Facetime on MacBook Pro, Iphone and Ipad mini no longer works?
Facetime on MacBook Pro, Iphone and Ipad mini no longer works after years of working just fine. I get the message that I am connecting then it instantly just disconnects. Has worked fine for over two years with no issue until about a month ago?
I have investigated and tried things like re-setting apple ID and deleting the plist file etc, nothing works.
My Wife is having same problems in a different location so deffinatly not a problem with my wi-fi.
help, i use this alot!!!!

Today When I tried to open the app store on my ipad I found out that's the store is not working,,, It's giving me the loading screen like for ever without any error message. So I tried my Macbook and my iphone and it was the same,,,, I thought it was from the connection so I tried several different connections and It was the same.
Any Idea what is going on with the app store ?The App Store app on your iPhone in your iPad is a different App Store than the app store app on your Mac. You use the same account for both app stores. So I would guess that the real issue is perhaps something to do with your Home Network. You might try rebooting your modem/router. Also, turn off any antiviral software, firewalls or apps such as Little Snitch.

ust bought a Mac but music on my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad which all sync together is not coming up on the new Mac. I think I have turned on iCloud but still nothing.
It does not magically appear, unless iTunesMatch is turned on.

Keeping mail accounts synchronized between MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad
I want to keep my email accounts synchronized between three devices (MacBook Pro, iPhone, and new iPad).
I use several Email accounts (personal use, business use, one for Internet purchases and newsletters, etc.)
My Email accounts include: MobileMe, Gmail, and two that are hosted by my telecommunications provider and these are POP3-based Email accounts.
I use Apple Mail as my primary Email program, and Gmail for the personal accounts. In Apple Mail, I make use of Folders to sort incoming messages.
I need recommendations on how best (and simplest) to keep everything synchronized between and among the three devices mentioned above. In addition, I can be more productive if I have the ability to use Folders/Labels for Email filing regardless of which device I am using.
I’m considering using Gmail as my primary Email program. It synchronizes easily with all three devices, and Gmail’s Folders/Labels do appear on the iPhone and the iPad. If I choose this route, I will need to find an effective way to back up Gmail, especially for my business-related messages.
I’d welcome any advice/recommendations from any of you. Thanks.in pop there is a setting to leave the mail on the server ... I would have one main device that i used for managing .. ie. deleting email, and use the others for just reading. obviously the macbook would be the managing device ... but i have to say a laptop is not a great email manager because of the limited storage. alternatively you can start to use imap where all the email stays and is managed on the server, then your mobile-device-only lifestyle will work better and you do not have to worry about backups if your ISP takes care of that.
what i do at home is to have an iMac with a huge disk and store my stuff in the home directory, and then I can use other devices, that don't necessarily have to be apple, to read mail in the inbox. I just manage and archive on the iMac, or whatever would be the biggest machine. That way I also use time machine to keep backups in case I might lose something too.
your philosophy seems to be to stay mobile and light. i archive all my email forever ... at least anything I think is important or personal. just a different workflow i guess. in future i will move my mail folders to a readynas box with 12TB storage because of the size of multimedia is going to be getting bigger and bigger. Goggle's email already allows 20MB emails. -

You use iTunes on the MacBook Pro to store backups of apps and documents. Use iPhoto on the MacBook Pro to organize and store photos. Then sync each device with the MacBook Pro by connecting the device to the MacBook Pro and running iTunes.

Syncing calendars between Macbook Pro, iPhone and iPad
Having trouble with this. The calendars were working fine but now they're not. I have three calendars - one on iCloud that I use for personal stuff, the others on two exchange accounts that I use for work emails etc.
The Macbook Pro is brand new (yesterday) but copied all setting from previous computer which is also having problems as of this week so it's not the new gadget that's the problem. The iPhone and iPad have always synced fine until this week.
Now if I put an appointment into calendar on one device, it sometimes shows up on one or both of the other devices - but not always. This is scary as I am getting double booked and forgetting to go to things so I am desperate! I considered deleting the accounts and reinstalling them but they might lose the data so this seems very risky. Any advice gratefully received - thanks in advance...The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

Occasionally my macbook, iphone, and ipad would not be connected to the internet at the same time. However, when they can connect, all three are connected at the same time. It is not my internet because my room mates computers are connected to the internet the whole time without any problems. When I can't connect, I can still see the network name on th wifi network search. However, when I click connect, the only message that pops up is can not join network.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

If you are on iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar, which might make it easier to navigate and may instructions may make more sense.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from your library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos -
i have tried syncing music on my macbook pro with my ipad mini, it shows on my computer that the ipad device has my entire music library on it although its faded but the music is not on my ipad when i look into my music apps. it says No Music. By the way this is music that i downloaded unto my macbook from my CD collection
- You can only sync with one iTune library but you can manually music music and vides with different computers. To do so go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

I recently began using reminders in ical and downloaded the iPhone and iPad app. It works great. However, the reminders in ical on the COMPUTER is difficult to work with - thin long column on the right rather than in it's own screen. is there a reminders app for the COMPUTER that is more user friendly?

I reset network settings on my iPhone. However now it looks as if my iPhone and iPad are no longer linked. They are both connected to my apple account but when I send an imessage from one it is not picked up by the other. What do I do? If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated. Many thanks x
Check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on both your iPhone and your iPad to make sure that the following are all true:
(1) you have selected the same Apple ID on both devices,
(2) you have the same entries checked under "You can be reached by iMessage at:" on both devices,
(3) you have the same entry checked under "Start new conversations from:" on both devices,
and
(4) that the entry checked in #3 is one of those checked in #2 on both devices.
When you say it has affected your iCloud account, what effect has it had? -
My Macbook Pro keyboard and USB keyboard will not work. However, the trackpad and USB mouse will work. Any help?
This is quite frustrating, since it randomly occured as I was browsing the web. It seemed to happen out of nowhere. I cannot login to my user account because I cannot type my password.

-MattIf you have another Mac, boot the non-working one into Target Disk Mode (holding down "T" at startup). Hook up the two Macs via a Firewire cable. The non-working one will mount on the other Mac as an external Firewire HD.
Next, download the 10.5.6 Combo update from here:

Run it. When it asks you for a destination, choose the other Mac that was mounted via Firewire. When it's done, unmount the computer and restart it. The keyboard and mouse should work now.
