Fai;ure t deploy a spring appliucation in web logic 10

We have a simple spring application developed using eclipse. We ha ve been able to deploy the application to TOMCAT 6 on a local PC ising a war file that was generated by ANT script. The deployment to TOMCAT had no issues. When deploying the war file to an instance of BEA Weblogic 10 running on a unix box we get the following error.
The Deployment has not been installed
java.llang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -42
Any help will be appreciated

Hi Zack, thanks for the answer.
I've cleaned the code below.
Our problem is the following: we wan't to use many keystores, in function the user who is connected in the application. For that reason, we wan't to give the keyStore from Java Client, because we've saw that, in WebLogic, you can select one keystore, but only one. For that reason, we wantto change the keystore in run time execution, dinamically.
The problem we have found are the following:
1) If we configure WebLogic with the correct keystore and trustore, we are not able to change keysotre and trustore in runtime execution, so we have to us always the same keystore and we don't want this.
2) Also, I'm trying now to use JaxWS instead Apache Cxf, and I've tried to put the ssl properties of the system with the following code:
System.setProperty(JAVAXNETSSLTRUST_STORE, trustore);
System.setProperty(JAVAXNETSSLTRUST_STORE_PASSWORD, trustStorePassword);
System.setProperty(JAVAXNETSSLKEY_STORE, keyStore);
System.setProperty(JAVAXNETSSLKEY_STORE_PASSWORD, keyStorePassword);
System.setProperty(JAVAXNETSSLKEY_STORE_TYPE, keyStoreType);
Thanks in advance,
Jaime.

  • Changes not showing in other instance of web logic server after deployment

    Hi Everyone,
    My Jdev version is 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have developed one ADF application and deployed into web logic server from Jdev itself and is working fine with the URL.
    Now the same EAR file is deployed into other instance of web logic server. it was working fine too.
    NOw i have modified some columns in the table in ADF page and modified the URL of the page in Controller project properties Java EE Application tab and deployed the page in first instance through Jdeveloper only and is working very fine with the new URL and with the new changes.
    But when i deploy this EAR file into other instance of the web logic server i got following problems:
    1. URL is not being changed. --> page is running with the old URL only.
    2. Changes to the ADF page is not reflected.
    3. Test point for this application is blank in web logic server.
    What can be the issues with this?
    Any suggestions will be really useful.
    Thanks.....

    About the context URL:
    There are 2 ways to change the context URL, 1 for design time (the one you used) and 1 for deploy time.

  • Web services - web logic 10.3.3.0 - spring

    I have an application which is implemented with spring and uses web services.
    I am trying to deploy it on Web Logic 10.3.3.0 but I get the error:
    :com.sun.xml.bind.v2.runtime.IllegalAnnotationsException:6 counts of IllegalAnnotationExceptions
    I deploy the same application(war file) on web logic 10.3.0.0 and it works fine.
    I can not figure it out what is so different in the new version of the web logic.
    I use in the applicationContext.xml of the Spring:
    <wss:binding url="/webService/documentB" >
    <wss:service>
    <ws:service bean="#webService.documentB" impl="moi.DocumentsService" />

    <!-- simplest definition only needs the class name -->
    <bean id="webService.documentB" class="moi.DocumentsService">
    <property name="publicDocumentDao" ref="publicDocumentDao"></property>

    Hi,
    I solved the problem with adding an extra jar file to the project:
    com.springsource.org.jvnet.jax_ws_commons.spring-1.8.0.jar.

  • Browser based InfoPath form deployed on a Claims based Web Application calling a Secure Web Service via Data Connection

    hi,
    We have a Browser based InfoPath Form deployed on a Claims based Web Application. We are tyring to call WCF Services that are secure using Certificates via the Data Connections on Infopath Form.
    Earlier we used to get the Data in BCS External List via the WCF Services and the Data Connections used to get the Data from the BCS External List. Due to Performance Issues, we want to remove the BCS External List and straightaway call the secure WCF Services
    via the Data Connections.
    Have anyone implemented this scenario.
    Thanks
    Ram
    Thanks Ram

    Hi Ram,
    As these are browser based InfoPath forms, you have two options
    1) Deploy as sandboxed forms
    In this case you have to create a secure store application id and then set the credentials for that account.
    You then have to export the data connection to Data connections library and modify the .udcx file to utilize the newly created secure store application id.
    This may sometime give issues related to sandboxed code service. You have to give permissions on the secure store for the user account which the sandboxed code service is running.
    2) Deploy as administrator approved forms
    This would be ideal way of doing things as you have full control over the web request if you write code behind InfoPath forms.
    3) Deploy as a Hybrid solution
    a) Write a full trust proxy solutions (extend SPProxyOperation class and override execute method) and make the web request call inside this and return the response
    b) Invoke above operation from the sandboxed InfoPath form's code behind by SPUtility.RegisteredProxyOperation(four part assembly name, operation args)
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Srikanth

  • Single Sign on for 2 Web Applications deployed on Web Logic Server

    We want to implement single sign on for our application.
    We want to deploy 2 applications(JSF/ADF) on web logic server say
    webapp1 and webapp2.
    If user already logged into webapp1 with valid userid and password and
    then he access the link for webapp2 he should not be asked to provide
    the credential details userid and password.
    How we can implement this
    1. If user credentials are maintained/authenticated against LDAP
    2. If user maintained/authenticated are from database

    you are in the wrong forum. This one is related to Oracle forms. Try the ADF-forum instead.

