FAILING TO AUTHENTICATE WITH NETPOINTREALM

Hi,
Customer is integrating BEA WebLogic and OAM as described in the Intergration Guide (B25347-01). They have successfully ran the Policy Deployer tool and the script to create the NetPointRealm in WebLogic.
And also verified that created realm was set as default. When asked for credentials suppied those of the OAM master admin. The WebLogic failed to start giving the authentication error.
In the error log i am able to see "Authentication for user Administrator denied" .
I provided workarouds/solutions from metalink and from "trobleshooting" Topic in integration Guide but did not help the customer.
Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated?
Thanks in advance,
Anisha

Can you check whether you have given correct credentials in the file NetPointProvidersConfig.properties and in the runDeployerTool.cmd.
--- yes i have given correct credntials in NetPointProvidersConfig.properties. btw where can i get this runDeployerTool.cmd ? as in my case i used setupNetPointRealm_wl92.cmd.
Did you see any errors are running Deployer Tool?
--- no i didnt get any error.
Did you check the Current Builder checkbox?
If you didnot, then it might create problems.
-- Yes i checked this current builder option
Also, have you enabled netpointrealm as default realm before WLS restart.
-- Yes i set the NetPointRealm as default realm.

  • Failed to authenticate with the device at ip.ip.ip.ip using TELNET

    Hi!
I can no longer use CCA :-)
I tried everything, but when I enter user and password after waiting a few tens of seconds I get the following error window: "Failed to authenticate with the device at ip.ip.ip.ip using TELNET. TELNET access is required for access to voice configuration. Cannot continue. Exiting CCA."
Given that I do not understand the need to use the 'telnet', I verified that UC500 was reachable from the PC via telnet. But CCA 2.2.5 don't work and I find no reason, even logging on to see go console error messages or anything else that turn me to the solution. Before removing CCA and back to 2.2.4, I see if I could solve the problem somehow.
I tried to see what was going on the network with wireshark:

  • 9630 Tour Device here in the U.S. Cant authenticate with BES that is overseas - help?

My 9630 device was connected to the BES of the my company which is physically in Europe, but stopped getting emails. I am with Verizon as a carrier, they obviously are not as they are in Europe.
For some reason, when setting up the email my device fails to authenticate with 'the server', which I presume the device means to be the company's email server. When I make the connection request, I see the BES data email come into my inbox and process itself, but the device just sits in a 'Activating - Contacting Server.....' state until it times out.
The wierd thing is that I did have it working for 2 weeks, but it has been offline for a month now. Initially I was able to send emails, but not receive, but after some tinkering around by the BES agent in Europe, I can longer send or receive.
I guess what I am looking for is a list of potential causes that would result in a device not authenticating to the mail server, so that I can go through it one by one and they are telling me it's likely the device or the SIM and I just don't believe that it is.
    What we do know:
    - It is not related to my IQ and the classic User IQ Exceeded conclusion
    - It is not related to my password as we have changed this many times, including creating secondary email accounts on the server
    - The guys in Europe were able to authenticate my email to a different device
    - The device works fine, or at least seems to, as I get my personal emails to the device
Help! Anyone have any experience with this?
    -Alf

    http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
According to Apple's list (link above) you will probably want to pick up a Sprint or US Cellular model. HOWEVER, as I mentioned above I know that the Verizon iPhones come unlocked from the factory (assuming it will be the same for iPhone 6 and 6+). I DO NOT KNOW if the Sprint and US Cellular models come unlocked. But I am sure some quick internet research will lead you to the answer.
I think your goal would be to get a Sprint or US Cellular version. Also I believe a law was just recently passed that allows someone to have a phone unlocked by the carrier no questions asked. So even if the Sprint and US Cellular iPhones are locked you can have them unlocked.

OK. That won't work in Azure Automation though, as mentioned above. OrgID (recommended) or cert-based auth will need to be used. PublishSettings file won't work.
Correct, but the original question was:
    <Quote>
Im trying to connect to my azure subscription
    via powershell on my machine
    </Quote>
I wanted to test automation script's core functionality without having to wait for the very very long time taken for an automation runbook
to spin up, actually run and provide output (can often take 2+ minutes for a trivial script). Although i cant run Workbooks on my pc, i can run the core modules (view virtual machines, databases etc) to ensure my logic is sound.

