Failure convert Exportpdf

I use Adobe Reader X and yesterday, I bought Export Pdf to convert Pdf to excel. But when I've tried to convert the file, it's a problem and the file doesn't convert. What can I do? The PDF origin is from Excel 2010 and there are 1820 pages in the PDF document (39 mb).

Hi anabsa,
Try disabling the OCR function and converting your file again: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3062
That's a lot of pages to convert and it sounds like the service may be timing out before the conversion completes.

    Hi rlgrapes,
The quality of a conversion really depends on the quality of the PDF. (You didn't do anything wrong.)

The answer is always the same – Failure converting to PDF or Failure exporting to doc …. or error saving document.

    Hi Johnlorio,
I am an engineer on the Reader Mobile team and would like to help fix your issue.
I need some more information to investigate into the issue:
    1. How big (size) are the files that you are trying to convert? KBs, MBs?
    2. Have you tried signing out of the account and signing in again?
    3. Are you getting this error for all files you are trying to convert or only for some files?
Thanks for your patience. We will try and resolve your issue as quickly as possible.

  • Conversion from SXW to DOC without StarOffice

I have a situation in which I have a number of text and tabular files with the SXW extension but I need to convert them into MSOffice analogs. My problem is I cannot install StarOffice on this machine and no longer have access to a StarOffice machine. Any hope?>
There is a (slight) possibility of installing StarOffice between backups but only if I get a very thorough uninstall process, completely cleaning out the registry and other non-obvious or hidden files.
    Can do?

What did you use to convert - ExportPDF?  Can you post a screenshot of how your converted document looks; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933

How do I use the Adobe sftware to change a PDF report into a Word File ?? Where will it be stored ?

    Hi,
Please refer the below mentioned link on getting started with Adobe ExportPDF
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2412
The files would not be stored anywhere on the adobe server, once it gets converted, ExportPDf would give you an option to save the file locally on your computer.

I mean what is the database charcater set. Such as utf-8, french locale etc., when you installed your database it must have asked you for the characterset. By default I believe UTF-8. As you are using the same demo programs and the associated data. It must be something related to your instllation specific issue.
There is a known bug that cause this kind of error when your database locale (character set) that uses , instead of . for decimal representations. The fix will be avaialble in the next patch.

  • [solved] Problem adding menu icon to pypanel

Hello, I'm moving into a new place and I'm putting my desktop in the living room as a community media center since neither me or my roommates own a TV, and I'm the only one with a working desktop. They're used to Windows and a start menu. I'm running Openbox + pypanel and thought I'd make their transition a little easier by adding a start menu icon to pypanel. I followed the instructions here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=68177 but it isn't working. Everytime I click on the arch icon I just get this in my terminal:
    Error: Invalid key sequence 'C-m'
Failure converting key sequence 'C-m' to keycodes
    Error: Invalid key sequence 'C-m'
Failure converting key sequence 'C-m' to keycodes
xdo_keysequence reported an error for string 'C-m'
here is the important part of my pypanelrc config:
    ("xdotool key C-m", "/home/neruson/.icons/archlinux/icons/archllinuxiconcrystal128.png"),
In obkey my key is Ctrl+M and the key text is C-m, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
    EDIT:
I should also add I've tried this with the key as SUPER+Space too with the same error.
    EDIT 2:
Nevermind, solved. I'm just stupid and can't follow directions well... ctrl+m instead of C-m... duh

Thanks for the heads up on the scripts.
~/.bash_profile has me annoyed though. It's as if it is not being executed. Will have to try adding something with a visible effect to confirm.
My ~/.bash_profile is owned by me and is executable but it simply will not add the path to the variable.
Could it be something to do with the way my session is handled?
I am currently launching my session through GDM via inittab. I know when a session is launched this way, for example, ~/.xinitrc is ignored. Perhaps this is the same for ~/.bash_profile?
Regarding ~/.bashrc, it does work this way, but it only adds the path when a terminal is launched. I need the path added regardless of a terminal being opened or not.
    Cheers.

  • How can I down load a PDF to Word that is correct?

I am trying to convert a PDF file to Word.  When download is complete and I access the file it is not a correct replica of the PDF file.  It is useless to use it the way it was converted.

