Failed to deploy web application "ADFToyStore". Failed to deploy web applic

Finding problem deploying ADF ToyStore application on Oracle10g server. The above message is being displayed for deploying ear/war deployable files. Also, I have an application (BC4J) built on Jdeveloper 9.0.3.4 and the same problem exists while deploying files on oracle 10g server
I have installed ADF installer (manually) on oracle 10g app server. Nothing seems to be working. Frustrated...
Please help.

I think I know the solution. We encountered exactly same message and no further deployment could be made. It appeared message in "dcmctl" utility was much more helpfull than the one in EM (though you still have to use "getError" command...)
If you are using file-based repository, you have to issue command in dcmctl utility "resetFileTransaction". This closes repository and opens it again.

  • Web Application services failing to start (Foundation SS, Hyperion Admin)

    Hello,
    Hyperion Essbase 11.1.1.3
In my installation recently my web applications are failing to start properly. I'm following the start order and allowing services time to come up, but they are still reporting an error.
    1. OpenLDAP starts fine, and quickly.
    2. Hyperion Foundation Shared Services - Web Application will not start. It fails each time (as does Hyperion Administration Services - Web Application) with the same error message in the logs (see below).
Nothing has changed on these servers in a long time. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

I have had this exact issue and it is caused by a corrupt security.xml file in Websphere. (This was in our System 9 environment)
    I navigated to D:\Hyperion\deployments\Websphere6\profile\config\cells\hyslCell
and replaced the old security.xml file with a non 0 kb file from backup and restarted the services and it corrected the issue.
    Hope that helps!

  • Deploy to Application Server Failed on a distributed environment

    Hi All,
I am trying to configure new Hyperion verion 11.1.2.2 on distributed environment but during configuring calculation manager to application server failed and getting error message like "Deploy to Application Server Failed". I am not sure what is issue and how to fix it. I have tried to read log files but I am not able to undersantd where to look and debug this issue.
My Hyperion Environment over view as a below:-
1- I have used Microsoft VMWARE to build my Hyperion Enviornment
2- I have created 1 window server 2003 domain and made 4 clients of that domain. (All these systems have windows server 2003 installed). I have given name to each client server i.e. System A, System B, System C, System D
3- I have installed SQL 2005 and created databases for all Hyperion components i.e. Shared services, calculation manager, epma on a system A
5- I have installed and configured foundation services and weblogic server on a system B. (In this system I have installed and configured shared services, weblogic, workspace, and able to deploye application server on a same system)
6- On a system A I am able to complete installation for hyperion Performance Management Architect and Calculation Manager and able to finish all type of configuration for these two components but as soon as system trying to configure any related to APPLICATION SERVER services it fails to configure. On a configuration summary page system shows everything is configured but APPLICATION SERVER says FAILED wrtten on a red color letters.
I have explored log files and found that Calculation Manager application server failed to deploy or Deploy to Application server failed.....
Since, I am not sure where to look and how to debug this issue I am requesting to all hyperion friends to help and guide me to debug as I have been trying to install this product since last friday and still no out put....
I will be really thankful if someone share his or her wisdom to help me....
Thank you to all in Advance.....
    Thanks,
    Safi

Did you install all the WebLogic web applications on the foundation machine as well as the machine they are going to be deployed to.
"On the machine on which you plan to administer the WebLogic Server, you must install all Web applications for all applications you plan to deploy on any machine in the environment. (The WebLogic Administration Server is installed and deployed on the Foundation Services machine.)"
    Cheers

    Hi JH,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you deleted  columns in SharePoint 2010.
Please add the following string in <system.web> section of your web.config file :
    <pages validateRequest="false" enableEventValidation="false" viewStateEncryptionMode ="Never" />
Note: before changing web.config, please make a backup for the file.

