Facebook and Twitter links in Mail

Hello everyone,
I am trying to add picture links to Facebook and Twitter to our email signatures, but can't seem to find a way to do it on the Mac Mail program.
I am currently running 10.4.11 and Mail 2.1.3 (I know it's old but they're work computers).
Is it true that this is impossible? I am able to see the images and click the links if I get an email from someone else, but can't put them in mine.
I don't need the links to automatically make the reader Like or Follow us, just a link to the page is enough (although if that is possible I would like it).
If anyone can offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Here are the codes:
Facebook:
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/UnitedPKG">
<img title="Facebook Like Button" src="http://www.massstreetmusic.com/images/logos/facebook-f.jpg?1285599167" />
</a>
Twitter:
<a href="http://www.twitter.com/UnitedPackaging">
<img title="Twitter Follow Button" src="http://wealthforcommongood.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/twitter-t-logo.jpg?84c d58" />
</a>
I have no experience in coding, but I just found one online and substituted my own information in. I tested it on this site, which I found on Google and it seemed to work fine.
I just tried it again (the method where you save the code as a Web Archive and then replace it) and the signature simply came up as the code, instead of the picture. I also only tried the Facebook button, so I know the problem isn't because I'm trying two at a time.

  • Adding Facebook and Twitter links to iWeb

    Can anyone explain how to add FB and Twitter logos and links to my entry page/
    Thanks

    If you are looking to link to your facebook or twitter page like shown on my contact page it is done pretty much as "milknjuice" has said.
    http://jeffnitschke.com/Contact.html
    However, if you are looking to add a facebook "like this Page" it doesn't work when publishing to mobileme.
    I do not use twitter so, I am not sure if "re-tweet" or whatever falls to thew same issues or not.

  • Facebook and Twitter links

    Wondering how to generate and insert just the "f" for Facebook and "t" for Twitter into my iweb site. I am not looking for the profile badges but just the letters as seen on many sites. When someone clicks on the "f" or "t" they would be directed to my accounts. Thanks for the help

    Type a large F and T and make them a Hyperlink.
    Or use an image with those letters.
    Or use their icons: [facebook|http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en&q=facebook%20ico n&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=nl&tab=wi] and [twitter|http://images.google.com/images?hl=nl&client=safari&rls=en&resnum=0&q= twitter%20icon&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi]

  • Facebook and Twitter sharing not working.

    I have Facebook and Twitter sharing setup on my MBP a few months back and have used it frequently with no problems. However just recently, whenever I try to post status updates from Safari or Notification Center, the contextual menus do not appear.
    Any help on this?

    First, I would eject whatever it is that you downloaded. Go to Finder and eject it that way or depending how you have your system set up, do the two finger tap and Eject it. Download the link above. Once it downloads, double click it to install it. It should work. If it doesn't you need to use your Disk Utility to check for errors. Click your Finder again and then Applications. Scroll down to Utilities and then Disk Utility. Click on your hard drive and you will get a menu of items on the right side. Towards the bottom, you will see a button to Verify Disk Permissions. Click that and let it run. It may take a few minutes to finish. Once it's finished there may be a list of things wrong with your system. Click the Repair Permissions and let the computer do it's thing. Use Disk Utility at least once a month to make sure everything is in order on your system. If this doesn't fix it, I don't have any other suggestions. I'd hate to say do a fresh install but that might be the next step if this doesn't work.
    Something else to consider is that is if you use Time Machine and the system did work at one point, you could go back to the last known good point and reinstall that back-up. You would lose anything you have saved since that point (obviously). If you take steps to back up your information, that should not be an issue. (For me), Time Machine works as advertised. If you are not backing system up regularly, shame on you. You need to start ASAP backing up. It's an easy process and it's times like you are having now, that make the small preventive maintenance, worth extra time and effort.
    Good luck.

  • Facebook and Twitter Posts not Working in Notification Center??!

