Facing some langauge issue in Workitem Text transalation

HI Experts,
I am facing some problem in a Custom workflow created by me. The scenario is like that, I have to show the Doc_nam in the WORKITEM TEXT dynamically, which I have picked from the container element and this Doc_name in linked withe Business Object APPR_DOC.
Now the workitem is sent to the approver. If the approver is logged in EN ( English) lang, then I found the workitem text along with Doc_name is displayed dynamically as per the requirement. But if the approver is logged on in IT(Italian) then, I found that the workitem text is sent as it is, i.e. ' Approve &_WI_OBJECT_ID.DOCUMENTNAME& '. This is happening in the same client for different log on's with different Langs.
I have tried all the possible way like Maintaining translation in SE63, Maintaining the Personal settings and many more. but could not find the way to solve the issue.
Can anybody guide me the right way to solve the issue?

First of all, make sure that the attribute is translated. Log in to the system for example in italian and open SWO1 and object APPR_DOC. Instantiate one object, and see whether the DOCUMENTNAME attribute gets translated.
You might also want to check if these document names are event translated. They are most probably translated somewhere in SPRO. Maybe you need to log in to the system with other languages and maintain the object names in that way to get them translated. Anyhow, I am not sure about this part - your functional consultant might know this better.

Issues regarding workitem text

I see the Workitem text mismatches when compared to Workitem lying in SBWP and the email send to ms outlook and also surprisingly when compared to SBWP and SOST I see the same mismatch.Can some one help me in finding the issue and also the first line of the email is the subject or title and from second line my custom workitem text follows I want to start the custom workitemtext from third line.I want a line gap in between the subject and the custom workitem text.

&INITIATOR&, &ACT_DATE& and &ACT_TIME& are the variable is known in standard text element i.e. in tcode SO10. This variable may not known to workflow. Hence I would request you to follow the specific.
Declare the text element ZXXXX only upto value 'This Workflow was started by'.
ZXXXX = 'This Workflow was started by'
and use this workitem text as
Workitem text = ZXXXX by &_WI_INITATOR& on &ACT_DATE& at &ACT_TIME&.
&_WI_INITATOR&, &ACT_DATE& and &ACT_TIME& are the variables of workflow container i.e. workflow container element.

How to redefine workitem text

Hi,
I want to redefine the workitem text of a standard SAP task (Task 10008212, check shopping cart in SRM). Using the transaction pftc_dis I changed the work item text and I can see only the redefined customer text when I display this task again.
But the issue the workitem text change is not reflecting in the workitems for shopping carts.
Can someone please let me know if this is the correct way to add a customer definition for a work item text.

I followed the following procedure:
1) Translation of f the task work item text (translation with SE63, transport object with key R3TR PDTS, ex: R3TR PDTS 91000031)
2) Imported to production the missing translation (transport order created using SLXT)
3) For the existing workitems I changed manually, using LSMW, the text using transaction SWI1; Edit -> display workitem ; goto -> technical workitem display; Edit -> Change; execute "Change workitem text

Some minor issues we are facing in converting the 6i application to 10g ,

Regarding 10g froms i need support in resolving following issues:-
1. Direct print to default printer
In some of our applications user do not want to see the print preview and prefer direct print in 6i we were doing this by defining Desitination in report paramenters
2. Open each form in new window
We open each new form using OPEN_FORM() builtin, but all forms open in same MDI window, how using open form we can open the forms in new window
3. Maintaining source code in windows and linux
Initaially our developers test the forms under windows 10g AS environment but when the same form in uploaded on Linux machine they need to make some changes like " replacing all \ with /, converting all paths to lower case etc
how we can write the same code for linux and windows
These are some minor issues we are facing in converting the 6i application to 10g environment ...

1) We don't do direct printing. We print everything to PDF files in a user's network mapped drive. They print or preview as required.
2) We overcame this problem by using Java WebStart

It frees Forms from being browser based and looks more like a 'real' application.
3) We use FormsAPI Master [Link to ORCL-Toolbox|http://www.orcl-toolbox.com/] to automatically convert from Windows to Unix. Our script converts uppercase to lowercase for icons, menus, library attachments, etc. We only do this once - unless new libraries have been attached in the wrong case. For things like '\' to '/' , Windows is quite happy to accept '/' as a delimiter. "cd C:\temp" is the same as "cd c:/temp". However, there are obvious differences between Windows and Unix. If there is any interaction between the Form and the operating system, then we do all our testing in the Unix environment - leaving Windows as a "does the screen layout look OK" environment.

Facing some issue regarding Requisition interface table

I am facing some issue regarding Requisition interface table..
Purpose: we have to massage data & create massage data & create Requisitions.
Issue Detail:

Previously it was Auto Create Purchase Requisition
On the move transaction form step 10 to 20, this step will trigger creation of requisition.
and Creating Requisition successfully.
After:
After stopping Auto Create Purchase Requisition functionality the Requisition interface data is not getting populated in the Requisition Interface tables as well.
Please provide your inputs.

It's standard functionality not to populate the req interface while you don't want to autocreate.

