External Web services in WebDynpro

hi,
We have a requirement of developing an application which uses external web services in web dynpro.
Does anybody have any document or link as how to go about.
we tried working on that but when creating a Adaptive Web Sertvice Model and giving the external WSDL url we are getting an error as
error in loading the WSDL file.
Are there any prerequisites in order to use an External Web Service.
PLease help.
Thanks and regards,
Kris

Hi gopi krishna ,
check the following link , it gives step by step procedure to use an external webservice in webdynpro.
U need to configure the HTTP proxy not to get that error , all details will be available in that link , hope it will be useful check it,

  • External web service call from WebDynpro for ABAP

    Hi...
    I'm inspecting Web Dynpro For ABAP, and trying to call external web services.
    I'm created Web Service, CAF-AS.
    I create the proxy class(se80) and Logical Port(lpconfig), and I take the web service in componentcontoroller of my web dynpro using Web Dynpro Wiserd.
    Though I expected the context to be registered by the same type as the service interface,
    they are created strange structure as follow.
    <Context>
    CONTEXT
    ---FIND_BY_PARAMS
    IMPORTING
    INPUT
    CONTROLLER
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_REQ
    ---EXPORTING
    OUTPUT
    CONTROLLER
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_RES
    The CONTOROLLER is defined by the type PRXCTRLTAB, and
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_* has deep structure, as follow.
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_REQ
    ---CONTROLLER    type:PRXCTRLTAB(structure)
    ---QUERY_TABLE  type:ZTABLE_NAME
    ---QUERY_FIELD   type:ZFIELD_NAME
    ---QUERY_OPTIONS  type:ZORDER_TEXT_QUERY_OPTION_TAB
    I want to use only service paralmeters,  that is named query_*.
    I tried to excute the webService but dump  "OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED" occurs.
    I think I must set any value to CONTOROLLER,?but I have no idea What & How I should set value.
    please let me know, what is the CONTOROLLER, and how to call external web services.
    Regards,
    Naoya Tsugo,

  • Stub(Proxy) generation for external Web Service in SAP NW WebAS 6.40

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me what tool is used to generate the proxy files for accessing any external web services in SAP NetWeaver WebAS 6.40 for JAVA (SAP DevStudio 2.0.5).
    Do i have to install any components or configuration for using external web services?
    Thanks,
    Mital.

    Hi Peter,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I have already gone through the Email Web Service tutorial. And implemented the tutorila.But no where they have mentioned about the toolkit they are using to generate stub files and SOAP request.(for eg Axis tool for WSDL to java generation).
    Also I am facing problems while I am trying to use an external webservice. I have posted the problem at Re: WebDynpro External Web Service Model.
    It would be nice if uyou can go through the problem and help me in solving the problem.
    Also can you please tell me the link for the mentioned documents on importing web service model.
    Thanks,
    Mital.

  • Deliver data to external web service possible in OBIEE 11g?

    Hi all,
    I'm looking into the possibility of "pushing" data from OBIEE and out to an external web service, e.g. through executing a scheduled report that instead of delivering the result on screen, it would call an external web service that would consume the generated data for storage in an external system.
    Does anyone know if this is possible to implement in OBIEE 11g? (So far, all I've found is how to display data in OBIEE through consumation of web service(s), but I'd like to "push out" data to a web service from OBIEE).
    Regards,

  • Using an external web service  and local element declarations

    I am attempting to use (call) an external web service from workshop
    8.1. It seems that if the web service's schema contains local element
    declarations with the same name then workshop will generate incorrect
    JCX code because it doesn't scope the generated classes.
    I think the following simple example will do a better job explaining
    than that last paragraph ;). In the following WSDL, the element
    "testLocalDec" is used inside two different element types. In XML
    Schema this is not a problem because each one is "scoped" by the
    element types its included in. However, the generated JCX (listed
    second) simply contains the testLocalDec structure twice which causes
    problems in Java.
    Is there some workaround for this? Note that making this element
    declaration in the WSDL will not work because they are different
    structures (with different names).
    Also see my next email around using XMLBeans with external services
    (since that could be a workaround if I knew how to do it).
    thanks,
    dave

