Facebook/Chrome error??

Hey guys,
I've got the most tedious problem ever.. I use a Macbook air with Chrome. For some (possibly facebook related) reason Chrome is suffering from a hang-up. A new tab keeps popping up, displaying an error message, shutting itself down again, popping up again... and so forth, indefinately. If I close the whole window down... it keeps popping up again. Ang closing down. And popping up. And closing..
The error message is this:
notifications.extensions.64px.com/?error_code=901&error_message=This+app+is+in+s andbox+mode.++Edit+the+app+configuration+at+http%3A%2F%2Fdevelopers.facebook.com %2Fapps+to+make+the+app+publicly+visible.#_=_

Does anyone know of a way to put an end to this? As I´m not a facebook developer I really don´t know why this is happening... thanks!

This seems to be happening to everyone who updated
To be honest, I haven't seen anybody have this problem in the forum since Firefox 29 launched but I could be wrong. Mozilla released 29.0.1 as an update and is now pushing the update to users. Have you updated to 29.0.1? You should do that by going to [[Image:new fx menu]] > Help > About Firefox. Once you hit that, Firefox will begin downloading the 29.0.1 update which fixes some bugs reported in the last week.
Do me a favor. Open up the Error Console by pressing
Ctrl
+
SHIFT
+
J
. Once you do that, refresh the page using F5 with the Error Console open. Copy/paste what the error console spits out and see if it gives us anything useful.
While you're doing that, Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:
*'''Windows/Mac''': Go to Help > Restart with add-ons disabled
*'''Linux''': Run ''firefox -safe-mode'' in the Terminal/Konsole
If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

  • Bridge and Facebook connection error

I am trying to use the export feature of Bridge C.04.05.11 to download photos to Facebook. I continually get the error "Facebook connection error - An active access token must be used to query info about current user". Has anyone else seen this error?
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
Are you using Bridge CS5 4.0.5.11? Did you see the error when uploading via an old Facebook preset? If yes, you might need to create a new preset (login use your account again.) and delete the old one.
By the way, we published a new Facebook service update for Bridge CS5. When you attempt to use Facebook service, the update will be automatically executed.
    Thanks

  • Flash and Chrome errors

I have been following these chrome and flash issues for over 6 months. All the problems and fixes that have been previously mentioned in threads I have personally tried, some worked and all reappeared within a a few days or hours. I did notice one thing that I am not sure of is and issue. First I have five different computers that run FireFox, Chrome, and IE browsers. The only Browser that always have flash issues is Chrome, and none of these computers have had Flash isssues accept in Facebook. I recently just started having Flash issues with my personal computer this week, and only since Facebook forced their new Timeline on my account. It seems that this issue has to be a registery error. Still trying to find out what it is but restoring to an earlier date fixes the error until a crash in facebook causes the error to reappear.
My question to everyone is, has anyone found a concrete fix for this error. With the thousands of people that have had these issues, you would think that this error would be found. FireFox and IE are reducing their browsers to run like Chrome, and these crashes will start appearing in the other browsers.
Uninstalling Chrome, and Shockwave Flash, removing from registry all entrys, and reinstalling both also fixes the error until it reappears from a facebook crash.

We'll need more specifics to be able to track this down. I use Chrome as my primary browser on 5 different computers (both Mac and Win) and I don't see these crashes.
If you'd like to help us figure your crashes out and you have crash reporting turned on (Chrome settings -> Under the hood -> Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Google checked) please type "about:flash" in Chrome's address bar. Paste the contents of this page into your reply and we can go from there. Please note we'll need more specifics than just that (including steps to reproduce, specific URL's, etc.) but that could be a starting point to see if your crashes are already known.

Why firefox developer is neglecting this every time they introduce newer version.?

hello raviparekh027, thanks for providing the screenshots.
as this problem might have different external causes please provide another piece of information:
when you attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page (don't do it for real though!) & inspect the certificate, '''which issuer information''' does the certificate contain? (see screenshot)

  • Why am I getting half a dozen "Chrome" errors with v10.0.1?

Since the last update to v10.0.1, running on WinXP, I've been getting half a dozen errors each time I try to open a Firefox window. All seem to involve Chrome, which I have made a practice of trying to keep as far away from my computers as possible. If I have any Chrome add-ons, I didn't know it at the time and have no idea which ones they might be.
And when I say it happens every time, if I'm restarting FF and had two windows open when it closed, then I get the same half dozen errors for each window as it is re-started. And FF will not open until I've clicked to close each error window.

Firefox uses the "chrome" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions, so that has nothing to do with Google Chrome.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
