External display font size

I guess this is a request for the next software update - please enable users to enlarge the font size/screen layout for the messaging previews that appear on the external screen.  It is very hard to read as is.
Thanks!

I'll second that!  Can't believe BB loaded a gazillion fonts and sizes for the interior display but no way to apply them to the external display too.  What were y'all thinking?

  • How to change the default window size display font size on Lync 2013 main window?

    Hi champs,
Just a simple non-technical question: How to change the default window size display font size on Lync 2013 main window on Windows 7 desktop?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.

  • I have an imac and want to increase the display font size.

I am able to increase the font size of e.g. webpages and outlook messages, but it is the font size of menus and headings for all programmes that are far too small for a much bigger screen than the PC I have just been using - i can't see a way of changing these. Zooming in does not help increasing the size of these menus.

    Lower the display's resolution.

  • BB noob here ... time display font size

i've tried Screen/Keyboard, adjusting the font size there, to no effect
i've tried searching the forums (i promise)
if you've a solution, i'd enjoy hearing about it
    many thanks,

    Open Pages.
In the lower-left corner of the Pages window you will see a percentage.
    Increase it.

  • Change label display font size?

Wondering if there's a way to change the font size on the labels below folder and image icons. May well be right in front of me and I've just missed it. Thank you.

There are many that would like that option, but presently there is none.  Perhaps submit a feature request.

  • W520 External Display Incorrect Size/Ratio

    Hi,
I have recently ran into problems with my W520 w/ Nvidia 2000m when connecting to an ViewSonic 1920*1080 external display. I just want to clarify that I have been using this setup for about 2 month with a HDMI to Displayport connector and it have worked fine.
Yesterday. I plugged in my Displayport connector before I started the computer. Usually, I start then plug in once startup is complete.  After doing so, the computer started up thinking my external is the main startup display. After startup, the proportion of the display is totaly wrong. I checked my resolution, it still says 1920*1080 but it seems that my thinkpad believes that the display's ratio is maybe 4:3 or 1:1 instead of 16:9. So, basically, everything on my external is elongated so I cant see the top or bottom of my desktop. It is like my graphics card think my external display is bigger than it really is.
I have tried to use Nvidia resize calibration, but it actually take away pixels from 1080 down to 810. I have also deleted by nvidia drive and reinstalled with no promise.
Any input is always appreciated and thanks in advance!

    hey dy58,
could you uninstall all graphic drivers. let windows install its generic drivers.
with the generic drivers install, try again your setup and see if the aspect ratio is proper.

  • How to change displayed font size in calc?

I've got a user that has the following problem... The fonts inside of certain spreadsheets are too small for her to read easily. I'm looking for a way to set a default magnification value for her in StarOffice.
As it stands now, the screen resolution and the StarOffice UI magnification are appropriate for her. However, she has to access spreadsheets that other people create, and the fonts inside are too small for her. It's quite a hassle (as she deals with large quantities of them) to change the "view" magnification for the spreadsheet each time she opens its. Even if she does that, it's lost the next time she opens the file (she doesn't edit, but just views). If she did save it, then the font would just be too big for the next user (and that doesn't solve the problem of all the new ones that won't be changed).
So, unless someone has a different way of approaching it, I'm looking to find out how to change her StarOffice setup to override the view magnification stored in the spreadsheet and replace it with a default of her own!
    Thanks,
    Brian

That's exactly what we're trying to avoid. This user pops open spreadsheets hundreds of times a day, just to grab a couple numbers off of them. Having to do the view/zoom thing becomes a significant slowdown.
I ended up solving this with the help of the oooforums people who gave me a script that automagically changes the view/zoom whenever my user opens a spreadsheet.

  • How to increase font size in form that comes to me?

Hi guys, how would I go about increasing the size of the form content that I receive when clients fill in this form: http://www.gvcheese.co.nz/nett_wholesale.html
I've tried applying classes to the text fields but this has no effect on the form data.
    Thanks in advance for advice,
    Jo

Your Form to email processing script sends data to your email address, right?  If you're having trouble reading your email, change your display font sizes.
    Win XP:
Control Panel ->  Appearance and Themes -> Display -> Appearance -> Font Size.
    Win Vista:
Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Personalization -> Adjust Font Size.
    Win 7:
Control Panel-> All Control panel items-> Display.

  • Somyac Font Zoomer ruined my font size??