  • Java API Failed to authenticate the user session with LDAP

I have created a Java class that uses the MDM Java Api's it works fine on our Development environment where the MDM server uses its own built in authentication, but when I moved it to our QA environment where MDM use LDAP for authentication its failed with a  'Failed to authenticate the user session'.  Has anyone seen this before?

    hi Dan,
The java class which u have created that suppose to works fine on MDM server because to execute that program there are no requirement of such protocols, the problem u will face while exporting those program to an client machine
LDAP(Lightweight Directory Access protocol) connector communicates with the SAP system using RFC and with the directory server using these standard communication protocol.
so try to select the protocol such that it should help in making connection between the server, direcotryserver and the client machine through which u can execute u r java class using java Api's.
i hope this will give u an idea to through ur problem.

  • Wicd fails to connect with a WEP key

I'm trying to connect to my wireless network after the recent update to net-tools. I sorted through most of my issues with the hostname command (I think) by installing inetutils and the recent update to wicd. Now, after trying to reconnect, my /var/log/wicd/wicd.log looks like the following:

This looks strange to me because I am connecting to a wireless network that has a WEP hex key, and nothing in my configuration suggests any WPA key. I even tried rm-ing all of the *.conf files in /etc/wicd/ to no avail. Thank heavens for netcfg, or I think Arch Linux would have just blown my network stack again, the way the net-tools "upgrade" did
Does anyone have any tips on how to solve this?
P.S. Maybe it would be good to have some testing process for future updates affecting network connectivity? If this were my only computer I would totally have been dead in the water with the net-tools update. It took a sizable amount of time and effort to find out I needed to bootstrap the hostname command. For a while, before I figured to check the wicd logs, I was considering just dropping Arch Linux. Breaking the internet is just about the worst because you leave people with broken systems and no way to look up how to fix them.

Sorry, but I don't think that thread applies here. That thread is dealing with the net-tools upgrade, and the missing hostname utility. I fixed that, dhcpcd works just fine. My problem is that after the wicd update, it tries to use WPA to connect to a network that I have specified as using WEP, so it fails to authenticate.

  • Essbase 9.3.3 Fails to authenticate in SSL Mode

    Hi All,
I have installed Shared Services, Essbase Client, Server and EAS 9.3.3
I can access Shared Services on 58082 for SSL Authentication.
However in the case of Essbase Admin Console, it fails to authenticate on SSL.
Tried starting and restarting Hyperion Admin Services and SSL Services, yet it hasn't helped yet.
Is there any backend changes which I would need to include to enable SSL on Admin Console?
    Thanks!
    Apo

I know this wont help but we had the same issue in 9.3.1 and decide to reinstall without SSL as we could not get to the bottom of it.
I suspect there s something wrong with the SSL config but not sure what it is...

  • Failed to authenticate - Shared Services 11.1.2.1

I've installed and configured Foundation services. When I try to login to Shared Services, I get the following error:
EPMCSS-00301: Failed to authenticate user. Invalid credentials. Enter valid credentials.
    Code: 1000
Description: An error occurred processing the result from the server
    Version - 11.1.2.1
    Windows 2003 R2 SP2
Can anyone help with this issue? I haven't find any solutions on the forum...
    Thanks

    John,
Thanks for the feedback. This is a new install, so I am entering the password that I used in the EPM configurator. Here is the full log:

  • New Essbase install - fail at "Register with Shared services

    Hi all,
I'm configuring up a new LINUX ( Redhat ) server to run Essbase 11.1 and the installation fails at the point where, in the configtool (using this in GUI mode not command line ) it's registering the components with Shared Services. In the configtool logs file I see:
(Jul 20, 2010, 02:47:19 PM), com.hyperion.cis.config.CmsRegistrationUtil, ERROR, Failed to authenticate user = admin
    (Jul 20, 2010, 02:47:19 PM), com.hyperion.cis.config.wizard.RunAllTasksWizardAction, ERROR, Error:
    Error Code: -1
com.hyperion.css.common.configuration.CSSConfigurationException: 20:3008:Failed to connect to native directory. Error Code: 9
On a previous install, I had exactly the same problem, and this was resolved by increased the number of processes on the Oracle XE instance that the shared services was using. However we already tried that and its not the problem. All processes seem to start up OK and if I browse to http://server:28080/interop it gives me the EPM web page, but if I select "Launch Appliction" it opens another window with a error "An error was encountered while performing this operation".
I've tried reinstalling, dropping the HSS schema, stop starting all services and mixtures of all but to no avail.
    Can anyone advise.
    Thanks