    I am able to hit external ws from soap ui and getting response but while calling from soa suite getting this error.
    Any clues?
    Thanks
    Vibhor

    WS Binding: exception durign SOAP invocation: java.util.NoSuchElementException
    Looks like the error is in the data sent to or expected from the service in your composite. Check that audit logs and composite flow to make sure your soap message when using soapui matches what you are working with in soa suite.

  • Unexpected element name: expected error while invoking external web service

    Hi,
    In JDeveloper when I invoke external web service call, I am getting following exception
    "unexpected element name: expected=..."
    But the same application works fine in .NET. Can someone help me as to why I am getting the exception only in JDeveloper and how to fix this exception.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Without more information, it will be hard to help, and tell you what could be teh issue.
    Usually, this kind of error occurs when the payload and the WSDL schema are out of sync, for example if the order of the element on the wire do not match the order in a sequence declaration, you may get this error.
    In such case, .NET handle the XML as if it was a 'all' -- no specific order -- and deserialize the message properly.
    Hope this helps,
    -eric

  • Error when calling an external web service (blank soap action)

    I did a lot of searching on this message and did not find an answer. Most of the issues i found related to XI/PI, which we are not using.
    There is a web service created outside of SAP for which i generated (from the WSDL) a proxy class in my DEV system, client 050, a few years ago. This was subsequently moved to QA and production, and all is working fine.
    Now, i want the same web service to work in client 100. I created the logical port, and the RFC destination, but when i try to call the web service, i get the following error
    Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction
    Since only the basis group around here can access the logical port definition,and rfc destination, i have no idea where this information should be set up. I should not have to reimport the WSDL, since the proxy was imported from DEV to QA and it is working in QA client 050. There is something i need to set up, specific to client 100, and i am missing it. I looked in SOAMANAGER, and i didnt see anything even set up  there for client 050, so i did set up anything for client 100.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I tried adding the web reference in a console app and works fine. In the plugins this can't be done, because the plugins are deploy in database.
    I tried another basic test using ChannelFactory. Only want to retrieve some entity through the external web services:
    IPluginExecutionContext context = localContext.PluginExecutionContext;
    IOrganizationService service = localContext.OrganizationService;
    ITracingService tracer = localContext.TracingService;
    try
    BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding();
    binding.Name = "BasicHttpBinding_IAxxisWcfServices";
    binding.Security.Mode = BasicHttpSecurityMode.None;
    binding.Security.Transport.ProxyCredentialType = HttpProxyCredentialType.None;
    binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.None;
    EndpointAddress endpoint = new EndpointAddress(@"http://*****.svc");
    ChannelFactory<IAxxisWcfServices> factory = new ChannelFactory<IAxxisWcfServices>(binding, endpoint);
    IAxxisWcfServices channel = factory.CreateChannel();
    var entity = channel.FindByEntities(new CRM.Application.Context.Dtos.Asegurado( { CrmGuid = "7C3E96C6-C3BC-E411-80DF-0A736AE14667" }, null, new CRM.Framework.Session() { User = "***", Password = "***" });
    catch (Exception ex)
    throw new InvalidPluginExecutionException(ex.Message);
    That test threw the following exception on the GenericParameterAttributes of channelType of factory object:

  • Invoking an external web service through a JCD with Basic Authentication

    Group,
    I am trying to invoke an external web service (written in ASP.Net) from a jcd (5.1.2). The web service is guarded by Basic Authentication. I have entered the crudentials into the External Web service environment component and deployed the project. I receive the following error from the .invoke() method:
    request requires HTTP authentication: Unauthorized
    I have tried the same request through SoapUI using the same crudentials and get back the response correctly. Has anyone tried invoking an external web service with basic authentication through a jcd in 5.1.2 before?
    One other item of note. I have another jcd calling a different external web service deployed on the same domain. I hope that this isn't interfering with the execution of this service as it doesn't require any crudentials to execute.