SOA is not required. WebGate is a separate installation, separate from where you install the Oracle Access Manager.
Oracle Access Manager is like the management station, WebGate would typically be installed on a host where a Web Server is running. So WebGate running on the WebServer host would be used to provide access control functions for web pages hosted on Web Server. You will have to do the configuration of WebGate separately after Access Manager has been installed. Please mark answer helpful/correct if helpful.

  • Setup Team Foundation Server - Team Site Collection - SharePoint Web Application Settings failed with error TF205014, TF250025

    Hi
I have TFS server installed and working with other SharePoint farm.  (TFS installed,  SharePoint extension installed and Granted Access for TFS.
When Setup TFS - SharePoint Web Application Settings,  It ask for the three values:
    Web Application URL:
    Central Administration URL:
Default Location of team project collection sites:
What notice about the TFS sites that are working is that they are Path Based Site Collection.  Created with SharePoint Web Application managed path (like
http://spserver/sites/tfs_site1) and so it easy to see it will work.
    Web Application URL:  http://spserver
    CA URL :   http://spserver:portnumber
Default Location :  Sites or any managed path
We start using Host Name Site Collection (HNSC) to get the benefit of multiple unique site name without having multiple web application for each.  Work great but when we tried to setup and extend TFS service on the HNSC, we could
not get them to work and got errors when trying different variation of path URL.
After doing lot of searching on this, I came up pretty empty and I don't know if that is possible so my question is Have anyone able to setup TFS to work with SharePoint 2013 Host Name Site Collection?
If you have, a simple yes will be great but please share or even if anyone think it is possible or not possible, please share too.
Thanks in advance for any comment / suggestion.
    Swanl

    Hi  Swanl,
I’m afraid that we cannot setup TFS to work  with SharePoint 2013 Host Name Site Collection.
Also you can  initial a new thread in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server forums:
Team Foundation Server – General: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/home?forum=tfsgeneral
More experts for Team Foundation Server will assist you, then you will get more information relation to your issue.
For integrating SharePoint 2013 with Team Foundation Server 2013 you can have a look at the following blog:
    http://nakedalm.com/integrate-sharepoint-2013-with-team-foundation-server-2013/
    Thanks,

    Hi,
We did that earlier, too (modified existing domain).
Also, after that, we created new domain and extended it according to you suggestions but no change.

  • Web application in war format deployed as application-Plz show some light

    hello,
I have created a war file which contains jsps and beans only ,no ejbs. When I deploy
the same application in exploded directory format it runs perfect but when i pack
the application in war file and try to deploy it, the application is shown under
applications node in administration console not under web application node. Why
,do some thing special have to be done to deploy it in war format.I have copied
the war file under applications directory in order to deploy it but it works fine
if I copy the top level directory (i.e deploying in exploded directory format)
under applications directory but why not with war file.
Any immediate help is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Rose

In 6.0, if a web app is showing up under the "applications" node instead of
the "web applications" node, I suspect you have either omitted or
    mis-configured the WEB-INF/web.xml deployment descriptor.
    Check out
    <http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs60/programming/webappdeployment.html> for
help on writing the deployment descriptor, or upgrade to WebLogic Server 6.1
where WLS creates a default web.xml for you if you don't supply one.

    Hello,
I have created a chat application containing jsps and beans, and deployedit first
    in the exploded directory format.
It works fine and I was able to run and test it.
Since all the tests are done and the module is over, now i want to packageit in
war file and deploy it.Here comes the problem :-
I have packaged the application in a war file using jar command and copiedit
under applications directory but when i restarted the server(wls 6.0 sp1),i found
in console the application is deployed under applications node and notunder web
    applications node-why?
Agian unpacked the war file and deployed it in exploded directory formatnow the
console shows it under web app node then why does not it deploy it as webapplication
    when deployed in war format.
Any body faced the same situation,Plz help.