ExportPDF will try to preserve the formatting of the original document: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1513
Some users have found that disabling OCR yields a result closer to original PDF for documents that were not necessarily constructed properly when the PDFs were originally created: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3062

  • Why do i always get conversion failure when converting pdf files to xls in exportpdf program?

I have had export pdf for months.  I cannot export pdf files to excel files.  It always says conversion failure. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?  I am so frustrated!  This was supposed to make my payroll reports easier, but it has not helped at all.

    Hi denise/sharon,
I can understand your frustration. Are you converting via the ExportPDF website, or from within Adobe Reader? Does the conversion failure occur every time that you try to convert a file (has it ever worked for you)?
Since you're talking about payroll, I'm assuming that you're accessing ExportPDF from a corporate computer. You may want to check with your IT department to make sure there are no firewall/proxy settings that limit your access to the Internet.
Also, make sure that you're using a supported web browser. You can find a list here: System Requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro and Online Services
Finally, if you're using Reader, you can try disabling OCR (optical character recognition) by following the steps in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • "file failed to be converted using Adobe ExportPDF online"

I have been getting errors for about a week when trying to convert a PDF to a word document. In Acrobat I get the error "File failed to be converted using Adobe ExportPDF Online" and when online using ExportPDF I get a conversion failure.
    Please help.

    Hi PeterChick,
Does it occur with all files or a specific file?
Are you trying to convert from within Reader or from Browser?
If from Reader then make sure you are signed in within Reader, also try updating Reader to the latest v11.0.09 and check.
If from Browser then have you checked with a different browser if possible?

Problems converting PDF to MS Word document.  I successfully converted 4 files and now subsequent files generate a "conversion failure" error when attempting to convert the file.  I have a large manuscript and I separated each chapter to assist with the conversion; like I said, first 4 parts no problem, then conversion failure.  I attempted to convert the entire document and same result.  I specifically purchased the export to Word feature.  Please assist.  I initially had to export the Word Perfect document into PDF and attempting to go from PDF to MS Word.

    Hi sdr2014,
I'm sorry to hear your conversion process has stalled. It sounds as though the problem isn't specific to one file, as you've been unable to convert anything since the first four chapters converted successfully.
    So, let's try this:
If you're converting via the ExportPDF website, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in. If you're using Reader, please choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version installed.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • Convert pdf to word error message "conversion failure", where can I find out more info why conversion failed?

I tried each of the available exportformats:  .doc, .docx, .xls, .rtf.  None of them worked, which only the message "conversion failure".

    Hi bergmanc,
It sounds like there may be an issue with the file that you're trying to convert. Have you tried to convert other files? If so, are they converting without error?
Please tell me a little more about the file that you're trying to convert. For example, what is its file size, how many pages does it have, are there lots of graphics, or a mix of fonts? If the file is complex, it may be that the ExportPDF service is timing out before it can complete the conversion process. It also possible, that the PDF may not be written properly, if t was created by a third-party appellation.
You can simplify the conversion process by disabling OCR as described here: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community (but this solution isn't optimal if the PDF was created from a scanned document.)
Please let us know a bit more about your file, and we'll see what we can figure out.

  • I am trying to convert a file to word and I keep getting "raffle ticket.pdfConversion Failure"   can you help me?

Conversion Failure"  what am I doing worng??

    Hi sharonm37841720,
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Are you able to convert other PDF files without error? How large is this particular file? Are you converting via Adobe Reader or the the ExportPDF web interface?
For starters, please clear the browser cache, and log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com. Make sure that you're using a supported web browser (see System Requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro and Online Services) and that there aren't any proxy or firewall settings that are restricting your access to the Internet.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • I have just purchased the PDF to word converter and I am trying to convert from PDF to word and keep getting a conversion failure? If this can't be fixed how do I cancel my subscription?

I keep getting a conversion failure when I try to convert from a PDF into word. Does anyone have any suggestions?

To use the online service you must upload the file to the service's web site after sign in to your account.
The ExportPDF and the PDF Pack Services provide for PDF to Word / Excel.
Each has its own dedicated user-2-user forum where you'll want to browse and ask questions.
    For ExportPDF:

    For PDF Pack:
