Failed appointments, terrible management, lies and...

I've been waiting for my BT line and broadband to be installed since Dec 21st 2013.
An OpenReach engineer was meant to call to connect me on Sat 21st - they failed to turn up. I phoned and was told various excuses as to why they didn't come. Was told someone would phone me back - no-one did.
To cut a very, very long story short, I've been on the phone to BT nearly every day since then trying to find out when I would get connected to be met with every excuse in the book. There are problems at the exchange, your house builders haven't notified it (it was best when the day before I spoke to the guy who said he had the notification in front of him!!!), cabling work needs to be outside your house (even though we grabbed an OpenReach engineer who was working next door and confirmed that everything was OK), back to work at the exchange needs to be done..................
Got another appointment for today (13th Jan) and surprise, surprise no engineer and we are back to the same old excuse that work needs doing STILL - all lies from the BT book of excuses. I'm told I have to wait for two days for someone to get back to me with another appointment. I've taken two days out from work already. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH BT.
For a telecommunications company, you have truly awful communications.
The list of my expenses incurred in this fiasco is going up and up.............(not to mention my blood pressure)

  • Launch Console fails: the vnc viewer is not installed on the manager server and no local vnc viewer is found.

    Hello,
I have created and started a VM image and try to configure this image, but when launching the console I get the error:
"the vnc viewer is not installed on the manager server and no local vnc viewer is found."
I've read the vnc console does not rely on a local version of the vnc client, but uses the java vnc.  From the java log I get:

Using JRE version 1.6.0_43-b01 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

It is not clear to me yet what is expected to be running where. My configuration is:
    - VM Server 3.1 on Linux host A
    - VM Manager 3.1 on Linux host B
    - Connected via Windows 7 64-bit client via a browser to the Management Server. Let's call this host C
When launching the console it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1:60505 so to localhost and a port#.
    - Given this information I would expect it tries to launch the vncviewer from my management server (host B).
    - /usr/bin/vncviewer is installed on host B, but this appears not to be used.
    - We see java vnc is started on my Windows 7 client (host C) and it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1 (localhost on my Windows client??) and not to the remote management server (host B)!?
    Questions:
1 - Can someone explain what exactly is being executed (from where and to which host) when launching the console?
2 - Is this a java version / Windows 7 related configuration issue? How to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Klaas.

Per Oracle's website - RAN into this a few hours ago...Do it as ROOT on the VM Manager Host
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26996_01/E18548/html/BABFBEIF.html
It is preferred that you install either TightVNC on the Oracle VM Manager host computer. You can get the latest TightVNC package from:
    http://oss.oracle.com/oraclevm/manager/RPMS/http://oss.oracle.com/oraclevm/manager/RPMS/
    Install TightVNC with the command:
    # rpm -ivh tightvnc-java-version.noarch.rpm

  • Who holds Verizon employees and management accountable and where can I file a complaint.