I have a nokia n8 with anna. I recently installed font zoomer 3.20 full version. From there i notice a bug (wheneven in the photo gallery the options/exit buttons are in black instead of white making them impossible to see on a black background) so i uninstalled the font zoomer app.
once uninstalled i restarted my phone only to see that my font size had shrunk. Large font was now normal size. Normal font was now small size. and small font was now extra small size. I have tried re-installing and hitting restore font size and uninstalling font zoomer at least 15 different ways with no success. Along with messing with the font settings in messaging>options>font size and messing with settings>phone>display>font size with no success. And have also did the soft battery reset of holding the top button down for 10 seconds. none of this worked.
Is there any files or something I could delete or do to fix my issue without hard resetting the phone?? Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Though the Hard Reset wipes everything from the Phone memory only, you may require to re-install some of the applications that are installed on your Memory Card because the attributes if any that gets created in the Phone memory to run these gets erased too.
Most probably, re-installing the Firmware sounds a better option, though a Back-up is always recommended...

  • Photoshop Elements file info font size

The text size in Photoshop elements is rather small. By Text I mean the font size for commands.  I can live with it most of the time but when adding text to the File Info field I find it very hard to read and check spellling.  Is there any way to increase font size or magnify what one sees.  For example in Windows, Control Panel, Display I can adjust the display font size but that seems to have no effect in PE.  Any ideas?

Yes, even if you set the UI font size to 200%, that has no effect on the font size of the Information dialog in the editor.
My suggestion is to use the Organizer to input your information. I have set the font size in Windows (not in Elements) to 125% for my 1920 x 1200 24" display.
It's comfortable to input file properties in the Information panel on the right. For the IPTC data, click on the icon with three dots to open the IPTC dialog.

  • Display font in Photoshop (menus, tools, etc)

I've been searching for two days for a way to increase the display font size in CS4 (WIndows 7). In the process, I found that the same problem exists in Cs5. I am using a 21" monitor in its native resolution and would go blind trying to see the menus and the tools.
    1. Once again, does anybody know if it's possible to increase the font size?
    2. If it is not possible, I have to say that I find the programmers at Adobe to be incredibly lacking sensitivity: not everybody has the eyes they had at 17
    Oliver

You can change the size of the menus by using Windows Color and Appearance>Advanced Appearance Settings under Menu.
This however is a global windows setting which means all the programs will be effected.
One thing is that cs4/cs5 will have bigger menus but unlike previous photoshop versions i.e cs3 the menu title will not change.

  • Change font size? - NEED ANSWER

I've scanned this discussion and see many people asking the same question but no answers:
Is it possible to change the displayed font size in the calendar view?
If it simply isn't possible please be kind enough to tell us.
    Thank you.

I know of no way to change the font size in iCal on-screen. You can change the font size on printed calendars from iCal. On the right hand side of the print screen there is a small pull down menu labeled "Text Size".
Changing the color key for a calendar, thus changing the color of that calendars events in the calendar might make it easier to read.
You can submit feedback to Apple for many of their applications. (I don't know if they pay attention to this feedback, but at least they provide a mechanism for sending them our opinions). Select "Provide iCal Feedback..." in the iCal menu.
Apple has made minor improvements to iCal over the last 4 years, but I feel like it is due for some feature enhancements. This would be first on my list. Perhaps if they get enough feedback they will make some good changes.

  • How do I increase the font size

We have a new iMac and the font is so little that it can hardly be read.  This happens on everything.  How can it be increased so a normal person can read it.  Help!

Select the Desktop and press COMMAND-J to open the View dialog. Set the desired font size from the dropdown menu. Now select a Finder window and set the desired font size there. Do the same for all your windows until you have it set as you like it.
When you open any applications there usually is a default display font size you can set. In Safari you can set a minimum font size in the Advanced panel of Safari preferences.
Open Accessibility preferences in System Preferences and turn on Zoom so you can enlarge any window or screen if there is no other way to make it more readable.
These techniques do not require changing the display resolution. I would only suggest that as a last course because LCD displays have default resolutions that provide the highest quality image. Changing that also can reduce image quality.

  • Why different display fonts?

When I receive emails from different people the font sizes used to display them are quite variable. What sets the display font size? My understanding is that it is not the sender's email program, and if that is correct, it must be mine. So why the differences?

Some messages display a small font size and some do not. Others are italic (which I presume the originator intended), most are not. One I receive that has a small font size is displayed in normal font size on the sender's (PC) computer. If I use Thunderbird for the email program (using Original HTML for the display setting) it displays these emails as normal size.