Characters in workitem text

Hi Experts,
have an SRM WF triggering, approver is German. He receives workitem in German translation.
Issue:
a) the workitem text has few junk characters in the beginning of the text and end. Inbetween the text is properly translated in German.
What could be the reason?
SRM version is 5.0 and Support pack is SAPKB70009.

Hi,
Please logon system in German and check the workitem text in PFTC_DIS transaction.
If the static text is not garbled, I think it is some dynamic container value. In that case please check your system is Unicode or Non-Unicode.

Some confusing issues and their solution while working with InCopy stories.

Hi All, Last few months I have been working on InDesign/InCopy workFlow.I faced lot many problems and able to find solutions for some of them.I am putting down some of the problems I haved faced and the approaches I followed to get the solutions. So here I go... First I will put the issues I faced and then their common solution. Issue 1)A text frame exported as a InCopy file. InterfacePtr<IDataLinkReference> dataLinkReference(frameUIDRef, UseDefaultIID()); if(dataLinkReference == nil) break; UID linkUID = dataLinkReference->GetUID(); If(linkUID == kInvlaidID) Break; The linkUID is always equal to kInvalidUID. Issue 2)A graphics frame with image placed inside it and exported as an InCopy file. In this case the linkUID will have a valid UID. So the code ahead is UIDRef linkRef(frameUIDRef.GetDataBase(), linkUID); InterfacePtr<IDataLink> dataLink(linkRef, UseDefaultIID()); if(dataLink != nil) { PMString linkedFilePath = *(dataLink->GetFullName()); } so here the linkedFilePath will be the file path of the linked incopy file and not of that image file. Issue 3)A graphics frame with image placed inside it but without any associated InCopy file. The linkedFilePath is that of filePath of an image. The solution I found was.. The reason for this confusing behaviour is, InCopy frame has one more UIDRef associated with the InCopy story. So to get the incopy related UIDRef we have to use the following code. UIDRef incopyStoryUIDRef = Utils<IInCopyWorkFlowUtils>()->GetContainingInCopyStory(itemUIDRef); The problem with above api is in case of the graphic frame the itemUIDRef should be the UIDRef of the frame and in case of text frame the itemUIDRef should be the UIDRef of the text story i.e the text model. I cannot explain why your iMac worked ok. I too have seen situations where "lower cost" WiFi routers like Belkin and LInksys have "sort of" worked but had problems.
Back in 2004 after buying a fairly large house I purchased an off-brand WiFi gateway that featured high power output so I could mount it centrally in the house and be able to use WiFi everywhere. Even though this thing was rated well and had the high-power everyone said would help it gave me continuous problems.
One day a buddy gave me an Apple Airport (the one that looks like a apple power adapter). I plugged it in where I had the high power unit in place and suddenly I had amazing WiFi speed and coverage EVERYWHERE. I could not believe it! That day I ordered an Airport Extreme and it has been fantastic.
I then recommended this solution to a friend of mine that had an Apple MacBook and he had nothing but trouble and went back to his linksys. So it is a mixed bag.
Currently I have three WiFi devices: A TimeCapsule downstairs, an Airport Extreme upstairs and a LInkSys in a utility closet. The LinkSys is needed because my son's GF's Windows computer will not connect to anything else.

Issue with displaying text in BEx

We are facing an issue with displaying text in the query output.
We have a master data carrying charac ' 0MATERIAL'.When i do maintain master data ,I am able to see medium description in the output.
Now when i drag 0MATERIAL in bex designer and in properties set display to key and text(medium text), it shows me only the key and it shows some wierd text which is in no way related to the medium description ( that was shown under maintain master data)
can anyone pls tell me why i am not able to see the medium description when executing the query that too when the text is loaded.

Nothing will happen to your data.
Its showing there ...dosent that mean its present and activated?
They are present n in active version.
If u change any records they will be in M version..by activating the data...u are converting it to A version.

Facing some problems in creating a custom tabs in CRMD_ORDER Transaction

I am facing some problems in creating a custom tabs in CRMD_ORDER Transaction code in Solution Manager of SAP.
Actually my requirement is adding of two tabs(one is header & another is item tab) in the above Transaction, i was able to put one tab i.e header tab but i was not able to keep item tab. i found a badi CRM_CUSTOMER_I_BADI in which documentation was given & i processed in the same way.
For information i used the Badi CRM_CUSTOMER_H_BADI for header tab which i was able to add the tab & all functions like change, save working Good.
But i want how to add custom tab in which item details were to be attached.
i was done with the necessary SPRO settings(or Tcode CRMV_SSV) & able to see the 2 tabs thats it, but the functionality save is not working for the second tab & not saving in table CRMD_CUSTOMER_I (in this table there is one CI include where we added our item fields).
And also i had a doubt whether to use ALV or Table Control. And if possible can any one can sent me the screen design & the code for the above requirement in detail.
can any one who have knoweldge in Solution Manager & in the above Badi implementation can give me a right solution which will help me a lot.