I feel that writing this letter is a waste of time, but I feel the way customer service reps (not all) as well as their managers (again not all) need to held accountable for lies and disrespectful business practices they place on loyal customers.  This is a long and confusing issue, but in as short as possible, I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for several years. This past September 2014, I along with about 200 other loyal customers waited for several hours in anticipation of the IPhone 6 being released outside of a big box Verizon Store located at 7790 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236, phone number (513) 984-9939. Because of my early arrival, I was number two in line and number two to enter the store once opened.  At approximately 7:30 a.m., Verizon Store employees and an unknown woman claiming to be a manager came from the store with flyers in hand and explained the purchase process.  She advised customers were able to buy a maximum of three phones, but could only buy one phone at retail price without contract.  I informed the manager that I was not eligible for an upgrade at the time, as my wife and I still had about a year of service left on my current contract.  At that time I was told “too bad, there are a lot of customers here for the same thing, and if you want the iPhones you will have to add two lines of service.”  I had about $2000.00 in my hand willing to pay full price for phones and have them swapped out for my current devices and was told “too bad.”  Well after waiting in line for the amount of time I had, I pretty much had no other choice, entered the store, and paid for two new lines of service in order to get two IPhone 6 plus devices with 128 gb of storage.
Immediate upon returning home, I contacted Verizon customer service (phone call one 9/19/14) and requested to terminate both lines, and move the IPhone 6 plus phones to my original lines.  Upon explaining the situation to the customer service rep, he was confused as to why I was told I had to open two new lines, but complied.  Later in the night, I had realized service was still not activated on the lines after switching the IPhone 6 plus to my original numbers and call customer service again (call two 9/19/14).  After explaining the whole situation over again, I was again informed that the store was wrong and should not have made me add two new lines.  This customer service rep informed me of the cancellation fees ($350.00 per line x 2), which I told her I was aware, and had planned to pay $950.00 per phone originally so had no problem paying the termination fee.  The customer service rep again told me that all had been completed and the lines would be turned off.
On Saturday September 20, 2014, I signed on to my Verizon wireless.com account and saw that I still had two lines (previously told were shut off) still active on my account, with no phones associated with the numbers.  Again, upon contacting customer service (call 3 9/20/2014) I had to explain the entire situation all over.  At that time I was advised by the customer service rep, that because I was not returning the phones and just wished to pay the termination fees, that I would need to wait until after 14 days of service to call in and cancel the lines, and also have to request a refund on the activation fees (should be waived if canceled within 72 hours of activation) and any service charges associated with having two lines with no physical phones actually being attached to them.  At this point I thanked the customer service rep and was informed that all notations to the account were visible in the account to anyone I spoke with.
Friday October 3, 2014, I again contacted Verizon customer service (call 4 10/3/2014) to cancel these lines.  Upon explaining the situation again to the customer service rep, I was informed the store I got the phones from (A VERIZON WIRELESS OWNED STORE) had lied to me in that I needed to add lines.  At this point, the female representative informed me the activation fees would be waived, along with any other fees, and the lines were cancelled.
Saturday October 4, 2014 I again logged onto my Verizon Wireless.com account and saw that the lines I was told had twice been removed, were still active and alive with no physical devices actually being associated with the lines of service.  AGAIN, calling customer service (call 5 10/4/2014) I spoke with a gentleman and expressed my frustrations as to being misinformed several times thus far.  At this point, the customer service rep, after keeping me on hold for about 45 minutes, returned to the phone and advised my that the lines were set for cancelation, but not until my next billing cycle, and that I would need to call in again once all service, activation, and whatever else charges were put on my account to have them removed.  During the conversation, (without me asking for a single thing at any point during the conversation except just to have the lines turned off and refund the fees) The customer service rep informed me that he was sorry and his manager was sorry for inconvenience that VERIZON had caused me, as a small toke of VERIZON’s appreciation, VERIZON would waive any and all fees associated with the two lines I was forced to add, to include any and all early termination fees.  Again, I never once asked for anything, but was offered by VERIZON employees and a VERIZON manager.  I was also informed that when I did call back in, the next customer service rep would see all of these offers in my account notations and would comply.