  • How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application witth just a JRE [Web Application, WAR, JSP, weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds and JRE]

How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application (either a .war file or a war directory structure) without a java compiler?
I suspect either the JSP specification is flawed (i.e. it doesn't take account of servers using just a JRE), or BEA's implementation is broken.
Production servers do not have a JDK installed. They only have a JRE. Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web Application is deployed onto.
On the development machine, when the server is requested to load the JSP it creates a tmpwar directory within the Web Application directory structure. This is then included in the resultant .war file thus:
              D:\war>jar -tf gmi.war
              META-INF/
              META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
              gmiService.jsp
              WEB-INF/
              WEB-INF/classes/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/gmiService.class
              WEB-INF/getList.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrict.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrictConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/lib/
              WEB-INF/source/
              WEB-INF/source/build.bat
              WEB-INF/source/gmiService.java
              WEB-INF/web.xml
              WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
              tmpwar/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.class
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.java
When deployed on the production server with the web.xml file set to use the following values (note XML stripped):
              weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds
              -1
              weblogic.jsp.precompile
              false
              weblogic.jsp.compileCommand
              javac
              weblogic.jsp.verbose
              true
              weblogic.jsp.packagePrefix
              jsp_servlet
              weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated
              false
              And in the weblogic.properties file:
              weblogic.httpd.webApp.gmi=war/gmi
I've also tried with the .war file, but that insists on creating another tmpwar directory outside of the .war file.
Then, although I have set pageCheckSeconds to -1 (don't check and don't recompile) ter production server still attempts to recompile the JSP's:
              Mon Sep 25 11:40:11 BST 2000:<I> <WebAppServletContext-gmi> *.jsp: init

The default Java compiler from sun lives in the tools.jar that comes with
the JDK. Just add that to your set of JARs which are deployed in production
and you should be fine. No need to install the full JDK - just make the
              tools.jar available to WebLogic.

  • Upgrading Classic based 2010 web application to claim based 2010 web application in Sharepoint server 2010 RTM

    hi all,
i have a web application with classic based authentication in SharePoint server 2010, need to configure FBA for the same app in SharePoint server 2010 RTM.
While trying to change the Authentication Provider, m getting the Form option deactivated.
please let me how to upgrade the Classic mode authentication web app to the Claim Based authentication web app.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Arun Kumar

    Hi Arun Kumar,
Below the grayed out “Form” authentication type, is there a message with a link about how to enable Forms Based Authentication in claims mode?
You should perform the following PowerShell script to convert the existing web application to claim based authentication.
    $w = Get-SPWebApplication "http://<server>/"
    $w.UseClaimsAuthentication = 1
    $w.Update()
    $w.ProvisionGlobally()
For more details, please refer to:

  • Web application can not find apphome /WEB-INF/lib/*.jar files in classpath?

I need to add the jsse jars to one of my servlets. I do not want the jsse in the server classpath(jvm12.conf) however, because this screws with some credit card jar I am using. Can't I have a per application classpath with the /WEB-INF/lib directory? This is iWS 6.0.

In iWS 6.0, the context information such as a context path of the web application and other properties are defined in web-apps.xml file.
'class-loader' element in web-apps.xml file can be be used to specify the class path to a web application and customize how the application is serviced.
Refer to example web-apps.xml file in Prog. guide to Servlets for more details.

  • App Insights for web application not working when deployed to Dev server

App Insights is not sending telemetry data for ASP.NET MVC web *requests* (page views from the JS instrumentation are fine) when the app is deployed to the Dev or Test IIS servers.  On local IIS express it works perfectly fine.    I have
no idea how to troubleshoot this problem.
    Bert Jackson

    - the AI.config file is both in the root of the site, and the /bin folder (which was confusing the other day).  Both are correct.
    - it looks like a local browser can go to https://dc.services.visualstudio.com (it results in a 403 since its just a GET to the root).  During this test, I found that this server did NOT have the Root trust certificate (Baltimore cybertrust), which
would cause problems when using IE locally to browse the app; the javascript AI logging was not working, because it couldnt fetch the ai.0.js file).  I got the proper root certificate installed on the server, but request logging still not working.  I
dont believe the firewall is a problem.
    - I've verified that all binaries are indeed deployed in to the bin folder on the server
    - web.config does have the AI http module; I've verified via logging that the ApplicationInsightsWebTracking is loaded.  However, I have custom Context/Telemetry initializers, and their Initialize() methods are *NOT* being called when deployed on the
server.  I've tried both ways of registering the initializers; via code in the Application_Start() event and also in the ApplicationInsights.config file.
I don't know how to troubleshoot any further, to figure out if AppInsights is actually *trying* to send telemetry out and failing, or if its not actually even trying.