    Hey Chris.
    I am just starting to write a jcd that calls an external web service but cannot find any sample code nor instructions on how to do it in the supplied documentation. Could you send me a code sample from your one?
    Cheers
    Matt

  • Error in Invoking External Web Service in BPEL

    Hello,
    I have a Temperature Conversion Web Service deployed on an external server.
    I want to invoke this Web Service in my BPEL process.
    I got the wsdl loacation of the Web Service as "http://webservices.daelab.net/temperatureconversions/TemperatureConversions.wso?WSDL" and then in my workspace, I created a Web Service out of that WSDL.
    My idea was to create a web service out of that WSDL and then to deploy that web service on SOA server so that i can invoke that deployed service in my BPEL process, but when i am creating a web service out of that WSDL , and trying to test the webservice in my local oc4j, i am gettting a fault exception.
    Am i doing anything wrong ? Is there any other alternative to call a external web service in BPEL?
    Thanks
    Nutan

    Hi,
    you are on the wrong track....
    Open your BPEL. Put the http://webservices.daelab.net/temperatureconversions/TemperatureConversions.wso?WSDL into a PartnerLink and wire an invoke against this PartnerLink....
    Put the parameters via assign into the variables.
    Done...
    Why do you want to create an interal webservice and invoke this one via BPEL? Do you want to invoke the external webservice from the internal one?

  • Consuming an External Web Service using HTTPS and WS Security

    Hello everyone,
    I'm having a problem setting the security information in a SOAP header using a generated ABAP Client Proxy to consume an external web service that requires a User ID and Password in the Header section of the SOAP message.  I need to use HTTPS. I'm on a WAS 7.01 SP08 system so from my readings, SAP is supposed to be able to add the username and password into the header section of the message.  I can't seem to get SAP to add this information added to the header.
    Here are the steps that I have taken to set the security values.
    1) Created the client proxy from the WSDL in SE80.  Basic Authentication on the Configuration tab was turned on automatically.
           Note, Transport Security is set to None.  I cannot change it.
    2) Created an outbound set user name profile in transaction WSPROFILE with the appropriate username and password.
    3) Added the profile to the default port in transaction LPCONFIG as an outbound under the WS Security section of the screen.
    When I called the external Web Service, I got back the following error message:
    com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.SoapSecurityException: WSEC5509E: A security token whose type is [http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#UsernameToken] is required.
    So, after reading through this Forum, I saw that I needed to use the SOAMANAGER.  I set up a Proxy in the SOAMANAGER and manually created the Logical Port.  This was the only way I could figure out how to set the Authentication Settings in the Logical Port to "User ID / Password".  I then entered the User ID and Password.
    However, I am still getting the same error message.  I feel I am close but missing some small configuration to tell SAP to use WS Security with a Username token.
    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Stephen

    I had this error again so I thought I would post my solution:
    The issue is SAP needs to know the certificates being used by the web site being called.  These certificates are automatically installed in your browser but need to be manually installed in SAP.  This is what I did:
    How to find/install new certificates
    Make sure you run Internet Explorer as an Administrator so you can export the certificates
    Go to the web site that SAP is trying to call in Internet Explorer
    Double click on the lock in the address bar
    View certificates
    Find the certificates that are being used
    Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Certificates
    Click on the “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” tab
    Find the certificate identified in step iii
    Export as a CER certificate
    Click on the “Intermediate Certification Authorities” tab
    Find the certificate identified in step iii
    Export as a CER certificate
    Go to STRUST in SAP
    Import the Certificates in the “Anonymous” or “Standard” SSL client
    Save
    RESTART the ICM via t-code SMICM  <-- Critical!!!
    Test