Tuesday October 7, 2014, I was able to view my bill and had observed the added charges associated with account activation, and lines of service.  At that point I again called Verizon customer service (Call 6, 10/7/2014) to have these charges removed.  Upon calling and AGAIN explaining the two weeks of hell VERIZON had caused me, I was again apologized to, and informed that the last customer service rep had notated everything as I had explained and was informed and exactly quoted by the representative from VERIZON “We are nothing without our integrity at VERIZON, and VERIZON told you we would waive all of these fees (as notated in my account) VERIZON will stand by our word.” At that point, I was told I would need to be placed on hold as the charges and fees were large (about $263.00 in service fees and $700.00 in early termination fees) it would take a while for the customer service rep to work with his manager to have these charges removed (and in the case of the ETFs, not post to the account at my next billing cycle).  After one hour of sitting on hold, I was again in contact with the customer service rep and told, he and his manager had put in for every single refund and credit, the VERIZON MANAGER had approved all, but one final approval was needed which may take a day or two.  AGAIN all of this is notated in the account as to offers and promises made by VERIZON wireless employees and managers, and again I had NEVER asked for a single penny refunded, but was offered.  I AGAIN was completely willing to pay for the phones and the ETFs without problem, but was again and again offered such refunds and credits by VERIZON employees.
Wednesday October 9, 2014, because of the continual misinformation I have been given by VERIZON employees, I contacted VERIZON customer service again (call 7, 10/9/2014) to check on the status of the credits and refunds.  At that time, I was informed, that many of the credits had been approved, but both ETF fees were denied and would only be refunded if I returned the devices.  As frustrated and confused as I was, I calmly explained every single thing that was offered to me again by VERIZON and was confused as to why a MANAGER for VERIZON would offer such things and then they would be denied.  The female customer service rep informed me that she was unfamiliar with the situation, would message the male customer service rep and or manager I spoke with on October 7, 2014 and have them reach out to me to explain. I was also told I would hear from them within a “few hours.”  This call was placed at about 9:00 a.m., and by 6:00 p.m. I had still not heard anything back from VERIZON.  At that time I again called VERIZON customer service (call 8, 10/9/2014) and spoke with another customer service rep.  Again for the 8th time explained the entire VERIZON lying situation, and was told that he (VERIZON representative) saw was I had been offered several times (refunds and credits) in the account notations and “too bad, VERIZON does not offer refunds or waivers of ETFs.”  At this point in the conversation, without completely cursing out the representative, I asked to speak with his supervisor and was turned over to another supervisor to speak with.  Upon speaking with the supervisor, I was informed (for the first time) that although VERIZON WIRELESS employees / MANAGERs had offered me refunds of ETFs, WHICH WAS DOCUMENTED NUMEROUS TIMES BY VERIZON in my account details, VERIZON simply could not waive these fees.  I again informed the manager that I didn’t care about the fees and was willing to pay, but I was tired of being LIED TO.  At that point in the conversation, I was again apologized to over and over again and as a token of apology from VERIZON, he a VERIZON MANAGER offered me a $70.00 bill credit in order to help with the ETFs.  Again, I never once asked for anything, but was offered time and time again from VERIZON EMPLOYEES and MANAGERS.  I thanked him for his offer and the call ended.
October 10, 2014 (AGAIN after repeatedly being lied to contacted VERIZON customer service to check on the status of my credits (call 9, 10/10/2014).  At that time, I spoke with a female representative and again explained the entire dilemma caused by VERIZON.  Again, I was apologized to countless times and was informed that a bill credit for $70.00 was pending as I was informed on the previous night by a VERIZON WIRELESS MANAGER, but she did not have access to see any further details.  After again apologizing countless times, the customer service representative seemed to be frustrated that I had been treated so negatively and informed me she was going to address this with her manager.  Upon her return to the line, and again without ever asking for one single thing, the VERIZON representative with her VERIZON MANAGER offered to meet “half way” with regards to the lowest ETF fees associated with my accounts and provide a $235.00 bill credit to help me and as a token of “sorry for VERIZON’s screw up and constant lies.”  I was also told I would be contacted by her manager within four hours at approximately or before 2:00 p.m.  5:00 p.m. on that same date, after not hearing anything back I again called VERIZON customer service (call 10, 10/10/2014) spoke with another customer service rep and told her the entire story over again.  I told the rep I wanted to speak with a manager right at that moment and was placed on the phone with a woman named Linda I believe. Linda informed me that the credit I was previously told I would be given earlier on that date was rejected and I would not be given it.  Again without completely going nuts, I calmly explained my complete disgust with VERIZON and the constant lies I was being told.  Again after countless apologies from another VERIZON MANAGER, she politely explained to me again the whole VERIZON cannot offer such refunds or credits associated with ETFs and was appalled that anyone in VERIZON would offer such things knowing they could not be given.  