Just for info, the we don't have any form of "admin" user that is used anywhere so we're not sure where this is coming from.

  • [SOLVED] Can't push to github (openssh-askpass fails to authenticate)

    Greetings
I am having trouble pushing to github. I have added my public key to github
and checked that it works using
    ssh -T [email protected]
When I try to use git to do a git push origin master I get a password prompt
dialog from openssh-askpass. I tried removing openssh-askpass but it seems
there is not fallback as I get an error of it missing.
There are two dialogs that pop up and I think they don't do the same thing
even though they both ask the same thing viz "enter your ssh passphrase"
I think the first one is actually asking for my username and the second one
is the passphrase. I have tried entering "git" as a username, my github
username and my passphrase as instructed and this all fails to authenticate.
I also can't find where the logs are for openssh. I did
    tail -f /var/log/*
and nothing changes while try to login.
Is there a configuration for git to use openssh-askpass which was added
    that I missed?
Which logs should I be looking at?

This is my solution which seems to work:
After web searching the error I got, I found that there is an environment
variable GIT_ASKPASS and SSH_ASKPASS which launch whatever you tell
    them to get the passphrase.
GIT_ASKPASS is not set by default and git calls SSH_ASKPASS instead.
One of them has to be set otherwise git (and I assume ssh if SSH_ASKPASS
is not set) will not use the passphrase but  will prompt for the password.
The password in my case was the github password. I installed ksshaskpass
because I am on KDE and that removed ssh_askpass and integrates with
KWallet. Here are the commands I used in case the above was not clear:
    export SSH_ASKPASS=""
    sudo pacman -S ksshaskpass
    export GIT_ASKPASS="/usr/bin/ksshaskpass"
    cd Projects/Scripts/
    git push origin master
You obviously don't need the last two commands.

  • Failed to authenticate & Unable to synchronize login time

    Hi,
My OSX clients are bound to OSX Server.
Most clients are 10.8, some are 10.9.
Server is 10.10, recently migrated from 10.6.8.
Most clients can log in to the user accounts in good order.
However I have a couple of clients that cannot log in (they both happen to be 10.9 clients).
The login box just shakes when credentials for any network user are enetered.
When this happens the systme.log on client shows:
Oct 30 09:33:24 imac1252 SecurityAgent[166]: User info context values set for userxyz
    Oct 30 09:33:25 imac1252 authorizationhost[182]: Failed to authenticate user <xyz> (error: 9).
The system.log on 10.10 server shows:
DSUpdateLoginStatus: Unable to synchronize login time for userxyz: 77009
I have checked the time and time zones on server and client and they are identical.
Does anyone have any guidance, please?
    Thanks,
    b.

I spent some hours with Apple Support on this.
Apple Support logged into my server, had me do some testing from different clients with them watching, detroyed & rebuilt OD database, tested with a brand new fresh OD database, uploaded some files for analysis, etc.
    The problem is...
Looking back 8 years or so, my mobile user accunts were created on server 10.6 (or maybe even 10.4 can't remember that far back )
OSX server (back then) did not require or even have have a certiftcate for these accounts.
    Jumping forward to today...
Server 4 on 10.10 requires a certificate for 10.9 clients (and above). But my my OD database (created years ago) does not have a certificate for the accounts to use, and they would not know anything about it even if I created one.
So, support tell me the only option to get things working again is to destroy and rebuild the OD database. I can keep Users, Groups etc, by exporting, but I will need to recreate all passwords.
I will do that in due course.
In the meantime my workaround is to have 10.9 users disconnect from network at the time they enter their login password. They can reconnect as soon as they hit 'return'.