  • Deploying wsrp-samples.ear fails during WebCenter installation

I am trying to install WebCenter 10.3.2 on a RHEL 4 box. Actually it is a VMWare
image, but I don't think it has to do something about VMWare. I'll try to reproduce it
in a native Linux, but currently it is not an option.
I am doing an "advanced" installation, OHS+WebCenter. At the last phase, in the
Oracle WebCenter Configuration assistant, when it tries to install wsrp-samples,
    the installation fails with
    java.io.IOException: Cannot allocate memory
error. At the end of this post you can see the relevant part from the installation log
    file.
BTW, OC4J_WebCenter instance is up, there is plenty (>1 GByte) free memory.
I've tried to install the EAR file through the EM manually, get the same error.
Checked if the EAR (and the WAR) unzips correctly, no error there. Got another
wsrp-samples.ear - from a successfull installation - it fails here! Checked
OC4J's log files (diagnostic log), but I don't gen any more information.
    Desperately need your help! Thanks.!

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for your suggestions, what you've mentioned started me thinking in a new path and here is the solution:
You suggested to start OC4J with specific memory settings, I guess you wanted to say that OC4J needs a lot of memory. Of course it's OPMN, which start OC4J's, so I checked and it turned out, that OC4Js were running with the following parameters:
    java -server -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -XX:PermSize=256m -ms512M -mx1024M ...
I started to play with these parameters (modifying opmn.xml) and suddenly realized that the problem was not that OC4J did not have enough memory, but that it was too eager and requested too much (1024M) from the operating system.
I've changed the values to -ms256m -mx512m and the deployment succeeded!
Of course I still have a couple of open questions:
    1) I did have plenty of memore, "free" told me I had 1500M core and 3000M swap. I wonder why requesting -mx1024M was too much. Maybe I hit some Linux hard limit.
    2) I was a bit surprised to see -ms.. and -mx, Java documentation gives the syntax as -Xms.. and -Xmx... Obviously both seems to be working.
Thanks again! Now that I understood at least partly what went wrong I consider filing a bug about changing the default config values in the installer.
    Regards,
    Istvan

  • Unable  to deploy a web application in war format

    Hello,
I have created a chat application containing jsps and beans, and deployed it first
    in the exploded directory format.
It works fine and I was able to run and test it.
Since all the tests are done and the module is over, now i want to package it in
war file and deploy it.Here comes the problem :-
I have packaged the application in a war file using jar command and copied it
under applications directory but when i restarted the server(wls 6.0 sp1) ,i found
in console the application is deployed under applications node and not under web
    applications node-why?
Agian unpacked the war file and deployed it in exploded directory format now the
console shows it under web app node then why does not it deploy it as web application
    when deployed in war format.
Any body faced the same situation,Plz help.

  • Deployment of Web Application when the managed Server is down .....

Part of our installation, we want to deploy our web application on to a managed server.
So, we use the JMX API calls to deploy the web application. But, at the time of this deployment the managed server is not brought up. So, our expectation was that when the managed server is brought up later, it will automatically STAGE the web application from Admin Server and then, deploy it in the managed server.
But, what is happending is that the web application is not being deployed to the managed server (even though the web application is configured to be deployed in the specified managed server in the config.xml and it is set as the default application of the managed server application).
We are using WebLogic 7.0 SP2 on RedHat Linux 7.2.
Can anyone help to deploy web application on to a managed server when the managed server is down ?