While working with her, she informed me the best solution to saving money was to cancel my original phone accounts and keep the two new lines that were pending deactivation, which would result in a $250.00 reduced ETF as opposed to a $700.00.  I agreed based on her advice without argument and was informed it may take a few hours for the new numbers to be placed back on the IPhones.  Two hours later, my phones still not turned on, I contacted VERIZON again.  I had also noted that every single bill credit previously applied to my account was back on the account.  At this point being as furious as I was, I again called VERIZON WIRELESS (call 11, 10/10/2014) demanded to speak with a MANAGER and was placed on hold.  After waiting for an hour on hold (no exaggeration) the customer service representative returned, apologized for everything including the wait time, and placed a male MANAGER on the phone. After explaining the entire three plus week VERIZON lying dilemma, which he was able to see in the account notes where every VERIZON employees acknowledged the misinformation of the previous employee I had spoke with, he again apologized and explained that I did not lose the bill credits, but because two lines had been canceled, the credits were instead applied to my unbilled ETFs, and they would appear on my next bill.  He also informed the SIM cards in my devices would still require more time to activate and that they should be turned on by 7:00 a.m. the next day.
While doing research on the SIM issue, I found that VERIZON policy was immediate and SIMs would not require rebooting time to come out of I believe it is called “AG” or “aging” status.  Again contacting VERIZON customer service (call 12, 10/10/2014) spoke with a female customer service agent, who actually looking back was the only one not to represent falsehoods or lies, informed me that because the SIM cards were previously associated with cancelled lines, I would need to go to a VERIZON wireless store and get two new SIM cards.  At this point in the day it was about 10:00 p.m. and all VERIZON stores were closed for the day.  With no choice in the matter, I agreed, and asked just out of curiosity, on the status of the$70.00 bill credit, I was promised on October 9, 2014.  At that point the rep informed me that she was able to see that the VERIZON MANAGER had notated and put a credit request in while I was speaking with him, but then immediately cancelled his own request and closed the situation immediately following the completion of our call.  I believe at this point in the entire situation I was so fed up this did not surprise me whatsoever so who could I complain to.  The very nice customer service representative again apologized for the continued lies I was told and offered me (not a bill credit), but a data GB credit for 12 months (again without me asking for anything).  In her own words “I do not want to promise you the world and then lie to you and get your hopes up thinking it will happen as has happened to you numerous times.”    I truly appreciated her honesty and her acknowledgement of the complete disgusting actions by previous VERIZON employees and MANAGERS.
The next day October 11, 2014 I drove with both IPhones to the Verizon big box store, explained the entire story to the employee, was apologized to for a 20 minutes, the manager came out and apologized as well, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!  The store is located at 2028 Florence Mall Rd, Space 1139, Florence, KY, (859) 746-3790 (Manager was great so was employee).  Never once offered me anything to make up for mistakes VERIZON had made in the past, which I really didn’t care because I never asked nor expected anything, but were truly grateful for my service (I am military and a Federal Law Enforcement Officer) and truly apologized for the actions of the Verizon Sore in Cincinnati Ohio (Again the manager stated the manager at the Cincinnati store lied), and especially apologized for all the lies and mis-information given to me over a three plus week time period.
Finally, October 15, 2014, I log in to my Verizon wireless account to view my features and reactivate VERIZON’s high definition calling features and see that since September 19, 2014 (original date I purchased the IPhones) I have been charged for Verizon Cloud storage.  I HAVE NEVER AGREED TO THESE SERVICES, NEVER REQUESTED THESE SERVICES, NEVER EVEN NEW THEY WERE THERE!!!!  Again had to call VERIZON for the fraud and lies they are perpetrating on a daily basis, COMPLAIN to another customer service rep (call 13 10/15/2014) in order to get the fraudulent charges removed from my bill.
    Conclusion
Here I sit writing this long complaint that no one in VERIZON will ever be held accountable for, no one will answer for the lies, mis-information, and disrespect employees and VERIZON MANAGERS perpetrate even though each lie was documented by VERIZON in account notations, and no one will be accountable for the lies the retail stores tell in order to increase their QUOTA to activate a certain amount of new lines per month.  I am utterly disgusted with the treatment I have received, will be requesting these notations (if they have not been deleted from my account), have documented each conversation, and recorded many of the conversations, with an end result of pretty much nothing.  VERIZON does not care about their customers and could probably care less about my terrible experience.  While there are several other cellular options available, they are all crooks and liars just as the perfect documented examples of VERIZON employees and management lying in this case.