Program exit to change workitem text

I have a requirement to change work item text at runtime, i am using program exit to change the task contrainer variable which is being used to display work item text. i have written a code in program exit to update container element, but it's not reflected to change workitem text, when i check in ln workflow log the variable shows with updated value.

I used below code to update container element.
CASE im_event_name.
     WHEN swfco_event_after_creation.
        CLEAR l_value.
       CALL METHOD l_wi_cont->get
         EXPORTING
           name = 'LV_WITEXT'
         IMPORTING
           value = l_value.
         REPLACE '$' INTO l_value WITH lv_id.
       CALL METHOD l_wi_cont->set
         EXPORTING
           name = 'LV_WITEXT'
           value = l_value.
With above code LV_WITEXT is updated with new value, but same is not displayed as workitem text in inbox.
After workitem displayed in inbox if i use FM SWL_REFRESH_WORKITEM_TEXT explicitly to refresh, workitem text getting refreshed.

Facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0.

I am facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0. in my farm.
Scenario is,
I have installed and configured workflow manager in my farm, it was working well with no issue. But one of team member played with AD and deleted Farm administrator's entry from AD by mistake. So suddenly workflows get affected and stopped working.
Then I added administrator entry in AD, uninstalled the Workflow Manager and installed it again. But now while configuring workflow manager I am facing some issues that "Failure to adding user in BUILTIN\Administrative group. Please add it manually"
And after sometime it shows another error message that, "Starting service Service Bus Massage broken failed: Timed out has expired, the operation has not been completed"
If I go for services then "Service bus Message broker" service is not running properly (Its status is just showing "Starting") and don't starts.
I have also added the user in BUILTIN\Administrator, IIS_IUSER, WSS_WPG group of the machine from computer manager - user and groups.
Also given permission to databases, and assign role of sysadmin and dbcreator to user
I also tried following steps
1) Stop all services associated to workflows
2) Uninstalled workflow manager
3) Deleted all databases associated with workflows
4) Installed workflow manager and tried to configure.
But showing same error.
If I use another SharePoint server farm to configure workflows, there I am not getting first error of adding user to BUILTIN\Administrator group. but second error remains same.
We having SQL server and Active directory at another machine and FARM at another machine, if I use local admin for configuration of the workflows (as local admin can start any services) but entry of local admin is not Active directory so can not assign SQL's
sysadmin, and dbcreator role to local admin.
I am attaching snapshot of error for better understanding.

Check to see what the service accounts are being used for these Workflow Manager 1.0 services:
Service Bus Message Broker
Service Bus Gateway
Workflow Manager Backend
All of these should be running and your workflow service account should be running all of these. If any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated. Next, check to see what service accounts have access to the
Workflow Manager 1.0 databases:
SbGatewayDatabase
SbManagement
SbMessageContainer
WFInstanceManagement
WFManagement
WFResourceManagement
The Workflow Manager service account should be mapped as the DBO for all of these. if any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated.
Given the complete loss of the original workflow service account, and the resultant impact on security configuration throughout the workflow farm, I would recommend performing a re-installation. Do it thus:
Launch Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard
Select the Leave Workflow Manager Farm
Stop all workflow services (see above list)
Repeat steps 1-3 for each instance of Workflow Manager 1.0 Server installed.
Delete all Workflow Manager databases (see above list).
reboot.
Start new installation.

Unicode Issue - Corrupted long texts in Plant Maintenance Work Orders

we're having an issue regarding corrupted texts in a Unicode system. here's the scenario:
- long text came from 4.5b wherein, of course, the japanese characters are viewable either in EN or JA logon
- now, this long text when viewed in our acceptance/testing system which is already, take note, already in unicode long text is garbled. both in EN and JA logon long texts are garbled. we are expecting that since the system is already in unicode it can now support code page for japanese.
(here's the tricky part -- the one seen in the field is properly displayed but when trying to view the complete long text, those that are not in the field are garbled.)
- we also have some scenarios that came from 4.5b, when viewed in the testing system while not unicoded - it's garbled in EN. this is normal since it's still non-unicoded. and of course when viewed using JA logon it's not corrupted anymore. we're expecting that this will also be the same with the issue above. but it's not.

i know it's weird.
but then i talked to a friend, she's an abaper. she said that those that can be converted or properly viewed are texts elements in database tables and those that are like free texts or comments can not. and there's no possible way for this but to manually retype everything.

It seems that people experience slow wifi on iphone with IOS 6 under slightly different circumstances.
Some have slow/choppy video streaming, some have problems with large dropbox files, some with app store and some with podcasts.

Me personally, I have download speed when on wifi.
But only when downloading podcasts...
Running 6.0.1 or 6.1 on iPhone 5, iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
On WIFI I can download a 45 mb app from the appstore in less than a minute. I can stream Youtube and Netflix with no problems. Internet browsing - no problems.
But downloading podcasts with Instacast 3, Downcast or the Apple Podcast app happens at a rate of 20-80 kb/s when on WIFI. As soon as I switch to 3g ( 4g/LTE is not yet available from my local provider) my download speed goes to between 300kb/s and 2 mb/s.
Anyone else have this problem?
