Failing to install/download PSE 11 for mac

Hey,
I have bought PSE 11 for windows a year ago and now would like it to install it on my new mac machine. In my orders, I only can download a windows installer.
I have searched in the forum and found the following link to download a mac version:

I managed to download a dmg file, but upon running it, I immediately get: invalid checksum. So, I cannot install it.
I could not find any help regarding this problem in the forum.

Hi Tamirye,
This error is usually caused due to corrupted download file.
Please redownload the package if possible from a different browser and check.

    Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
    At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions.  I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

    It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

    You have four options that I know of.
    1) Use an external DVD drive that will work on the MBA. (Apple's external Superdrive for MBA)
    2) Use a remote disk connection, using another Mac with a DVD drive, and sharing the drive with the MBA.
    3) Download Office from Microsoft's website, and then use only the registration code that came with your DVD purchase to authorize the registration.
    4) Copy the contents of the Office DVD to a USB flash drive, using another computer. Then install from that flash drive.
    Maybe someone else has an idea, if none of the above will woek for you.

    If you purchased the Perpetual Licensed version of Lightroom and received a 24 numeric serial number you will have to download the correct version from the link below.
    Before doing the new installation you will have to uninstall the existing version from your computer (it is the Creative Cloud version) since it is requesting you to "renew your membership" . This process will not interfere with your Catalog file, Preferences or your personal files, it will just remove the existing application. Both versions are the same application just a different download and activation process.
    Reboot your system then run the install of the Perpetual License download and input the serial number to activate. Things should be fine.

    your pc serial number won't work with that mac installer so there's no reason to track down the cause of that error.
    you can upgrade to adobe cc and use the latest adobe programs on your pc and mac but older adobe suites are either mac or pc, not both.

  • Safari Keychain error after installing Office 2008 for Macs

    I installed Office 2008 for Macs this morning. It then checked for updates to download, found a couple of big ones, and they were downloaded.
    Since then, when in Safari, I keep getting a message saying something like "A keychain cannot be found for Safari" with 2 options: Cancel or Return to Default. Neither one changes anything.
    I use only web-based email (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo) so this is a major annoyance for me.
    From Office 2008 for Macs, I really only need to use Word & Excel, so I would like to uninstall Entourage, Messenger and probably PowerPoint as well. However, at this point I'm, afraid to do anything else. (Also, i thought it was strange I didn't have a chance to pick w/ Office products to install.)
    Any ideas on how to get rid of this Keychain message in Safari?

    Follow Up: A few days later, there was a Apple software update. After it was installed, the keychain error message went away.
    The keychain error was so annoying, I had decided not to install Office for Macs on my iMac, but since there's no longer a problem on my MacBook, I will probably go ahead and put it on the iMac.

    Do you have a backup. If so you should be able to restore it from that. Otherwise you can reinstall OS X. See Carolyn's post in I accidentally deleted iBooks on my Macbook Pro (late 2011) running on OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite. Will iBooks be reinstalled if I install the next OS X major update once it is out?

    I have just downloaded the trial version of pse for mac. I have previously used - very successfully - both photoshop elements and premiere elements on my sony vaio. My question is - will I be able to make slideshows in the same way as I did on the Vaio on my mac and will I be able to burn them onto disc? The trial version doesn't appear to allow me to burn to disc only to produce a pdf file. Will this look the same or not? My previous slideshows done on the vaio were great and I just want to know if I will be able to do exactly the same thing on the mac before I go ahead and buy the latest version when it comes out in a few days time.     Well, “Final Cut Express” can do “individual” slide-shows pretty well...
    (FCE’s Motion control lets you keyframe any parameter...)

    Install the v10.6.7 combo update here.
    Restart your Mac after the update is installed.

    Here you can download the right version, but keep in mind that you need a license key as well, to activate this version longer than 30 days.

    but just like AH said above, you can tap+hold/delete and find the files if they are there.
    with the PDF Reader Pro: once I download and view a file, it will always show in that reader until I delete it.
    when I download and open a pdf, it gives me the option to open it with a list of the products that I have installed that can view them.