        Giogetz,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am shocked by the many representatives that you had to speak to regarding your first request. This situation should have never gotten to be complicated and resulting in multiple calls from you. I apologize on behalf of those representatives for dropping the ball. I do agree that the representatives do need to be held accountable and I would like to submit feedback for those that you worked with. I have sent you a direct message. Please reply to the direct message so I can begin submitting feedback.

  • OPENREACH INCOMPETENCE, LIES AND DECEPTION

    Dear BT
Can you please, please, please explain why when I lost both my telephone line and broadband on Christmas Day, you decided that you did not want to repair either of these until the middle of January or perhaps February, or maybe never?  At this time of writing on the 7th Jany 2015 you so far failed to attend the 3 seperated appointments made for 31/12/2014, 2/01/2015 and again today 07/01/2015.  This, despite, your executive level customer service specialist team chasing Openreach and getting cast iron guarantees that an engineer would absolutely without fail be onsite today.  Of course and engineer abosolutely without fail, failed to be on site and despite many phonecalls to and from from your customer services to my cell phone, OpenReach obviously don't give a **bleep**.
We then had the ultimate insult of a phone call from India, the gentlemen concerned claiming to be an Openreach manager, asking if the phone line was still faulty or did we want it repairing at 3.30 this afternoon, 3 hours after the engineer had failed to turn up for his alloted time slot of the morning appointment.  Was this phone call a deliberate insult or just done to make fun out of your frustrated customer?
    Yours
    Katrina Halsey

  • IOS 7.0.3 will not correctly "manually manage music and videos" any more?

So, on all my iOS devices, I have always used "Manually manage music and videos" to drag albums from my iTunes library to my iPhones.
I then use iTunes to delete the albums and replace them with others (I have a lot of music).
With the iOS 7.0.3 update -- if I delete songs on the phone in iTunes 11.1.2 -- they show (in iTunes) that they have been deleted.
However, the songs are still on the iPhone when I go back to the Music app.
Is anybody else seeing this? I filed this (as it wasn't an issue with 7.0, 7.0.1 or 7.0.2), but am wondering if I'm missing something terribly obvious all of a sudden...
My only options at this point are to manually delete songs on the phone individually or to delete *all* the songs from Settings -- neither of which is optimal.
I filed a bug on this, but wondered if anybody else ran across this and figured out how to fix it?

It looks as though I MAY have found a solution after playing with this since last night ... Let me know if it works for you!
I went through and deleted a few random songs through iTunes on the "On This iPhone" tab ... they still showed on my iPhone but not in the Music part on iTunes. I then clicked sync at the bottom next to the memory bar on iTunes and it seemed to have removed the songs from my iPhone.
However, my iPhone is saying I have 1 more song than my iTunes is saying which I still don't understand but if I can still manually manage my music I guess it's a small price to pay for the minor confusion.
Really getting tired of becoming a detective just to work my phone appropriately. Apple should really stop making all these changes and stick to what the customers know and like. Frustrated and annoyed customers won't raise their sales...

I have changed the jar files path in build.properties file as its required to import new jars as part of Documentum server upgradation. But getting above errors.. Do i have to update Config.xml file or any other file.. Please suggest.

    You've got a problem with a corrupted config.xml file.
Since you did not make any changes you can copy the config.xml.booted file over the corrupted config.xml.
The other option is to walk though the config.xml file and look for the problem...

  • Imported sealed Management Pack and its not showing up in Data Warehouse Job MPSyncJob

    Hello,
When i try to Import a sealed Management Pack (with defined new Dimensions for Data Warehouse) it works fine, and it shows up under Management Packs under the Administration Pane. But its not showing up in the Data Warehouse Job "MPSyncJob".
No errors in the Eventlog on the DW Management Server and cant see any errors in failed Data Warehouse Jobs either.
I imported the MP three Days ago and still nothing.
    Now what?
    /Maekee

I have a smaller SCSM Lab that i can import this MP in and the classes are created in the DW. Now is the question why its not working in my PreProd env and why i dont get any errors in the Event Log? Anyone that can Point me in the right direction for
    this?

