the 'normal' way.
He's using a 2.GHz Intel IMac with 2 GB RAM -OS 10.4 and Motion 2 - updated two weeks ago with all the latest... He has about 350GB of space available where he's trying to save it, so that ain't the issue...
    Anybody got any ideas?

Take a look at this thread and see if the solution helps.

  • Exporting SD DV  to FLV - pan has horizontal blink

    Hello all,
Source: SD DV, VOB - DV
    Premiere CS4
I have encountered this problem. I'm trying to export my project to an FLV file in many various settings. Everything was quite all right except some pan shots, shots with camera movements have some blinking horizontal lines, not too much but visible (I hope this is a good description). Those lines are not apparent in the source footage. Only after export.
    I've tried:
all of the field options (deinterlace, remove flicker and all of the others), removing blending frames, different bit rates, frame size, frame size as a multiplication of 16, frame rate as source, 25 fps.
I'm still about to try f4v, 2 pass and CBR...
Perhaps if you add a slow motion effect, blur or anything else?
Has anyone encountered this phenomena? Does anyone have a clue as to what the solution to this may be?

    Hi
    Maybe this is what's happening...
Your source stuff is interlaced and your export is progressive.  In essence you lose half your horizontal resolution when you do that...as you are going from having two fields per saved frame to having one "field" or "frame"....
The difference wouldn't be that noticeable when there is no motion cause the lost field in translation isn't going to be that noticeable when there's not a lot of movement ( action )...
As the action increases ( this could be the camera moving or the talent (subject ) moving...amounts to the same thing..." movement "...sooo, when that happens in the export ( the way the codec interprets the frames )...you could get some ....
    1) artifacts
    2) flashing horizontal lines...which is basically the "missing" information" ..
Normally your source video and your export video would be the same...for the best product
If you half the size of your export file ( say from 720x480 to half the size ) and go progressive from interlaced you have a much better chance to not see any artifacts and missing information....
It's actually a tribute to Premiere that it can complete this kind of export and deal with such disparate circumstances....

  • Exporting from FCP to FLV

I have begun to produce multimedia features (audio slide shows, stills combined with audio, no video yet) using FCP. I bit the bullet and bought the whole Final Cut Studio because I figured I would need many of the programs in the suite.
My first sizable client wants me to deliver the features not as QT files, but as .flv flash files. Is there a way to export my FCP project as an .flv file for this client with what I already have (all the FCP Studio apps) or do I still need to buy additional software? I have been researching this a bit and what I've come across so far are the following options:
    1. buying flash and thus being able to export via compressor (but this seems like overkill considering flash is very expensive and I don't need it for anything else)
    2. buy Sorenson Squeeze, but this also seems like an expensive option at $500 - 600.
    3. I read somewhere on this forum that you can export to H.264 using compressor, and then simply change the suffix from .mov to .flv. Does anyone know if this really works?
To date most of my clients ask me to deliver content as QT .mov files, or in some cases make DVDs for them. I am unenthusiastic about spending $5-600 for Sorenson Squeeze unless there is no other good way, as this is the only client who has requested delivery in .flv files for their flash web server.
Is there any other high quality, reliable way to do this within the Final Cut Pro Studio set of apps, or do I have to invest more money?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance for any advice.
    Paula Lerner

I have been doing some research and testing, and for anyone who's interested I have some new information, and also a few new questions.
My One to One Apple trainer turned me on to something called MPEG Streamclip which is a free download (just google it for the link). I tested it and the result was pretty decent. I also discovered that there is a less expensive Squeeze option called Squeeze 5 for Flash ($199) and Squeeze 5 for Flash Pro ($299). Beyond the $39 Flix Standard that G. mentioned here, On2 also makes Flix Exporter, which is a plug in for Final Cut Pro, and costs $199. I will be testing it shortly.
My question now is has anybody on this forum been using the Flix Standard, or either Squeeze 5 for Flash (pro or non-pro version), and have any opinions as to how they compare? I'm trying to figure out the relative pros and cons to each one so I can make an informed decision.
    Thanks for any feedback.

  • Importing Motion Project into DVD Studio Pro

I'm new to Motion and I'm using it to create an animated DVD menu. I have an overlay layer for the DVD highlights in my Motion project. Now, I understand that I'm importing my Motion project as an asset. How do I tell DVDSP to use that overlay layer or do I need to export the layer as something else and import it into DVDSP?

You need to export your overlay as a still image, then import that image into DVDSP, drag it onto the menu, and select set overlay. Make sure you turn off the visibility of the overlay back in your Motion project so it doesn't appear as part of the menu.

  • Unable to export from Captivate 4 to Flash CS4

    Hello everyone!
I am attempting to export a captivate project over to flash CS4.  However when it goes from captivate over to flash the result is basically a slide show. It does not show any of the animations that are present in Captivate. I also keep recieving an error message.
I have searched for how to solve this problem for quite a while now and so far have come up with nothing.
This is the error message that flash gives me:
The following elements in your project have not been converted. They are not supported by this importer.
    508 Compliance
A swf animation slide has been imported. The following files must be made available at publish time:
    Project01_slide_22_0.swf
    DefaultPreloader.swf
Please make sure you publish the project to “C:\Documents and Settings\jmillard\Desktop.” Saving the project to this directory will ensure that test project will work with the swf animation slides.
Unfortunately I am on a tight schedule to get this project done and the Captivate 4 and Flash CS4 I am using are both 30 day trials, so I am in quite a hurry.
If you could please help me I'd greately appreciate it!

When you click on <Send Book to Blurb> a dialog should come up that asks for your ID and password for your Blurb account. I don't know if Blurb ships to Norway - you probably can find out at the Blurb website. But I don't think that this is the problem here since you also cannot export a PDF or JPGs.
I don't know of any specifics why this is not possible for you but it's worth trying to replace the Preference File.
This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
BTW: Re-installing Lr or updating / upgrading Lr does not replace the Preference File since it is designed to "survive" upgrades.
