I installed the Oracle AutoVue Desktop Version 20.0.3.
Created an VS2008 C# COM DLL , added the jVueAX.ocx as reference, build as x86 32 bit dll.
In my AutoVueControl class, in the class Initialize method, will create a new Active X class.
JVueAXLib.JVueAXControlClass _jvueCtr = new JVueAXLib.JVueAXControlClass(); The COM dll build successfully, I register the dll as TLB.
The place I am using this dll is VB6 project, added COM dll as reference.
After I create object of AutoVueControl, then call it's Initialize method, create an new JVueAXControlClass always failed.
ExternalException: External component has thrown an exception.
ExternalException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {18287F19-E0CB-47E3-BB29-C28F8D805313} failed due to the following error: 80040111.
The CLSID {18287F19-E0CB-47E3-BB29-C28F8D805313} is JVueAXLib.JVueAXControlClass and is registered in my machine.

Which AutoVue are you using?
Desktop Version uses "AutoVueX Control" (AutoVueX.ocx)
Desktop Deployment uses "AutoVue ActiveX Control" (jVueAX.ocx)
Is it possible that the ActiveX controls are mixed due to both AutoVue flavors installed?

SLD is Up and running
CIM data is imported
Solution tried :
1) As no role wtih name LcrInstanceWriterLD was existing in the server ,hence created a new role with same name and assigned the LCR related action . Assigned the role to the user through which we are creating JCOs.
But we still getting the same error.

Hi Poonam!
Got to dig in the past a bit, I remember Users being able to create SLD object have to have certain permissions set in the J2EE UME. Simple Admin rights do not suffer, if I recall right.
Unfortunately I cannot go further in detail because this issue has been solved by a long gone collegue of mine.

Based on the error message 'Caused by: com.sap.engine.services.jmx.exception.JmxSecurityException: Caller J2EE_GUEST not authorized, only role administrators is allowed to access JMX' , this note shall solve this issue:
948970 - Caller J2EE_GUEST not authorized, only role administrators
Also check if the ADSUSER and ADS_AGENT have the correct password and the respective roles.

I am getting this error while installing the Java Add-on. The installation was in the last stage and there it got struck when it tried to reboot the java engine. I am using SAPJSF user to communicate with ABAP stack and it has the full authorizations. I even checked and see that SAPJSF user is not locked. I also tried with another user and still the same issue. As per the log it the java engine is able to login with the user, but it is trying to create a user and fialing there. I am not sure why it is creating this user.

.ard file not created - visual studio 2008

Hi, I'm creating addon installer for SAP B1 2007 SP1 PL05 running on Windows Server 2008 virtual machine. Visual Studio 2008 and B1DE 2.0 are installed on a Windows 7 virtual machine.
I followed the steps to create new project using SAP B1 AddOnInstaller .NET Wizard. The AddOnRegDataGen.bat ran automatically when the wizard finished, and I also manually ran the .bat file, but in the bin folder only these 4 files were created:
Installer.exe, Installer.vshost.exe, Installer.vshost.exe.manifest, Installer.xml
The .exe file is not using the name I gave to the Installation project, and .ard file is missing.
In AddonRegDataGen.bat the version is "20090901" - it only contains numbers, so this could not be the problem.

Could you take a look at AddonRegDataGen.bat under AddOnRegDataGenFile folder?
Can you find AddOnRegDataGen.exe path as indicated in the 1st line of AddonRegDataGen.bat?
Typically it is under:
"C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Tools\AddOnRegDataGen\AddOnRegDataGen.exe"
Please be sure SDK component installed and correct the batch file with the right path of AddOnRegDataGen.exe.
Then run the batch manually. Or you can create ARD with AddOnRegDataGen.exe directly.