  • CONCURRENT MANAGER SETUP AND CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS IN AN 11I RAC ENVIR

    제품 : AOL
    작성날짜 : 2004-05-13
    PURPOSE
RAC-PCP 구성에 대한 Setup 사항을 기술한 문서입니다.
PCP 구현은 CM의 workload 분산, Failover등을 목적으로 합니다.
    Explanation
Failure sceniro 는 다음 3가지로 구분해 볼수 있습니다.
    1. The database instance that supports the CP, Applications, and Middle-Tier
processes such as Forms, or iAS can fail.
    2. The Database node server that supports the CP, Applications, and Middle-
Tier processes such as Forms, or iAS can fail.
    3. The Applications/Middle-Tier server that supports the CP (and Applications)
    base can fail.
    아래부분은 CM,AP 구성과
CM과 GSM(Global Service Management)과의 관계를 설명하고 있습니다.
The concurrent processing tier can reside on either the Applications, Middle-
Tier, or Database Tier nodes. In a single tier configuration, non PCP
environment, a node failure will impact Concurrent Processing operations do to
any of these failure conditions. In a multi-node configuration the impact of
any these types of failures will be dependent upon what type of failure is
experienced, and how concurrent processing is distributed among the nodes in
the configuration. Parallel Concurrent Processing provides seamless failover
for a Concurrent Processing environment in the event that any of these types of
    failures takes place.
In an Applications environment where the database tier utilizes Listener (
server) load balancing is implemented, and in a non-load balanced environment,
there are changes that must be made to the default configuration generated by
Autoconfig so that CP initialization, processing, and PCP functionality are
initiated properly on their respective/assigned nodes. These changes are
described in the next section - Concurrent Manager Setup and Configuration
Requirements in an 11i RAC Environment.
The current Concurrent Processing architecture with Global Service Management
consists of the following processes and communication model, where each process
is responsible for performing a specific set of routines and communicating with
    parent and dependent processes.
아래 내용은 PCP환경에서 ICM, FNDSM, IM, Standard Manager의 역활을 설명하고
    있습니다.
Internal Concurrent Manager (FNDLIBR process) - Communicates with the Service
    Manager.
The Internal Concurrent Manager (ICM) starts, sets the number of active
processes, monitors, and terminates all other concurrent processes through
requests made to the Service Manager, including restarting any failed processes.
The ICM also starts and stops, and restarts the Service Manager for each node.
The ICM will perform process migration during an instance or node failure.
    The ICM will be
active on a single node. This is also true in a PCP environment, where the ICM
will be active on at least one node at all times.
Service Manager (FNDSM process) - Communicates with the Internal Concurrent
Manager, Concurrent Manager, and non-Manager Service processes.
The Service Manager (SM) spawns, and terminates manager and service processes (
these could be Forms, or Apache Listeners, Metrics or Reports Server, and any
other process controlled through Generic Service Management). When the ICM
    terminates the SM that
resides on the same node with the ICM will also terminate. The SM is ?hained?
to the ICM. The SM will only reinitialize after termination when there is a
function it needs to perform (start, or stop a process), so there may be
periods of time when the SM is not active, and this would be normal. All
    processes initialized by the SM
inherit the same environment as the SM. The SM environment is set by APPSORA.
env file, and the gsmstart.sh script. The TWO_TASK used by the SM to connect
to a RAC instance must match the instance_name from GV$INSTANCE. The apps_<sid>
listener must be active on each CP node to support the SM connection to the
    local instance. There
should be a Service Manager active on each node where a Concurrent or non-
    Manager service process will reside.
Internal Monitor (FNDIMON process) - Communicates with the Internal Concurrent
    Manager.
The Internal Monitor (IM) monitors the Internal Concurrent Manager, and
restarts any failed ICM on the local node. During a node failure in a PCP
environment the IM will restart the ICM on a surviving node (multiple ICM's may
be started on multiple nodes, but only the first ICM started will eventually
remain active, all others will gracefully terminate). There should be an
Internal Monitor defined on each node
    where the ICM may migrate.
Standard Manager (FNDLIBR process) - Communicates with the Service Manager and
    any client application process.
The Standard Manager is a worker process, that initiates, and executes client
requests on behalf of Applications batch, and OLTP clients.
Transaction Manager - Communicates with the Service Manager, and any user
process initiated on behalf of a Forms, or Standard Manager request. See Note:
240818.1 regarding Transaction Manager communication and setup requirements for
    RAC.
Concurrent Manager Setup and Configuration Requirements in an 11i RAC
    Environment
PCP를 사용하기위한 기본적인 Setup 절차를 설명하고 있습니다.
In order to set up Setup Parallel Concurrent Processing Using AutoConfig with
    GSM,
follow the instructions in the 11.5.8 Oracle Applications System Administrators
    Guide
under Implementing Parallel Concurrent Processing using the following steps:
    1. Applications 11.5.8 and higher is configured to use GSM. Verify the