    No, my scenario did not involve clustered CMSs.

    Is your CMS on the same machine as WebLogic?
    No, my scenario was with 2 servers.  CMS on Server 1, WebLogic on Server 2.

    As you have a BOE cluster running, try setting the domain value in the dsws.properties file to @clustername or clustername.

  • Servlet class not found error deploying a WAR on Web Logic Server 8.1

    I'm re-deploying an updated web application to a web logic server, but when I navigate to the login page of the web application to test it, I get a class not found error for my login servlet. I have both the web.xml and the weblogic.xml descriptors in my WEB-INF directory, and all of my compiled classes are in the WEB-INF/classes directory, is there something else I'm missing? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the response. Here's the web.xml file:

    None of the classes are in a package (I know it's not the best idea, but I didn't write these, I'm just doing some updates). So the file structure is pretty much just WEB-INF/classes/
    At the moment I've got a fix by just putting the entire project (not in any sort of archive) on the server itself instead of deploying it as a WAR, any thoughts on why the WAR isn't working would be much appreciated though.

  • Deploying war files on iplanet web server 6.0

    Hello All,
    I tried to deploy an war file on iplanet web server 6.0 using both command line wdeploy and iplanet webserver browser based admin tool. Both the times it did say successfully deployed. I checked the WEB-INF files and it does contain all class files..But the problem is when I try to post a form to one of the class files the error log says as if it cannot find the class file.(I tried the sample app HelloWorld supplied by vendor)
    =========
    05/Mar/2002:13:19:14] config (13777): for host xx.xx.xx.xx trying to POST /samples/helloworld/GreeterServlet, handle-processed reports: The request method is not applicable to this requested resource.
    =================
    any help in this regards is appreciated
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I got few steps to deploy the WAR file, if you followed the same steps and got the error then ignore this else try with this steps.
    a) Set your environment variable IWS_SERVER_HOME to your server_root directory.
    b) Add the server_root/bin/https/httpsadmin/bin directory to your classpath.
    c) Configure your virtual server for web applications.
    From the Server Manager page, select the VirtualServerClass tab, select a Class, and click the Manage button.
    Select a Virtual Server and go to the Java Web Apps Settings page for that virtual server. Make sure that the virtual server has Web Apps State turned On, and web-apps.xml is the name of Web Apps File.
    To extract the sample WAR file HelloWorld.war in server_root/plugins/servlets/examples/web-apps/HelloWorld, use the wdeploy command as follows:
    wdeploy deploy -u /hello -i server.iplanet.com -v testvs -d
    /iws60/https-server.mydomain.com/testvs/web-apps/hello
    /iws60/plugins/servlets/examples/web-apps/HelloWorld/HelloWorld.war
    The syntax for the command is as follows:
    wdeploy deploy -u uri_path -i instance -v vs_id [-d directory] war_file
    uri_path Specify the URI prefix (a path to access the web application from the browser).
    instance Specify the server instance name. (Note: Do not include "https" in the front.)
    vs_id Specify the Virtual Server name as it appears on the Manage Virtual Servers page.
    directory Specify a directory to extract WAR files. If this directory doesn't exist already, it will be created for you now.
    war_file Specify the name of the WAR file.
    If the WAR file is extracted successfully, the message "web application deploy successful" appears at the command line.
    For verification, go to the /iws60/https-server.iplanet.com/testvs/web-apps/hello directory. It should have the following contents:
    colors
    index.jsp
    META-INF
    WEB-INF/
    web.xml
    /classes/
    HelloWorldServlet.class
    HelloWorldServlet.java
    SnoopServlet.class
    SnoopServlet.java
    In the server_instance/config directory, the web-apps.xml file should have the following entry:
    <vs>
    <web-app uri="/hello"
    dir="/iws60/https-server.iplanet.com/testvs/web-apps/hello"/>
    </vs>
    Restart the server instance from the command line or go to the admin GUI and apply configuration changes to the server instance.
    Now when you access the webserver instance in your browser, the Error log of that server instance will record successful initialization of the web application environment(web-apps.xml) for the virtual server(vs name). You can access the web application from a browser as follows:
    http://server.Mydomain.com:80/hello/index.jsp
    or:
    http://server.Mydomain.com/hello/
    The syntax is as follows:
    http://vs_urlhost[:vs_port]/uri_path/[index_page]
    Thanks
    Selva

    All the information on deploying Oracle Forms on the Web is at the Forms Upgrade Center http://otn.oracle.com/formsupgrade
    Forms 6i means you need Oracle9iAS V1.0.2
    Oracle9i Forms means you need Oracle9iAS v2
    Both of them are web enabled.