New to Visual Studio 2008, not new to CR - but have question

I started a position to build reports for a small company. They use VS 2008 and Crystal 2008 (basic). I am not new to Crystal Reports, been using it since version 4.0. But I am new to integrating it into Visual Studio or using it to deploy reports via a web application.
I was able to create a dataset, connect Crystal to the Dataset in Visual Studio and design a report.
There are two tabs on the bottom of the Crystal Window - one is to the design side and one is to preview the main page of the report.
So here in lies the problem - when I go to view the results - there are none. It is random or dummy data being presented in Visual Studio 2008.
I have scoured MSDN and SAP forums looking for help in this. I see other posts that elude to the same issue, but --there has to be some way to see the data in Visual Studio.
Can someone explain to me why I don't see the real data from the dataset? And more importantly where is the tutorials for Visual Studio 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008?

I have also seen the same, that is report displays dummy data at my end however when you run the report from application you get the data that is when you pass the dataset to the report at runtime and not while previewing the report. I believe this is because when we use datasets to design a report we consider the schema of the report mainly not data.
If you mean that you do not get any data in the report then I would suggest you to use the below mentioned code to generate an xsd file, after filling up the dataset so that the report schema and the dataset schema matches.

How to create a site column through Visual Studio 2010?

I was trying to create lists, content type and site columns through Visual Studio 2010. But I could not figure out how to add site column? What item do I need to add for this and what kind of coding is to be done?

1. Create a Empty project in Visual studio.
2.The Empty SharePoint Project template does not include any Features in the Features folder. To add a new Feature to this project, right -click the Features folder, and click Add Feature. This adds a new Feature component to the folder; double – click the
Feature1 icon in Solution Explorer to modify the Feature ’ s
metadata using the Feature designer. The Title and Description values appear on the Features pages in Site settings. It is a good idea to make these values
descriptive so that administrators will know what they are adding to the site when they activate the feature.
The feature ’ s scope determines where the feature can be activated within SharePoint. Please Note – Certain components, such as site columns, content types, Master pages, and Page Layouts, are installed at the site collection level and made available to all
sites within the collection. These components require that the scope for the feature be set to “ Site. ”
3. Next, add a new item to the project (Right – click project name ➪ Add ➪ New Item) and select the Empty Element template from the Add New Item dialog box.
The Empty Element template is an XML fi le where you can enter CAML Field definitions.

If we look at how AFX_CLASS_EXPORT and AFX_CLASS_IMPORT are defined in afxv_dll.h we see the following.

So, when exporting our classes from our DLL we want the class declarations from the DLL to look like this:-

OK, so here's how I do things.
In the stdafx.h file for the export DLL, include two #defines at the bottom of the file like this:-

Now, in the main header file for your DLL, say mylib.h (the main 'point of entry' header for your DLL that you will include in you application later), add the following at the top:-

What is the best process for creating, opening, editing, etc PDFs from within Visual Studio 2008?

I am the project manager on a web-based application that will need to:
Create, open, edit, save, etc PDFs from within a Visual Studio 2008 web application (Visual Basic).
Populate PDFs from SQL server 2010 database.
Allow users to use PDF editing tools from within the website.
BTW, the application is being written in Visual Basic.
Will the SDK allow us to do this? What licenses do we need to purchase?
Are there 3rd party plugins that make doing these things much faster and simpler?

I don't think Acrobat, or the Acrobat SDK can help you. Acrobat cannot be run on a server.

Evaluation period has ended trying to create a BizTalk project in Visual Studio 2013 ultimate

Hi,
I am doing a proof-of-concept with BizTalk, and I am using evaluation versions of everything involved, SQL server 2012 SP1, Windows server 2012, Visual Studio 2013 R2 and BizTalk 2013 R2.
All worked (relatively speaking) until I finally came to creating a BizTalk project in Visual Studio 2013 R2.
I installed the relevant BizTalk components on that machine (windows 8.1 32-bit, non eval) and then I get the BizTalk evaluation period has ended error message.
I am sort of stumped, I have a long while left on the evaluation period on all involved software, anyone knows what this is about?

It is due to a connection manager being deleted.
Oftentimes fixable by introducing it back. Sometimes the package even runs successfully even w/o it.
But if you can create a new package anew.