configuration on each node (see WebIV Note:165041.1).
    2. On each cluster node edit the Applications Context file (<SID>.xml), that
resides in APPL_TOP/admin, to set the variable <APPLDCP oa_var="s_appldcp">
ON </APPLDCP>. It is normally set to OFF. This change should be performed
    using the Context Editor.
    3. Prior to regenerating the configuration, copy the existing tnsnames.ora,
listener.ora and sqlnet.ora files, where they exist, under the 8.0.6 and iAS
ORACLE_HOME locations on the each node to preserve the files (i.e./<some_
    directory>/<SID>ora/$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/<SID>/tnsnames.ora). If any of
the Applications startup scripts that reside in COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<SID>
have been modified also copy these to preserve the files.
    4. Regenerate the configuration by running adautocfg.sh on each cluster node as
    outlined in Note:165195.1.
    5. After regenerating the configuration merge any changes back into the
tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and sqlnet.ora files in the network directories,
and the startup scripts in the COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<SID> directory.
Each nodes tnsnames.ora file must contain the aliases that exist on all
other nodes in the cluster. When merging tnsnames.ora files ensure that each
node contains all other nodes tnsnames.ora entries. This includes tns
entries for any Applications tier nodes where a concurrent request could be
initiated, or request output to be viewed.
    6. In the tnsnames.ora file of each Concurrent Processing node ensure that
there is an alias that matches the instance name from GV$INSTANCE of each
Oracle instance on each RAC node in the cluster. This is required in order
for the SM to establish connectivity to the local node during startup. The
entry for the local node will be the entry that is used for the TWO_TASK in
APPSORA.env (also in the APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.env file referenced in the
    Applications Listener [APPS_<SID>] listener.ora file entry "envs='MYAPPSORA=<
    some directory>/APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.env)
on each node in the cluster (this is modified in step 12).
    7. Verify that the FNDSM_<SID> entry has been added to the listener.ora file
under the 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/<SID> directory. See WebiV Note:
165041.1 for instructions regarding configuring this entry. NOTE: With the
implementation of GSM the 8.0.6 Applications, and 9.2.0 Database listeners
must be active on all PCP nodes in the cluster during normal operations.
    8. AutoConfig will update the database profiles and reset them for the node
from which it was last run. If necessary reset the database profiles back to
    their original settings.
    9. Ensure that the Applications Listener is active on each node in the cluster
where Concurrent, or Service processes will execute. On each node start the
database and Forms Server processes as required by the configuration that
    has been implemented.
    10. Navigate to Install > Nodes and ensure that each node is registered. Use
the node name as it appears when executing a nodename?from the Unix prompt on
the server. GSM will add the appropriate services for each node at startup.
    11. Navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Define, and set up the primary and
secondary node names for all the concurrent managers according to the
desired configuration for each node workload. The Internal Concurrent
Manager should be defined on the primary PCP node only. When defining the
Internal Monitor for the secondary (target) node(s), make the primary node (
local node) assignment, and assign a secondary node designation to the
Internal Monitor, also assign a standard work shift with one process.
    12. Prior to starting the Manager processes it is necessary to edit the APPSORA.
env file on each node in order to specify a TWO_TASK entry that contains
the INSTANCE_NAME parameter for the local nodes Oracle instance, in order
to bind each Manager to the local instance. This should be done regardless
of whether Listener load balancing is configured, as it will ensure the
configuration conforms to the required standards of having the TWO_TASK set
to the instance name of each node as specified in GV$INSTANCE. Start the
Concurrent Processes on their primary node(s). This is the environment
that the Service Manager passes on to each process that it initializes on
behalf of the Internal Concurrent Manager. Also make the same update to
the file referenced by the Applications Listener APPS_<SID> in the
    listener.ora entry "envs='MYAPPSORA= <some directory>/APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.
    env" on each node.
    13. Navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Administer and verify that the Service
Manager and Internal Monitor are activated on the secondary node, and any
other addititional nodes in the cluster. The Internal Monitor should not be
active on the primary cluster node.
    14. Stop and restart the Concurrent Manager processes on their primary node(s),
and verify that the managers are starting on their appropriate nodes. On
the target (secondary) node in addition to any defined managers you will
see an FNDSM process (the Service Manager), along with the FNDIMON process (
    Internal Monitor).