    Ok right now I am REALLY confused. About a week ago, I went to post something on twitter. Naturally, instead of having to go to twitter.com and signing in, I used the Notification center "Click to Tweet" button to make my post. It worked just as you would expect. The little screen popped up, I typed my post and tweeted it.
    Just a few days ago, both the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stopped working. I can click on them all I want, but the little index card-like screen never shows up. I don't know what the issue is, since I had both buttons working a few days ago. To try solving the issue I:
    1. Went into the settings for notifications and "Hid" the buttons from Notification center (that didn't work)
    2. Removed both my accounts from my laptop and re-added them (that didn't work)
    3. Checked to see that the password was correctly typed in... it was (and that still didn't work)
    The only thing I have left to do is try shutting down my laptop and restarting it. However I recently had some iPhoto software updates that required the laptop to be restarted. Even though this was after the problem started, it still didn't fix it.
    One more thing to note is that in Safari where the "Share" button is... that still works fine. I shared a website I was on to Facebook and it posted successfully. The only problem is the functions in Notification Center.
    If anybody has a solution to this issue where the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stop functioning for Notification center, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

    NOTE- One other thing. Notifications from Facebook and Twitter still work, however. For instance, I just got a friend request approved on Facebook and that appeared as it should with the little banner notification as well as it appearing in my list of notifications. Somebody re-tweated my tweet and that appeared there too. The only thing that isn't working is the posting features.

  • Facebook and twitter sharing problem

    I'm have trouble using Facebook and Twitter integration in Mountain Lion. When I click 'Click to Tweet', or 'Click to Post', nothing happens; I don't get the notecard looking thig, and it's like I never clicked the button. Same thing with sharing from an app, except for Twitter. I receive notifications from both just fine, but I'm unable to post. I can tweet something from the sharing menu (link to a webpage with Safari, for example), but Icannot send a tweet using the 'Click to Tweet' button in Notification Center. Also, I cannot post to Facebook by neither sharing nor the 'Click to Post' button. So far I have tried sharing with Safari, Finder, and Preview, all with the same results. (Facebook sharing with iPhoto does work, but I don't believe that is integrated with OS X.)
    I have also tried the following, with no luck:
    Checked my settings on the Facebook and Twitter sites.
    Removed my acounts and re-added them.
    Obviously, my internet connection is working.
    Added my Facebook account to the 'Guest User' account, and another administrator account.
    Had a friend add his Facebook account to his own (limited) account on my computer--he could not post to Facebook either.
    I believe the last two things I tried indicate that this is a system-wide problem. A couple more things to note: 1) there is no kind of error message; it just sits there, like nothing happend, no 'spinning wheel' or anything. 2) It DID work before. Twitter worked when I first upgraded to Mountain Lion, and Facebook worked when I installed the 10.8.2 update. I don't use either often enough to know when exactly they stopped. I add that I raed about people who could solve it reapplying the update combo, i tried it but it doesn't work, basically because i can't do ant update.
    any idea?

    I know the ans...first install os x mountain lion again above all your installation..then see the build it should be.. (12c60) then..update every thing..but dont install or update..."update for macbook pro and macbook air 2.0 "it is the culprit ...then hide that update..and remember to install offline version of combo and supplement update 10.8.2..ok..as sometimes when ur notification cetre not work then installoffline "combo and supp" updates...ok..REMEMBER NOT TO INSTALL MACBOOK AIR AND MACBOOK PRO 2.0 UPDATE...PLZ...AND USE UR SYSTEM...!! follow me https://www.twitter.com/ankit8083   https://www.facebook.com/ankit8083...good luck..DONT CHANGE UR BUILD..AS IF U WILL CHANGE IT THEN UR SHARE BUTTON WILL NOT WORK..IN NEW BUILD..!!And wait for apple to get new build after april 2013...but not download macbook pro and macbook air 2.0 update..which help in graphical improvements and some usb devices...!!

    I am having trouble synching facebook and Twitter along with many other applications in the notification bar.

    Facebook isn't included yet.  Some time later this fall.  Twitter is easy, you need to add your twitter account to the 'mail, contacts & calendars' pref pane in System Preferences

  • Facebook and other links

    How do I include Facebook and website links on my feedback form?

    Hi;
    You can insert a link into your form using the "link" feature, there is a link button on the toolbar to insert a link:
    If however you are asking about the "Social", "Like" buttons like many web sites have - that is not something FormsCentral includes/supports, but you can use the "Link" feature above for adding links of your own.
    Thanks,
    Josh
