But we still getting the same error.

    Hi Poonam!
Got to dig in the past a bit, I remember Users being able to create SLD object have to have certain permissions set in the J2EE UME. Simple Admin rights do not suffer, if I recall right.
Unfortunately I cannot go further in detail because this issue has been solved by a long gone collegue of mine.
    Good luck anyway!

  • Couldn't create jco client connection for logical system

    Dear Experts,
we are facing a strange issue in our custom webdynpro java application, few of our portal users are getting the "couldn't create jco client connection for logical system" for Model Data JCO Destination. below are details
    1. portal version 7.02 SP14 (we have recently updated to SP14 from SP02-- is this is causing the issue ?)
1.1. updated the NWDI track with SP14 SCA files as well as added latest WD Runtime SCA file deployed the applications to Production also.
    2. above said exception is inconsistent and happening for only few users
    3. ping and test of jco destinations are successfull in content administration as well as in SLD, destinations were added in the SLD system.
    4. cleared the JCO ARFC meta data cache in webdynpro console
    5. jco destinations are configured using uid/pwd, configured user is not locked active and tested in the backend by logging in with the same user.
    6. restarted the portal server
even though, we are getting the above said exception for few of portal users randomly.
Please help me on this ASAP, as i am not getting any further help on this.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

    Hello Ram,
Check the JCo Pool Configuration settings of your JCO Destination. This message normally comes when the maximum connections has been reached. Increase the "Maximum Connections" to some number depending on the usage. A good habit is to disconnect the jco connection after executing the same in your webdynpro code if you don't want it to be synchronous.
    <ModelName>.modelInstance().disconnectIfAlive()
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi Prasanna
I am getting this error while installing the Java Add-on. The installation was in the last stage and there it got struck when it tried to reboot the java engine. I am using SAPJSF user to communicate with ABAP stack and it has the full authorizations. I even checked and see that SAPJSF user is not locked. I also tried with another user and still the same issue. As per the log it the java engine is able to login with the user, but it is trying to create a user and fialing there. I am not sure why it is creating this user.

  • Creating New Source System Connection

[First post, so go easy on me!]
I have created a source system connection in BW QA, to an additional R3 QA client, but I am unable to assign any datasources to the new this new connection. [I know that I should have created the connection in DEV and transported through, but I need this connection for a small test, that won't be used again.]
To get round this, do I need to have my BW & R3 clients 'opened' again, then transfer the 'Application Component Hierarchy' via RSA9, then 'Replicate Datasources' in BW. If not, does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Scott

    Scott,
You will have to transfer the BC datasources that you want to use from R/3 to BW.
in BW, right-click your source system in the modeling tab and select replicate datasources, this will take you through to your R/3 system. Select the datasources you want to use and transfer them. Then go back to your BW system and right-click the source system and select "Transfer datasources". This should make them available.
If when you have got through to R/3 to transfer the datasources you are told that cross-client customising is not available then I think that you will have to get the client opened up.
    Cheers,
    Stuart

  • Trouble creating new application server connection

Hi. I am trying to create a new application server connection in jdev 10.1.3.1.0. I am taking all of the default settings in the wizard, and I am specifiying user name, password and checking deploy password. When I click test connection on the last screen of the wizard I get:
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://localhost:23791/default:

Does anybody know how to correct this?
    Thank you.

    Hello Anil,
The error that you are getting indicates that the user that you are using to install the dialog server does not have enough rights to connect to the SAPMNT share of the central instance.
    Please do the following:
1.) Make sure that you are using a domain admin ID or a local admin ID that is on both systems with the same password.
2.) Verify that SAPMNT is shared on the central instance by using the "net share" command from a Windows command prompt.
3.) Make sure that the domain admin or local admin group is added to the file level permissions and share level permissions of SAPMNT with full rights.
Also the general install guides will also have instructions on how to install a dialog instance as well.
    Hope this helps you,

  • Abap Rfc External Debug from a Jco Client Connection

    Hi to all,
    i have developed a Java Application on Sap J2ee (SAP-JEE 7.01 SP6) , using the Jco2 integrated.
I'm using direct connection , calling Custom Functions Module on  Abap Stack.
I have a question about Abap Debugging:
now i debug the abap function setting an external session breakpoint (SE37) and  the abap debug stops  correctly on breakpoint that i've set.
But sometimes i notice the strange situation that during my debug another debug session (identical to the first) is open on my sap gui (it seems that Jco sends another request while i'm debugging the first )
Reading the jco documentation i've seen this method that i never used: JCO.Client setAbapDebug(boolean debug)
            Enables/disables abap debug.
Note:If the connection is already established the method will close and reopen the connection.
have I  to set this in my java code in addition to abap external breakpoint? Why Jco.Client sends another request?
    Thanks for the answers
    Alessandro

    Anyone know?
    Thanks,
    Augusto Póvoa.

  • Can't obtain JCO client connection

    Hello all,
I defined a destination in the Visual Admin.
Run a successful test with the test button.
Created an EJB that accesses the destination successfully, but getting an exception when trying to create a client (the last code line) :
    RFCDestination dst = (RFCDestination) dstService.getDestination("RFC", "DGL_DEST_TEST");
    Properties jcoProperties = dst.getJCoProperties();
    JCO.Client client = JCO.createClient(jcoProperties);
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for your time, Adi.

    Hi Denis,
I wrote the code in an EJB and running the EJB threw a Web Service.
I don't have much experience in J2EE but it looks like because I'm running threw a
Web Service I don't get the details of the exception.
even though the code is in a try-catch block all I get is an error saying:
    Exception in method name_of_method.
This is why I can't give anymore information.
Can you advice on another way of running the EJB so I'll be able to see more information?
    Thanks, Adi.

  • [Application Insights] Fail to create new application using REST API

    Hi,
I'm trying to create new application in Application Insights using the REST API.
    I followed the instructions on
this page, but keep getting '404 Not Found', with the following error stream:
"{"error":{"code":"InvalidResourceType","message":"The resource type could not be found in the namespace 'microsoft.insights' for api version '2014-04-01'."}}"
The http method I'm using is: PUT
    The request URI is:
    "https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/some_real_subscription_id/resourceGroups/yonisha-new-rg/providers/microsoft.insights/component/yonisha-new-app?api-version=2014-04-01".
Can you please advice what am I doing wrong?
    Few things:
I tried both with existing/non-existing resource group.
I set the Content-Length header to '0' (otherwise the server returns an error the the length is required).

Try the API Version "2014-08-01" and also make sure you are sending a location of "Central US" (its the only location available right now).  An example of a PowerShell call that works is below.  I would also suggest checking
out the new https://resources.azure.com/ which can help you construct the REST call.
New-AzureResource -Name TestAppInsights -ResourceGroupName TestRG -ResourceType "Microsoft.Insights/Components" -Location "Central US" -ApiVersion "2014-08-01"

  • Error in wizard to create new RFC model: connect to message server failed

    Hi,
I am trying to create a new RFC model in my Web Dynpro project in NWDS.  In the wizard, I reach the step where I am required to enter the SAP login information.  I then enter the details in the Load Balancing tab and click Next.  The error message I get is:
    Connect to message server failed
    Connect_PM MSHOST=****, R3NAME=*, GROUP=**
LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host ***
    ERROR service '***" unknown
(Note: the *** are client-specific and therefore confidential info so I am removing them).
The thing is, a colleague of mine is also doing the same thing, but he is not encountering this error.
Can someone help me troubleshoot this?

    Hi
The user you use to connect in the RFC should have the authorization to S_RFC. In the Duet installation guide look for the section about defining a system user ID in UME. This section has details about the authorization required for the user.