What is your database version? OS?
We are using VCP suite for Planning Purpose. We are using VCP environment (12.1.3) in Decentralized structure connecting to 3 differect source environment ( consisting 11i and R12). As per the Oracle Note {RAC Configuration Setup For Running MRP Planning, APS Planning, and Data Collection Processes [ID 279156]} we have implemented RAC in our test environment to get better performance.
But after doing all the setups and concurrent programs assignment to different nodes, we are seeing huge performance issue. The Complete Collection which takes generally on an avg 180 mins in Production, is taking more than 6 hours to complete in RAC.
So I would like to get suggestion from this forum, if anyone has implemented RAC in pure VCP (decentralized) environment ? Will there be any improvement if we make our VCP Instance in RAC ?Do you PCP enabled? Can you reproduce the issue when you stop the CM?

Started everything up: oemctl start oms, agentctl start agent, apachectl start...
Run Manager Console on Linux machine (i.e. locally)
    Runs successfully - connecting stand-alone
Runs successfully - connecting to management sever
Installed client software on a Windows NT PC.
    Runs successfully - connecting stand-alone
FAILS - connecting to Management server
On another NT PC, try running web interface to Management server
FAILS - Same error as when using thick client.
Failure is the same in both cases: The exception (java.lang.NullPointerException) occured.
Failure of both of these suggested a server issue...
Don't know where to find management server logs?
Looking at $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/error_log seems unable to find files, e.g.:

I have tried reinstalling Oracle website, however this made no difference.

Can you ping the server which is running OEM from the client NT machine?
Are you trying to connect using DNS or IP?
    Verify that this works first.

  • Failed to load class properties and qualifiers for class BDD_UsePackage in task sequence. 0x80041002

Following situation. In SCCM we have one Standalone Primray Site Server and two Site Server. The two site server are also SMS Provider. MDT 2012 was installed on all three Servers and the Config Manager Integration was run. When starting the Console
on any of this server and editing an MDT Task Sequence, it occasionally pops up an error "An error occured when loading the task sequence". TaskSequenceProvider.log File throws a lot of errors:
    [PID: 2824] Invoking method SMS_TaskSequence.LoadFromXml TaskSequenceProvider 20.06.2012 10:28:50 4916 (0x1334)

Tried removing the integration on all SMS Provider Machines and readded them. It does not make a differenence. Does anyone know if MDT supports the use of multiple SMS Providers? When I only use one Provider and deinstall the other two, it works ok.

Some more info from the log files:
